there isnt Ivan aosp?

yes there is one... But it doesn't have any customisatons option.. And my mobile gets easily even in moderate use..

How about Miui V7. Did you try?

I want stock like nexus.. miui lags

There were a lot of stable cm and aosp+ builds of KitKat. Download 1 of them and flash a modern kernel for lp or one of them that has KitKat support and it should work just fine. I flashed carbon rom then flashed xcelerate build 65 kernel without any issues booting or functioning. I never used it long enough to confirm random reboot was gone but as that was related to kernel issue the odds are it wasn't going to ever happen

Me too. I don't really like MIUI. Why don't you try Lollipop ROM like Blisspop. It's quite stable, no bugs, no SOD, customizable, you can use as daily ROM. I used Extended Partition, TWRP and TK Gapps.
It is better than MIUI, I think.

lollipop don't have good battery backup

this is not entirely true ... the difference is about 10 or up to 20% in favor of miui (stable) ... the latest china developer MIUI rom also suffers from poor battery life... sacrifice 1h (sot) use of the phone is quite profitable ... in my eyes.

Sot may not see a huge difference but with standby time KitKat blew lp out of the water unless you didn't flash gapps in lp. That's my opinion and experience anyway. Gapps in lollipop is always a huge battery drain I've never been able to fully control even by turning everything off in app ops and etc.

u can use xposed(gravity box) in Ivan's aosp for customizations

There are any issues with your configuration ?

Only real problem I seen was a slower charge and the back camera didn't work and the front camera quality was crap. If it had a working camera I would honestly still be using carbon KitKat or even pa aosp+ KitKat which didn't have the slow charging issue but didn't look as nice though either.
Sorry my quotes no longer work Tapatalk has to keep screwing up a good thing and turning it into crap
Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk

out of all the custom roms i tried, Ivan's aosp kitkat was the most stable and I had no problems with it except the capacitive button light issue which wasn't a major concern for me, for customizations xposed was my way to go. I highly recommend you to try it if stability is your concern ✌
hope this helped you

I wouldn't recommend it because the only good KitKat rom for this phone was Ivan's. Pa wasn't bad but you won't have a camera anymore. I never tested it on Ivan's but I did test it on carbon and WiFi worked fine on it if I remember correctly. The slow charging (which is fixable flashing a boot.img from a rom with faster charging) and not having a working camera kept me from keeping it. I still wouldn't recommending going to KitKat unless you can persuade a Dev to make a fully functional KitKat rom. I seen a couple devs say they would but never followed through and with all the real devs working on marshmallow your not going to see any help there.

On PA with Xcelerate, Wi-Fi didn't work and also there was frequent android.media force closes. Not with other kernels though. Camera of course doesn't work.
I didn't stayed long on the ROM. But I did got a random reboot type once (in PA the phone simply dies and u have to hard reboot). Camera doesn't work of course.
Ivan's ROM is laggy af. The scrolling is laggy everywhere and etc. I don't like the custom kernels as the phone heats (little bit less with Xcelerate). And not quite sure whether the upcoming Xcelerate build will be compatible with MIUI.
Only MIUI is the usable Kitsap ROM quite actually. Would have been cool if Xiaomi upgraded the Android version, which is not gonna happen at all IMO

Bought new s3 and not sure if I have to flash it

Hey guys
I am on xxugna8 and I am not sure if my phone can get any better. I came from i9000 on cm10.2 and now I am super happy with my new stock s3. How is your experience with the latest cm11 or cm10.2? Is it worth to flash? What would you recommend?
Thanks very much for your opinions.

I'm also happy with my stock Rom but my phone is rooted I waiting for 4.4 stock Rom. In my opinion samsung Rom is quite good. Only 4.4 I will load in my phone

Well, cm 10 has a stable on the s3. But you are probably right. Don't change a winning team, I guess…

Well it sounds like you're curious about cm. Why not give it a go?
I was the same, happy with my stock until I was slightly unhappy with it (about 6 months on....) then I started tweaking and now I'm on CM.
In my experience with my s3 which i've had just over a year and half, playing around with different roms . I prefer stock rom for its stability. CM or other modded custom roms may be faster, provide few extra features here and there, but there always seems to be tiny bugs here and there. Mostly problems with the camera. And for my own usage i think Stock Sammy rom is more than enough, and if you need extra features use xposed modules and most of the things you need will be there

Jerry, if that's the case, maybe look at stable or official releases...
They get updated possibly the same amount as stock roms if not more, and are stable.
That being said though, most people who don't stock want the latest version even if it's beta at times, which why some ROMs like CM have nightly, weekly, stable and official releases.
Hope that helps.

