LG V10
I previously had note 3 and galaxy nexus and this phone is such a great looking phone with stainless steel on the sides and secondary screen on the top. I love how short the top empty space is (the area on the top) and also the bottom portion. Also, the back of the phone (removable back) gives a premium feel along with a huge circle for the camera.

I've had Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, LG G4, Motorola Atrix HD, and Sony Z3 all within a year's use. The N4 and AHD were nice. The N6 feels great in the hand well balanced, G4 much the same. But the Sony Z3 stood out as clean and sleek.
The v10 a cross between the N6 G4 that almost meets the Sony in its clean sleek design. Altho the ss is nice looking bling. I would have preferred Teflon or the same materials used on the Sony sides, much like the v10 back, too and lower bezel material. It can take drops dings and bangs much more IMO.

IMO, the LG V10 reminds me of Blackberry devices - they look business/professional friendly and don't scream "hey, im a teenager and my mommy bought this phone for me!"
The V10 has the look of being "professional". The stainless steel sides add a bit of variation but since most of it has the brushed effect, it is not too shiny so it makes the phone have a subtle look. The V10 is like the badass of the room. It doesnt need to be loud cuz it knows it can kick your ass.

hands down best mix of aesthetics and practicality in a smartphone ever

Forgot to mention, has anyone with an LG G4 noticed the effect/illusion of the screen having a belly or curved upwards concave instead of downward convex? It's messing with my mind and eyes.

It's not like there's a lot of options for the look of a phone, it's more-or-less a cookie-cutter rectangular design as that's the format that works. It the the textured back of the phone that I like the most.

Front and back look nice and clean. The sides suggest a tough build. Looks more premium than many other phones out there.

Ergonomics (in-hand feel)

I prefer LG design, having buttons on the back. That being said, the power button is harder to find IMO then on the G4, previous sets, because it's flat for finger prints.
Good Hand Feel
I moved on from my Nexus 6. IMHO, the V10 has batter hand feel. It's very sturdy and feels more comfortable in the hand. It's a very balanced unit.

How are differences in the screen department?
This is my first LG phone so it's taken some time to get used to the power button placement, but I prefer it now on the larger phone not having to reach across to the opposite side. I use mine without a case and love the feel of the rubber back and metal side rails. Definitely the most solid phone I've ever had.
power button has been the biggest annoyance, but all feels good. I previously had the G3 and G4

I have noticed two differences. First, the amoled panel on the N6 creates a more saturated appearance while the v10 appears more natural. There is perhaps the slightest "lean" towards blue. I believe I saw somewhere the the color (Kelvin) is well north of 5000, which supports this notion. That said, to me it's hardly noticeable. THe second is the brightness. I kept the N6 at about 33% percent brightness and I keep the v10 at 45% brightness to achieve the same appearance. Again, this is a minor issue, except for the battery impact. I'm on my third charge cycle, and after 36 hours of run time on this charge and nearly 3 hours of talk time and 2 hours of screen on time, I'm at 8 %. The N6 was a bit better, but the battery was 15% larger. Overall, I think the phone is excellent. It feels great in the hand and I'm getting used to the back buttons quickly.
I have large hands, so overall a 4/5 from me. The button placement is great, but I'm still getting used to LG functionality (button locations, knock codes, etc). The size of the phone deters some functions such as knocking, but it's really the weight that causes it to lose a star from me. The power button feel is also a bit annoying--makes it hard to find between the volume buttons just due to texture. Not a huge deal, and this is my first phone larger than an SGS4 so my opinion will likely change over time.

