[ROM][STOCK][KK 4.4.4]XT1095 flashable stock rom - X 2014 Android Development

I have created a stock rom of 4.4.4 kitkat that you can flash via custom recovery. The only modification that I have made is to remove the motrola OTA service, that way there will be no bricks from people taking an OTA and it won't bother anyone about OTA update messages.
Installation:
1) If you are coming from another rom, or a different version of android you must do a factory reset.
2) Install the zip file through TWRP/CWM/etc.
3) Enjoy.

Wow amazing! I'll try later. Waiting for marshmallow one, thanks dude

Works just with xt1095? I have a 1097, can i install it on my device?
EDIT: Flashed It on my 1097, and it boots, but i doesnt have any signal/wifi or nothing.

BuildProp for XT1096 (Verizon Moto X 2014)
Can we get this to work on CDMA (Verizon) with a modified "buildprop" like their doing with the MM 6.0 roms ?! Anyone, thanks..

I accidentally flashed it on my xt1092, i'd like to go back and am worried it might have messed my xt1092 modem/radio.
does this rom actually contain xt1095 radio/modem files?

Thank you for making the effort.

First of all thanks for upload. but i think 4.4.4 kitkat rom is useless, on Gsmarena write that battery long lasts about 8 hours, and lolipop & marshmellow about 10 hours. plus 4.4.4 design i do not like. this is my opinion
oh my god. when i installed this rom, almost nothing worked, no gsm, no wi-fi, also did not work after this install 6.0 stock rom, it was stucked to logo, then i install again this rom, write in my phone xosp rom xosp apps gapps, go to recovery, did factory reset, and then install 7.1.1 xosp rom, everything finished good for me.
plus i lost root as i heard late :/ my suggestion do not install this rom from 6.0

Question
Hi, I have a Motorola XT1225 with firmware version 21.11.9.quark_tefla.tefla.en.01
Does anyone knows from which country is it? The seller told me these are Moto Maxx from US, but I don't know really.
I want to upgrade to Lollipop and I don't know which firm to flash.
Thanks!

And you are still in 4.4.4 ?
I also have a XT1225 Chile - Movistar (Telefónica). It didn't recieve Lollipop yet. Still in 4.4.4.
If there is a way to share the firmware, just let me know. I have some basic knowledge. I hace recently unlocked the bootloader.
Maybe I will try to update to lollipop manually. I'm afraid Movistar will not publish Lollipop in the near future.
theres no way you can pull out official firmware, it gets released from motorola, you can only pull OTA's
no hay forma de que puedan extraer su firmware, lo saca motorola oficial, solo pueden extraer OTA's
Can I flash the Brazilian lollipop retail over a carrier kitkat? And to do that do i need to have unlocked bootloader?
Fixed!
problem got fixed with the Brasil 5.0.2 firmware finally
parition flashing got an error, but all other files flashed successfully and the device worked again

I have made it, but just to stay on the safe side, I first flash Brazil KitKat and then Brazil Lollipop. You need to unlock your bootloader. It is fast and simple, and let you recover if something fails.
I did it without unlocking the bootloader and it worked. I have lollipop for a week now and everything works perfect. I had already flashed the KitKat retail, but it still showed as carrier version (had the tefbr in the end for Vivo here in Brazil) and when I flashed the lollipop it still has the tefbr in the end of the version name. The strange is that version doesn't even exist yet...
for now I'm satisfied with that but I think I'll have to updated manually again when a new release comes.
does your still show the carrier code in the end?

Yes. I have the carrier code at the end. Tefla in my case (Movistar Chile). Unlocking your bootloader is just a precaution measure in case something goes wrong, or if you want to install a custom recovery.
I really do not know if we will recieve OTAs. Let's wait and see.
Still nothing for 5.0.2 Puerto Rico?

Hello im from Chile / Soy de Chile.
In my case, i'm keeping the TEFLA in the carrier field (Menu: about). I have 5.0.3 Lollipop and i experiment slow performance / En mi caso estoy manteniendo el mismo carrier (Movistar Chile) viendo en el menú About. Tengo Lollipop y estoy teniendo un rendimiento muy pobre.
Tendré que volver a Movistar Chile Kitkat y actualizar por OTA para que se arregle el tema del rendimiento??
Me puedes ayudar? Gracias, saludos.
OTA without flashing?
I'm not really experienced with the flashing thing. Months ago I had a Galaxy S4 and I flashed it to a retail firmware, and when the Lollipop OTA was available, I updated through the phone itself. Yesterday I flashed my Claro Chile Moto Maxx to Mexico KitKat and then Lollipop. Am I going to receive OTA normally? Or should I flash everytime an OTA is available?
Thank you ,the post was really useful.

Twrp 2.8.5.0.img updated recovery for all variants.

Thanks to FERGY for finding and posting the .img for us. I just added the meta-inf folder to make it flashable. To be able to update from our older version of TWRP 2.8.0.0.
I've already flashed and can confirm it works on my T-Mobile D95920s. Thus should work on all VARIANTS. Just like the last flash able twrp I made.
Need testers for all VARIANTS.
Not responsible if you brick or cause WWIII. But I am responsible for your winning lottery ticket so .........
If you do try please respond with a "working or not " so I can update OP.
You must be rooted and have custom recovery already installed to be able to flash this.

Download my flash able zip in the OP then extract it on your device somewhere. Then down load from play market an apk called "Rashr". (Here's a link. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools) then open apk and grant supersu to " Rashr". Then "Rashr" is pretty self explanatory. If you can't figure out to use it then you don't need to be using it or any system flashing apk. But use it to flash the TWRP.IMG From you internal files. (Wherever you extracted it at. All you're going to flash the .IMG file not the zip file. And you should have TWRP installed then.

