[APP] [ROOT] Viper4android Audio engine for Moto G3. - Moto G 2015 Themes and Apps

All you have to do is just follow this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/themes-apps/viper4android-lollipop-root-t2997005
Make sure you've downloaded the latest version (2.3.4.0 - That's the one I'm tested)
Make sure that your device is rooted, amd delete the AudioFX and any other Equalizers you previously installed.
Don't make any change in developer options for me its working flawlessly with/without changing NU player settings. But if you have any problem then tick "Use Awesome player instead of NUplayer" in developer options.
Credits to the original developers.
Note:
#Neither me nor the Original devs will responsible for any broken devices.
#Use it on your own.

Are you asking whether this is best when comparing with AudioFX?
Yes. It has more options than AudioFX and you must uninstall AudioFX to make this work on any rom. I'm currently using Euphoria, works great on this too.

Installed successfully and everything went fine, but for some issue the effects stop in the middle of playing a track and the only way to get back the effects is by a device reboot. Is anyone else facing the same issue?
@Moderators: posting this just to get an idea if its just me or others have it too..

Very rarely occurs to me. I just untick and tick the "Enable V4A FX" and works fine. Still don't know the reason,I have the same issue in my previous Sony mobile also. If turning off and on of V4A also doesn't works, then make sure ur SElinux mode is permissive. Problem still persists, then go for reboot.

Found fix..... as per the main thread which explains about installing V4A using a flashable zip (lolliviper) the zip shows that it is removing the default audio effects apk from our phone. But practically it is not and it leaves the default audio effects apk behind, which force triggers itself and stops v4a when it is enabled.
I just had to disable the default audio effects application manually from Settings > Apps> All> Audio effects > Disable.
V4A works like a charm now....

Hello new guy here. Got my moto g3 on 21st and unlocked bootloader, flashed recover and rooted the same day
Anyways, the issue which you are telling was the main reason i switched from moto g1 to g3. I've found that the culprit of this issue is low RAM due to which viper app gets killed after a brief moment of time say 10-20 mins.
Check your ram usage and also try viper-> setting -> show notification. This will make a persistent notification of viper at your status bar all the time which prevents it from getting killed. This worked on my moto g1 untill I use a heavy music player like n7, poweramp, proplayer, etc. So i had to stick with shuttle and musixmatch. Hope this helps.

Does this app work on streaming music apps like wynk or gaana? thanks would be of great value if this supports streaming apps

So far I've tried Saavan and gaana. It works in gaana but not in Saavan. Basically, you can say it works with every music app which supports system equilizer. Just don't forget to set the mode to compatible in Viper.

This mod remove the ascend ringtone ? I can't fix the ascend ringtone for notification that cause no notification sound.

So does it work in Marshmallow stock from? Do I have to follow the procedure for Lollipop rom?

Yes you can. I'm on stock android m and there is no quality drop so far. And yes, same procedure. Don't forget to change selinuxmode to "permissive" and viper4android mode to "compactible"

[APP][ROOT][MOST ROMs] Dolby Mobile Activator

This is a simple app that gains root access and activates Dolby Mobile using snd3254 (HTC Mini DSP)
It can change between Headset and Speaker modes.
It will work on MOST ROMs.
Tested on:
MIUI
CM7
If it works, post your rom below! If it doesn't, upload a logcat, I can help you!
Also, tell me if the icon works. It should, but it doesn't on my phone
THIS IS FOR THE HTC DESIRE HD ONLY!
I'm working on an update.zip that will bring Dolby Mobile to other phones as well, but with exams coming up, you'll have to just stay tuned!

Notice: Due to the large amounts of versions which are not by me, including those spread to pirate websites and those in ROMs on other devices where they will not work, I now require that you ask permission to use this anyway. If you fail to do so, action may be taken

Works great, no problems so far.
2 minor points.
1. It asks for SU/Root for each mode switch e.g. Headset to Speaker & Vice Versa.
2. When you turn it off there is no way to turn it back on, without exiting & opening the app again.
1 Suggestion.
Possibility of adding a 1x1, 2x1 widget? Tap to go Headset/Speaker?
Other than that, if you put this in the Android Market for about £0.99/$0.99 I'd buy it.
Cheers.
EDIT: ROM is MIUI 1.11.4 EN/DE v.1: Freshly Squeezed Edition™ / Icon works fine.

