Win 10 (1511 update) and screen rotation, C5J6 - Teclast X98 Air 3G

After installing Win 10 November update (1511, build 10586.3) I cannot get screen rotation to work. I had this before when I first put 10 on (I've got 10 Pro) but managed to fix it eventually.
But even with the correct drivers installed I have problems. I even have to manually start the service "Sensor Service" and add a registry key "SensorPresent" in the autorotation settings to get the rotation lock tile to appear.
I've tried all the proper drivers (from Techtablets) and even tried a Double Driver backup I made from the original Win 10 build. It just doesn't want to know.
Attached is an image showing the state of the sensors in my device manager. Broadcom GNSS and Kionix Sensor Fusion don't want to start.
This happened with the 1511 upgrade applied in place, and also now with a completely clean install. I should add that for some reason Windows initially installed the Kionix sensor as KXTJ9 and not KXCJ9. (It was definitely KXCJ9 before.)
Anyone else experienced this, or any ideas please?

same problem here

Open Device Manager.
Uninstall the Kionix Accelerometer device if it is already installed and tick to delete driver.
For the unknown device, first install the Fusion Device driver from the respective fusion folder (oem24.inf).
Then uninstall it and tick to delete the driver.
Then install the Kionix Accelerometer driver from the respective accelerometer folder (oem25.inf).
When done go to Action>Add legacy hardware,
hit Next,
select: Install the hardware that I manually select from a list
scroll down and select "Sensors" and you should see the drivers for the Fusion device already there. If not, point the installer to the fusion folder.
You will now have 3 devices. The Kionix Accelerometer I/O sensor, the Kionix Fusion Sensor and an Sdo sensor V2.
Go to display settings to enable auto-rotation. A rotation lock button will now be available for your Action Center.

Interesting as I have the same problem,
I bought this X98 Air 3G 2nd hand, and it was default which I assume loaded what ever WIN10/Android 5 was in the emmc. However I do not have this function either when I spin the tab in WIN10, it works fine under android and rotates as I flip the teclast tablet but not in WIn10
When I check device manager I do not have any exclamations and when I look at the Kionix is KXCJ9 version 1.2.6.3 and the Broadcomm but no sdo sensorV2
So if I perform the above, it should be ok and see the rotation button in the action centre?
Let me know
PEACE
Kosti

I had a crack and getting mine working and for the Sdo sensor V2 this fails to start/load and gets disabled code 10 or something like that but I did however get the Kionix Sensor Fusion in the Sensor I/O and the Broadcom GNSS (which was already installed showing in Device Mgr) and so now I have rotation & the rotation lock tile appearing and working but it seems the sensor inverts the info and flips 180 deg opposite of what what it should be when rotating
Have you guys had this issue is it a simple reg fix for this? I will go and look and see if I can resolve and report back as I thought I saw mention of this somewhere
Didn't take long to find it -
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR000\Device Parameters\kxfusion]
“Orientation”=hex:01,00,00,01,01,00,02
Use this for gsensor.reg

https://mega.nz/#!5F5gxQRQ!ubSEhU97qxsWQULd6IhhY5pre8ACVf-q-xvj4euaT6Y
First install the .exe than apply .reg and reboot.

Thanks, I did manage to figure it out and I also had to modify the REG file since my entry didn't live in the same key location
originally the reg key has this
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0000\Device Parameters\kxfusion]
“Orientation”=hex:01,01,00,00,00,00,02
mine is
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0001\Device Parameters\kxfusion]
“Orientation”=hex:01,00,00,01,01,00,02
Now its working, I also jumped on Kionix website and grabbed the latest drives and uncompressed the files and undated them via the device manager to the new versions
I've made mention to this in your original thread for Win10
Cheers

Which version of the tablet do you have? Does my .reg file fix the problem for you? I have an c5j6, and the screen rotation is working well with my gsensor fix . (Just in case I need to mod my iso )

