no
i know mega guys are bad chinese peoples but no ive got dropbox also but i think it generates to much traffic if some more guys then you are using the link
sorry.

I'm currently on Cyanogenmod 12.1, can I use the CM recovery to flash both of these, or do I need TWRP first?

on cm12 boot to bootloader
open flashtool
flash the twrp
boot in twrp
flash the rom
flash the kernel

Can this rom be flashed on a locked bootloader?
I was able to obtain root and install recovery through exploit by flashing Z3 system image, everything works fine until TWRP installs ROM / Kernel, then it dies.
Restarting the process of going back to Kitkat is available through flashtool, so no hard brick. But tried this twice so far and no luck.

Just look in op
Point 6 unlock bootloader etc
I dont test it in LB because the first thing ive doing in a newer xperia is UB
So i think it wohnt work in LB
Sorry
The only way if you want is save Ta etc UB then try it

unfortunately my bootoader can't be unlocked, I've since moved onto a rooted stock and it works as expected.

So, I tried installing this this morning and I am stuck in a bootloop. I've uploaded a video for you to show what is happening. I can't get into recovery or anything.
https://youtu.be/SXTSu1KtGW4
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I used RecRoot V4 to get root, bundled it into a prerooted zip with PRFCreator, unlocked my bootloader, flashed the advanced kernel+twrp from way back, flashed the zip I built and voila, Marshmallow rooted. I don't have access to Recovery, even though RecRoot V4 claims to come with it.. but I'm not losing much in my circumstance.

Oh man, that was from a long time ago. How odd is it that I have the tablet in front of me right now and am trying to root it. I upgraded to 6.0.1 yesterday and now trying to find a way to root it. Maybe, you can help with that
Thanks

and flashed again twrp 3.0.2.0 with flashtool because of a boot issue
i flash back to 4.4 because of battery and Performance issues

[STOCK][Jelly Bean 9.1.A.1.141][T]Rooted & Deodexed[10/06/13]

This is just a simple ROM I built with dsixda's Android Kitchen. Saw some people requesting a clean, rooted, stock ROM so I started a poll to gauge interest and it was enough for me have a crack at it. It's not really development but I figured this was the best place to drop it.
It's based on the LT30P_9.1.A.1.141_PL.ftf posted by @Supersonic335. I only rooted and deodexed it.
All the usual blah blah about bricking your device applies. It works fine on my phone so it should work on yours.
Features
* STOCK
* ROOT (Chainfire SuperSU 1.25 & BusyBox 1.21.0)
* DEODEXED
Basic flashing instructions
1. Root with Bin4ry's method(*) Make sure to use v21 or later!
2. install CWM for locked bootloaders.(*)
3. Go to recovery and wipe
4. Flash ROM.
5. Flash kernel (**)
6. Flash CWM & Reboot fix (**)
7. Reboot.
8. Enjoy
(*) skip these steps if you already have CWM recovery or unlocked bootlader.
(**)Not for unlocked bootlooader

You lose CWM after the flash because it's not in the kernel image as it is in a custom kernel.
The reboot fix has to do with the ric file which causes reboots when trying to access /system as r/w iirc.
I'm going to be testing a build now which has CWM and the reboot fix integrated and also a different fix for the "missing" wlan driver.

OK, all the sequence again from the beginning.
1. I flash stock 303 rom
2. Rooting it, installing CWM via usb debugging mode.
3. Entering recovery, flashing rom (recovery after flashing rom is still exists, isn`t it?)
4. Then i flash what ? CWM or reboot fix ? I suppose fix, because CWM will be still availiuble!?
So, what for to flash CWM form CWM? If i will lose CWM i still can flash new CWM from installed new .195 rom via debugging mode, isn`t it ? Or i don`t get something at all ? ((
You need to flash both CWM and reboot fix. After reboot CWM will be gone. It is actually in a ramdisk while in recovery. The recovery.tar which holds it is in /system/bin and is flashed over on update. That's why you need to flash it again. You should be able to install it again from. 195 but it's just easier to do it while you're already in recovery. It doesn't matter which of the two you flash first.

All clear, thank you!
Will try to do it today.
Just flashed the rom, CWM and fix, everything passed just great, everything works..., what can i say, i`m happy! Thank you so much for your work.
But one thing, you didn`t make changes in kernel ? It`s strange, because the kernel in this .195 f/w is dated by jule, however this kernel was in old .303 f/w and in the new .195 f/w there must be new kernel dated by september, what do you say ? And i see changed file sysmon.cfg respondable for CPU frequency control and LCD brightness. In the old f/w i was changing values by myself as i want LCD brightness, and i see this file has an another values than in old .303 f/w. Does it you made changed or this was in stock ?

