[ROM][5.1.1][10.7.A.0.228][C5503][LB]Nordic Combined+Pre-rooted+Recovery - Sony Xperia ZR

Using PRFCreator, I've just created a flashable zip for the latest stock ROM 5.1.1 (C5503) 10.7.A.0.222 & 10.7.A.0.222 Nordic Combined.
The flashable zip will install the followings:
1. C5503 Generic NCB firmware
2. Pre-rooted using SuperSU 2.49 Beta
3. XZDualRecovery 2.8.23
I've tested it on my ZR originally running 5.02 rooted stock LB ROM. I used TWRP 2.8.7.0 to flash it and I just wiped Dalvik and cache so data partition is untouched.
If you're also using Xposed, boot your phone for the first time, then reboot your phone into TWRP again to flash the official Xposed framework (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811, sdk22). For unknown reason, I need to uninstall and re-install the Xposed Installer to run it successfully.

Hey please can you tell me how to fix the system mount issue? Or if you could post a flashable zip of the fixed revovery or something.....

Or does only cmw have the System mount issue, and twrp doesn't?

Even twrp has it

If you upgrade from 5.02 using this flashable zip, then you don't need to wipe data so your save games can be retained.

Hi already have. Look at his site under dual recovery and beta.

I have stock 5.1.1 (10.7.A.0.222) installed, and the phone is in its original condition after a factory reset, with no root, no unlocked bootloader, etc. What should I do if I want to have root? So far I could only find complicated instructions involving downgrading to older android, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it possible to flash this with flashtool?
I am unable to install it through TWRP, it finishes installing very quickly without any error, but apparently does nothing.

What's your version of TWRP? I'm using the latest version of XZDualRecovery and TWRP should be 2.8.7.0.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606

TWRP is from XZDualRecovery 2.8.21.
Its version is 2.8.6.0.
Will try to find a newer TWRP for Xperia ZR.
Actually, the recovery was installed with the whole system image, and I am unable to update it to 2.8.7.0 yet.

I finally managed to update to 5.1.1 with this package by updating the kernel image with TWRP.
Still TWRP version 2.8.6.0 was sufficient.

I try Your zip and not working for my ZR. In CWM i got error with UUIDs ("uuid link to system partition does not exist"). Then I create zip by myself with PRFCreator and all is working fine.

I have no idea why the zip file doesn't work for you guys. But I'm glad you work it out yourself.

I'm on stock 4.4.4, UB, with xzdualrecovery 2.7.... Is it safe to flash this 5.1.1 rom? Or do I need to update the recovery first? Or should I upgrade first to 5.0, then this? Thanks for the help!

Since you've probably lost your custom recovery upgrading to 5.0.1, you can grab the TWRP images for Nexus 5 here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/hammerhead
I believe you need to use 2.8.1.0 since 2.8.2.0 either doesn't work or is causing problems for many users.

How did you update from a rooted (with CF-Auto Root) 5.0 to 5.0.1 you just received the OTA and installed it without any problems ?
I like to know because i am on 5.0 stock just rooted with CF_Auto root.
So no more need for CF-Auto?
Just flashing SuperSU zip with TWRP is enough?
I flashed a Custom Rom Using TWRP which doesn't have any root permission...

Guys, i installed the 5.0.1 update by fastboot flashing system, boot and radio. I lost my custom recovery tho (CWR). I now tried to install TWRP, but after flashing the recovery image, the recovery still hasnt changed. Could i just flash CRW or should i use TWRP for this version?

This. I flash with it here since 4.4.4 and it did everything just fine. Not only it is an app to automatically root, but it gives very good hints, and provides lots of others features like installing Apks, getting a adb prompt, and so much more. Greatest third party Android app I have tried. Highly recommended, didn't even had to wait they update it for 5.0.1, as soon I got the 5.0.1 OTA notification, Nexus Root Toolkit was already ready for it.

This is lollipop security, custom recover wouldn't stick, after each reboot it will replaced with stock one, of course there is a way to make it sticky just search the forum.

and then flash TWRP to Fotakernel first and then flash boot.img

Had the same problem.
TWRP Recovery wasn`t available after I flashed yuga.
Used "TWRP Manager" (only with root) which worked for me even when the app said that the installation failed. After rebooting I was able to enter TWRP again.
SO I installed This and I now have TWRP 2.8.
0! My rom won't boot any more, but who cares I can now install CM!..............I hope
have you tries the hack that oliver has on his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57718351&postcount=2
flash Olivers TWRP to FotaKernal and then from cm recovery flash the hack, reboot and enter recovery and check
I have not personally check but give it a try if you like.

There are alot of prerooted roms avaible in android development section
Well , yes, very nearly helpful. Most of them have recoveries included ( all in ones) and some can't be flashed over older firmwares. So which one would be best?

