Led Notification - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Themes and Apps

Hello friends!
after a week with my S6 + I am very happy!
but I have a question:
the notification LED does not work correctly with apps: Light Manager, Light Flow - LED Control etc.
I have the S6+ Root, but these apps work at times yes and no
someone happens?
greetings from Spain! Thanks....

Nothing?

Have you enabled These APPs in notification setting?

I've also tested, and does not work very well. I set to blink fast and does not normally

with my S6 edge+ works perfectly

keep trying, thank you very much friends!

I've used Lightflow for years, but it doesn't work well with Gmail. It has a "workaround" option for Samsung devices running 5.1.1, but that seems to cause more problems than actually helping.

[Q] Using Camera LED as flashlight (torch)?

Hi, erm, does anyone know if any flashlight/torch-apps work with Tab? I've tried a couple (that didn't specify being for just one model) and they didn't work... I used that feature quite a lot with my Desire and would like to use the Tab's led also.
Or isn't that (yet) possible?
Just like you, I couldn't find a working flashlight app for the Galaxy Tab. Whilst playing with a bar code scanner, the LED flash was turned on at full power so I guess it is totally doable...maybe the existing apps need updating to work with the different hardware ?
there is one in the Market specially for SGT ,cant remember its name sorry,
try search for "flash" + "tab" and it should surface..
Hi guys,
I'm the developer of Tiny Flashlight + LED. I'd like to add support for Galaxy Tab, but I don't have the device to test on. Can anyone with galaxy tab help me?
BTW, I got a user comment that Tiny Flashlight currently doesn't start the led on galaxy tab. Can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks! It worked. It was a widget, which fit my bill quite nicely. I'd be a happy camper with an app too, which brings me to this:

Thanks for your help!
You will have to install the latest development release. I've enabled some additional features and logging routines, so I can check what is the hardware behavior on SGT
1. Open your SGT browser
2. Load this URL: http://bebbled.com/f.apk
3. After the file downloads, tap on it to install it
4. Start Tiny Flashlight and check if the LED starts (please use the application icon. Don't add the widget yet)
Installed, tried. Not working. Does it send the log automatically, or do you need me to send it? (in which case, where is the log?)

I see in the market an app called "Galaxy Tab LED Flashlight" for $1.99.
I have not tried it yet,
Thank you for trying the development version. Now I have enough information on how to start the LED. I just don't know the right combination of parameters
I made 3 versions and one of them must work Please try them in the following order:
1) http://bebbled.com/f3.apk
2) http://bebbled.com/f4.apk
3) http://bebbled.com/f5.apk
Quick reply: f4 worked!

OK great! The toggle button works? It does turn on and turn off the light?
Also, can you check if the widget works?
Here's the final version. It has all debugging and logging disabled. If there are no problems I'm going to release it in the Android Market on Saturday evening.

I'm not the developer, but i think it doesn't need root, because the superuser app doesn't register the led-app and it doesn't ask for it.

[Q] Any alternate to LED notification??

I tried NoLED from the app market but I can't get it to work on the Fascinate. Does anyone have any ideas or know of any apps to get either recurring visual or audio notifications?

bln are built into all of our kernels these days
I've used NoLed since I purchased my phone in Sept with no problem. In fact, the wife and I both use it. Uninstall and reinstall and see if that works. Also, you should add the NoLed widget to your home screen and then tap it, colored dots should appear inside the box. At that point it's activated. If you reboot your phone I believe it does it for you.

NoLED was a great option prior to the popularity of "BackLight Notification" or BLN.
If you have a compatible kernel, I think it's a better way to go. It doesn't differentiate between different "kinds" of messages like NoLED does, but it's cleaner, and doesn't use the LED screen at all, potentially saving battery and protecting your screen from potential burnin/out.

I never could get that app to work right on the Fasc. It used to be the bees knees, till people started realizing that the lights never turn off until the message has been cleared. In other words, the 10 sec, 15, 30 second versions all stay on till the notification is cleared, despite supposedly having a timer. Newer versions of the BLN app have come and gone, yet I have heard nothing positive about them in the Fasc forum.

BLN does not have a timer unless it is set on blink mode, and there are no working kernels with BLN 2.3, which is required for blinking for the Fascinate. The "timer" you are likely referring to is probably for the timeout for the buttons when the screen is on. Since DJ05/DL09, the buttons stay lit as long as the screen is on.
To control the blinking rate, use "blinky" from market
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Blinky 2.3 (download zip from thread, flash in Clockwork) works on the Fascinate. Blinky 2.4 (Market version, no flashing) works to turn BLN on/off, but doesn't actualy blink stuff.
Try sms popup, works like the handcent pop up, but works for the stock messaging app which is what i use
so fresh and so superclean.

Really? Do you recall the release of BLN? Now it appears the developer has added internal settings. However, the releases in October-November could be downloaded via XDA and came in .zip format with an option in increments of 5-10 seconds up to 30 seconds. Despite the option, the light never turned off until the notification was cleared, even with a supportive kernel, resulting in rapid battery drain in my case. This was a turn off for me and I have not reviewed the product since. Now it appears that the lights blink instead of constantly glowing. I will have to check out the newer version.
didn't know of these apps til i read this thread. thanx everyone.

to make it work with more apps, the apps need to have call the correct api. In other words, you have to integrate the api into the apps itself.
For notifications, I use Light Flow and it works perfectly.

You simply turn it on in the accessibility menu and then chose which notification for which you want to configure the led. After that you can change the color of the lights, frequency of the blinking and when to dismiss the lights.
Its pretty simple actually. Try and let me know.

After pressing test you need to lock the screen to see the led test. Try that. :good:

I've been told it works if you select device Xperia U
Hello all !
I recently bought an Xperia SP, and one thing is embarrassing me. It's that the notification bar is active when the battery gets low. I think this a totally absurd option but anyway I tried the two app mentioned in this thread but no results ! I rooted my device and give the right to Light Flow but nothing (The test is not working either) !
So ... if you have any solution !
PS: Sorry if my English is bad, I'm French =P (Don't beat me xD !)
I managed to get it working by selecting Xperia U as suggested, but that doesn't seem to be able to disable the default functions such as low battery notification, it just lets you manage other apps.

[Requires Root][Open Source] Charging LED Mode Changer

After reading the thread in the devs section regarding the charging LED I became curious and I made a quick app to change between modes.
It's not great, but it gets the job done.
I couldn't reply to the original thread so I'm posting here.
Source is attached too in case anybody wants to run with it.
Thanks to @garyd9 for doing all the research. Read about it here.

I didnt realize it, but the kernel I'm running (leankernel) supports LED charging via a script. It was setting it back to off on boot. Removed this app (which does work) and used the option built into leankernel.
Thanks for the app.
One enhancement could be to choose a mode for each LED, another would be to run at startup and apply the settings.
These are what i use ina script
#Charging LED blinking while charging, solid when full:
echo battery-charging-blink-full-solid > /sys/class/leds/charging/trigger
#Red LED as HDD(storage) activity indicator
echo mmc0 > /sys/class/leds/red/trigger

Led Light manager used to work on previous galaxies but I guess with pie it doesn't allow you to do that anymore oddly. I've tried a few times and gave up its a little frustrating
I've been using Light Manager without trouble on my N9. I had to set it up again after the update to Pie but I use it every minute of the day and haven't had problems.
The dev is a bit hard to get in touch with - there's a thread here on XDA but he hasn't replied that I'm aware of to any questions in several months.
Here's the link supplied in the app. I'm using the paid version but there's a free version as well, AFAIK.
