Hey guys, I know we have some great options but I wanted to throw out my personal setup in hopes that it'd be useful to someone else as well. I present my first ROM, Rydah's ROM. It's nothing special, but at the same time, it is! I'll Fancy Up The O.P. later.

Most details are there. Nothing really removed at all. All changes are there. I've seen other roms claim to remove OTA updates but that wasn't 100% accurate. I will update the rom soon though to remove a couple unnecessary things such as T-Mobile's spyware.
Any chance you can share the mod for front camera recording?

I totally misread your request. Lol for some reason I thought you requested a stock camera zip. Anyways, I have another thread here in the development section with a rooted stock system image. That'll do what you want.

The quick panel works it's just wifi was broken. Its being fixed and tested and the link should be up soon.

Download usb storage contents to computer... rest is stored on google.
I'd Love to have a copy of your stock (its highly desired on forum as well ). If you want help with that or the rooting PM me preferred instant message contact and ill happily help you.

I have no idea if I have a recovery installed or not lol. Like I said I am new to this and don't know a lot of these technical jargons. I did dial checkin on my phone but after displaying "checkin succeeded", I don't really get any updates - not even the 2.3.6 which was released last month. This is the reason why I would like to try out the ROM in this thread.

The swipe is not there. ics can not be the apk install on Roma Android 2.3.6 or lower. if you mean the theme I'm working for the dialer

I can not find it on market. Used SlideIt previously on my Desire, but Swype works a bit better (is my opinion).

I cannot even start the camera....................
After re-rooting and flashing the CF kernel I can start the camera but get FC when viewing the last pic.

I think this error is caused by a missing app - replacing the camera.apk did not solve the problem.
Does anybody know, which app is used for viewing?

Cant flash until tomorrow night when im near my tab. Id like to request a Volume mod ahead of time tho. This tablet is so quite that me and my girl watch movies and shows on my s4 bcuz we cant even hear it on the the tablet. Definitely a big deal. Makes the tablet useless without a really loud volume boost.

I deleted some apk's from the zip to make it lighter, than just installed with CWM.
I had some difficulties with my recovery (CWM) though and had to reflash stock recovery with Odin.
Had to factory reset through stock recovery, than works flawlessly.
The rom zip is perfect imho, just need to clarify my recovery situation...
Maybe our CWM is not perfect, or I should try TWRP.
....so far so good!

I think in the light version You could leave AllShare* sCloud* with unnesessary Samsung stuff and dropbox apk's out. Maybe leave in just the very basic gapps like play services and store, becaue gmail, yt and so constantly upgrading.

For now I fixed it by installing UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip within CWM
Tomorrow I leave a post with the list of the apk's that I already removed from the zip or frozen with TB

Flashing over 20q works fine
I used the update function with LGUP. I did have to reflash TWRP and reroot but I knew this going in and had no problems. All previous data and setting were fine.

Are you sure? I am seeing the same baseband version and build number as before. Only the android security patch level and software version changed on my phone.

I see that the stock rooted does not include the radio update, does the stock debloated include it then or is it also missing the radio as well?
Also, what exactly do you remove in your debloated roms? I don't ever recall seeing it in your other stock thread, i may have just missed it though.

No problem, so am I haha. just wondering if you had a list or not to see if you removed anything else that I hadn't I used the kdz and rooted/debloated myself last night so I'm going to stick with it and see how it is today.
What about Full clean flash over 20p? Im on Xtreme rom!

You won't get new radio. I didn't add it to the rom as I didn't know there was one.

Flashed the radio but still showing old baseband version under system info. Can anyone confirm if they have successfully flashed the new radio/modem? And which method they used? Thank you!

The launcher was pulled from that rom but the launcher in that rom has stock animation speeds, this on the other hand is cut by half(the speed). Anyway this prolly works better on other roms.

Great. This is what i wanted to here.
Enjoy the speed.
If you check my threads, this mod has always come in 2 different speeds, 'fast' (this) and the 'insane fast' (gonna do this one shortly).
They say the insane fast causes seizures(lol).
Just tried on note 8 snapdragon but after reboot was stuck on android is starting. I put apk in /system/priv-app/touchwiz-2017. Renamed original to .bak. changed permissions to 644 and owner to root:root.

Yup its deodexed, I'm running same rom but working fine for me....also permissions should be set to 0644