You should add to instruction, that after all need to flash via Flashtool stock kernel from .195 f/w from here

Otherwise there will be bootloop after switching on extended battery mode. I flashed, and everithing is OK

Hi.
If I am on other custom Rom with LB, do you thing that I will be flash directly your Rom step by step, without 1step/flash. 303 stock Rom/, without problem?

If you are already on a custom .195 and have working cwm recovery you can flash it directly. I do advise to wipe, you can make a backup up your apps with Titanium backup.

Now that 7.0.A.3.223 is out, ¿any chance of getting an updated version of your rom?.
I like deodexed stock ones with as little modifications as possible, so I can customize them to my likes.
And so far yours has been great (except I switched SuperUser for SuperSU).

I've been using Siyah kernel with rom 3.195 and I'm very satisfied with it.
(There's a report that version 0.2 doesn't work with latest rom (3.223), but I know a user in another forum who says it is working fine for him, so who knows. Either way I'm waiting to see if Gokhanmoral releases kernel 0.3 before I update to rom 3.223).
¿Deodexed?
I've tried to customize the status bar icons with Rom Toolbox, but it complains that this rom is not deodexed (and in fact changing the icons does not work).
But this rom is supposed to be deodexed so, ¿does anybody know why this happens?.

[Q] CM11 + CWM on GT-N7000

Hi Guys. short (and maybe dumb) question but i have to be sure before messing up the phone of my friend.
I would like to flash CM11 nightlies with clockworkmod on a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000.
I have read several tutorials for flashing the GT-N7000 and i'm not sure which is the best way to do it.
It is neccesary to update or change the (current stock) kernel? Or is it possible to just copy the recovery and ROM to the SD card, boot into download mode, install from there?
Sorry i only have experience with flashing my HTC One X.
Thanks in advance,
Greetings
I am in the same possition. A friend of mine wants to help him install a custom rom to his n7000.
He has the stock samsung rom and the phone is LAGGY!!
I only have experience with flashing cm11 to my own galaxy s3 with philz touch recovery.
I am reading for 4 hours now and i am lost...
Should i only use TWRP?
but twrp has a version only for cm 10...(i havent found by searching any cm11 twrp version for n7000)
Should i use cm 10 then and all is ok??
Thanks a lot
I am reading things about installing kernel for recovery (philz touch)
After installing that, its just wipe data / cache and install Rom from Zip.
Im still bit confused about the rooting process -> Trough Zip or trough Odin.
I hope some1 can help me.
First you need root. Then you can flash a custom rom.
To root your device tgere a several ways possible. All written here in sticky threads.
Easy way via Philz Kernel. You will get custom recovery and root in in step. What Rom is currentky installed? Last five digits are enough.

Stock rom is currently installed. I uploaded a picture with the specs within an attachment
Search for XXLTA Kernel in PhilZ thread and flash this one. All written in PhilZ thread. After that take your new Rom an follow the instructions in the thread again. For CM 11 you need also Raw4 kernel first. Only after that flash the custom rom. But that's all written 100000 times here....

yes that is enough but gapps are usually installed right after the ROM so having it together with the other files is a good idea.
- transfer ROM, Kernels to internal or external SD.
- flash Philz JB kernel compatible with your device [ follow the instruction in Philz kernel thread on how to flash with no yellow triangle ] and reboot then verify that root is working (just try and give a file explorer root access or install an app like root checker from playstore)
- Once root is verified reboot to recovery (you should now be in philz touch recovery) I recommend you take a nandroid backup but the choice is yours
- Wait for the backup to complete or if you are skipping backup then
a) wipe data factory reset
b) wipe cache
c) format system by going into mounts and storage
d) wipe dalvik cache
- flash raw kernel and reboot recovery.
- Now in TWRP recovery (you can again choose to do steps a to d which is totally optional) find and flash the ROM you want
- flash gapps
- reboot
That should do it
and now just in case you don't like what you flashed you can always go back to your ROM if you took a nandroid backup as suggested in the installation steps
hope it helps
Restore instructions :
I don't know if CWM recovery takes he same path to backup as Philz recovery but if it does it pretty simple
- just reboot to recovery and do the steps a to d from the above installation steps and restore backup
But in case you are not able to find backup file in CWM then do this
- reboot to recovery
- flash Philz kernel (same one you flashed during installation )
-go to advanced and select "reboot recovery"
- now you should be in Philz recovery again
- do steps from a to d again and restore
Simple

