3g network is not working after some minutes - Teclast X98 Air 3G

I've been using Teclast x98 air 3g c5j6 from last June.
Right after I got the product, I checked all the thing, from touch, wi-fi to 3g network.
Everything was perfect, and I brought it out abroad.. I am dispatched to Indonesia..
Then, I utilized local sim-card to activate 3g network and for 10~30min, it works very well.
However, after that time is passed, my x98 cannot identify my sim-card.
It can be back to the normal when I do re-boot. However same thing happens after for a while.
Both of android and windows has the same problem. Seems hardware issue..
Actually, android is even worse since there is 0.5sec of refresh per every 5 ~10 sec, after the 3g is gone.
During refresh, there is something shown at the top of display "Dongle".
Is there anyone who can help me to solve the problem? anyone has had same issue with me..?

No, just no internet connection available and sim card cannot be recognized anymore......

me 2 im facing this problem afew moments after startup my 3g gone! and should i reinsert the sim again

Radio problem with the kaiser

Hi guys, my friend bought himself this devise about week ago and everything was fine till he accidenty emptied the battery, since then there is a radio problem in his device.
The problem is that he cant get a network and he has no signal notification.
I'll be more specific: the device is finding a network but can't register on the network. I tried about evrything i knew (find networks manualy, change from 3g to gsm, tried some diffrerent sim cards and even HR) but nothing helps.
If anyone have another idea i'd like to hear.

Have you tried to re-flash to the HTC ROM and seeing if that might help? How about running the Network Connection Wizard?
Problem with 3g after emptying battery
My phone worked flawlessly until I emptied my battery. Now my 3g connection connects briefly and the just disconnects, it's unusable. I've switched to 2g and it works good, but something happened to my phone after it died because of an empty battery. Could someone please figure out a way to make 3g work again

[Q] S III mini network issue

Hi guys,
I own an i8190, baseband : I8190XXALJL and I encounter frequent network outage.
Although the signal strenght indicator shows 3-4 bars, I cannot be called, cannot call and data is not being fetched.
On battery usage app, the network is most of the time "green".
On any other phone around me (blackberries, iphones, SGS II and III), and on the same network the problem does not reproduce.
If I turn the phone to airplane mode, and then back on, I am able to call, send mails so on and so forth.
Does any of you have the same problem ?
If any of you updated to I8190XXALL2, is this problem still persisting ?
Should I send it to the service ?
I'm currently running the ALL2 baseband, but previously had both the ALJL and the ALK6 ones and didn't encounter any such issue...
Before sending it back you could try with a different SIM card, maybe yours is acting up (it sometimes happens, especially with old SIMs).
Seeing how nobody complained of a similar issue though, I don't think that changing your baseband will have an impact, but if you'd like to give it a try you can download original firmwares (that contain the baseband) from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/. In order to install them, just follow the steps in the root thread.
Will do so. I'm going to pit-stop my SIM card @ Vodafone and let you know about it.
It's strange that this happens only deep inside buildings (eg. offices, malls, etc..).
When this happens, usually the data activity indicator disappears OR the S3 mini is using 3G frequencies (not H, not G, but 3G)
Just changed my sim card and the issue still persists...
It's driving me nuts. My feeling is that the S3 mini doesn't lock on a network cell when 2 are available with similar coverage.
Will upgrade to the latest build and let you know about it :banghead:

So far there's no difference. Where I live the network coverage is pretty bad, but it doesn't "disconnect in the background".
Only at the office I can test it out for sure or inside massive buildings.
ci6i, go ahead and update; install kies (for drivers only ), get odin3 1.87 and flash it with XALL2 from samfirmware.
Lately I see there is XALL3 available for some asian countries.
I still think that my BlackBerry 9810 is a tank. unfortunately vodafone romania doesn't sync emails two ways via BIS so... :crying: I had to get back to samsungs...
Well, i understand to lose signal if network coverage is bad, but my phone gets "network stuck" in the middle of town. I noticed this few times: at job, the phone stands on the table near me, and i receive sms about missed calls (i have voice calls diverted to voice mail when unreachable). If i try to call or browse the net at this moment, it's impossible until i set airplane mode on then off. All this time, the phone shows full network signal and HSPA data connection.
I'll try to change the firmware after hollidays.
As mentioned above, try to change firmwares (to XXALL2), I've also noticed some network drops when I'm at home (however this is expected in my case), but when I installed this firmware, I noticed some signal gain (full on 2G and +1-2bars on 3G signal).

