What screen protectors do you recommend? - Moto G 2015 Accessories

Hi, I've bought recently this phone and wanted a sturdy screen, preferably a glass tempered one but I've got no idea what brands to go for or if those that you can buy cheap on ebay are enough. I'm a bit clumsy so the possiblity of it slipping out of my hand by accident and falling on its screen is there. If anyone can give some input based on experiences, that'd be great.

Cheap plastic ones from amazon always seem to work fine on all my devices.. When they get scratched I have no issues throwing on a new one.
They are cheap but keep the screen flawless

hi, i am using nillkin H+, i bought it from amazon
Things i liked in this Nillkin :
1) my friends tempered glasses catches scratches, fades after long time use (4 months) and makes screen unusable in rain, but as nillkin is having real nano coating it helps me to operate my phone even in rain with out much problem
2) i bought a tempered glass before worth 270inr from ebay it was good to look, but when i was about to remove it as its not having Nano coating on it, then i observed that it cracked and formed small powder fragments on edges when i tried to remove it with hard plastic :silly:
later i installed nillkin, had to remove this also as i didnt manage to fit it perfectly on my screen.. i used the same hard plastic, this time Nillkin tempered didnt break nor atleast formed any tiny fragments, i lifted it and set again with out any problem
these are my observing on my tempered glass

I bought a tempered glass one for around $3 on eBay, haven't gotten it yet. I don't know if the more expensive ones are better, but better can mean 2 things. Either that it's stronger, so won't break easily; or that it protects the phone better. I doubt one will protect the phone more than the other.

I do the same thing. No problems yet.

I bought a nillkin H+ but removed it after a while because the phone screen is much less oleophobic. With the screen protector on, the fingerprints were extremely annoying, at least on my sample.

So can anyone recommend a really good high quality glass screen protector without flaws? If there is none then i'll order motorola official flip shell...

The $3 ones on eBay don't have flaws. I have one and I know other people who have them, no one has any problems with them. Just first learn how to put it on so you don't break it.

Undersized
I bought a tempered glass one from an online (no brand). It's undersized, about 1.5mm all around. Probably useful to allow a case to grip the front edge, but the description didn't say so. I feel cheated, but for the price it'll do.
My previous tempered glass ones (branded) were excellent protection, and felt better on my finger than the plastic ones.
[edit] I forgot to say, the shape is one with cut-out north of the top speaker, rather than the others I've seen with speaker hole.

Moto G Premium Quality Screen Protector is Anti Glare Matte edition in my recommendation.
it Protects your device from scratches & dust. Easy to Apply , Fits perfectly and requires no cutting. Comes with a cleaning cloth and application card. Easily removable with no sticky residue or marks

Tempered glass screen protector from amazon
I've been using a SPARIN tempered glass screen protector since I got my moto g in August. (It's about $8 on amazon; unfortunately I can't post a link, but it should be easy to find)
I've managed to crack it in at least 8 places (my phone falls a lot), but it hasn't picked up any scratches yet, and it's protected the actual glass underneath. If you're even a little proficient at holding things, it should be fine.

Snakehive protector
I've only had it a few days, but I bought a Snakehive tempered glass protector for my new G3, from their Amazon store. Very pleased so far. It has cutouts for the mouthpiece at the bottom and for the earpiece, light sensor and camera at the top, although at the top it doesn't surround them for some reason, but that's only a couple of milimetres uncovered. It was a breeze to put on when compared to film protectors. I laid it over the mouthpiece and it simply eased itself into place over the rest of the screen. Seems a bargain at the current £3.95.
I'm wanting to get the flip down case from Snakehive too, assuming they get more stock in.

First day of smartphone, yes good idea to have a screen protection. But now with gorilla glass, useless.
It's my point of view.

I used and have a Mr shield or something like that from Amazon super easy too install i've had no bubbles when placing it on the phone also bought a case where there was enough space that should it fall on the screen side it's not touching the floor I've dropped my phone about 5 times over the course of a year. Took off the case and replaced the screen protector and it still looks like brand new minus where I've blindly inserted the USB cord.

