I need a factory US rom for thre Axon. - ZTE Axon Pro

Can anybody get me a factory based US rom?

Tried but no cigar. I even contacted ZTE and they stated it wouldn't be provided. Not sure how you can repair firmware should something go wrong. All major OEM's provide stock ROM downloads and I explained this to ZTE to no avail.

Nexus one europe passing stock rom

My Nexus one coult not recieve over the air update.
So I loaded a passimg file on it but when it rebooted i noticed it was not a europe ROM.
This was the file I loaded on itPassion_Google_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_MFG_Shipment_ ROM.zip
The rom i need with dutch language is this i guess:
Cestina
Dansk
Deutsch
English (Australia)(New Zealand)(South Africa)(UK)(US)
Espanol
Francais
Italiano
Nederlands (DUTCH°
Polski
Portugues
Svenska
and Russian
Can someone give me a link to a recent file.
The files i already tried give me the following error: Main version is older, UPDATE fail.
I just want dutch language back on it, who can find a european passing.zip stock rom that works.
Currently this is on the device: android 2.3.4, build GRJ22
thx
This seams strange to me because the default android ROM has many languages, now I am running cm6.1.1 so it may be a little different but I have all the languages you mentioned above (except Russian but I figure that is because it is righten in a language I don't understand ) so I'm not sure but if you go to settings -> language & keyboard -> select language they should be there.

thx for your reaction: It shows the following locale:
Deutch
English (UK)
English (US°
Espanol (espana)
espanol (estados unidos)
Francais
Italiano
Portugues
AND 4 chinese languages
So the nexus one sure has other language roms
How can i get the DUTCH one back??
I used this tut for putting the passimg file with the wrong language files on my phone.
this was the procedure I followed:
1.Download all the update files listed in the Links to Files section at the bottom of this post.
2.Unzip Passion_Google_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_MFG_Shipment_ROM.zip. One unzipped you will find a zip file called PASSIMG_Passion_Google_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_release_signed.zip. Rename this file passimg.zip and copy to the root of your SD card.
3.Use the PASSIMG.ZIP method above to install the file. Once you are in the HBOOT menu, it will automatically start loading the passimg.zip file and then prompt you asking if you want to install the updates. Press Vol Up to install these updates. Once the process has completed, you will be asked to press VolumeUp to reboot the phone. it may prompt you to restart the phone or restart it automatically for you. (SOMEONE PLEASE CONFIRM WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS. It was 4am when I did it and I can’t remember anymore).
4.When the phone has finished rebooting, it will be as if you have a new phone and will prompt you for your google account. Don’t enter your Google account. You should only do this once you have finished installing the Gingerbread update.
5.Check your android version information matches the following:
It was the Passion_Google_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_MFG_Shipment_ROM.zip. that contained the wrong language files for me
does anybody has such a file with dutch language?
There's no stock google ROM that supports Dutch on our Nexus One, you will have to use this Vodafone frf91 ROM (rename PASSIMG.ZIP).
There's no gingerbread update yet, but they are working on it..
@ Tommert38
I get the message, main version is older update failed
I have currently this is on the device: android 2.3.4, build GRJ22
what can i do ?
thx
Unlock your bootloader and flash a ROM that has support for Dutch (like the stock one in the link posted above, or send it in for warranty...
the strange thing is it had originaly the DUTCH europe rom on it en then i follewed this methode on this site ossadmin.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/goodbye-vodafone-uk-nexus-one-rom and it changed in a english rom.
for this procedure i diddend had to unlock bootloader on my unrooted machine
it seems that restoring my nexus to stock firm is a hard procedure to follow since I dont wont to lose my warranty

