Flashing Factory Unlocked Firmware Possible? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Hi, I'm coming to you guys with another question. Being that we cannot downgrade the S6 edge from 5.1.1 would it be possible to flash the International variant firmware onto G925A? I'm trying to possibly get root and and flash a new rom but it's not looking likely anytime soon.

no no no

Hello All
I'm new with this phone and I want to update it to 4.4, currently is running 4.3 but until now I can find a way to flash the 4.4 rom, maybe my bootloader is locked because odin don't let me flash it, also i'm looking for a debranded version

Your bootloader is locked, I'm guessing you're on UBUBML3 firmware. The only way you can update (or install any other firmware for that matter) is to get official firmware for your pone that has been signed by Samsung. The AT&T 4.4.2 update will not work on your phone unfortunately, so you're going to have to get the update directly from Telcel.

Can anyone tell me if there is a specific kernel that needs to be flashed along with custom roms when running on Mexican carrier Telcel??

Non T-Mobile SM-920T ?

I've just purchased a new S6 with the same model number as the T-Mobile version but it's unlocked and unbranded. Does anyone else have this phone and when do you think it may get marshmallow?
www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-galaxy-s6-4g-with-32gb-memory-cell-phone-unlocked-black/4667100.p?id=1219794340074&skuId=4667100
You will get the update anyday now. It would be awsome if you could get a system dump for that firmware youre running. we could reallydo some development witg that and be able to get marshmallow along with you.
I have the same phone, also purchased unlocked though Best Buy. Will we be getting a separate software update from T-Mobile? Once released, how can I get that system dump? I can see how it would be usefull for development. Haven't rooted because I don't want to trip knox and loose warranty. Impatiently waiting on the update. Didn't know if I had to wait for the T-Mobile update to roll out first.
To my knowledge our phone is just a different CSC under the G920T variant... For G920F, which is the international version, mostly European, different CSCs mean different regions and/or carriers. Likewise, for G920T, there are two CSCs: TMO (which is T-Mobile) and XAR (which is our bloatware-free version). That said, if the TMO firmware comes out first, we'll be able to flash it manually with Odin but we'll not receive OTA. The downside is that we'll have to bear with the bloatware until we flash back to the XAR Marshmallow after it's released. As for Knox, as long as we're flashing official stock firmwares from Samsung Knox won't be tripped.

Is it safe to flash Stock ROM on an unlocked Tab S2?

I have just got a pre-owned Tab S2 T817W which is a Canadian version from Bell Canada.
It has been unlocked and I can put in another carrier's SIM card and use it.
However, it is in stock 5.1.1 stock ROM and I want to upgrade to the latest Marshmallow.
My questions are:
1) If I flash the latest ROM from Bell for this T817W, will the ROM lock it back to Bell only?
2) Can I flash other carrier's ROM, eg T817A (for ATT) T817V (for Verizon) etc?
3) Do I need to root it before upgrading if i want to have root in Marshmallow?
(EDITed: I found the answers to the questions myself. I was able to download a Marshmallow firmware for Canada instead for Carrier specific from Sammobile. Everything works as I have wished for, it is still unlocked, fingerprint detection works better and the tab even runs faster.)

Hello All
I have unlocked bootloader and rooted my P9, but have recentley seen an OTA come through to turn my current version to B160.
I understand that I need to flash a stock Rom in it's entirety (re-lock BL and lose root) before I can proceed with the OTA?
The issue I have now is that my current build number does not appear to be available anywhere as a stock rom. I am in the UK and with the 'Three' network.
If anyone can point me to the stock ROM for my build or can recommend another stock Rom to flash that will work without issues, I'd very much appreciate it? :good:

[Help] Updating to Marshmallow from 5.1.1 (g900aucu4coi5) stock rom & no root

I just purchased a Galaxy S5 unlocked, but its an at&t model (g900a, shows at&t logo on boot, has at&t bloatware). I live in New Zealand so I can not use an at&t sim and update to the latest firmware (ph4?). Im stuck on g900aucu4coi5 and I want to update, and I have found a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/galaxy-s5-android-version-6-0-1-t3419016
Can I just flash ph4 with odin 3.11.1 and I will be fine? No chance of brick or tripping knox (assuming i follow instructions correctly)? Also is there a way I can debrand my s5 and give it a stock s5 rom w/out the at&t crap without tripping knox?
This may seem like a noob question but I have followed instructions to the letter while flashing roms on a galaxy trend plus and a galaxy y duos, and encountered problems down the road which led to bootloops. I assume this was because the tools made for them were still in beta for these devices were not popular, but I still want to be safe and keep my new s5 alive.
Thx

You should be able to go up to PH4 using ODIN no problem.
And about the bloatware... As soon as we find a way to root or preroot Marshmallow we'll probably get some debloated ROMs up, but first we have to find a way to preroot (I'm working on it but it's taking the back burner for a bit while I work on other ROMs so anyone is welcome to give it a try)

Yes, and no. It updated, started overheating and the battery caught fire. Rip.
I'm in the same boat as I have an ATT S5 with Lollipop and tried the above method w/Odin and it is now a brick, stuck on the ATT logo.
Are there any working accessible sources fore the ATT stock Firmware for Lollipop in order to rollback this MM update? I've been looking and have found none.