I also have the c5j6, but the rotation tile in windows was not present and when i added in the Kionix Fusion Sensor the tile appeared in windows, but rotation was 180 degrees off, I also tried to add in the Sdo sensor V2 driver but this gave me the exclamation so I removed it
I already had g-sensor files in my tool bags of files, so I didn't use the one you posted, only modified the reg file because the a HEX numbers were wrong so I changed them to suit my file location as per the example below
My location of the driver was not like this
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0000\Device Parameters\kxfusion]
“Orientation”=hex:01,01,00,00,00,00,02
modded mine to this for it to work
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0001\Device Parameters\kxfusion]
“Orientation”=hex:01,00,00,01,01,00,02
I also grabbed the latest drivers from Kionix and just used the update option in device manager which provided new versions (but I performed this update after the hacks)
I did not have 3 device Drivers under Sensors in my Device management only the broadcomm one, I added in both the Kionix Fusion & Sdo sensor V2 drivers then removed the Sdo as I am not sure its function of its required?

For posterity's sake, mine turned out to be
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0000\Device Parameters\kxfusion]
"Orientation"=hex:01,01,00,00,01,01,02
Only slightly off topic, the tab is an X98 Air III ( M5C5 )

BlueAngel WM2005 problems resolution

Lets make a topic and post here fixes and useful stuff we'll find about WM5.
Here are tips to speedup WM2005 on BA:
1. Disable most sounds
2. [deleted, integrated into ba_wm5_fix.cab]
3. It is very annoying that OS checks the digital signature of all DLL/EXE files. I've uploaded a patched version that does not do that to /Uploads/Blueangel/wm5_test/ba_wm5_patch2.rar on FTP. It is nk.nbf file, replace the original file with it and reflash the device. This ROM version works a bit faster.updated 14 sent, probably fixed a problem that some CABs did not install.
4. Finally I've managed to make a backlight fix, I've taken FrontLight.Dll from 1.40 ROM and made a CAB-file that installs it and makes necessary registry changes. This CAB also contains registry fixes from p.2 and missing EXE files from my lower post. To install it just copy it to your device and run. updated 10 sent. 2005. Added 2 bluetooth files provided by ramram (today icon and bt settings). Removed STK.EXE.
5. I don't like the default behavior of hardware buttons - the leftmost and rightmost are mapped to softkeys. I've attached the fix that restores the WM2003 behavior. Previous version was not working. I've attached a fixed build.
6. To send files over BT use this method. Turn on BT, in Explorer tap on file and in context menu select "Beam File". It would send file over BT and IRDA.
7. Attached the camera fix CAB. It is taken from old ROM and is not fully compatible with WM5.
8. ramram made a CAB with album and MIDI ringtone support - http://forum.xda-developers.com/download.php?id=6658
9. dynastykai and rschell posted here that deleting hklm\drivers\builtin\camera and cameradriver registry keys would fix sound problems under SX66. I've attached a CAB file that would remove these keys (remove_camera_reg.rar). Updated 10 sent 2005, previous version did not install.
10. Added Headset_Today.rar. It shows bluetooth headset mode on today screen.
11. Added extended ROM unlocker
12. brn2prgrm found a fix for WiFi connection dropping on resume from standby - http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=30840
I've made BA_WIFI_FIX.CAB that sets the required registry value.
Note. After editing registry you need to power off your device, wait several seconds and soft reset. Otherwise changes would be lost!
Note2. When you install CAB file and it asks you to reboot device - don't do this! Power down your device, wait a bit, power on and then reboot. Otherwise registry would not be updated.
Note3. All CAB files attached here would work only on patched ROM!
Note4. Attached files may uninstall incorrectly.
Note5. If you have installed a previous patched or unpatched ROM - you can safely reflash your device with the most recent version. No data except for clock settings would be lost. It is not necessary to reinstall CAB files if they were already installed.
I'll copy here the other my post.
The main reason for battery draining in my case was that buttons are not locked when the phone is turned off. So it constantly turns on when it is in pocket. To fix this - take following files from 1.40 ROM:
Backlight.exe
ButtonLock.exe
CSDType.exe
DIM.exe
Keyboard.exe
MicrophoneAGC.exe
WLanMgr.exe
MyCPL.cpl
and copy to \Windows folder on your device. Windows would cry that files are unsigned - say "yes", then reboot. You'll be able to turn keyboard backlight off, lock buttons, change GPRS class, but you cannot change brightness. The sliders are ignored. They are ignored even if you'll take driver from the WM2003 OS.