When you followed that procedure, you flashed a WWE (World Wide English) ROM to your device. A WWE ROM does not have Dutch. To get Dutch, you need to flash a VF ROM. However, you tried to do that, but you got the "main version is older" error. So, your only options are to unlock your bootloader, and then flash the images from the VF ROM, or, since you say it is still under warranty, send it in for repair.
I contacted HTC about the problem.
Theire response:
Thank you for contacting HTC regarding your Google Nexus One I understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with getting the 2.3 update. I apologise but as this has not been updated by the official process we would not be able to provide support on this and the warranty would now be void.
What since when does using the passimg method void your warranty it's Google signed files, might as well say that using the update.zip with there file from there servers voids your warranty because you didn't do it via OTA.
Ok so the way I see it you have two options root with one of the many methods and flash a ROM that has the languages you want OR call the guys at htc back a few times cause maybe the guy you talked to the first time didn't know exactly what he was talking about and thought you flashed custom firmware not Google signed firmware if they don't take your case then you may just have to root.
Htc refered in their last mail with me to:
Dear X,
Thank you for your email and the information. I can only apologise however we would always advise to search for updates manually or wait until these are pushed to you over the air. I am only advising you of our terms and conditions of repair and warranty. I have enclosed these for you.
http://service.europe.htc.com/terms.aspx
Terms & condistions
1. Estimated turnover period
We estimate that we will normally be able to complete orders and return the units to most mainland addresses in the UK within 5 working days from receipt of the unit. Where the repair requires parts to be specially ordered or delivery to remote areas of the UK, or to other countries, this may take longer. HTC EU will endeavour to complete all orders within 5 working days from clearance of payment or warranty authorisation.
2.1 General
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
2.2 In warranty Repair
In-Warranty repair means a repair carried out on a unit within 12 months of its purchase. This is not a Non-Warranty chargeable repair.
2.3 Non-Warranty chargeable repair
Repair of a unit that is In-Warranty but which needs to be repaired for one of the following or similar reasons will be classified as a Non-Warranty chargeable repair:
a) Accidental damage. Accidental damage to the unit, such as dropping it on the ground or in water, broken LCD, damaged Sync/Charger Connector, damage caused by liquid entering the unit, dog bites, or other misuse due to failure of the customer to follow the instructions properly or failure to upgrade the software as procedures outlined warranty terms or downloading illegal software onto the unit. Where the fault is caused by downloading illegal software into the unit or other accidental damage, the customer will be required to pay for spares, labour, diagnosis and software refurbishment along with shipping and handling charges plus VAT. These figures together with any other costs will be specified under the "quotation for chargeable repairs" procedure as set forth in this Agreement.
b) No Fault Found (NFF). Given below are some examples of NFF:
Failure of the unit to charge due to particles trapped inside the charging socket.
Failure to use the unit properly according to instructions in the manual and warranty terms.
If the unit is identified as NFF, the customer will be required to pay the cost of fault-diagonsis and shipping. These figures together with any other costs will be specified under the "quotation for chargeable repairs" procedure as set forth in this Agreement.
c) Liquid Damage. We recommend that the customer does not send us phones which have been damaged by liquid. Liquid damaged phones are expensive to repair as all the major components have to be replaced and for this reason we classify them as Beyond Economic Repair.

Two things:
The "passimg" method as you so call it, is using a shipped ROM that was leaked by someone. It was never "officially" released by Google. If you happen to flash the wrong leaked image onto your device (like what the OP did), you do not have official software on your device...
Second, how do you expect him to root 2.3.4 without unlocking his bootloader? Not possible at this point in time. He could try to reflash the same shipped ROM that he originally did, and if that works, he could root that build, flash a custom recovery, and then flash a Dutch-compatible ROM.

For thing number one yes I know it was leaked but it's still google singed so how do you want them to know the difference between the two also if he just flashes the 2.3.3 passimg file that was released by htc on their developers page then it is not leaked or illegal software it was put there by the manufacturer of the phone so it should be good.
For thing number two that is exactly what I meant he did the passimg method once so he can do it again then from there just root it and flash a rooted version of 2.3.4 like the cm nightlys.