10 days to 1 year since i purchased the device . never used any screen protector and been 8 month since i didnt use any case either.
no scratches

Yeah, just acquired this phone from roommate, and he hasn't used any screen protectors either. Otterbox commuter covering it but that's it. No scratches.

my phone has some minor scuffs and little bend on bottom right corner but thats coz the phone fell from above 5 feet . must say the build quality is very solid

Honestly, you just don't need them these days. Had my G3 6 months, not a single scratch and I am hardly careful with it, gets thrown in pocket with keys and lose change, and dropped often because I am clumsy. Plenty of dents along the bezel but screen as good as new.

[Q] Gorilla Glass = who said its unscratchable!?

Hey y'all
i have an at&t Samsung Captivate,
its really a great phone,i also use an Samsung Wave which has the same
Spec and the same glass.
i have the Captivate for 2 days and allready have scratches, really tiny one's.
i used the Samsung Wave for 6 month's and dont have 1 scratch at all!
how can it be?? the same glass (the Wave's glass feel's much more thicker then the Captivate's glass)
buy a cheap screen protector on ebay if you do care ...
I don't think that anyone said it was 'unscratchable'. If they did, they don't know what they were talking about, I mean Corning doesn't even claim that:
http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/characteristics
It is more resistant to large scratches and pitting because it's produced more like a ceramic composite than soda glass.
Little scratches won't impact functionality, but I'm surprised people don't use cases and screen protectors these days. I have a full body ZAGG AND an Otterbox Commuter on mine. I find even the silicone cases can rub the finish off of phones a little bit.
The thickness of the glass won't affect how well it resists scratching. It should help prevent it from cracking though.

I beat the living crap out of my phone when its in my pocket (change, keys, etc..) and my screen is fine. You putting it in your pocket with sand paper or something?
And I agree this thing is a bit slippery if it doesn't have a case on it.. but the one I had was too bulky.
I don't have a screen protector, I don't have a case. Had a screen protector, it was alright, but I removed it; prefer the feel of the naked glass. I would not even consider destroying the sleekness of my phone by putting it in some gross case.
I have a pocket that's dedicated to my phone. I don't drop it. I clean the screen with a fog of breath on the left shoulder of whatever sweatshirt I'm wearing. It has no scratches and is pure as hell.
My general theory is that if you don't want to treat your phone well and want it jangling around in backpacks, laptop cases and/or and pockets full of junk, by all means cover it up. Otherwise, treat it well and you won't have to worry.
just orderd ZAGG screen protector (10$) and Otterbox (13$) for the Captivate via Ebay
hope it works...

nothing...just sitting in my pocket without any sharp thingys :\
I have had 2 captivates. One with a full Zagg which covers every inch of the phone with clear plastic of some kind, and just the screen protector on the other.
I have ORD (Obsessive Romming Disease and can be found on this site if you need to admit your disorder, lmao) and the full skin started peeling off because I was taking it out of my case so much. The screen protector itself is not completely smooth or very slick, but it seems that small scratches seem to repair themselves. I am a pipefitter so that should tell you how rough I am on phones hanging on my pocket everyday. weld splatter, dust, dirt, scrapes, rolled over on, so it must be a tough phone. I had to replace the other one because of the random shutdown issue of Captivates made before November.
My Captivate is so fast I need a seatbelt!!!

screen protectors

who's using them? i horribly failed at putting one on today (a free one that came with my case..looked crappy though with tons of bubbles between the 3 layers before i even put it on lol) but yeah, i'm real bad at putting protectors on tablets because it kept coming out crooked because of that damn home button etc.
anyway, i've got a pack of 5 coming in the mail sometime this week, and i'm wondering if i should even bother attempting again, or just use it naked. it feels so good without a protector, but i'm afraid of scratching the screen. i've been using screen protectors since 2011 with my HTC Rezound, so idk what to do. i always end up with tiny scratches on my protectors, so i'm thinking i'll end up scratching the screen..