IMO The v10 visibility is brighter and clearer than the G4, even though the G4 is really clear already. The N6 amoled is still neat, contrasty colors (but not real) and bigger screen wise.. I still like the N6 screen size, as it's wider not taller, but I think I can finally sell it, as I've essentially turned it off since getting the v10. Haven't used my G4 since either.
Note. I keep my phones in my left front pocket solo. It fits very well. No bending pressure felt when walking or going up down steps. Not heavy, can't feel it bulge, slides in and out super easy without feeling like it's gonna slip out. It doesn't flip horizontally or diagonally, stays vertical, other designs do flip and I have to readjust so not to snap it.
it's my first phone with controls on the back side and after a day or two - it's perfect! My fingers naturally fall about where the On/Off and Volume buttons are and it feels natural. A great design for a positive user experience.
I like this phone. But this is my large phone. I find the phone a little slippery. Mainly the metal bars makes it slippery. especially when taking photos. any suggestions?
Weight: you start to feel the weight of the phone after using it for a longer period. But it also adds a premium feel to it.
Ergonomics: First phone which I don't accidentally push the power or volume buttons, because they are all on the back.
Fingerprint scanner: snappy, and reliable.

i have the gold one, love the way handset looks/feels
Z3+(z4) is a bit more sleek though, thinner, shinier.
Green one is fantastic
got the black one so so so sexy and beautiful, it feels so premium
I think its a beautiful phone, the 'candybar' design does look rather attractive
Yes, I feel it's much improved from the Z3 Compact even, esp the speaker design and frosted back. The entire phone feels more matte to me, and the speakers on the front are almost invisible the way they are just slits at the top and bottom, great for using glass screen protectors. Feels good in the hand and is significantly faster than my Z3c
I have graphite black and phone is nice looking and premium build.
In he's class is maybe best buy on the market.

i dont know what to say but sony phones have the greatest design ever, with their unique "square" design. i like it.
Just buy a Chrome Z5 Premium and he is gorgeous ! I had the gold one before he was great too
Bezels are too big, and while the buttons look nice, they are not placed in the best position.
Coming from an S6, this the best looking device i have ever used,Sony did an awesome job.

Too samsung/iphone look alike
Got the black one, looks great but I am not sure it will stay that way. I am extra carefull with my phones and this one has two where the bezel meets the back of the phone. Wished I could get the silver/black color combo but it wasn't available in my country.

I wholeheartedly disagree with this comment. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that's all I'll say about entitlement. That said, I truly see an hTC device when I look at the 10. While it doesn't carry some of the design elements present in previous iterations of their devices, even just glancing at this phone I see hTC. Sure, from the front many people may see the all glass front and rectang-ovular home key and think Samsung or, in my opinion far from iPhone looking design. But when you see the front facing camera and the long/wide earpiece it tells a different story. Then you get to the sides, top, bottom and chamfered and sharp edges of the back you know it isn't apple or sammy.
I actually really like the design of the 10 in that it is a solid/rigid design and feel sturdy and has unique elements that speak to hTCs design language, and I appreciate what they've put into it.
Iphone is distinct with the round home button ... but if you put in real life, on the same table, a white S6/S7 and a white HTC 10, both face up, for an untrained eye will be hard to say which one is which from few meters away and they will most likely be idendified as being both Samsungs. This mean HTC lost its identity. When I had the M7 it was obvious what phone it is from any angle, in any colour. Not anymore. The HTC design personality is heavily diminished in the 10.

Meh. It ain't no Note 7. That said, what wows me is performance first. My phone will be in a case which means aesthetics is moot.
The design isn't exciting, but honestly I didn't think much of the glass note 7. That stupid thing fell out of my pocket while I was laying down and cracked the back and the camera lens cover. as douger1957 said it'll be in a case anyway.

agreed...the quality of my N7 was amazing...as for the V20, screen looks great...i like the simplicity of the design...performance is great as well!!
It is an elegant understated design IMHO, least in the titanium color. Done well. Varying materials match colors (matching Al to plastic ain't easy), feels good in the hand for a naked phone (most are ice cubes).
before everyone was complaining about samsung and others that they dont use "premium" materials.
Now when they do glass/metal is bad also. Easy to crack, fingerprint magnet and at the end you put case on it so what's the point really?! just higher premium price. every phone in case will look almost the same no matter if its glass or metal or plastic but people wanted so they have it
I think my V10 felt more solid, but this phone is great too!