Need a trully stable rom. Any idea?

Hi. Im trying many roms on our n7000 but ewery time i find any bugs and FC. Thats why I wana ask u guys about trully stable rom. Now im using miui veganence. Before that i have dirty unicorns and carbon rom or sweet rom. Even cm 11. All of this is slow for me and have small free ram like 160 - 80 mb.
I hope u can help me try some faster roms. Maybe something older?
PS sorry for my eng

You can try CM 10.1.3 or CM 9 if you want a Custom Rom.
For a Stock Rom I can suggest AryaROM v8 with some nice new Raw v1 Custom cernel from GeeckoDev

what do you think about CarbonRom? i just flashed it but got some errors, but i want to figure it out cause i think this ROM is pretty light and smooth.. (from the review i read)
It's a hit and miss actually IMO. I found CarbonROM to be pretty stable for me. You just have to try i guess, because finding a "truly, perfectly stable" ROM is impossible. Every ROM has its ups and downs, so does with the bugs and stability. Choose which ROM suits you best, and try them for some time. If it crashes/you suddenly hate it etc. then find another ROM or maybe another version of the former ROM. Trust me, It's a bit of pain in the arse at first but it's worth it in the end.
ICS is old and it's not smooth like newer versions like jb and kitkat.
CM10.1 is smooth but drains battery fast.
CM11 is the best but it's buggy (fc, random reboots...etc)
so my advice is to stick to jb 4.1.2 (stock or custom) until we get a stable lollipop (hope this will happen soon)

What makes you believe there will ever be a stable lollipop for the Note?
So much time has passed since the release of KK and AFAIK there is still no stable KK ROM for this device.

because bauner's CM12 even it is still in alpha stage, there is no overheating, graphic glitch, force-close (well, there is few but due to some apps that didn't get updated to fully support android L) and random reboots, and because Lollipop is a "true" update from Google since 2011, so don't expect that Google was playing all these years and only changed the UI and added some fonts there is about 5000 change/update in the SDK so android lollipop for sure will support even low end phones with 512MB of ram and new apps will have a ton of features.
I know that the Exynos motherboard for the SII and N7000 is a real Crap from Samsung but at least those issues related to it, if not fixed they will at least be reduced like the overheat issue still persist but not as bad as in KK.
Or maybe it's Google+Samsung fault which made it impossible to have stable kk for our device

About Lolipop ROMs...

Hello,
I´ve been thinking about that: Which one is better: Ressurection or NightOwn? And why?
I did a try and both seems like same! (same bugs, same layout - material design, etc...)
Maybe LL Roms could make custom roms a little bit hard to do core/visual changes, or it is just a my mistake?
You should try it first , then you can compare which is better ! Btw i prefer using nightowl for battery life [emoji106]

I have the same confusion! What bugs did you face?
They have similar issues. In latest versions there are proximity sensor issues during call, also users complain about 1080p recording not working, overheating, battery drain, etc. All bugs and solutions are in the original threads. You guys should try both of them and compare. It all depends of what you expect. Both are beta versions so bugs are expected. I have used both and I like Bauner's version a bit more, for no specific reason. I had to return to more stable rom, because I'm currently using N7000 as main phone and I need it to be stable as much is possible.
i tried both and smilar. but nightowl better battery life and smoothness. but you must try and see which one.

I sugest you go and get lanchon's kernel with the trimfix and the FP bug fix, it's the only truly stable kernel avaliable for the n7000.
Aldo, it supots trim, that helps a lot with the phone's responsiveness

Best ROM for Xiaomi MI3

Which is for you the best ROM at this moment? I have just flashed SlimLP with Layers and seems cool! D2TW working!!
Official miui, it has no bugs at all. but i have tried different roms here, maybe the best non official is unofficial omnirom.
i wonder if the dt2w is really working, and its not eating your battery.