They know, because he has a vodafone N1, which did not come with 2.3.3, and there is no way of getting 2.3.3 on a vodafone N1 (as there are no official updates yet) without either unlocking the bootloader, or flashing a leaked build (to go to unbranded). No other way...

I'm assuming that it is a translation issue, and not you not reading my posts.
YOU FLASHED AN STOCK, UNBRANDED, ENGLISH ROM. This was NOT an official ROM for your device. If you want to go back to a Dutch ROM, you have to either root your device, or unlock your bootloader, and flash back the Vodafone ROM. You cannot do it without root or an unlocked bootloader.
Is everything clear up to this point?

Ok for the frg33 your right it is leaked unofficial firmware but what about htc's 2.3.3 that it is not leaked it was purposely sent out and it has Google's signature on it so you can't say that that is leaked by htc cause or else Google would have forced them to take it down, then maybe it would be considered illegal but Google said nothing so it they can't say that that is illegal software cause or else they should sue htc for releasing something they had no permission to and that had Google's signature not say that people can't use it. Or am I missing something?

[Q] Voiding warranty and how to get away with it

Hello,
I just got my first android phone, X8. I've read through sticky threads about upgrading and various other threads, and I'm just about to install GingerDX (Is that a good choice?).
But I haven't found anything warranty related on X8 forums, and while I did found some stuff on other boards, I'd really like to know specifically about X8.
Basically, I'd like to know if it's possible (and if it's needed) to revert to the currently installed android version to have my warranty honored in case of a non-OS related issue? I'm assuming it's done via xRecovery, but can they tell that something has been done with the OS, and is the process more difficult than upgrade itself? Also, will I be able to revert to the exact OS that was installed on the phone, or just a vanilla 2.1 installation?
P.S. I've seen many Croatia flags under people names on this board, so to those people - since I'm from Croatia : Have you had or heard about experiences related to this issue?
Thank you for reading,
P.
The warranti is void, as you root your phone. But there is SEUS for that. If the phone can flash himself the stock firmware to the phone, you can get your warranty. If not, then hope for that.
You can always flash a backup of your stock ROM via a recovery, and then you can unroot with SuperOneClick.
But If you´ve made other changes in the internal memory, like App2SD, better reflash the latest original 2.1 with SEUS/PCC/Flashtool
BTW:
Yes, GingerDX is a very good choice
Good to hear, that about answered all of my questions.
Thank you both!

[Q] Confusion over recoveries and AOSP

As content as I am with my tweaked stock rom on my Note 3 (AT&T variant...) curiosity has me looking at custom ROMs. However, when I look for information on the AT&T Note 3, most sites say locked bootloader. Which would tell me that I can't install ClockworkMod/TWRP recovery to install an AOSP ROM (probably CyanogenMod since most others seem based off that anyways). Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would mean I'm (we're?) stuck with factory-based ROMs.
However...the instructions here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_hlte mention nothing about the AT&T variant not working.
And I found this: http://www.teamandroid.com/2014/09/...-att-galaxy-note-3-n900a-kitkat-custom-rom/2/ where they have the ClockworkMod installed. However, in this case, search engines have been unhelpful in finding more information about the "Internazionale" ROM. The only thing I've seen is that it's based on official N9005XXUENC2.
Will the hlte instructions work on an AT&T Note 3? I don't have a warranty on the phone anyways, so voiding it really isn't an issue; I'm simply not interested in bricking the thing.

Take the time to click on just about any thread and you'll find the answer to your question. The bootloader is locked on only the AT&T and Verizon variants so only stock kernels will work. Only ROMs based on the stock ROM will work.
I have been reading threads here for the last week. I know how people who ask seemingly dumb questions get attacked here. I almost didn't even post the questions to begin with cause I knew the repricussions of asking questions.
So...only factory firmware with the locked boot loader. Next question...can we run a non-odin recovery? In the one page I posted it looked like they were running CWM recovery, but everything I've read here says to use the safeboot strap.
Safestrap 3.75 is the ONLY option available to us on the AT&T variant. It does use a modded version of TWRP, but as previously stated, only roms that use the stock TW kernel will work. So far the best rom I've tried is DynamicKat.