I believe you can simply unlock the bootloader on the Motorola web site now.
I think i cant because since lollipop you have to check in developer option the option for enable modificate bootloader im Learning the Hard Way
I just unlocked my xt1096, this afternoon, on the Motorola site. I got it used.

If you got the unlock code from Motorola you don't need kingroot. You must be missing something. There was a setting in developer options to allow unlocking the bootloader. Try setting that on.
Thats the problem, first i try the kingroot app and then someting crash and corrupt my filesystem, so now i cant reach any settings(developer option) because i dont have any working interface. My problem is not rooting, my problem is a semi death cellphone. I need to put again marshmallow orden lollipop for having a working cellphone. Maybe gong to motocare is an option?

Moto Z3 Chinese version: How to change ZUI software to pure Android

I am still investigating if buying a Z3 (without "Play") would make sense to me.
US Verizon version does not seam to be money well spent for me because of unlockable bootloader and only single SIM support. So I am putting out my feelers on Chinese version. I have not considered this one before, because it will not come with pure Android, but with ZUK's ZUI what I do not want at all.
But some days ago, I got an information about the possibility to replace ZUI software with Verizon pure Android version. Bootloader of Chinese version is unlockable, so this would not be any problem in general. Unfortunately, the tutorial to do the software changeover is written in Chinese and Google translator's output only lets me guess what will have to be done. Before I will buy a device for more then 500$, I wanna be sure what to do to get it like I want it with minimal risk to brick it.
Therefore, I would be grateful if somebody speaking Chinese could help by explaining here in English the neccessary steps to come to pure Android on that device. Here is a link to the mentioned tutorial: https://club.lenovo.com.cn/thread-4659746-1-1.html
I am not a flashing novice - I would only need some short instruction which steps I have to do and what I have to care for. No need to explain how to unlock bootloader, how to install and ADB and so on.
Why you just don't buy a chinese android pure version? If I'm not wrong, lightinthebox is selling such version and without ZUI
This won't run on Verizon properly since the IMEI won't be in their database.

Yeah, it shouldn't work for a Verizon user, but OP never said that is going to use it on that carrier. And according the profile user is from Europe.
I'm interested in having a US Z3 Play with ZUI rom, since it's cheaper to buy the US Play version than the Z3 with ZUI from China. I really like the ZUI Android, so, does someone knows where i can find the original ZUI rom for the Z3?
Thanks a lot.

I own a Motorola P30 (ZUI-based) and the OS is horrible. Too many bugs!
I'm NOT a fan of ZUI skin. It's like Lenovo didn't bother making it a polished UI. They just want to have something else because it is being sold in China.
Bugs on accessibility setting (will reset to OFF). This is ANNOYING as you can't use a proper app that needs accessibility services. You ALWAYS have to turn it on again and again.
Bug on 3rd party apps like IG and FB. Video watching is useless as you cannot watch in HD. So all IG stories and FB videos are pixelated.
If you upload a story in IG, it will upload a video with 15FPS like you are watching something from 1 decade ago!
I'm using a Chinese version Z3 XT1929-15 in the US which is flashed into pure android(verizon), and it works fine with ATT network(vzw not tested).
It's quite easy if you have ever flash a motorola cell phone.
First you must unlock your phone here: motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b (sorry I cannot post a url)
Second download the firmware here: mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/messi/official/VZW/
Then flash the whole image with RSD Lite or fastboot commands. A wipe is needed if you manually flash the files. Then enjoy the phone with verizon firmware, you can disable the verizon apps if you don't like(you can do it with Debloater)

Glad to see another XT1929-15 owner around here! hehe
Snake, by any chance could you achieve root on the device? For some reason when I flash Magisk I finish with bootloop (then I flash Magisk uninstaller and go back to stock without issues). I guess I'm forgetting something about the procedure, but I can't figure out.. Thank you in advance!!

Yes, I just flash the latest magisk by TWRP recovery, and it works. Make sure to download it from this post

Moto Z3 Chinese bootloader unlock
How did u manage to unlock the bootloader and install the Verizon firmware.
Mine does even give the unlock code.
Both rsd lite and the fastboot commands are not working.

You just have to follow the normal procedure to unlock BL of any Motorola phone with the link provided by q.snake on previous posts.
You're also using chinese Moto Z3 like us, right?
Can you give us details or a screenshot of your issue?
Gracias
Mod edit English from G Translate: I am using the motorola xt1929-15 messi in Mexico. It is Chinese and I bought it in ligthinginthebox, but it came with Android 8.1 and for a year I am using it and zero updates and the worst thing is that it does not update to Android 9 in an ota way. I am not an expert like you on cell phones, but is there anything that can be done to update it? Thank you
Sorry for getting back so late... Got another phone in the meantime, but I am still very interested in Z3 XT1929-15. Didn't know that lightinthebox sold this one with pure Android, but no matter, it is sold out there. Any idea where I can still get it from? I am from Germany / Europe - so no matter whether it works with Verizon or not. Would not even mind buying a pre-owned one if it's in a really good condition.

I have got one at Aliexpress. It is a chineese XT1929-15, but comes with already unlocked BL and reflashed to stock Verizon, that is very convenient. I doubt that it will work with Verizon, but it works with european carriers without any problem, both sims. Little overpriced though.

Yes, XT1929-15 can be updated to 9.0. You can flash the latest stock Verizon rom via flashall. But the radio must remain chineese (do not flash radio part, you need to exclude appropriate lines, fastboot flash modem and fastboot flash fsg, from flashall.bat)

Page not found ?
@Maheshwara
You need to be registered there to open direct link.
Or just open the root, aliexpress.com, and search for "Moto Z3", it's there.