Just happened again today in a crowded place.
It goes to "3G" from "H" and then it's gone off the network.
Will try with XALL3 although there is a small improvement concerning "sticking to the network carrier". It seems it'a hard job to get a call when in coverage area...
If still no success, I'll loose my patience with this Sammy...

You get SMS because they use a dedicated network bandwidth for this technology and apparently the S3 mini does not loose connection on this communixation channel.
It appears that S3 mini is dropping voice and data, but not sms and CB (cell broadcast).

Hi, i also have the problem with vodafone Romania. I can't place calls or use data connection. After reboot everything is ok. I tried to switch to Airplane mode and back, but no results.

The airplane mode trick doesn't work for me, and I have to reboot the phone to get it working again.
I've updated to the latest official firmware, but the problem is still there. Have you found a solution for this or anybody has more ideas of things to try?

Hi Miguel,
The only workaround for this issue (at least for me) is to keep it in GSM mode (no "AUTO mode", no "WCDMA only").
So the crappy phone won't have to switch frequencies and I can get phone calls (I start considering a luck when the phone rings...)
I'm on 4.1.2 now baseband I8190DXALL3 (latest on samfirmware) and still the same.
You just don't want to know how's everything downloading limted to GPRS

I want to select on which network frequencies is the phone allowed to work.
I want to disable 3G mode and leave GPRS, EDGE, and HS(D)PA only.
The reason is that when the issue appears, S3 mini switches from "H to 3G" and "G to 3G" and then it's gone;
Although there are moments when it can fetch data with network on 3G coverage without problems...
The code is *#*#info#*#* but it doesn't work .
I don't think it's a good ideea to disable those settings. Maybe it's a temporarily problem and i know Vodafone is testing/launching 4G coverage.
For me, this network issue is happening once in a week. How often do you lose phone signal ?

I found out the service code but the RF setup is not "sufforted".
Vodafone has implemeted already 4G in selected areas but it's not about that. On blackberry, iphone and nokia this is not happening.
As a frequency... 3-5 times a day while I'm at the office.

I'm using it with Orange Spain. I will try using the phone this weekend with another operator to find out if the problem is operator related.

Windows Phone 8.1 Bug on Lumia 930

Since i got my new Lumia 930 which is shipped with WindowsPhone 8.1
already installed there's a mysterious thing happening everytime i leave
a wifi covered zone and my phone switches to mobile data connection it
shows a mobile data connection via LTE is established (arrow blinking right next to signal-strenght indicator)
but the data-connection does not work.
I have to turn on the flightmode and turn it of again so that the phone does a mobile-data reconnect..
Am I alone with this problem/bug or do you have this problem to? maybe on other devices?

I have the same issue, I work abroad for the moment... When I cross the border my phone goes into roaming. When I come back, it switches from roaming to my national provider but doesn't activate the data connection.
Had this issue with my Ativ S on WP8.1 DP as well as my 930 with WP8.1 stock.
I'm guessing it is indeed a software issue.
Turning flight mode on and off resolves this issue for the 930 but the Ativ S requires rebooting =/

This didn't happen to my Lumia 930 (Thailand).
No problem here (Brazil)
In the US, I only have an issue on the 928 where it gets stuck on 1XRTT, or 3G (Ev-DO) after completely losing signal. It takes over 15 minutes to switch over to an LTE signal or sometimes requires a reboot. On some other devices (the One w/Windows and the ATIV Odyssey) you can go into settings switch from global to GSM and change highest setting to LTE, essentially locking it in place or getting no signal (because Verizon is a hybrid CDMA+LTE carrier). Play around a little with the cellular settings and see if it makes a difference.
tl;dr Nokia's cellular stuff is definitely more sensitive than others, but its not bulletproof, it can be temperamental at times.