My Daily Driver: AICP v10 20150809 nightly + No SIM bug fix + FM fix.
Except for the unresolved HDR bug everything works fine on this build, no issues at all.
Absolutely smooth and stable. Battery life is very good as well

I completely agree.
SlimBit is lean, stable and fast, my daily driver. So far everything works fine (expect the snapdragon camera in HDR mode, but which does???)
After using a couple of others:
MIUI6 - gorgeous design, stable, but slow, resource hungry and full of features - which I hardly need.
Ivan's AOSP 5.1.1 - fast, lean, functional. no updates and regular call drops.
MinimalOS (Bitti's) - fast, lean, functional. no updates and random reboots.
Latest official cm 12.1 is fast, stable and has amazing battery. Omnirom was my previous daily driver - also superstable. Would use miui7 just for the camera, but I cant stand the notification system...

I'm using unofficial CM by kundancool, the battery life and performance are great.
EOS is the Greatest!
For rom cook I prefer EOS, love the slide navigation.
But I am using miui7 08.28 now. Its quite stable, no lag, good battery. May be this time Xiaomi did listen to us

Mokee or Bitti's Omnirom - rock solid stable and reliable performance. Install the ColorOS camera (search xda forums) and enjoy the awesome camera.
Metallium OS R1, using for last 2 weeks without any issues. Stable, fast, smooth... Very much like Ivan's AOSP. My reliable daily driver. Love the extra number row on the default AOSP keyboard, makes typing so much easier. Only bug is the known HDR bug. One of the few ROMs which doesn't have the bottom touch bug. Exceptional battery life (both standby and SOT are great).

Totally agree.
I used miui v7 for the first time since its release. Before I was using different custom roms based on lollipop for past 6-7 months.
About MIUI 7 16.09.
I must tell you that its the best refined experience I am having since I bought this phone.
No performance lag ( not as fast as lollipop , but still its great.), No heating at all, Best bettery life ever, Best camera, Best sound.
Its not powerful in multitasking as compared to lollipop roms,, but still I couldnt find any problem on my side.
So if you are like me using custom roms for past 6 months,,, I recommend you to just try it..
You will feel good.
which :/ custom rom has good battery life more then miui7???
, as it is KitKat based it sucks isn't that smooth as lollipop xiaomi is cheating on us

Best stable ROM for mi3w

Hi,
I am using Ivan's AOSP latest build at the moment. I want to switch to another custom ROM. Which is the best ROM with high battery backup, most stable, best performance and features . Although I would appreciate some cool animations and stuff, I want the above said features as priority.

Try the Paranoid Android 5.1.1 by synnyG http://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-3/development/cancro-t3120485
Its very stable, fast and fluid. Battery life is pretty good, able to get through a full day on regular use. Camera quality is much much better than Ivan's AOSP build, and installing the Color OS camera port is a good idea. A few bugs exists though, but for me these were negligible compared to the lollipop goodness I was getting.
1. The Audio quality through the speaker is not like stock or Ivans AOSP, I guess this is true for other Mi3 custom roms as well. You can find fixes for this, but they merely increase the volume in the mixer_paths.xml file - quality is still not at par with stock.
2. No SIM Bug. It's there for many Lollipop based ROM's. There is a simple workaround so its not much of an issue (switch on Airplane Mode before reboot to solve the issue). Fixes via flashable zip are available on XDA as well.
Overall its a great ROM and I'm using it as my daily driver after having switched from Ivan's AOSP (KK).
SlimBit-AOSP
Hi,
coming from Ivan's AOSP you could try Bitti's SlimBit AOSP, it's fast and stable. No call drops or random reboots. I can highly recommend it.
[OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12.1
i'm very happy with OFFICIAL CM 12.1.
i've been using it for 3 weeks and have yet to discover a single bug! not a single reboot, no SIM bug, it's great. battery life is great, at least 24h in my case. it's very smooth, too.
one of the advantages of official CM is that you get daily/weekly updates that automatically dirty flash themselves.
others are: stock android look, lots of customisations, no bloatware, beautiful and easily installable cyanogenmod themes.
#edit:
its XDA thread is the one with (by far) the most replies (almost 1'200), indicating that there is a large community behind it. many bugs are being reported efficiently and fixed. see for example its BUG PAGE.
I use aosp and it is awesome
