Shoulderpod S1 for capture Timelapse / HDR Shots - Galaxy S6 Edge Accessories

Hi Guys
Just found yesterday this gear for photography. Think its a great idea to enjoy our great S6 / S6 Edge camera . If somebody of you have photography as a hobby I think it will be interesting for you as well.
I have my two tripods for DSLR Photography of landscape image... but with this part I think it will be a great solution as well for the "Androphotography"
What do you think about this part ?
Shoulderpod S1

nice, i would love to see it in action.
Only problem i see, is if i know im taking big photos i take my SLR.
My phone is more of a - i have it everywhere take snaps thing.
So i would forget to take the grip with me!

i think HandlePod is a more fitting name since the inclusion of 'shoulder' implies some sort of stablisation like a shoulder rig would give.
for video, i have this (freebie) selfie stick i use as a handle grip...

to use as a table top tripod, i have a phone holder i attach to an Arca swiss style QR plate like so...
or if i'm traveling with my tripod, like so...
but since i pretty much have a photo camera married to my body all the time, i'll mount it to the top should i ever want to take a photo with it as well as being able to use it as a larger live view and having full control over the camera like so...
but the shoulderpod s1 does combine most of these functions into one pretty portable piece.

I will order my shoulderpod S1 next days for sure

[Q] Anyone tried suction cup *on back of* Galaxy Tab?

Seeing how flat and glossy that back cover is, I'm wondering if an "industrial" suction cup mount (like RAM part#: RAP-B-224-2U) would hang on to the *back of* the Samsung Galaxy Tab?? (Search gpscity.com for an example image & video... i'm not allowed to embed links yet)
I know there's all kinds of side-grip & snap-in tray style mounts out there already that should obviously work but I can't help but be curious... that RAM suction cup is so friggin strong... it would provide an easy entry into all the mix and match RAM parts I've already collected for my Samsung Q1U tablet (bicycle handlebars mainly)... and it seems like it might even yield a cleaner look than the more traditional alternatives.
Anyone have the actual hardware on hand to try this and satisfy my curiosity?
I don't know what exact model you're talking about, but I LOVE the idea! And I am quite certain you could put a suction cup straight onto the back of the tab without any problems. A double sided suction cup would be a perfect solution for car mounting...

Used this one for my HTC HD2. The Tab needs two to be held strong, but you're right its back surface keeps good suction.
I am sure it would work. I bought this small mount with stickem on the back and it works like a champ. I would think that a suction cup would be even better.

How to fix videos not recording sound / audio on the nexus one

My nexus one (purchased used) has never recorded audio when recording a video. I stumbled across a post where someone had squeezed near the mic and fixed the issue. I discovered exactly what was going on. After squeezing the area around the mic while recording I determined that I may need to disassemble the phone to correct the issue. After looking at the teardown on ifixit.com I saw that the mic is held in by a connector that can be seen through a slot in the back black plastic under the battery cover. I folded over a post-it note pushed it in to the slot and CLICK, the connector snapped back in to place. I also left a little post-it note piece in to the slot to keep it in place. See the attached photo for details.
Please share this with others on other forums if you have seen other threads with this issue. I hope it helps others!

Hi
it s exactly the same for me ....dictaphone works ...all mp3 works but my own videos are as in 1900's : without sound !!!!
i tried (after laughing a lot about your helpful post) with a piece of post it note but it doesn t work still .
i know how i probably broke it : sometimes bootloader was frozen so i had to take off the battery with some hurts (as a torch which doesn t work so u hurt the bottom of it to make the light get back) i m stupid because i should have used a little tool to take the battery off ...
i m trying to install a old stock ROM ..maybe????
thanks to U for this solution ...
regards from France

My wooden stylus

I have an iPad and a nexus s... The stylus works with both and wanted to share with you guys. I do recommend this stylus for drawing and note taking. I'm sure this will work with honeycomb tablets.
This stylus is called the E. Stylo stylus for capacitive screens.
e.stylo features:
- lightweight
- both tips work at different angles
- no extra pressure is needed for it to work
- works with gloves on
- smoothly glides over the screen
The final price of e.stylo will be $15.95 plus $4.99 US shipping and $7.99 for international shipping.
Purchased from http://www.Plai.tv/ if any artist/note takers are interested.
I also made a video of it....(videos in my signature) Check it out if u want to see how it responds on the nexus and iPad.
You can scroll the pictures to the right... sorry about the huge pics.

LOL nice
it looks like a small chopstick or a very thick toothpick
which BTW works the same way, in fact any soft edge pointy stick will do just the same
personally i prefer to use my finger nails to write, it's 100% natural in writing and you carry it with you all the time
It's very nice.... Just like a chopstick (edgy), as long as a pencil, and lightweight but not too light.... those pics suck.
I cant wait for the samsung tab, this would be a great stylus for it.
Once Sammy is out, I'm throwing the iPad in the trash. (for sale)

Perfect Universal car mount.

Just though I would post a really nice mount that works well with the Note II from any carrier as well as nearly any other phone, Happen to come across this while looking for Christmas present ideas and picked one up for myself and love it so far.
It uses a nice small metal plate that you can put in the back of a case or even a smaller round one that fits perfectly between the back cover and the battery/housing then holds the phone securely without any bulky snap in annoying part. Here's an URL (since I can't post links just yet) to the page for it as well if you want one which I really recommend since its only like $30 and way better than those cheap ones you can find at Walmart or anything you would find for more.
"amazon.com/gp/product/images/B008IOQ3K6/ref=dp_image_z_0?ie=UTF8&n=2335752011&s=wireless"
Let me know what you guys think. Hope this helps some searching for some of you!
Here's some photos of it for a quick glance.

THis has been posted before. The problem with this is that its magnetic and will at least while in use cause your spen and compass to not work. Not sure about long term effects , but samsung warns against magnets.
Iphone SUX
I havent see it effect anything while using the gps at this point. Still trlls me where im going and where im at but ill up date if something changes.
And k.0.0.l iphones do sux but why they still post them in photos of stuff I could not say why.

I posted this earlier in another thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973792
It really is the best universal mount. It does NOT affect the compass because our device uses GPS. It only affects the s-pen if the magnet is close enough to the tip (probably not close enough if using a case).

Newly purchased - Small slit at top?

I can't find information elsewhere on the internet, so I thought I would confirm here. I just purchased this phone and where the metal border meets the glass screen at the top, there is a very thin gap. It begins just before the decorative matte strip at the top. It became more noticeable (assuming dust is getting in) the more I've been talking on the phone.
Is this the speaker?
upload a photo of it, personally I don't recognise what you're describing.
I just peeled back my case enough to look, yes that seems to be the speaker opening.

You have to zoom in. The gap starts and ends where I posted the arrows. I can fit a folded post it inside it by about 1mm.
All I can assume is that this is the speaker location.
yes I have that too. I had never noticed it until you prompted me to look.
thinking about it, it would be weird if nothing was there.
nice colour choice BTW

Yes I believe it's a speaker as well.
