Stock Droid Turbo Boot Animation and Sounds - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Themes and Apps

Just in case anyone wanted these, here are flashable zips of the stock boot animation and sounds (ringtones, alarms, alerts, etc.). Just flash with TWRP.
Boot animation (Doesn't work on CM-based roms): https://mega.nz/#!7x51yLSY!XpHQIcp4xWeoczQHJOZMh5kXhMIGSMDG8nMHEdIx7yA
Sounds: https://mega.nz/#!ehAWUTCJ!o9HzSZkrsfsTM5e88TH9Kki8uW0CNi-KqapQw-mNjzs

Does the stock boot animation work in cm12.1 wasn't it an mp4?

Oops. I guess it doesn't work on CM12.1

It is very sad to hear that it could no be used in CM (CM boot anim is much worse than stock Droid Turbo anim for my taste).
Is there any chance that someone would port it to CM based roms (CM13 if exact)? If not, then could someone explain what is the fundamental difference in formats for stock and CM boot animations?

@TheSt33v. You wouldn't happen to still have a copy of the sound zip would you. I deleted the copy I had by mistake and the links in the OP no longer work.

Sorry for taking so long. Here are the sounds.

These are not TWRP flashable. Just extract the contents of the zip to /system/media/audio if you want to have all of the stock sounds where they should be. If you can't handle that and you need it to be TWRP flashable, let me know.

Thank you. Installing them won't be a problem.

Could I possibly get the animation .zip? It appears to have been removed. Trying to make my 8.1 installation look "stock". Thank you!

[MOD] Aperture Science boot & shutdown

So... I got bored, and decided to make a custom boot animation/sound & shutdown animation/sound based on one of my favorite video games Portal.
Then I decided that having it as a CWM update would be so much easier if people wanted to use it. So, for everyone who wants to try it out... http://hardcorepooka.com/android/ApertureScienceUpdate.zip
Flash the update through CWM...
1. Choose "install zip from sdcard"
2. Choose "choose zip from sdcard"
3. Select ApertureScienceUpdate.zip
4. Choose yes.
5. Enjoy your new startup/shutdown
Keep in mind you'll need a kernel that supports bootanimation.zips for the boot animation to work. The rest will work without such a kernel.
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if you brick your phone, burn down your house, or any other bad stuff that might happen. You do this at your own risk. I and others have tested this and it works fine for us. Your mileage may vary.
Updated: Also, I remade the boot animation in white as well.... http://hardcorepooka.com/android/white-bootanimation.zip
This is just the boot animation .zip, no sound, no shutdown animation.
Aw, the file is no longer hosted
Can anyone post another link to it?

it's available within Rom Manager, under SonofSkywalker3's Blackhole custom ROM
The link above doesn't work, and I have cheapo Rom Manager... can someone fix the link?
Try PMing Pooka. I tried downloading it from Rom Manager but got a "Download error"
I installed this, and now when I flash a new boot/shutdown animation the aperture science logo still shows up at the end of the shutdown animation. The boot animation works perfectly though. Any idea how to fix this? I've flashed a deletebootani.zip, but that didn't seem to fix it either.

Original link updated. Added white boot animation as well. Sorry guys, been away from XDA for a while.
HTC Aria support?
Is it possible I could install this on my Aria with the Liberated FR008 ROM? Thanks!
P.s. I was thinking of installing it manually and doing it through Root Explorer so I could save my originial boot animation.

The white one you can install manually. The CWM update you can just extract the boot animation out of and install manually.

You need to remove the files from /system/media/video/shutdown
The problem is that my shutdown animation has more frames than whatever shutdown ani you have replaced it with.

Which one? The white one you just move the zip to /data/local/bootanimation.zip
For the orange one you need to open up the update zip and remove the bootanimation.zip from it, then move it to /data/local/
Where is the boot and lockscreen shown in this utube vid with the sound ect.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg23Tvkjonc
It kicks butt and I so want it!
Ok got the boot screen to work but my phone just boots to fast for it to have time to play lol sound and everything works and I checked it as I turned off the phone and it played sound and animation, the only thing missing is the lockscreen from the vid anyone know where to get it?
Lockscreen is from the theme I had at the time... Frost's Remix NexTheme I believe... should be somewhere in this forum.

Thanks! very much for the help
Would these work on a Nexus One or Desire HD, sound included?

possible to change initial boot logo?

the note's initial boot logo is ugly as hell. I'm talking about the one that says "Galaxy Note GT7000" or whatever. Is it possible to change that to something else after rooting?
You need to root your Note and then use an app like ROM Toolbox PRO
After root put the bootanimation zip file in data/media and reboot..voila

I'm not talking about the samsung animated boot screen, but the text that comes before that....rom toolbox can do that? i think what you(sumeshd) are saying is just the animation

Is it possible to install a boot animation I created with this toolbox, or is it just a set of boot animations I can choose from?

Thanks for the reply, but I think you got me wrong; I already made my personal bootanimation but I want to know how to install it from ROM Toolbox Pro as I am on stock ROM and replacing the bootanimation.zip files don't work.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=293IJ_lAB_8
hope it helps
Just rename ur boot animation zip to
bootanimation.zip and check it is a signed zip file by opening it with win RAR
it must show Signed on Right side pane in winRAR
put bootanimation.zip in /system/media
BINGO u are done now just reboot.
ive tried it and diily i do it
lemme know if u hav any problems
Stock ROM guys, stock ROM, we are looking for a way to modify the bootanimation on stock rom.
On custom ROMs it is very easy, we already got that.

(Boot Animation) Stock Android 3.2 Pulsing Moto Logo

Here's the original, untouched Boot Animation from Xoom Android 3.2.
Not modified in any way, extracted from the android 3.2 ota update.
I've tried it while running EOS4 v203 for wing ray, and works fine (placed in system/media).
Thought there might be a few other out there that might like the original moto boot animation.
note: attached zip is not flashable, its the raw boot animation.zip file, so don't try to flash it via recovery.
added gif animated version, just click on image and it should illustrate the animation.
Very nice, using it right now
That's nice, do I need my xoom to be rooted to use this?

As far as i know, yes. It will need to go into /System/Media/ , which you'll need root privelage to write to, and set permission.

Check out this thread the first post has the Samsung boot and down animations as well as sounds all in individual flashable zips ready for S6 and edge twrp (or cwm) and also a complete all in one pack of stock (samsung) animations and sounds zip.
There is also an empty .ogg file in zip format to remove the boot sound if your prefer.
also a few others pre converted custom animations and you can also request any boot animation to be converted from standard zips to Samsung compatible zips. Or even request new ones if you have any good ideas.

Any Way To Get Back Original Moto G5S Plus Boot Animation After Flashing A ROM

Hi Guys,
Is there any way to put back the original Motorola / Lenovo bootup animation after flashing a custom ROM? I liked the original boot animation but prefer using a custom ROM on my phone. Is this possible?

As long as your rooted grab any bootanimation.zip file and place it in system/media. Delete the one that is currently there or rename it to .bak instead of .zip. Change the permissions to rw/r/r then reboot. Profit.

I tried this. It didn't work. It just skips the boot animation all-together.

Can someone please upload the original Moto boot animation on a format that can be simply flashed in TWRP? Thanks.
Moto uses a video MP4 file for bootanimation, traditional custom roms uses a sets of images played in a specific frame rate.
