Hello,
Does anyone know if europe models will get the 5.1 upgrade? US from 4.4 will get to 5.1 but not EU from 5.0 to 5.1??
We are not in the list for 6.0 aswell? But P7 will get 6.0 , what the heck is this?

looks like p8 lite will get marshmallow too
http://phandroid.com/2015/10/16/huawei-android-marshmallow-update/
p8 young edition is p8 lite
Wysłane z mojego ALE-L21 przy użyciu Tapatalka

Huawei Consumer Poland confirmed on their facebook that Huawei P8 lite will get android 6.0 in the beginning of 2016.

From contacts on whatsapp when I received audio voice sometimes I received as AMR file and my phone p8lite not read them why? All phones read file .amr without any problem. You have had a similar problem as you have solved? For those who are testing the beta version of 5.1 you can do a test if you can hear the audio .amr, thanks

Hello, I have a question. Perhaps I'm in the wrong thread.
At this moment my p8 lite has the b170 software. Whats very irritating is that it is impossible to turn down the notification volume separate from the telephone volume.
This is I presume a software issiue. Is this something that can be changed in future updates?

I had the same problem with my Xperia Z2. All Android versions newer than 4.x have been like this. I think it's by design. You could change the notification sound to one which has a lower volume.

Hmmmm m............. My wives LG has 5.0.1 and telephone volume and notification volume are separate. Isn't it the skinn or OS that makes this difference?? My former oneplus one (cyanogen mod) had also separate volume settings.

Lollipop changed this.

Android 6.0 marshmellow p7?

I would just like to know, with the release of Android 6.0, will Huawei skip the rollout of Lollipop and focus on Marshmellow?
Does anyone know?
Thanks

You are joking, aren't you?
I'm pretty sure that we will never see official Android 6.0 for the P7.
Marshmallow for P7? You have to be kidding me. Maybe P8 in 2017 will get it, but P7 nope.

Huawei give you a good phone for price but they don't know the phone anymore after that
look at the P6, it never got 5.x update even though its more capable of running it.

The official statement of Huawei is that the following devices will get Marshmallow
• Huawei P8
• Huawei Ascend Mate 7
• Huawei Mate S
• Huawei P8 Youth Edition
• Huawei P8 Max
• Huawei G7 Plus
• Huawei Ascend G7
• Huawei Honor 7
• Huawei Ηnor 7i
• Huawei Honor 6 Plus
• Huawei Honor 6
• Huawei Honor X2
• Huawei Honor 4X
• Huawei Honor Play 4C
We are officially stuck on 5.1.1.
It's clear that why the price is cheap, just get support for 2 years and then buy a new one
*one year
(2014-2015)
Rest in Peace P7. It was nice to meet you.
It's to early to say if it's the full list.
This is the list with the first that will get Android 6.0 , Even P8 lite is missing i don't think it will be left with Android 5.1.

NEW Lollipop 5.1 Stock ROM Update for ALE-L04

Hi, yesterday Huawei announcied the UPDATE to LOLLIPOP for ALE-L04 model!
It is not available via OTA yet, but you could update manually, it's very easy.
https://community.gethuawei.com/support/b/weblog/archive/2015/10/14/p8-lite-android-l-update-now-available
Finally! Thanks for sharing!
Im updating right now
Good news! :good:
yeah great but is only for US version
My unit is ALE-L02, from Philippines, any news of having the 5.1 or 6.0 for our ALE-L02?
is it good for the ALE-L21 ?

Definitely not!
The ALE-L04 is contains a Qualcomm chipset, ours contains a HiSilicon Kirin one...two different things.
You are putting your phone to the risk of bricking if you try to upgrade to it.
Well, after a few days using this, i have the notification problem.
Found something about deleting xml files but can't find those files.
Any solution?
What are you meaning to say by notification problem?
Same as other EMUI phones. I don't recieve any. But, i don't know how but it's working fine right now. I tried some settings, maybe there is The key. But don't know what was lol.
So when we get 5.1.1 for ALE. L21 and will we get 6.0
Sent from my ALE-L21 using Tapatalk
Nobody knows for sure. Maybe we'll get it, maybe we won't.
But I'm sure after getting the appropriate sources for our phone, ROMs get produced, maybe AOSP or CM as well.
6.0 for P8 Lite is confirmed.

If you have P9 Plus VIE-L29 model, you can debrand your phone to C185, and install it from here:
VIE-L29C185B320
Installation guide can be found here on this thread Page 58.
Important points to consider:
Debrand your phone to C185
Install C185 stock marshmallow firmware
Install TWRP (yes, TWRP!)
Flash the B320 nougat beta package using TWRP
IMO, I don't recommend it. It is unstable (bluetooth doesn't work, settings sometimes hangs), and recovering back to marshmallow is another feat. Also, the most important thing is, the Nougat's cat easter egg doesn't work on this build .