I was in the same boat 2 years ago so i understand the situation I am glad i could help and if you are coming from nexus I am pretty sure you won't have any issues at all. Just one or two flashes and you will know everything
and who knows I might need your help one day as I am thinking of buying the N6 myself
oh and btw let me tell you that recovery and kernel are in the same partition for N7000 so you can't have "this kernel and that recovery" here as you would in other devices. Thus if you need a certain recovery then you have to flash a certain kernel and if you need a certain kernel then it will install the recovery that comes with it overwriting the previous one. Also even if you flash just recovery somehow, the device will restore the one with the kernel upon reboot
So yeah

it clearly says ''-Download Raw Kernel r5 and copy it to either your internal or external memory''
You have downloaded raw_kernel_r4_j43
Why is that?
Am i missing something?
My friend's n7000 runs on 4.1.2 as well and my goal is to install cm11 as well.
Saying that, which is the appropriate raw_kernel???
The kernel code name should match the currently installed TW rom (4.1.2) or should it match the CM11 rom you intend to flash (4.4.4)????
to answer my own question : In XxPixX's quide of course it says r5 so 4.4.4 )
Anyway the kernel that you have downloaded is neither r5 nor r1 (i beleive that r1 is for 4.1)
Thanks, i hope someone with more experiense would clarify that!!

yes you have to download raw kernel because CM 11 or Android Kitkat requires SE Linux compatible recovery and raw kernel is the one that has this compatibility.
If you skip raw kernel then installation will fail giving you "status 7 installation aborted" error.
Downloading the latest Raw kernel for KitKat should do it just read in the kernel thread and download the latest one for kk.
the kernel code name should match the ROM (4.1.2) the one you currently have. Download the philz JB kernel for your JB ROM(follow the steps given in philz kernel thread)
There is no requirement as such for 4.4.4 ROM

I haven't seen any videos about that but it is possible to do so but that's just using the recovery temporarily to flash a certain ROM but in the end that recovery is replaced by the ROMs kernel recovery its the same thing we are doing by using raw kernel here in these installation steps but its true that it gets a little confusing
I have updated my previous reply. Please refresh the page to see the explanation

F.A.Q

You might get lollipop update, but mostly, you won't be able to update
Will this work on my phone?
It works on the first three Android One phones i.e. Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn sparkle V, Spice Dream UNO Mi-498.
This is tested in Micromax Canvas A1 only, though
Is it rooted?
No. It is the full stock firmware

No. The stock firmware already has Google apps
Which recovery should I use?
It is tested in Philz recovery. But TWRP and CWM should work too
Any tweaks applied?
No. Its just stock
deodexed or odexed?
I just said it is 'stock' ROM, like 3 three times now. You still ask?
can this rom be flashed over cm11 or pac rom?

So, is it working or not?
If yes, please flash the stock 5.0.2. Install Xperia Z dual recovery, there is a script that installs dual recovery with just one click. Just connect the device on the pc, enable developer options, enable usb debug and allow to do its thing.
When running the script select option 3, 5.0.2 without root.
After you install the recovery, you can flash any rom you want from there, just make sure to do the correct wiping before and after. happy flashing
Its working now,is there tutorial for flashing recovery

Could not find any tutorial, here is the manual though : http://nut.xperia-files.com/html/xzdualrecovery-manual.html
Anyway you can follow these simple steps:
1. Flash stock 5.0.2 ftf
2. After phone boots, enable Developer Options and from there enable USB debug
3. Connect phone to PC.
4. Assuming you have Windows, Download the Recovery installation Tool here: http://nut.xperia-files.com/?ql=ef9a86aff9041bf1734fc9e3afe75f084d655774
5. Extract, hit the Installer and just follow the instructions from there.
For more info check the official thread about XZ Dual Recovery here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606
If you need help ask, but make sure you quote me so I can get a notification.
Thank you for help

I cannot see any official CM builds, if you like any Rom in the forum, please write to that thread because I'm not really sure.
If you want to experiment, you can! Because if anything goes wrong you can always use flashtool
I saw some builds on cm website,is that official?

Yes, there are official builds but those are Nightly - which means they're not ready yet for everyday use but only as test versions.
You will not have a fully functional phone because there might be many bugs in those Roms.
Here is a Rom I personally use and find very nice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/rom-official-sony-lollipop-5-1-1-t3196237

Titan twrp can't load any zip files

Good morning guys,
This is my first time trying to install any CM rom on my 2014 Moto G with original 6.0 Marshmallow system, had a little trouble unlocking the bootloader, but solved that in a little while and after that i sucessfully installed TWRP touch but could not flash any zip file from it (including a super user zip, after executing a "run.bat" file required first). After some hours of trying hard, i used the factory reset from the bootloader and after the process was done my wifi and another features stopped working, so i installed a stock kit-kat rom and got everything back to work, problem solved. Unfortunately my TWRP still can't flash the superuser file, and I really wanted to run some custom Nougat rom on my device. Bootloader still unlocked code 3, device fully working on kitkat, but need some tips on how to get over the TWRP trouble I've been dealing with.
Thank you for reading, sorry for bad english.

What error TWRP give? I think its because your new(android 6) bootloader isn't compatible with many roms. I don't know how to fix it :/ but you need to care, many users have hard bricked their devices like that.