G870A, Soft Bricked, Need 4.4.4 or 5.1.1 completely stock "Unrooted" firmware file

G870A, Soft Bricked, Need 4.4.4 or 5.1.1 completely stock "Unrooted" firmware file
EDITED 12-27-15:
XDA Assist has sent me to this forum (Thanx). Info and questions follow, here are the basic details:
G870A variant of the samsung S5 (Active)
Stock, unrooted, carrier locked
interrupted power during OTA update from AT&T (most likely 5.1.1)
forced phone into "download mode" and attempted to flash 4.4.2 (NE4) instead of update (actual file used: G870AUCU1ANE4_G870AATT1ANE4_G870AUCU1ANE4_HOME.tar.md5)
Phone stuck in bootloop with freeze/repeat at AT&T logo
unable to locate completely stock firmware file for 4.4.4 (G870AUCU1AOA1 or OA2) to flash back to most recent functional OS.
still currently able to force recovery mode or download mode.
**update:
As far as i know, the OTA for 5.1.1 did completely download but i dont think it "installed" because i removed battery during initial auto-reboot. The existing ROM would have been 4.4.4 mentioned above, updated and active official firmware from AT&T.
Basic Explanation of actions: I do fully realize that my actions and subsequent "incomplete" attempt to patch the software were unwise but i was merely weeks away from paying off the phone, owning it, having it unlocked by AT&T, properly rooting and installing a custom ROM (as i had successfully done to my wife's G900A). In a moment of panic, not wanting to be locked out of my phone forever by Lolipop, I ripped out the battery during the reboot that was loading Lolipop... every time I put the battery back in and hit power, the phone still attempted to load and write 5.1.1. So I thought maybe, the official firmware copy from 4.4.2, which my phone shipped with in 2014, might flash, even though i was not rooted or unlocked. Clearly i was mistaken but it was all i could think of under pressure.
At this point, I am Completely unconcerned about almost all data on phone or even the hardware EXCEPT for some extensive "memo" notes, which i desperately want to recover. I also dont care anymore about avoiding Lolipop because the memo data is more important to me. I am literally willing to rip the internal memory from this phone and send the SD to a data forensics company if that's what it takes, i no longer care about the phone at all... Having said that, recovering it myself and keeping the phone might be nice also.
Question: where might i find a completely stock firmware for 4.4.4 factory, UN-rooted,to flash; or what procedure might i use to directly pull data from the phone, while soft bricked, before doing a full factory reset?
Alternately, any advice on directions i may not have thought of yet?
I have looked pretty deep into the existing XDA forums for this info but i am only finding "custom ROMs" which are rooted or factory stock ROMS for 4.4.2 and most advice deals with rooting, then flashing. I am not rooting but simply flashing fully unrooted stock firmware AND starting in a bootloop/soft brick state. This is why i did a fresh thread.
Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help!

Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist. To get you the expert help you need, I'm going to move this thread to the most relevant Q&A forum for your device. Good luck!
Hello,
I am not an expert or anywhere close but I understand the basics of Android flashing / rooting, etc.
I happened to have rooted my G870A from AT&T successfully using a thread from XDA and I noticed they also provided the original firmware for G870A in case of problems:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...to-root-g870aucu1aoa1-4-4-4-2-7-2015-t3025119
So I thought this may help you considering you're looking for an original firmware for your G870A.
What I suggest is to try to flash "G870AUCU1ANE4_Full_Odin.tar" (available from the thread I linked above, I didn't want to rip the links out of the thread) using Odin v3.09+.
I did not use this firmware to root my G870A (only used the updates) but everything worked on the first try.
Follow instructions in the thread I provided. If that still doesn't work, you may need an Android expert on the case.
I wish you good luck in your data recovery. And yes, I registered just to post a reply to your thread.
(also: if you want to root your G870A, the thread explains the proper way to do it!)
Appreciate the thought