Guys, Install Album with midi.rar , it will enable the album works with the camera file tweaked by Mamaich and especially to enable midis as ringtones good luck
I also created a cab file to let you disconnect from the G bubble while you're connecting from the GPRS.
Tonailed created a file to wake up the device and turn on the screen backlight the time you receive an SMS. Click here to download!
To resolve the issue of the voice command "Low voice while announcing the names" on WM2005 install this patch:
Bug: Bluetooth shuts off when the device power button is pushed.
Bug: GRPS cannot be connected manually, it has to be done using a web browser.
Fix: By setting the clock to always be on the task bar, it greatly increases speed, reason it no longer has to redraw the bar at the top. So switching between windows is much faster. To do this click on clock settings in the control panel.
thanks
TOmTom 5.10 works
WM 5.10 works
Voice Command Works
Regedit works
Cryptocard works
Wifi works
...
First step to this?
So in my oppinion the first step now must be to create a buglist . I think, devs wiki would be a great place for this, what do you think?

i need help
i install on my sx66 the pda2k_5.rar
1.its very slow and i stop the sound
2.i cant dial with my phone the phonepad is not function
3.i dont get the bt mannger on today screen
4.no ring on incoming calls
appreciate help
You have to wait a few seconds, until it dials. But it works! On PH20B1 Devices there is no sound after all. Can PH20B users copy that? What about sound on your devices?
I've made a fix for the backlight problem and integrated there ramram's CAB. See the first post.
Bubisch. I don't have sound problems.
icohen2005. On my device it is not slow, no problems with rings or phone pad. I use patched ROM version.
The only problem left is that it does not respond for several seconds to keypresses/screen taps after it is turned off and quickly on again. And SPB PocketPlus 3.0 today plugin slowsdown the device.
I use dualsim adapter, after upgrading, the radio doesn't work. When I put single Sim card the radio is OK. Cause WM2005 has no STK? How to fix this problem? If it does not work, may be I downgrade to 2003se
MIDI Files
after i have installe WM5 i have tried to make my *.mid files to work as a ringtones but it doesn't work also windows media player does not recognize them.
Bluetooth
also bluetooth is weak i have noticed that 1. 3900 is little bit better than the one equipped with WM05