Put one on but spend at least 10 bucks for a decent one. Illunisheild thats the one I got from amazon for the 8.4 its pretty good.
I got these:

I always put screen protectors on all of my phones and tablets. I've just put one on my Tab S 8.4, had a few dusts under the protector. usually I would rip it out and try again, but I thought not today! Because fortunately the screen protector came with some stickers to help get rid of the dust.
Happy to say it is dust and bubble free now. Although it is not one of those fancy screen protectors, just a cheap one called elec shield.
invisible shield is the best.

I ordered these from Amazon as well. Should be in today.
I'll give it a try and see if I like it. Probably gonna feel weird at first though.
I too would like to buy one. I asked ismooth on twitter but they are not gonna make one for the tab S (I have one for my note 3 and it's just perfect).
I think I'm gonna go Invisibleshield. It's not cheap but I've only heard good things about their products :good:
anyone have any tricks as to how to get it on nice and straight on the tablets? I'm bad at tablets for protectors but decent at phones. I saw one idea where you place it down on the screen then tape the sides like a hinge, then you flip it over, peel it off, and just flip it back and lay it on the tablet and it should line up perfectly. wonder if it works.

That's exactly what I did. Works perfectly. The screen protector I bought even came with the positioning tape and stickers for dust removal. But you can just use Scotch tapes.
Mr shield
I have used many different screen protector products. I like spigen and I just installed the Mr shield ones. The are two finishes. Clear and matte. The matte finish cuts a lot of glare but impacts out door viewing. I now have the clear and love it. No bubbles. I have several videos on screen protectors that show tips on install . Herr is my initial install http://youtu.be/NHzarYjTtzE

sweet! i'll give it a try when they come in
Putting on a screen protector reminds one of what a dirty filthy planet we live on. There is dust EVERYWHERE. One tried and true method is to run a hot shower in your bathroom for 10 minutes with the door closed until the room steams up. This pulls all of the airborne dust from the air. Turn the shower off, and use the tape hinge method to apply the protector.
Despite your best efforts you are likely to STILL get that ONE DAMNED PIECE OF DUST FROM HELL that manages to somehow get on the screen. If that happens, DO NOT TRY TO PEEL THE PROTECTOR UP FROM THE EDGE because if you bend it at all it will never seat again properly and you'll have a bubble that won't go away. Use tape to stick to the outside near the corner and gently lift that way, then use another piece of tape to grab the dust particle.
One negative of putting a screen protector on a tablet this size. Unless the protector is tempered glass, you are likely to feel a bit of drag as you swipe the screen - no plastic will ever feel as smooth as glass - and because the area is larger than your phone, you'll notice the resistance more. Also, unless the screen protector has an oleophobic coating, it will be harder to clean greasy fingerprints of it than from glass. Last point, most screen protectors are actually softer than glass so you are likely to get it pretty scratched up which, while saving your glass, leaves you with a scratched up viewing surface you have to look at. The alternative is to buy a screen protector with a hardness of 9 or above with an oleophobic coating but those tend to be a lot more expensive.
Get a pack of 3 or more if you can. You WILL screw it up a few times and you WILL want to replace them occasionally as they get scratched up pretty easily depending upon how anal you are about such things.
good advice, thanks! but do you guys think this thing needs one in the end? I know gorilla glass is pretty soft and scratches easily so idk..

I don't believe this tablet has Gorilla Glass, at least I don't believe the specs say so (could be wrong?). So yes, it could scratch easily. You can try and be careful but all takes is a tiny bit of grit on your finger, stylus or wiping cloth and you are done, Gorilla Glass or no.
Actually you know, skip the steamy bathroom. Just do it in a dry room but use a strip of masking tape and screen until every bit of dust is gone. Also remember, after you place the protector on the screen with the taped hinge, make sure you clean the screen again because it will get dust on it from the bottom of the protector.
Mr Shield makes very good inexpensive protectors.

Why put a cheap screen protector on a premium device like the tab s. The best deserves the best or better. my screen protector cost 2 for 13 and a tempered glass on is on its way for $18. You cant even tell there on when installed correct.

