i like said in a different post. it sound kinda iffy doesnt it? Samung Pay Coming from Google? from what i check every other carrier got there's from OTA an update from samsung to carriers.

Weird thing is there is a new OTA out for our phone. I deferred it but just received it. Said simply security patches but could be prep for samsung pay

My old HTC M7 gets lots of HTC system software from the play store. I wish Samsung would do the same, and other manufacturers. Might be the start of them doing it with Pay.

anyone have google wallet working on the at&t moto x?
Hope this happens

I don't figure it will happen because its probably like the htc one and doesn't have the security element. this is my opinion not fact. So it may change but I don't look for it too

There's a mod for xposed that install Google wallet, I'm in Canada so it won't work for me either way, I should also say it won't work for you unless you can get root access, xposed framework needs root access, catch 22

Isn't the NFC secure element a hardware component? Is there no way to check for its presence (or lack thereof)?
If we SIM unlock can we install wallet?

I thought a few updates agoThey made it that the secure element is not needed
Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk 4
Secure element is cloud based now I believe since early this year. If the sprint x has it all we need is root to change the build prop values in 3 lines so wallet sees us as the sprint one then you install and setup and reboot and change back. I will attempt that change and do a write up as soon as root is released.

With /system being encrypted I have put out the question to jcase whether a build prop edit is possible. When I hear back I will contact you guys. Hopefully the shared library isn't something we have to have to access the secure element. Potentially going to need some extra work. I'll dig in the system dumps tomorrow morning. The system encryption may not let it write the library on install as well. I will work hard to resolve this and if needed reach out to those that I think can help.

Can you try adding xposed and then the link 2 posts above. The typical way is a hacked apk but xposed plug in alleviates that. Once you try that report back.

Nexus 5 coming to Sprint [Confirmed!!]

Of the many details leaked about the next nexus, is a rumor that it's coming to Sprint. http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/nexus-5-leaked-in-new-image-revealing-side-panel-439334
What do you guys think? Assuming it's true, would you still stick with your HTC One?

I don't think I would take it on Sprint's network. I am getting it though, I plan on getting it unlocked and most likely on t mobiles network. I love my ONE. and have no issues with sprint , but I want to try the 'google ' experience again. Loved the galaxy nexus. Until it broke..

I'll be getting one as well. If its on Sprint, even better...especially since it will be tri-band and compatible with Spark.
It already passed through the FCC supporting all of Sprint's cdma and lte bands among others, this was back in August before the info got pulled. So even though it hasn't been officially announced for sprint I don't see why it wouldn't come to sprint when it supports all of sprints frequencies.

Sent from my One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
only thing im hesitant about is the weak IR blaster compared to the ONE and the lack of an awesome TV app!
if it has tri-band Sprint LTE, I'm dumping my One.
I'm almost certainly going to stick with my One, as the spec bump isn't big enough to justify switching, and I'm really enjoying this phone. However, what really excites me is that there is at least a chance now that going forward, nexus devices will be on sprint. I can wait and see how this one plays out, then at the end of next year when the nexus 5 squared or 6 or whatever it is is announced, I will have a cheaper, easier way to upgrade early. Also, should something catastrophic happen to my one, I would have the option to just get a nexus as well.
In the past all nexus devices for Sprint were released a year later then it's gsm counterpart. If this happens again then its a definite no from me.
Its already passed thru FCC with triband(Spark) so i getting it....
Eh it's a nice phone but I would get bored with it. There would be no reason to flash a Rom.

Wifi calling is a t-mobile exclusive as far as I know. You may have some luck with one of these http://www.rebtel.com/en/International-Calling-Guide/Mobile-Apps/Top-5-apps-for-WiFi-Calling-in-2013/

Sprint lied! Wi-Fi calling app is exclusive to T-Mobile and is integrated in the framework on the T-Mobile phone. Therefore can't just be installed on another phone.
Now there are other options like Google voice or another 3rd party app. You can download then off the playstore. They'll allow you to make phone calls over Wi-Fi, but give you a new number as well.

Hey i learned something new today. Sprint did start offering Wi-Fi calling in Feb it was exclusive to T-Mobile for a long time; however he still lied to you because the only phones that are showing capable are the mega, s4 mini, note 3, s4

That's actually pretty impressive (surprised about the s5), but if it's like T-Mobile version it is very integrated into the framework

It's probably either a scam that MAY work for some devices with similar exploits or actually works similarly to the way OEM's would flash a device. Not sure about everyone else, but I'm definitely leaning more towards the first option seeing as no one has root yet...
Definitely bs!!! If root had been achieved for our device you would read about it on every forum and every tech website example being android authority and def xda!!

I think it does not work that way. We must have the box or dongle to run the software, you may have a payment system for unlocking attempts.
Is a slot machine to unlock.
I do not like dongles.
Who knows it may work? But the device itself costs $115-$135. So who's going to be the guinea pig?

Last time I checked, I was a computer networker and run anti-virus, anti-malware,anti-spyware, and anti-adware. I know quite a bit about computers man but it may be worth a try with the dongle. Seems a little risky though, it says "Root by flash" whereas that could mean what I believe was done on an older version of the S4's firmware, where a temporary recovery was flashed in order to root. For the S5 and newer S4 firmware on AT&T and VZN, this would be impossible with the lockdown.
The software will only work with the dongle. It's not flashable to the phone itself.

How to tell if the BOOTLOADER is Unlocked?

I know there's a lot of speculation after the S7 and S7 Edge where locked on T-Mobile that they know 7 will also be locked on T-Mobile. I've made numerous calls to T-Mobile and to Samsung. In the end 8ts anybody's guess right now. I have had every Note since Note 2 and have ALL been Rooted. When my phone gets delivered in the next hour or two I was wondering if there's any way I can check myself to see if the bootloader is unlocked?