I must concur with you. I in particular liked the steel rails of the V10, which were attached to the main body. I suspect the V20 would have done better in the torture test of trying to bend the main body if it still had the steel rails. Looks like most of the rigidity of the V20 comes from aluminum back, which isn't fully attached. True, that was a torture test, but still...
it's not shiny armor nor glossy glass. But since Optimus G Pro, I stick to LG products for their build quality. G Pro, G 3, G Flex 2 and now V20, all these guys looks and feels solid in my hand.
I'm coming from note 4. I feel that the built quality is nice. For metal phone it's light in hand, big enough to fit the hands. Nice to hold.
Also the screen is awesome. So far I'm liking the phone.
I wish I had note 7, but due to their fiasco, I purchased this and I'll be with it for some time now. I don't plan on getting a new phone until this one dies.
as for the V20, screen looks great
Honestly, I don't think it's the nicest looking phone I've ever had.
But, It fits in my hand perfectly and compared to my old samsung phones, it feels much more solid. Compared to the note 5, I can reach all of the screen with one hand no problem. I like the more rugged, metal look of the phone.
They have an obviously flawed camera glass design that is shattering for thousands of people for no reason and LG is refusing to own the issue as usual. Otherwise it feels like good quality.
Just be prepared to have a useless camera.
Maybe it has a kind of industrial look. but it is tough as hell! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2El1Fo8Pqc 1000Ft drop and it still works lol!
Who needs a glass back that easily cracks. It'll be in a case anyway as pointed out well in most posts. Mine had a case from the moment I bought it. Just a cheap $4 at first but bought the ringke onyx and spigen tempered glass instantly as well.
Purchased dbrand stickers as well for the rear dual cam since the factory installed clear plastic ones seems to be not durable and won't last long. Though I still have them on for addt'l layer of protection. I find drop protection more useful than waterproof or dust proof ability.
Durability
Speaking of durability, a guy dropped a V20 a thousand feet from a drone onto a concrete parking lot, and the camera glass didn't break, the phone was actually still functional. The glass seems to be more vulnerable to a scratch or maybe a direct hit, a guy scratched it with a box cutter and the glass cracked, something a protective skin should help with.
Ok gang, v20 has to be one of my ever lasting phones.
I've dropped it a few times (with case one and off) no issues.
Now my wife is using it, and it got into my little ones possession, and Bam .... To the floor ... Initially there was issues with the microphone. Saw the headphone icon on the top. I did the insert and pull out of headphone trick people mentioned on blog, after I did a soft reset.
I even cautiously or tried to replicate the drop see if it would goggle loose pieces together.
But after 2 days of waiting the headphone icon disappeared and my wife called me to see if mic was working and it was I was able to hear her.
So just getting it out there for anyone else with a similar predicament .... It's not solution but at least it will provide some hope for the problem to just wait it out.

Lucky. When I had a v20, lots of horror stories every week on Reddit about minor bumps breaking camera glass. One nice thing about the v20--a million screws but it is easy to tear apart and replace things if they die.

Above Average
*2018 Bezel less like approach with a bad Chin
*Metal like Body( it's not metal)
* Sturdy look
IMHO it looks really good for that price.
- Never thought that I'll have a full-screen experience until I'll buy at least a mid-range priced phone. Ultrabudget device? Woah.
- The body feels solid. Back plate is metal and the edges are plastic, including the antenna parts.
- I love the screen. 720p resolution doesn't really bother until you look really closely, and that works fine for me. The IPS matrix is better than on previous models. You can see that black colours are darker and less blue-ish. Max brightness does great on a sunny day.
- The camera/led/fp sensor part is really good. It looks better than on RN4X, it looks more mid-range than ultrabudget. My device is black btw.
The only thing that I don't like is the side bezels, but I guess it's ok for a 120$ device. Top/bottom bezels are nice
It's slim