Helmi_BA_WM2k5_AKU3.5_v1.4.CF2 R2 by baniaczek

Updated version of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1156153
Modifications:
Fixed mail body/mail attachments errors.
Default Crossbow theme: Remake.
Net.CF: Fixed errors. Upgraded to Net.CF2.SP2. Managed V1 libraries (Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Configuration Microsoft.WindowsMobile Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Forms Microsoft.WindowsMobile.PocketOutlook Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Status Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Telephony) imported from WM6 SDK.
Phone application imported from AKU 3.3 (smartdial still works). Used a bit different phone skin (gray molski.biz). There is attached gray smartdial - compatible with phone skin.
SqlCeSe.sys.dll: imported from WM6 ROM. A bit newer version than used in WM5.
Deleted all predefined favorites. They are not mine favorites.
Corrected Sim Toolkit.
Added Windows Mobile Updates for Daylight Saving Time
Reorganized "Programs" and "Settings". Removed ActiveSync (still available via Comm manager), InternetSharing and ModemLink - available in Settings/Connections. "Backlight" applet moved to "Personal" tab. I think, it is the most often used applet. Removed "Button Lock" - use: Settings/Personal/Buttons/Lock tab instead.
Modified today items order, date plugin set to single line.
PIE: some tweaks. Mostly performance tweaks. Cache limited to 10880kB - the rest of RamDisk can be used for storing mails.
Startup items removed from \Windows\StartUp folder. They are launched from [HKLM\init]. This saves some vital resources.
MSN (in the ExtRom folder) - slightly modified. Other ExtRom CABs are nearly the same. All CABs are disabled by default. Modify \ExtROM\cfg.txt to suit your needs.
Modified some graphics (smallest ones imported from WM6) and sounds. Removed fatutil.dll.0409.mui
[*]COM6 set as GPS intermediate port (look at GPS applet). Don't use COM6 for other purposes unless you undefine that.
Maintenance:
Remove (by hand) \Windows\StartUp\Camera_Detect.lnk.
Known problems:
Button SpeakerOn button doesn't work. Press and hold green phone hardware button instead. Probably I'll not fix it in the nearest future.
Changing themes: After changing theme and reverting back to the default, BaseHue is not restored. I think it is WM5 error (there is somewhere hardcoded default value). To restore: set [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color] value BaseHue to b0d57e (hex).
Net.CF: Resco keygen and some other poorly written applications expects to use Net.CF.2 without any service pack. Ask software vendor.
Ringtones are not clear. IMO they have to be loud. They are encoded to have files as small as possible.
Main update files:
Update: Rapidshare
Mirror: MegaUpload (thanks to blackflagsvn)
Mirror: SendSpace (thanks to jakubd)
Mirror: micmeo (thanks to micmeo)
Mirror: isis2.uitm.edu.my (thanks to bizkut)
Misc files:
Reenable sound on screen taps: ClicksClacks.cab
Updated version again - previous version was not working: A bit customized, simplest (sorry, wmpaint is my friend) version of gray SmartDial_V2.5 Uninstall previous version of smartdial before. Other versions (Greek, Hebrew, Cyrillic) you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1100370#post1100370
If you think, that you have to reinstall sms_alert_fix - try this. Updated version: SMS_alert_fix_patch_1, uses InitLauncher. It is Ok to install over previous version
Network update. It is part of next release, but I believe it can resolve some problems with wifi connection. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=37063&stc=1&d=1176410905
Thanks:
Many thanks to: helmi_c, mamaich, bepe, logout, tuatara, xplode, saman and supporting user. Happy Easter.
Tips:
Turn on WiFi: Do it only once after soft reset. This procedure will load WiFi driver into system drivers. Start Comm Manager. Select from menu: Settings/WLANsettings. Tap "Turn on WLAN". If there are any WiFi networks available - device will try to connect to. Provide proper parameters (network name, authentication, encryption, keys etc). Probably device would not connect. Go back to "Comm Manager". Turn WiFi off. Since that use only Comm Manager to turn WiFi on and off. There is easy way to recognize if it is required to load WiFi driver, or it is enough to turn on. Look at todays wireless plugin. If there is listed WiFi in any state - there is no need to load driver tapping "Turn on WLAN". Resolving this issue is not easy. If you are interested - read this: http://www.teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=194
COM ports: There are free only COM7 and COM8. COM1 - serial (bottom connector), COM2 - serial_cmd (to send AT commands to the phone) (I'm not sure), COM3 - IrDA, COM4 - BlueTooth, COM5 - BlueTooth DUN, COM6 - GPS intermediate driver, COM7 - free, COM8 - free, COM9 - Virtual COM (virser_data).
NetCF, WiFi and BT GPS together - WiFiFoFum. Setup: add new bluetooth device. Follow pairing procedure. Check "Serial port" service to use from this device. Select "CommPorts/NewOutgoingPort". Use COM7 or COM8. Goto GPS applet (Settings/Connections/GPS). Select "Hardware" tab. Enter previously selected port COM7 or COM8. Verify "Programs" tab - COM6 should be selected. Ok. Turn on WiFi (see previous tips), turn on BT, start WiFiFoFum. Goto Options/GPS. Select COM6 (the same, as selected in GPS applet in the "Programs" tab). Enjoy.
Devices randomly wakes up if BlueTooth is on: this is well known issue and nobody is working on it. Look at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=267389 If it is a problem for you, look for something that can lock device after WakeUp. For example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=261277

G-sensor drive with whitelist in a CAB...exists it?

