Slight yellow tinge - bottom of display - ZTE Axon Pro

Does anyone else notice this on their Axon?
It's not very dramatic but it is bothersome and the only flaw that I seem to have on the device

No yellow on my screen at all. Could it be a screen protector you applied or is your screen without one?

No protector here. It's not a drastic issue but it is noticeable. I'm assuming the backlight is in the bottom and that's what's causing the discrepancy

screen protectors yes/no anyone tried them I ordered the glass ones off amazon see how the fit and work.

I bought a supershieldz tempered glass one off of EBay for $5.99. Fits nice and looks good.

Notice the same screen appear slightly yellowish (specially on white) towards the bottom.

Oh no.... this is the reason why I sold OnePlus One which had exactly same problem.... will see if my Axon will get the yellow bottom when I get it

stock screen protector

I'll be getting one of these in a few days time and wanted to know if it ships with a screen protector and if it does, is it usable. 1st gen shipped with one but had this big whitish moto g logo that ruined everything. As this mobile is quite new failed to find too many options. There is the usual GadgetShield but just wanted to know if the stock (if it has) can be used for a few months.
Any help would be appreciated.
The bottom left corner is white, but it's quite good in my opinion, due to it's matte surface the screen looks a bit grainy, but it's good enough until there are other screen protectors available.

Thanks
I haz me a chineZe glass on my Nexus5 and Im getting the misses a MotoG2 and a Glass screen protector for her also..
Mine didn't came with a screen protector. I got it from London. Had to buy a couple on Amazon, turns out the Matte ones are the best choice for me. Doesn't require much cleaning and are like the glossy ones.

The little white tab actually peels off, lift the protector up a bit and use your nail to get the tab off and stick back the protector.
I just ordered an Ultimate shield protector though off ebay, hope it's good.

Can anybody give me link of good matte screen protector.
I got my moto g yesterday, I still have the initial plastic layer on my screen.. So do I need a screen protector? Because colors like blue, orange seem a bit dull..
i put on it a glass screen protector (casebase) and i notice that if i put the phone on a table and i try to use the touch sometimes it doesn't work on the edges...for example it's hard to write the Q or the P with the keyboard
if I keep it in hand it works better, but not as good as it was without the glass protector or with the classical screen protector made of plastic
same here

I put a mr. Shield screen protector on my wifes moto g2. It was super easy to apply, looks absolutely perfect. They are super cheap on amazon. Not tempered glass tho. They were 6 bucks shipped for a pack of 5. I highly recommend them.

You can remove this white corner tape cover.
It's not matte, but I do have this brand, and it's pretty good. Cheap, too. I've used them plenty of times before, and I've always been pretty happy with this company.

Surprised by the antiglare screen...

When I first got my new LG G R I thought that the screen had a plastic coating on it since it was quite dull as you would see if using an antiglare screen protector on your phone. Tried to remove the film but there was nothing there. So I guess the permanent screen is antiglare?
Odd choice. While I guess this makes sense for broad daylight, it takes away some of the visual beauty of the screen. As far as I know, no other smartwatch has gone this root. Am I missing something here? There doesn't seem to be a plastic film on the screen as far as I can tell. So the plastic OLED screen itself is exposed with no protective glass at all? For this price I find that really surprising. Seems like this could get easily scratched and finger oils smudge it badly.
Thanks.
P.S., Obviously a tempered glass screen protector would solve this problem on a number of levels.
The dull sort of antiglare effect is noticable mostly in bright sunlight. Indoors the screen seems nice and bright although I still think I'll be getting a tempered glass screen protector.

There is no anti-glare "film" .. it is just low-glare material.
What you see and touch is not the OLED film .. that one is very very VERY thin and it's placed on a substrate made out of Plastic (SUB-strate means under). What you see and touch it's a material (hard plastic or glass, I have no idea) that is fused with the OLED (using some gel bond material, similar with the one used in cell phones displays).
More than that, the OLED itself has very very low reflectance (a great characteristic of OLED as a technology) => the great low-glare effect.
Good post. Thanks. Im getting screen protector which should make the screen appear a little more vibrant.

Moto Z vs Moto Z Force screen comparison

The Force appears to have a better screen in it than the Z. I have both devices in my possession and have noticed a difference when you tilt the screens. On the standard Z, the further you get away from center the more washed out the colors get and at extreme angles the colors almost invert. You can take the Z Force screen all the way to the very edge to where you can't even see the screen anymore and the colors never fade away or change at all. I don't know if it's a totally different LCD of if they have bonded the plastic screen to the LCD in some new way, but the viewing angles are awesome on the Force. Just an observation.
I totally would have expected the opposite, other shatterproof displays in the past have been crap. Need to go check them out now.

