Enabling Hotspot/Tethering on an AT&T S6 Galaxy with an unlimited data plan - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

So I don't post much so bear with me.
I was looking for a solution to enable the hotspot on my rooted AT&T Galaxy S6. I ran across the following post that requires flash fire and a file that appears to modify the framework-res.apk.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/development/mod-tether-hack-oe2-build-t3115789
I am new to changing my android OS so I wanted a solution that instead modified the Tethering App itself.
I found the following post for enabling wifi tethering/hotspot on AT&T lollipop devices by changing the tetheringprovision.apk file.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/how-to-enable-wifi-hotspot-rooted-t3131646
I then found information on enabling tethering for an S6 on the T-mobile network that included additional steps. Like deleteing the arm64 folder (I just renamed mine) and refreshing the APN (I suspect this is done because they also change the customer.xml file that builds the default APN).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6/development/mod-enable-native-tether-t3078551
So I performed the following actions and was able to enable wifi hostspot on my AT&T Galaxy S6 with an unlimited data plan
Download the tetheringprovision.apk file on a rooted S6
Use a file explorer program like ES File Explorer rename the original tetheringprovision.apk to tetheringprovision.apk1
to copy the file from the download folder to the folder /system/app/TetheringProvision (in ES File Explorer you may need to enable root explorer to allow the copy)
Modify the permissions of the file (Used ES File Explorer under properties of the file)
Renamed the arm64 folder to arm64.old
Rebuilt the APN (Probably did not need to do this step)
Restarted the phone
If this works for you let me know.
PS: Does anyone know how to avoid detection?

Need Stock Sprint WPA file

I need the stock sprint WPA_supplicant.conf file from the system/bin folder. I need it from someone who has the sprint tab updated to EB28. My friend used a old hacked WPA file and can't get the wifi to work now and has no copy of the file.

[DEV-NEEDED][SOLUTION] (temporary) fix for wifi problem on ICS on some carriers

First of all, I'm not a dev, and this isn't my work. I have permission to share it.
As you may know, after the ICS update, wifi won't work on some carriers when SIM card is inserted. And just extracting the SIM won't fix it, you should extract, make a factory reset and boot the phone without the SIM then it will work, and re-inserting the SIM card will break it again.
This is just a temporary solution, we need a dev to be kind enoguh make it permanent.
"Omidkorat" from and-roid.ir found this, ALL CREDITS TO HIM.
1. Root your phone (if not already rooted)
2. Install Root explorer. (ES file explorer with root permission will NOT work)
3. Install SQLite editor.
(both are paid apps, so I can't share them here).
4. Turn off the wifi first, then go to this address from root explorer:/data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
5. Copy ALL the files and paste them in a folder on your sdcard.
6. Open settings.db (it should open with SQlite editor itself, on es file explorer it won't, so that's why you can't use it.)
Select secure. Select and hold on "wifi_country_code" then select "Edit record" or select it>press menu>Edit record.
Change it (whatever it is, it's "ir" for Iran, must be different for other countries) to US.
Press save, it should say saved successfully.
7. Now copy the edited settings.db to it's original place using root explorer, and paste it. The file may disappear the first time, just do it again. All files in that folder may disappear, and that's why you should copy all the files in that folder in the fifth step.
8. Now turn on the wifi. It should work.
This is just a temporary solution, after reboot, you will loose the wifi and you have to repeat step 7 again. And it creates other problems, like language from settings will fc, all options but "turn off" from the power menu will disappear, and maybe more.
Again, ALL credits to omidkorat from and-roid.ir

I know I posted in dev section, if it doesn't belong here, I kindly ask mods to please move it.
Also, we have already contacted mathkid95 and he was kind enough to start working on a fix.
Yes its kernel related. I had the issue too but it was fixed on the 2.6 ICS kernel.( The franco 9-12 and 12-12 ICS kernel. ). Now kernel 3.0 has the problem again

Wi-Fi Hotspot isn't working

Hi, i have a htc one m8 sprint. I use original rom, but i can't find hotspot anywhere. Please, help me. How do i fix this problem?
1. is your Bootloader unlocked
2. are you rooted
Requirements
Rooted Android device
Vanilla Android/AOSP-based firmware or custom ROM
Android 6.0 or higher
Step 1Install a Root-Enabled File Browser or build.prop Editor
To get this one going, you'll just need either a root-enabled file browser or a dedicated build.prop editor app to add a single line to your build.prop file. If you don't already have one of these already, here are a pair of free options:
Install root Explorer (below) or FX File Explorer for free from the Google Play Store
Install Build.prop Editor for free from the Google Play Store
I'll be demonstrating using a root file browser, but the basic premise should be just about the same regardless of which method you use.
Edit Your build.prop File
The build.prop file is located in the system folder on the root partition of your device, so navigate to this directory with your root file browser to begin. From here, make sure the folder is mounted as "read/write," then long-press the build.prop file and choose "Open with," then "Text editor."
Next, scroll down to the bottom of your build.prop file and press the enter button on your keyboard to add a new line. From here, regardless of if you're using a file browser or a dedicated build.prop editor, the process will be the same. Simply add the following line, then make sure to save your changes before exiting:
net.tethering.noprovisioning=true
Step 3 Reboot & Enjoy Free Tethering
Once you've added the line to your build.prop file, all that's left to do is to reboot your phone. When that's taken care of, head to the "More..." entry in Android's main Settings menu, then select "Tethering & portable hotspot." From here, simply turn on the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" option and connect your secondary device to begin tethering, and all the while, your carrier will be none the wiser.
Thanks. I'll try it.

in settings go to backup and do a full reset it will return your phone back to stock if that is what you are referring to
or open dialer and type ##786# this will also completely reset the phone as if you just bought it

(FIXED CAN BE CLOSED) Need stock file manager

so I deleted a lot of things I didn't need, one of those being the stock file manager with the blue icon named "files" and now I can't enable apps to write to the SD card because apparently it needs that app to grant SD card usage and I can't find it anywhere, does anyone can share it please?
thanks in advance
EDIT:
managed to get it by merging the sparsechunks to create a .img file and then extracting it, if you ever need it here is the guide:

Question How i can edit build.prop and other files in system folder?

Hello.
Successfully rooted note 10s, but if i try to edit build.prop file in system or vendor folder, i take a zero length file...
How it can be edited?
1. use a decent file manager (i reccomend Material Files)
2. you need to remove some useless stuff, or else it won't save
Try X-plore. Just set to show hidden files.
i use root browser