Hi friends.
I would use my HD with ONLY G-sensor without external application. Now i have saw that Dutty 3.9 has a Whitelist list in registry editor that allow to rotate applications witouth external programs.
Now i want to know if exists an application that install this new g-sensor drive and whitelist automatically.
Good evening.

That doesn't make any sense. The g sensor just returns some data, which can be accessed through the sensor sdk. But you can't see this data (and especially use it) without an application that uses it ?
I think he means he wants something that will automatically set up the whitelist..
G-config is a great prog for that..
For G-Sensor , You Can Use This File .
This File Is Very Good , And Work Correctly For Me .
This File Make About 50 Whitelist And Module For You , And Active G-Sensor For Them .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3958734&postcount=100
using the g-sensor is still not the best idea...i suggest to use change screen or flip it. The g-sensor has one killer issue...if the sensor ist aktivated the dialer will rotate too...which will lead to major issues. I had to start my device a couple of times because it does not work like it should...even with the latest rhodium dialer (which supports landscape mode), it does not work 100%.

Issue with Mobile Shell

Had the problem with version 3.5.1 and it continues with 3.5.2. I don't have the fade out in 3d message view and in the carousel the reflection is no longer there. I have the advance config, sk tools and tnyynt SD TuneUP. I will add that I did have the reflection when i first installed it and cannot remember when it disappeared. I assume when I performed the tweak some setting got changed so if any of you out there know what this might be then let me know.
Gonna bump this I am still having the problem
In the Windows folder of your device there is a file called ModelName.txt. In it is written X1a or X1i. Copy the file to another location (for example your storage card) and change the text in the file to anything else. Afterwards you have to replace the old file in the Windows folder with the adapted file. After you have replaced the file the 3d acceleration will be available in the SPB Mobile Shell settings. But be careful, activating 3d acceleration does not work well together with the panel manager. In fact using the panel manager (starting the panels selection screen by pressing the panel button) freezes your phone. The only solution for this is to close SPB Mobile Shell before you use the panel interface to switch to another panel.
Yeah, in that case forget it. It's not exactly important that I see the reflections. I will say this for the new mobile shell 3.5.5 it is faster then the previous version.
Thanks for the tip, but you have to be careful. I did this and soft reset then all of a sudden my passcode didn't work. Must've screwed up some authentication key. I had to hard reset. I didn't try it again as it gave me the excuse I needed to try a custom ROM. I'd recommend disabling your passcode before attempting to do this.

I'm sorry to hear that you had problems with this process. But I used this method with two Xperias and I have never had any issues at all.

Enable screen rotation Windows 7

Hello I am trying to figure out how to unlock screen rotation and reporting here about any progress on Windows 7 with intel GMA945/950
Note: many other users reporting on web that rotation is disabled on theirs intel GMA chipsets and different hardware.
This article is directly linked with Gsensor article that permits display rotation using integrated g-sensor on our devices (WinXp only right now).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=673942
After a bit of searching in .inf file seems that Shift's driver lacks some configuration so I am using Gigabyte m912 drivers (v.8.15.10.1930) you can find it by the link above
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Notebook/Driver_DownloadFile.aspx?FileType=Driver&FileID=4489
Then I've found this article and merged missing registry keys
http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/133851-post30.html
Unfortunately with no positive results so far.
I will continue my tests,if any other will join please report here your results.
Keep trying!
Im not surprised to see the intel graphics drivers at fault. The HiRes>LowRes aero turn off isn't HTC's problem its the Intel drivers only their control panel can switch back without turning aero off everything else including Windows and the API to change resolution experiences the problem above.
Thanks for providing the alternate drivers ill take a look aswell.
