I think that textra isn't so to download it and freeze the original message app is a "quick temporary fix"
Just installed, smooth with good performance as expected.. stable so far no problems... loving the addition of viper4android, i think it has made a nice difference in audio quality through my headphones

UK XT1039, it first refused to install like the other stock flashable zip but a quick restart of the recovery got it to install.. and yes everything so far has been just fine

As previous poster says it seems all to work on the XT1039 Moto G 4G (2013), first time for me, though I also needed to instal the 5.1 radio firmware through fastboot separately, coming from stock 4.4.4 (unlocked bootloader and rooted of course). With the radio installed first, all set up went swimmingly. Have the 5.1 beta Xposed and LP GravityBox tweaks running too. Good job, Dev!
Viper4Android seems to work fine, and sound if you can get the right settings is lovely with the right headphones particularly, and first impressions are it seems less temperamental than I found on KK. (The Broadcom FM chip causes a problem as I believe it doesn't do stereo, but many think it antiquated tech!). The loudness seems good, and from half a days intensive use whilst setting up and reinstalling apps, the battery consumption too (lost 25%).
How hard is to add CM12.1 Theme engine to stock? Or is it just a CM thing?

Welcome to NoleKat for T211!
This rom is based on the T211 Italian KitKat firmware with stock kernel. It is Touchwiz based and somewhat debloated.
I do not have a T211 to test on, so make sure you have a backup before flashing. This is my first endeavour into a GSM rom, so you may have to fix your own connectivity issues since I don't have this device.

INSTALLATION
Ensure you have updated to the KitKat firmware.
Download full rom zip and the v1.1 update zip from the link below.
Boot into your custom recovery (recommend Philz Touch)
Perform a factory reset / full wipe (rom install does not wipe data)
Flash full rom zip; then the update.
Reboot and enjoy
Report back any bugs you find
I recommend a full wipe, but you can always try a dirty flash.
NOTE ABOUT INTERNAL SDCARDS
Our 4.1.2 version roms use the /data/media directory as the "internal sdcard".
4.2+ versions of Android use the /data/media/0 directory due to support for multiple users.
If you switch to a different Android version, you need to be aware of this difference.
I recommend wiping "internal sdcard" also before switching from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2.

Am on Malaysia based so far no issues so far, initially I had added entropy..it lagged playing Angry Birds Transformers But once I had removed it is running fine.

I haven't added any performance tweaks. I've seen so many varying opinions on the entropy tweaks that I never bother with it.

Keep up the good work. On the very 1st day I got this Tab...was a bit frustrated but later when Kernels and good ROMs was released gave the Tab3 a new life.

This rom has the original kernel. I only modified the ramdisk to allow insecure adb (helps during troubleshooting).
As for the modem, there are so many different regions that may have a slightly different modem that I can't provide one that will 100% work for everyone. This rom does not touch the modem that you currently have installed. I can provide the one from the Italian firmware, but you probably will want to keep using the one for your region.

Steps to flash the ROM:-
NOTE:- 1.These steps are applicable for the users
who are on Marshmallow custom ROMs like CM13.1,RR,AOKP,XOSP,AICP,etc.
and want to roll back to stock...and for lollipop users too(obviously).
2.Kitkat Users, Untested, Please Give Feedback.
3.Unlock bootloader is required.
A.Unlock the bootloader and flash twrp (Skip this step if already done).
B. VRY IMPORTANT STEP, DELETE '"ANDROID" FOLDER FROM INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STORAGE TO AVOID FORCE CLOSES
(AND EVEN HOT REBOOTS AT TIMES).
1.Put the necessary files in your EXTERNAL SDCARD
2.Reboot to recovery and wipe system, cache, dalvik cache and data.
3.[IMPORTANT STEP] After wiping all the partitions, go to 'Reboot" option and select 'REBOOT RECOVERY".
4.Once rebooted into recovery again, then navigate the zips and flash it.
(NOTE:-Flash in this order:-
ROM
OpenGapps
SuperSU
Then Xposed (optional, leave it if u don't use it).
Please follow this sequence ,flash supersu only after flashing rom and gapps, else you will get a lot of force closes.Also flash xposed Only after supersu.)
5.After completing flashing process, reboot to system and WAIT to boot the system (Have patience ,DON'T try to force restart unnecessarily)..
6.Once booted, open ASUS autostart manager and allow SuperSU to autostart,
then go to SuperSU and uncheck "mount namespace seperation",check "enable multiuser" and uncheck "tapjacking protection", AND REBOOT.

IMPORTANT NOTE:- ASUS sometimes ships different devices with same models, that is why there are
unresolvable bugs like No Camera after Unlocking Bootloader.

It is the stock ROM,so has to be stable and based on 5.0 .87 fw....please read the entire post correctly...

In my case the rom wasn't flashing using TWRP 3.0.2, but it might work with urs, so maybe u can try using 3.0.2 and let me know if it works or not...
Even though models are same ,ASUS ships different phones so maybe it'll flash in ur fone via twrp 3....if u can test and help me, I'll be happy..

Actually i hv tried only twice and both the times the recovery restarts.....but if since it worked for others too, I'll update the thread.

Bloat means apps which are preloaded by the company itself and which can/cannot be removed....here, like asus party link,share link,quick memo, and etc...

Flashed great for me @andybones! No fails or force closes. Only thing I have noticed so far is not able to set downloads in Dolphin to my sdcard. Was running Viper before and this was not an issue, though I seem to remember it being a problem with the original stock rom. This is what it shows...

hey @andybones, got it all running good. I cant believe they seriously removed the QS feature in system tuner. Can we possible add tiles and rearrange via default.xml, i couldnt make it work on the stock OOB rom, was wondering if it could be edited in prior to flashing?

I know, VZW must have really went out of their way, there are a lot of sku Id checks, wish I was better at smali and could take a hack at it
You can decompile and edit the tiles in system ui.apk, you'll find them in values/strings.xml
Don't think we can add any but can remove, rearrange

Yes, Gravity Box works. I have it running on my stock Verizon unit. Sense is now such a "light" layer that Gravity Box works like it does on AOSP and Sense Toolbox does not (and is not ready for Sense 8 anyway).

I have the same problems. I tried DarkLord v2 and KraitKernel v10.2. With both kernels touchwiz keeps crashing and I could not switch on wifi at all.