Really appreciate the thought, however, that particular file is the file that i had originally used before posting. i think since my phone was factory locked and unrooted i did not have the permissions needed to basically "roll back" my phone to 4.4.2 but i am not educated enough to be sure of the exact problem flashing that file.
Thanks again for suggesting it though! I am nearing the time when I will just have to give up and send off the internal memory for physical extraction and data recovery
Hello,
I am also not an expert or anywhere close but I understand the basics of Android flashing / rooting, etc.
With that said: Let the OTA happen. You will not lose the files unless you already started a factory reset. Then your sol. You will not be able to root but you have a better chance of retrieving the files you are looking for. The phone is not like a computer. You can't just pull the HD and sent it out. You either already had the 5.0 kernel or the 5.1 kernel loaded before you stopped the process. This makes it impossible to go back. You can only go forward.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Thanks for that idea. the trouble at this point is that im stuck in a bootloop that catches on the att logo. I agree that the only option now is to continue forward. i just need a fully official software newer than 4.4.4 to load through kies or odin. at least i "hope" the newer file will work.
so far i have only been able to find stock ROMs that are rooted, and i dont think i can load a rooted stock ROM onto a carrier locked un-rooted phone.
The part you mentioned about the kernal is probably true. i had not thought of that before.

G800H Duos - CM13 / 12.1 / Clone from identical phone

Hi,
I took the plunge and rooted + flashed my phone last week after finding that the CM13 ROM is supposed to support a G800H dual sim. Unfortunately CM13 doesn't find either of my SIM cards.
So I spent a long time reflashing other custom ROMs to see if I could get one to work. I finally managed to find the CM12.1 ROM which finds my SIM cards but the recent and back button isn't functioning and when I try to uninstall an app the phone reboots and the app remains.
Can anyone help me get one of these ROMs to work properly?
Alternatively, my wife has exactly the same phone as me (unrooted and running everything as the it was out of the box), is there a way I can clone her device to mine then factory reset it?
Thanks in advance.
Flash the first Russian Lollipop twice. Yes, it's weird but if you downgrade sometimes you need to flash it twice to fully downgrade, then flash CM. If you still can't get SIMs to work on stock Lollipop, downgrade to KitKat then use OTA to go to Lollipop.
About cloning, to do a full clone you need to use TWRP as far as I know.
@lfom
Thank you for your reply my friend.
I have resorted to using Samsung Smart Switch and re initialised my phone back to stock. I think I am out of my depth as I don't even understand your reply lol!
Thanks again!

Sorry, I will try to explain. You've used Odin to root, right? You have to use Odin to flash any stock ROM that is not to the same country as your original ROM (different CSC code). All Marshmallow ROMs are based on the first Russian Lollipop ROM released by Samsung, that's why if you flash them over other ROMs you have problems like no SIM.
Ahhh I think that might be the problem! (Yes I used Odin.)
In the instructions it clearly says "1. Make sure you have updated to stock 5.1.1" - I didn't do that - what an idiot.
I take it when you say "flash any stock ROM" I need to get a 5.1.1 stock ROM - where would I get one of those from?
EDIT: would this be suitable? http://www.youmobile.org/blogs/entr...-Android-5-1-1-Lollipop-update-is-Rolling-out
Thanks for your persistence.

To avoid issues, if you want to run any my CM13 (Marshmallow) ROM, you need to flash through Odin the first 5.1.1 Russian version, for what I said before. The common and easiest place, although slow, is from SamMobile website:

@Ifom Thanks very much I will start the download when I get back from work and install it when it finishes (some time next week).
Thanks again.