Confirmed working RC-Runny 3.3.

What about SRS ? It's the best to listen to music with while using earphones and Dolby is for Speaker this was i use while using Sense ROMs and misses this with MIUI right now
Update : Working Great and sound is so good
No icon in notification bar
App Icon quality is not good may be any designer can create high res. one for you
the rest is same as andyharney post and if you can tell us about SRS effect
ROM is MIUI 1.11.04
Seems to be working on my Galaxy S2 running Dlev Rom Siyah 2.1
Nice
It works on the Droid Bionic rooted with v2.3 of Theory rom. Sound sounds essentially the same when turned on and off, maybe a slight increase in quality but then again I am no audiophile.
so far ok in galaxy s2
Installed without any problem in galaxy s2 running latest miui rom.
The change isnt much noticeable both in loud speaker and in headphone.
I am using DSP manager that comes with CM and the latest power amp.
Is this supposed to change the sound system wide? Both modes work great for me with the stock android music app, but in the YouTube app with the headset speaker mode turned on sound is very loud and distorted for a few seconds then cuts out. Works fine in headset mode though. Running latest CM7 nightly.

great development! congrats!
on custom Densities (210) the app layout is screwed though (all elements shifted to the left side of the screen - try replacing static offsets with dynamic ones ?).
cheers

Could you please add SRS option aswell for the DHD
Runsk on ARHD 6.1.5. Have yet to experience the actual improvements though. Speaker quality isn't that great. Will test with headset when i have it with me.
Hmm... I've tested it in my Nexus S running on Cyanogen KANG...
But what I get is no difference... I'm listening to my song via Google Music 4.0.1.501 and I have Voodoo sound enabled but not DSP sound manager.
And I typed snd3254, file not found.
Thanks

I think I found the necessary parameters to do that. PM me where to send the test version. I probably wont be able to send it over right away, i am still out of my house
Edit: NVM, I can't seem to do that under SDK, probably requires the framework handling or overriding with NDK. I can disable keyboard pop up within the apps I create, but once the app is not in focus, keyboard respond the same as if nothing happened.
Even if I make it a service, there is no available features for me to disable keyboard globally.
I can, however, use a Broadcast event onreceive to see if the phone is "charging"(or docked, whichever is handled by Atrix on CM7) and prompt the user if they want to switch keyboard to something like this. So, this is one way if the dock is detected, ask if the user want to switch keyboard? But I can't get the permissions to pass the onReceive properly... I am too noob
Another possibility, but this is going to be hard unless CM7 team jumps in, add the docking listener to the default keyboard itself, therefore, if the keyboard itself sees the phone is "docked", dont bother showing up for text edit text fields
I wonder if the Sound Switch can't be handled by the event of pluggin in the cable insted of an app or a widget.
plug in the cable -> start script *sound over hdmi*
plug out the cable -> start scrout *sound over speaker*

NFC is about it I think.
Same as CM10.
Okay, I am in. Going to install CWM and see what this sucker can do! Thanks!
K, I setup CWM and installed the ROM. Nice thus far but have an issue ATM.
1) I can't install paranoid preferences.apk. Tried multiple times from Root Explorer and it fails at the end with "app not installed".
FYI, I had a problem saving a custom wifi network, but I rebooted to CWM and fixed perms. Upon reboot, it looks like that worked.
Thanks again.
EDIT:
Found some instructions that worked for me on the .apk. Taken from here
"You need to move the PA Prefs app to /system/app then set its permissions to rw-r--r--
PA removed the ability to install this app since the sigs are gone in their new update. I also cannot include it in the normal ROM zip as it has to be added post-compilation (as it is closed source). So for now, until something changes via PA, this is how it will have to be!"
Some additional notes;
1) For some reason ( and I saw reference to this somewhere else in the T forums), with this ROM the headphone jack detection is borked. Plugging in headphones does not result in a switch to them, rather the speaker keeps playing.
2) Having an issue getting some apps to download their additional content. My example is swiftkey, which requires a language file download upon install. It always fails saying there is no wifi network connected.
3) Not sure if this is standard behavior or not... I don't believe it was on default ROM - when Bluetooth headset is connected, ringtone volume on speaker does not adjust up or down, always stays the same. Adjusting the volume on the BT headset changes volume only on the headset. Connectivity seems to work fine tho.

