[XPOSED app/module] VDcfs(Dynamic CPU frequency scaling) for galaxy s6/S6e/note5/s6e+ - Galaxy S6 Themes and Apps

I made a xposed module called VDcfs which means Dynamic CPU frequency scaling. This app is more like TWDVFS and could change CPU scheduling dynamicly by detecting which foreground app is running. You can appoint your foreground apps to use different kinds of CPU governers. For example, VDcfs contains 3 governers based on interactive gonverer:
1. Performance governer list -- In this governer, A57 would be used first and the maximum frequency for A57 is up to 2.1G.
2. Powersave governer list -- In this governer, A53 would be used first, the maximum frequency for A53 is up to 1.3G, the maximum frequency for A57 is up to 1G.
3. Smooth governer list -- In this governer, A57 would be used first and the maximum frequency for A57 is up to 1.6G.
You can choose which app to use one of these 3 goveners.
PS: This app need 2 important things.
(1) After your activate this module in XPOSED and reboot your phone. Please give root permission to this app.
(2) Please turn on auto-run in tw smart manager.

You should put this on the Xposed Repo, so it's easier to update! Thanks :good:

Anybody tried this yet

is there any update, in chinese forum i see u gonna bring further update for this(in some case i cant login there), but its already so long been no update?

Cpu scaling

I cnt change the cpu scaling setting to anything but the default perfrmance i want to switch it to on demand but it doesn't have the option or allow me to switch it.... what's going on? Tried 2 dif kernels.

It is useless. Our kernels only have performance and powersave, and accordingto big kernel specialists there is no visible difference between those two. In CM7 kernel scaling support was even dropped if I'm correct.

yes you are correct
our tegra devices uses the tegra 2 build in governor at least on this kernel
you can put in as much governors as you want it will still be using its own governor
the settings doesn't do anything on our devices so just ignore it
Hmm i wasn't aware of that, ok cheers guys.

Not sure if anyone has been using the OC modules for the Razr, but they work just the same on the Bionic. Tweakerz is Whirleyes newest creation that uses his modified Tekahuna opptimizer modules to work for the Razr/Bionic/Atrix. He also ported the govs we all love to use on these phones and created an app for us to utilize all the goods. The app "Tweakerz" is in alpha, but is still very useful. You can also download just the modules, insmod, and write a script to boot if you wish.
You can get it all right here!

Don't think so. You need to use the original opptimizer kernel module from tekahuna.

Tweakerz for Atrix 2 ME865
I already have init.d support on my stock JB 4.1.2 Atrix 2 (ME865). I installed the tweakerz app but do not see any listings under respective tabs. When I click on for ex. pegasus (from the unloaded modules) I get a pop up saying load module (insmod). What am I doing wrong here? Do I need to flash the zip first using CWMR? My interest in Tweakerz was that it does not alter system and is mainly a temporary OC app until phone is rebooted, guidance will be appreciated.

[Q] 10% loss of battery over a period of 8 hours (idle) on new 307 fw

Hello all.
I flashed a new 307 ROM prepared by nutz and decided to test the battery life. This may or may not be the same as in the previous firmware but that is not what I am interested in. I want to know what is causing the battery drain (if any) and which of them that I should get rid of.
This is done after the phone charged to 100% (I calibrated the battery using an app as it was a new ROM) and the screen on time is about 8 minutes and then left idle until I woke up the next day. I have Doomkernel V7 installed with the lowest frequency set at 192MHz (undervolted to 675000) and highest 810MHz (undervolted to 775000). Governer is wheatley + cfq.

Seems like you forgot to set "wifi off during standby" in the wifi-settings. Check that first.

I like how you are testing the new firmware, rooted and custom kernel LOL

according to some post that i read awhile back, wifi uses very little power during idle so it is not necessary to turn it off. I thought it shouldn't affect the battery usage by much when turned on while idle.

Big chip is doing nothing !!

hey guys,
recently I discovered brilliant app ( Intel® Performance Viewer ) which can monitor cpu core usage and freqs in real-time. As I was always concerned about my Z4's underperforming 810 chip, I decided to test cpu in different apps. So heres one - M&B WARBAND which is emulated and requires a lot of horse power. I also spawned around 200 troops to harden the task. As you can see I got 5 FPS while Big Chip (A57) is literally sleeping. Naturally, A53 is struggling at getting playable framerate. Same thing happens in Antutu, GeekBench, PPSSPP, and in every power demanding apps( games, emulators and etc).
WTF is wrong with 810 CPU guys? or should I blame Sony for trash governors which can't figure out when they should activate all cores?

It's functioning much much better. There's another thread that shows benchmarks.

big.Little on this device runs HMP
The most powerful use model of big.LITTLE architecture is heterogeneous multi-processing (HMP), which enables the use of all physical cores at the same time. Threads with high priority or computational intensity can in this case be allocated to the "big" cores while threads with less priority or less computational intensity, such as background tasks, can be performed by the "LITTLE" cores.[10][11] source from Wikipedia.
