This mod is based on CM12 DSP and stock sony ftf
It contains sony sound effect and DPS sound effect
The speaker configs haven't been modified,only have changed stereo configs
I have test it on my sony z2a(D6563),and it's work on 23.1.A.1.28-23.4.A.1.232;
For the previous version(before 23.4.A.1.232)walkman would't load DSP effect,it work on itself sound effect include DSEE HX.If you wanna load DSP,pls use PowerAMP and enable MusicFX.
For 23.4.A.1.232,the DSP effect will be a global sound effect but yet i don't know why
Whether which one you choose,it should not appear FC.
Warning:Before installation,u should make a backup and i'm not responsible of any happens on your device.flash this zip at your risk.
How to make a backup:
1.Make sure you have rooted and have a Explorer like RE Explorer
2.Copy /system/etc/audio_effects.conf
/system/etc/audio_policy.conf
/system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf
/system/lib/soundfx
to a safe area like EXT Storage.

Will this increase speaker volume a bit..? I don't care about headphones volume because i have Dolby mod. But for phone speaker the volume is too low..

not yet,but u can replace it with another mixer_paths.xml which in 23.4.A.0.546,it's louder than 200 and 232.And i think the 438 is much better than 546,u can have a try.
i am using Xtreme music mod already, can i install this mod too?
does anyone know how to have the sony sound system effects in all apps ? for example youtube plays stock sount while poweramp has a musicfx function

People who need Xperia Arc S widget and Xperia S player on Xperia Arc S LT18i ..!!!
** There are certain changes in the steps please read carefully **
Thanks to datagubben and fatimarvin_15 (its a mixture of both their steps to get it this way and my created zip file)
All steps to have xperia Arc S Widget and Xperia S Working Equalizer, Clearbass, Surround, FBmusiclikes, edit option (SemcMetadataCleanup.apk) & background color change while music 3d scrolling.. Fully tested and working on my Xperia Arc S LT18i
You need a rooted Arc/ Arc S with 2.3.4 Gingerbread and CWM-recovery.
(a) Download this pack : http://www.4shared.com/zip/KZ2Bi5k9/Another_Way.html
(b) Extract it all and transfer the files to the SD-card .
(c) Start by installing only the following like a regular app : SemcMusic.apk and Soundenhancement.apk (overwrite any present). don't open player after this just do the next step ..
(d) Now you need to swith off and turn on your phone into CWM-recovery mode ..
(e) Flash this via CWM from the SD-card : Soundfx_Xperia_S.zip (contains SoundEnhancement Equalizer to work )
(f) Then flash "lib.zip" (this enables more button in equalizer)
press power off from cwm
(g) Turn on your phone and go in cwm mode again and flash "permission framework.zip"
(h) reboot your phone, remove/move n backup2sd any previous fbmusic like from system, reboot and install new fb music like to sd(for unlock bootloaders wheather they have relocked it later) . Else who have not unlocked bootloader atall, just replace it with new one in file to sys/app with rw-r-r permissions. if this doesn't works just do it as told for the unlock bootloader arc s phones ..
Then just go in settings and recheck facebook integration and fbmusic like will work!!
(i) Then Do it normally for SemcMetadataCleanup.apk install to sd or try it to sys/app with rw-r-r permissions (i cannot confirm its fully functional as i had unlocked bootloader so "download from network" feature doesn't works, but it does work like you can edit album art and add album art pic from gallery and edit song details)

If you see the music widget being blank, just remove it from screen and re add to screen it should definately work ... with the crystal colour changing according to theme the small flames
So there you have it! Xperia Arc S widget and Xperia S player on lt18i xperia arc s ( cannot confirm for arc as i dont have it )

Regarding this working on ics?! Well i didn't like ics so i never tried it there, i believe this method won't work on ics and it would require more modifications ...
I believe but not sure that for Ics you just need to normally install the xperia s music player and sound enhacement to sd ....
You may get the music player ofcourse running and the xperia s equalizer with better sound quality for earphones.. but u may have to sacrifice the clear bass, surround sound thing and not to install those zip files using cwm .... i am not sure still u can see if it works and if u have no problem that if it doesnt works and u re-flash ur phone again ...
upto you or mayb i'll try to figure out for ics when i get an updated ics better than gingerbread .62

I've been wondering, some cm11 rom come with apollo and dsp manager as it default audio player and audio enhancement. So my question is, can I freeze both these apk using titanium backup and replace it with power amp and viper4android? Would this changes make the rom unstable? Your opinion please.

I don't see that this could make the ROM unstable. Just go with it!

Hi guys, i edit mixer.xml for sound booster in android N For those who like more loud, and do not have a Custom Kernel with faux sound loud on speakers and headphones and voice recorder has been improved as well.
INSTALLATION
copy/paste mixer_paths.xml to /system/etc and set file permissions to rw-r-r (chmod 644)
Reboot
Download MixerMod
working with custom roms,
I not tested IN roms based on AOSP, but should work also, i use in aicp working fine
