Sony WALKMAN - Ascend Mate 7 Themes and Apps

Hello guys, this isn't nothing new probably but I just found it. Many of you used Xperia phones before and all of you(just like me) loved Xperia launcher with it's goodies(especially Walkman with all the audio enhancements and tweaks). Here's good news: you can have it on Mate7! Stock music player is quite good but lack of equalizer and sound enhancements is unforgivable. There's ported app which actually works on Mate7(i am running it on newest lollipop b317):

Just follow the instruction and you'll be alright. Bootloader unlocked and root required

If you have root, Viper4AndroidFX is the best possible audio mod for the Mate. It works well with Poweamp. I was using the Sony music app in my THL but went back to Poweramp as the Sony random function wasn't so random. It was like using the same playlist all the time.
Viper sounds great in the Mate

[Q] Stock equalizer

I'm interested in how the stock equalizer is structured. I know it's not bound to Walkman, but there is no way to access it as a stand-alone app. At least that's what it looks like. So how does it work and what role does MusicFX play?
Sent from my Xperia Z

For this device, what music corrector ? Acid...

I don't know
Tapnięte z mojego S Advance ☺
I have it like this with Samsung stock earbuds:
First i have PowerAmp (paid) as my music player but the Apollo from CM (free on Playstore) also does the job, i like the Folder browser in Poweramp thats why i use it the most.
Viper4Android is my Equalizer its in my opinion a lot better than most audio packs i have used (acid, xloud, beats, etc)
"Carnage 2.0" profile This is the profile i use, that thread has loads of them but since i use the stock samsung earbuds this is the one i most like, of course i have played with some settings to make the profile more to my personal choice.
In both profiles and the Viper app theres an option called Impulse Response Sample, i think they "emulate" the output of several things like dac's headset and earphones...theres also others that are "improved versions" of i.e. a pair or beats but those are recomended ONLY if you have them...(if im wrong please correct me) you can download my IRS pack from here
I also have the Viper4Windows on my pc and its simply awesome.
And acid what work ?
I know, my english is
Tapnięte z mojego S Advance ☺
I also wanted to use acid on my phone, but didnt work properly. Don't remember wich version it was cause it was some time ago. If any1 knows the the right version of AC!D for our phone that'd be awesome.

[Q] eXtremeBeats™ v2.0 and 4XHD

Hi,
I stumbled across this cool thing in XDA.
It called eXtremeBeats™ v2.0, it's kind of a system wide audio mod that combined all of the cool music effects like HTC Beats Audio, PureAudio,
AwesomeBeats, Sony Clearaudio+, Clearphase and xLoud , Pon-3 Audio, Harmon Kardon Libs, Dolby Libs, eXtraBassLibs.
It kind of audiophile dream
Since it’s a mod that mess with system lib and u have to flash it, it have some compatibility issues and some users reported boot loops on some different phones and roms.
So….
I would like 2 know if anyone here tried it with our 4xhd ??
Thanks

Spotify works too but looses connection to the Sound Enhancement while jumping on track
here is some interesting thing that I have to try for my Sennheiser CX300
Headphone correction filters
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372750
it`s really another experience in sound on 4xHD but players needs to support most of this mods
make a backup of your ROM and install a mod, if not working flash it back ...no need to wait for someones test
p.s. sorry if you wanted an extremeBeats only thread

[Q] Best Sound mods on stock rom?

Hello ! As you all know Sound quality has been terrible on our Z1 since Lollipop came out and Sony has done nothing to fix it so now i have gotten enough and i wanna do something about it myself. I have been reading lots about sound mods and have been comparing them with others but i cant seem to find good one to fit my purposes so i decided to ask here. Im not looking for stereo mod or anything speaker related or like that, i just wanna get the true power what it is capable to produce to my headset like on KK and to be able to adjust the equalization and bass etc like we used to before Walkm... i mean Music app sound enchantments stopped working.. i have XPhonePlus Module from XPosed to enable old audio modes but its currently broken or something since doesnt work...
So basicly im looking for audio mod that:
- Brings back the volume that we had in KK. (In LP its much lower volume.)
- Makes equalization working again. (After LP, had never worked, not in Music beta or the not beta one)
- Makes surround work again (--||--)
- As good bass without losing quality as possible
- Being able to keep the sound enchantments in other apps too not just music app
- Works on stock rom
- As stable as possible, im not really good updater.
- Needs to be able to change settings on the fly. (on LP sometimes equalizer settings take effect on reboot)
I know all my requirements arent necessary possible but just something that way !
I have Bluetooth headset and wired one and i use both so it needs to work on both. i listen mostly electronic so extra bass related mod is never a minus. Im not looking to change music app since i like it so that is not an option.
Im taking suggestions and im gonna pick the best one based on popularity and comments so please share your favourite mod here an i will check it out !
Also im a noobie so i might need instructions i have root ofc and nuts recovery and xposed. im on .270 5.0.2 LP
@migidid
I'm gonna try to answer :3
1. Edit your mixer_paths.xml, need root, there is also many guide in XDA
2. Equalizer works correctly, I don't know why you have such problem xD
3. Surround works too, but only when using headset/headphone.
4. This need headset/headphone with nice sound range too, you can +bass from stock Equalizer, I'm used Poweramp and Poweramp equalizer + Sony equalizer
5. Sony Sound Effect have a global effect for your speaker and also from another sound media too, but I don't know about surround effects (didn't try this so much) xD
EDIT: It's works on Poweramp, just tested it :3
EDIT2: It's not working on Poweramp, it's "blank" sound, sorry xD
EDIT3: Got a fix, must disable Direct Volume Control and enable MusicFX and you will get Surround Sound effect xD
6. I'm on Sony stock L ROM build .270, rooted
7. Nothing bads, if you know what are you doing xD
8. Sony Equalizer no need reboot to take effect, it's immediate :3
I don't like use Viper or another Sound Mod like that, it's useless (for me), since Sony already have in build Sound Effect. I'm only used nice headphone (not high res), modified mixer_paths.xml and Poweramp. :3

Best Audio Mod

Hi guys, i wanna improve music on my Xperia SP (OS: CM12.1 ) Can you recommend any mod for it? For now i use Xperia Music with xperia stufff (clear audio etc.) but i think it can be better, and would be great if will be compatibile with it. I most listen dance music (Club, remixes etc.) If there will help i got headphones SONY MDR-NC31E. I would like reviews people who use X mod. I try Dolby digital plus and it's not for me also, viper4android can be but i think about mix mod with boom sound beats, something like that
If someone serach EQ settings, maybe this one like it:
from left to right: -5, -3, 0, +1, 0
Clear bass +7
VPT Studio
Don't take it max volume
I can recommend xtrememusic
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3029951
I flashed xtrememusic4.1, desire and desire-fix. (It also installs dark-material-v4a). I can not get dolby atmos working (if you can let me no how)
My old-time-favorite is megabassbeats4.3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/mod-megabassbeats-v3-t1945535
Use dspmanager AND V4A (compatible mode).
It still works fine on lollipop (freeze/delete audiofx before). You'll need to flash also the fix from this mod (works on several roms) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=61762074.
(And ofcourse: switch nuplayer in developper settings and set selinux to permissive)
Thanks for reply, did You use it with Xperia Music?
