Has anyone successfully used a 3rd party texting app that sends mms over WiFi?

As far as I know, MMS doesn't send over WiFi. I use Google Messenger, and MMS works fine, but I don't think over WiFi.

I've been using Textra just fine, set max MMS size to No limit, and it turns on LTE alongside wifi to send the pics

how to send and receive mms without data enabled?
Not possible unless you use wifi I believe.

Mms is from phone to phone through your service provider. It only works over data. But normal data charges don't apply. Instead each carrier has specific mms charges. My Vodafone charges rs 3 per mms no matter what I send or how big.

MMS

Anybody having issues sending and receiving MMS via WiFi?
Just curious - are you using the stock messaging app, or something else?
I'm coming from an LG G2, and spent a few months working with support to finally determine I couldn't use a non-stock app and still send MMS over wifi. I miss Handcent, but switching back to the stock app did the trick. I don't know if that's true with the S6, but would guess it is.

Using stock messenger app. I tried tweaking the APN according to what others were recommending on older gen Galaxys by selecting IPv6/IPv4 but still not able to get MMS to work over wifi.

MMS or group message on wifid

Chroma, Verizon. Textra or evolvesms.
OK so it seems when I use a third party app I can't seem to send a MMS on WiFi or group text on WiFi. Messenger app seems to work but not liking limited features. I've added the MMS to my apn to see if that was wrong but I'm still unable to send pic message on WiFi. Is anybody have this issue?

Verizon sends all MMS through data server. Always been that way. There used to be a hack to force it over wifi. Not sure if can be done now or not.
Do you remember the hack?

Google's 'Messages' app MMS breaks mobile data (Pro)

Hi guys, got my pro on Thursday last week, enjoying it so far, but on Friday night noticed a bug. I use Google's messages app for my default messaging app. I like it, it performs well, I've been using it since it came out. However, whenever I try to send or if someone tries to send me an MMS it won't come through and it breaks my mobile data.
The default SMS app works for MMS and sending an MMS through there works even after messages has broken my mobile data and actually reactivates the mobile data. I don't get it. Any ideas?

Upon furher testing it seems that all 3rd party messaging apps have the same issue.
I got an update the other day and now it works
Mobile data is broken for me ... what was the particular symptom when 'mobile data broke' ? I do not have data at all on my phone, only WiFi. Thanks

I have Verizon and as of 10 days ago, cannot use the stock Samsung app to send any mms messages including Picture or group texts. I can receive mms messages fine, just cannot send them. Also, if I use a 3rd party app, the mms messages work fine, just a little slow. I have cleared the app data, booted in safe mode, had Verizon refresh the network, and wiped my phone multiple times. Nothing has fixed the problem. Wiping the phone worked temporarily. I need to use the stock messaging app in order to use the messaging function on my gear s3
You may need the configurations that your carrier provides for mms with the stock app, ask yor carrier for them

Same as me. I'm thinking about contacting Samsung about it to see what they can do