1. Create a pre-rooted flashable zip using PRFC (using the 5.1.1 FW, latest superSU zip, and the flashable dual recovery zip).
2. Stick that into your internal storage.
3. Flash the 5.1.1 pre-rooted zip through dual recovery.
4. Power off your phone.
5. Use flashtool and flash the non-rooted 5.1.1 FW (while making sure "system" is clicked under the exclude option).
6. Once it's finished flashing, you'll have a pre-rooted 5.1.1.

With every flash, allinones or self made recovery will always be overwritten. On z3c we dont have a "static" recovery

Yeah, it keeps dual recovery because you're creating a pre-rooted FW with dual recovery and superSU into it when you create it using PRFCreator, so essentially you're just overwriting the same dual recovery onto your device that already has the same dual recovery.
Short answer, yes. It'll keep dual recovery intact.

Xperia SP - TWRP Recovery problem

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but anyway, to the point. I rooted a Xperia SP with towelroot, checked with rootchecker and it was okay, after that I installed CWM and then flashed a ROM and probably CWM changed to TWRP with the ROM. Then I ran some debloater script the ROM maker had done and forgot to flash gapps (lol), or more like debloater script made the phone to reboot, so I let my phone to reboot and try to go back to TWRP and it just doesn't work... Touches won't get recognized. Also I just noticed that the root is gone. Looking for some help here now. Not so used to this stuff.
Things I've tried:
root again with towelroot, didn't work
flash gapps, didn't work
try to install recovery.img again with adb, didn't work(I just may aswell not know how to use adb anyway)
Ask if more information is needed. Thanks! Hope someone could help me.

1.You should have posted this in Q&A section
2.Never use towel root on lollipop because all ROMs are rooted by default.
To enable root Settings->Developer options->Root access->Apps and ADB
3.Dont try debloater script just yet. Use it when you are settled with ROM working.
4.Now what you need to do is
a.Boot into recovery and flash the latest TWRP zip.
b.Reboot into TWRP and wipe everything(data, cache, system but not external)
c.Flash ROM zip and gapps.
Hope this works:good:

How to flash any MM from Blu Vivo XL stock 5.1

My Blu Vivo XL has original stock 5.1, rooted. Since bought it has two OTA I believe, 2nd one is MM. However since rooted I cannot apply OTA, even used SP-flash to flash back to full stock recovery and unrooted stock ROM. I also got a 100MB update.zip from cache(should be 1st OTA from Blu) but neither TWRP nor stock ROM can flash that zip file.
Now there are a lot of 3rd party ROMs come out, all they need to be MM based ROM to flash. How can I flash my Blu Vivo XL to any MM? Is there MM image I can flash through SP-flash?
Thanks!

Not sure why you cannot flash back to 5.1. If you already have Marshmallow, then follow the thread at:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/viv...allow-t3512157
The scatter file and recovery file (which is "Philz") at the download site then can be flashed with SP Flash Tool.
Many many thanks to lacobIonut-DW. Did I say many thanks?? Thank you lacobIonut-DW for this.

My error - I'm not sure why you cannot get MM update over wireless, not you did not have a stock 5.1 ROM. I've gone back-and-forth with 5.1 and 6.0: using Mediatek SP Flash Tool v5.1620.00 and this BLU Vivo XL ROM (Android 5.1) and TWRP 3.0 Recovery:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/vivo-xl/development/roms-t3312297/page2
and Wireless update from 5.1 to 6.0, then flashing (SP Flash Tool v5.1620.00) "Philz" recovery and then rooting MM (as noted earlier) by installing SuperSu.zip. Apparently TWRP can also be flashed to MM using ADB/Fastboot.
I now use only 5.1 because at least 2 of my apps do not fully function with 6.0.
Another option I found useful was Play Store and "DisableService" which gave me the oprtion to disable/enable wireless update in 5.1. I have it disabled.
There are also options to zip MM components (check this forum as well as Google for that, as well as Hovatek, Yahoo and Needrom for possibilities), but that is beyond my knowledge. xda-developers has so much to explore on refining BLU Vivo XL.:good:

Thanks. I finally got OTA worked and now I have stock MM and Philz Touch V2 on my Blu VIvo XL.
A few questions :
1, The recovery named Philz Touch, but it's not touch version. Did I flash incorrect one?
2, This flash doesn't have ROM backup/restore function?
3, Most important, I used this recovery to flash supersu zip file, tried 2.65, 2.79 and 2.79SR3, all of them reported: Installation aborted.
I've used same 2.79 and 2.79SR3 zips file flashed on many other phones without problem, so the zip files should be OK. What's wrong? which supersu zip you used ?

Too bad I used that MM tWRP flashed this ROM.

Now it's in boot loop, even I press Vol+ & PWR tried to enter recovery, it doesn't work -- I cannot enter recovery now.
I still can flash through SP Flashtool but is there Blu Vivo XL SP flash-able stock image?