This is exactly what I thought too. I was so confused I had to keep checking the phones to make sure I didn't have them in the wrong hands. I couldn't believe it. The damn plastic shatterproof screen is beating out the glass piece. This might be the future for all phones.
I put a glass screen protector over my Force screen so I have the best of both worlds. For those who don't know the shattershield screens dent very easily so be careful.

No both phones were fresh out of the box. The shattershield phones come with a preinstalled plastic screen protector (which sucks) and it was on as well and nothing on top of it. Just came out of the box.
I was going to take that plastic protector off before I put the glass down but opted not to. Doesn't seem to have affected visual clarity.
Don't they say the force's screen is better?

The top layer of the shatter shield is plastic...and removable?
I had my phone for 7 days and there are some noticeable (albeit light) scratches. Annoying since I've babied it. I installed a screen protector yesterday on it.

You're not talking about the one that has white text that says "SIM/SD Card Tray" or what the buttons are right?
So I did I just put a screen protector on a screen protector? I mean, I'm OCD but that might have been excessive...

If the phone is anything like the droid turbo 2, there is a factory plastic screen protector installed that can be removed. Since I didn't touch my phone until my glass screen protector arrived, I put my glass protector right over the top of everything and it looks great.

in essence, yeah you did. The top layer of the shattershield screen is plastic and acts like what most people would consider a screen protector....
for past phones you could buy replacement top layers from Motorola...im not sure if they are on sale for our phones yet...
I'm in the market for a tempered glass screen protector as well. Glass just feels better to me. So I can remove the plastic cover and put the tempered glass instead?

I would not recommend removing the plastic layer as this is part of the shattershield and would imagine using the phone without it would void the warranty of the screen even with sing an aftermarket protector. I have not read documentation to back this up but it would be worth looking inot since the screen is guaranteed not to shatter for four years, it would be a shame to void the warranty so early into the warranty period.

It's a removable plastic screen protector. Moto sells replacements.
The only issue I have with the Z Force screen (and it really is a non issue) is that it has an odd discoloration when looking at it with polarized sunglasses. The colors are.... I dunno.. Odd....

How does the screen protector over the screen protector look? It seems that would really be overkill and mess up the texting.

I'm glad I did it. The stock screen protector is incredibly soft. Yes it is replaceable but they are pricey.
The screen protector I chose has a matte look to it and gives the screen a little bit more tactile feel. I like it. It's not as distorted as as you'd think.

I hate putting on screen protectors. It usually comes out crooked or there is dirt under it. This one is very forgiving. Got it on my first try and the dirt was gone by the second day.

Auckly TGSP

Hi !
Has anyone here bought the Auckly screen protector for oneplus 5T ?
I'm considering buying it, but I haven't seen any review of it yet.
Is it compatible with the case included in the OP5T box ?
Thanks
according to a comment on amazon it sticks only on the black edges and not in the center. which makes the touch does not respond very well
I ordered orzly pro will get it tomorrow I'll post my review once I install it
thanks a lot
I have got an Auckly fitted and yes it only sticks to the edges but I have noticed no difference at all to screen sensitivity. With the screen off in some types of light there is a slight oil-slick stripe down the middle but as I say this is only in some types of artificial light and it is not visible with the screen on. Similarly there is a light dot matrix effect but this isn't visible with the screen on either.
I have the auckly TGSP installed on my OP5T, but I see the dot pattern and the oil slick stripe even when the screen is on. How could I prevent this ?

Screen Protector faint lines

Hi all together
Just got the note 9 and got the screen protector installed at the mobile shop. At home i saw two faint lines right and left of the screen protector. And it seems the glue does not touch the corners. It was a quality screen protector not a cheap one. The lines are not to visible, but still. Anyone made the same expirence? Will dust accumulate under the corners?
Thanx for any advice
Where are you the lines? There has to be an edge unless you get the Ringke which wraps around to the back of the phone. Unless the edges are lifted up and your case doesn't interfere it should be fine.

Was mainly noticeable as a hologram rainbow effect again very faint when a white image was displayed.
Same issue here. I thought I had a defective note 9 at first. I believe all the tempered glass protectors do that on this device.