Does this stuff possess the videoplayback stuck issue after first few seconds as present in build 7?
And does Google now voice works?
Anyway,Gud luck...
tested
panorama doesn't work
activating phone speaker lags the phone, activating the phone speaker for the second time makes the phone reboot

Didn't test that, as soon as I found out there was no navigation bar I flashed another rom, sorry.

This ROM is based on Rashed97 Build 7, so the bugs are the same, i thing
No, the status bar is 4.1.2
Only camera, clock and settings have 4.2.1
Now that I remember, when I started the camera app, a notification about the geo tag appeared and the camera started flickering, the flickering stopped when I managed to hit the ok button on the notification message, I don't know if that's normal.

Eagerly waiting for it.
Ive had my p500 for almost a year now and still have the original rom running on it, but this looks promissing, ill flash this in a couple days (generally im playing/dev'n for my gallaxy tab 2 7 inch, lotta fun) :victory:
google play store seems not working for me ?
Guess I missed this one. Followed a friend here. Just installed, and set up. Installing gapps to cache is a new one for me. Don't wipe cache unless you want to reinstall gapps? This is a lot easier than trimming the rom though. Was surprised to see build and kernel by arjen. Haven't been following him lately. I'll have to look. Only problem with play store I've had, is that gmail won't update, and is not listed as installed in " my apps ". It says that it's not properly signed, and to uninstall current version before updating. So far, playback of previously recorded video and streaming from gallery is flawless. Newly recorded video stops after a few seconds, however (camcorder issue). I assume that this would be a listed bug on arjen's thread. Anyway, was curious about system space when I first saw this, so of course, I had to flash. Good job man. I learned something new today.
Edit: Oh yeah, rashed used arjen's build server. Guess I forgot.

Xposed Framework on S4 Active

I just tested Nottach Xposed on the (rooted) active (Thanks Geohot!!!) for science, and I was able to remove the NFC and Smart Stay icons without any issues, so I would assume the majority of the other functions work as well. You will recieve a warning message stating the device is not compatible, but just ignore it.
To install the mod, please visit the following threads in order:
Framework (rovo89) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Mod (Nottach) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074
TL;DR (joshuadjohnson22):
1. Install the APK from here
a. Download XposedInstaller.apk and install it
b. Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update"
c. Reboot
2. Install the APK from here
3. Enable the module in Xposed

Ignore it or modify the build prop so it doesn't show at all.

Have you tested to see if the crt screen off animation works? That would be the only reason why I'd install this. Also, do mods persist after deleting the app?

Nope, I was more interested in getting rid of the baby vomit green status bar icons

You have to go back into Xposed and enable it in the Modules section. I should have added that to the steps but I found out the hard way. OP please update this

I have chose a lot of settings and everyone of them works. Most have to do with hiding things in the status bar and notification center. Install xposed update reboot, install nottach reboot, enable nottach in the modules of exposed. Chose settings in notch and reboot. Worked like a charm
Now probably a few things do not work but everything I have tried has worked

Under sound try volume up to change track?
Also I wasn't able to hide my clock, but it's real important to me to change track with volume

Hiding the clock works but I couldn't change songs with the volume rocker. But I'm not sure if I was doing it right, I used the default music app and it just adjusted the volume

Were you doing it with the screen off? I think the mod is for that. They figure if you have the screen on, you can just do it in the app.

Nope didn't try that. Not a feature I need so I disabled
So far mods that work with the Xposed/nottach install:
Custum carrier on lockscreen and status bar.
Tap clock for apo (clock)
Change battery icon
Hide "select input method" for kb
Hide emegency call button on lockscreen
Most color/font/size changes (all that I have tried)
Really great mod for customizations.

I could not get the change battery icon setting to work. I tried Circle_1, Circle_2, and Minimal, but none of them did anything after reboot. Is there something else I should be doing? Nottach is the only mod that I have installed.

I didn't do anything special with my Nottach install and it is also the only mod i have installed. I can't really experiment at the moment, as I'm dealing with other issues. I'll post a response as soon as I get a battery.

Ditto here... but I was at least able to remove the green battery icon... and I just have the built in battery percentage indicator.

I've done the same, but I was hoping to be able to change the battery indicator to one of the Circle mods. Hopefully somebody can figure it out now that Nottach has open-sourced his mod.