SM-N950F 4G problem after last dec update

Hi guys, I have an issue with 4G after the last dec update. In 4G/3G/2G auto connect mode, usually the receiving data arrow ( v arrow below the 4G symbol in notification bar) gone missing and thus the connection got lost. Only transmitting arrow is visible (the ^ one). I have to wait for some minutes or turn to flight mode and back to get my data connection back.
In the beginning I don't really sure this issue is caused by the latest update, but after I tried nearly everything, including factory reset which is doesn't help, I think that the update is the problem.
I have tried my sim on another phone and it worked normally. I have tried another sim on my note 8 and it got the same problem.
Oh and this is only a 4G issue. My 3G works normally. And before the update, I never experienced this kind of problem.
Two of my friends got the same note 8 and one of them is also using the same carrier as me, but neither of them experiencing this issue.
Anyone can help?

Problem solved, they replace my device
I have the same problem but seems like in a different way, when I got the phone first time I contacted my service provider to activate the 4G service cause it was inactive on my line due to provider's issues, anyway the phone worked on 4G for only 2 days, after that it kept working on 3G, I contacted the service provider many times but they have no issues with my SIM or handset.
I still don't know what is the problem, is it a hardware malfunction? Is it an installed app? Is it a Samsung Update? I don't know!
have tried getting a replacement sim card, I had same problem in the past and they had by mistake sent a sim that was not 4g, got replacement and problem solved
Well, the problem is that it worked at the fist time on 4G so the SIM was 4G not 3G, but I have just comeback from their store, at the first the technical support did something in their system and switched the phone to airplane mode then turn the network ON back and the deice worked on 4G but after a couple of minutes the phone switched to 3G without going back to 4G, then he advised me that this problem either a SIM or handset problem and it's always 90% SIM problem, so we changed the SIM card and the phone is working on 4G for around 30 minutes till now, I hope it will keep working on 4G
2 days and phone is still working on 4G, it was a SIM card problem

I updated my phone yesterday with firmware provided in asus website.
Now I'm facing this wierd issue, My network gets restarting like every hour. I can't play pubg as well as stream as i am getting this network issue.
BTW my both networks are in roaming and in 4g with volte enabled
For precise the problem is like "disabling and enabling both sim cards at the same time".
If anyone have solution write that down.

Also my ping in pubg increased from 60 in android 9 to 170 in android 10
Edit: i tried network reset also but nothing works. I'm from india and I'm using Jio and Airtel. I found that DSDS (Dual Sim Dual standby) is enabled (in engineering mode *#*#4636#*#*) and i cant turn that off.
I'm getting this popup "changing this needs restarting the phone", when I gave ok, Nothing happens. When I restart my mobile manually DSDS is still enabled.
I'm thinking about going back to pie, but I am too lazy to back up everything
Downgraded to android 9. Everything is smooth. 40 ping in pubg never goes over 80. No random Network restart.no bugs.

I have the issue where mine switches from Band 3 to Band 1, and the network speed basically halves causing stutter and lag and sometimes games drop out with no internet as it makes the switch.. The network priority is supposed to keep on the fastest band (as it does on A9) but it switches to the slower band in A10 for some reason... Currently Anders_Asus (asus tech support) is looking at it. I've sent several logs showing the issue..
To diagnose the issue - download speedtest app, then put the phone in airplane mode. Deactivate airplane mode and run speedtest repeatedly - you should see the high speeds for around 2-3 minutes - but after this time, you will notice the ROG2 switches band to the slower band, and your speed drops dramatically.
If you can replicate this issue, I am very interested to forward this Anders @ Asus as well to provide further backup to the issue.

Not thinking of updating to A10 again, No stable network, not able to turn off DSDS. Also, I don't like full-screen gestures on A10 as some third party apps don't natively support it. Waiting for android 11 maybe..