Be very careful with the tempered glass protector. NEVER left it up by the edges - use tape. They bend VERY easily and once bent will never lay down flat properly again. Every tempered glass protector I've ever used developed sealing problems along the edges, especially near the home button. YMMV but that is my experience.
There aren't good selection of screen protectors in the UK. Looked in Amazon, Ebay, Google, nothing with quality. So I only got the Elec shield.
I'd get tempered glass if I could, but as long as I screen is protected for now, then I'm happy enough.

[Review] Zerolemon Ultra Glass Armor 9H | Post All Reviews Here!!!

I have been asked by @ZEROLEMON_OFFICIAL to start a thread for the purpose of posting reviews of their Ultra Glass Armor 9H tempered glass screen protectors for the HTC M8.

My review is as follows:
I received my tempered glass screen protector in the mail the other day. Everything was neatly packaged and included everything to install the screen protector. The wording of the instructions on how to install the screen protector was a bit confusing, but I've used a screen protector before so I knew how to install one. The only real issue I had was getting the protective film off the sticky side of the screen protector itself. The pull tab-style sticker came right off but the film itself remained, so I had to use a fingernail to pick at the edge of the film and then finally remove it. The screen protector went right on and looks great. I've only noticed a couple of issues, those being the screen protector seems to have a bit more glare than the actual screen of the phone, but I didn't find this to be an issue when viewing the phone in various lighting conditions. Also, it does seem to pick up dust fairly quickly. Overall, for the price you'd pay at an online store like Amazon, I don't think you'll find a better value tempered glass screen protector. Pick one up for yourself and see:good:
Amazon currently has them for $8.99.

Thanks for your feedback. The pull tab-style sticker should be able to stick on the film so the film will be easy to peel off. Maybe you are just unlucky, sorry. Below is the revised version of instruction which will be applied to the new batch.
1.Please wipe off all fingerprints and oil stains from the screen with the included alcohol swab. Wipe the screen with the included microfiber cloth for drying.
2.Place phone on flat surface with screen facing up. Peel the first plastic adhesive off and align the screen protector edge with the phone's edge.
3.Gently place the screen protector on the screen. The screen protector will automatically adhere to the surface of the screen.
4. If there are bubbles between the screen protector and the phone, please use a flat card to gently push out the bubbles to the edge of the phone.
5. Installation complete.
Those instructions are much better:good:
OMG INCREDIBLE!! Of all the shields I have had, this is surely my last from anyone. I am sticking to Zerolemon from now on. My other shields was fingerprint magnets, not this one. Easy to put on, and thinner than any other shield. Here is my 5 Star review from Amazon:
""I got the shield today, it was a snap to install. Thinner than my Chinese shield, and surprisingly almost fingerprint proof. The one thing I hated about my last shield was it attracted all my fingerprints. I always was cleaning it. But this one doesn't seem to even know my fingers even touched it. I can see the prints after heavy use, but so easy to clean, and barely visible, it is remarkable. This has got to be the best shield out there. And I have had one on all my phones. But now, this is probably going to be the only one I will have in the future. It's like touching the glass without any shield. Only con is that it seems to attract dust. But given that it is so invisible to the sight and touch a little POOF and no dust at all, I think it is static, because it is new, and will soon wear off. But if you need a shield, heck, YOU DO NEED A SHIELD!! This is the one to buy...""
This has attracted my attention. It is the best one I have ever had on any of my phones. (Now if you can make those camera lens covers from this material, I would be extremely happy)
I received mine on Saturday. Beautiful packaging. The instructions where a bit on the small side, but its pretty self explanatory. The application went well enough, but keep in mind that this glass seems to be cut exactly the same size as the glass on the M8. So when you start to apply it make sure it starts exactly where it does on the phone. If you are even a little pulled away from the start of the glass on the opposite side of the glass it wont stick down because it will be slightly on the speaker grill. After getting that straightened out it looks incredible. For the price you cant go wrong.
Anyone who knows how to take care of a phone knows you need a screen protector.
Scratch proof glass just isn't after enough time has passed. But there's a reason manufacturers stick with glass for screens. It's tactile, your finger glides over it with silky precision. It gives the phone a solid and dependable touch to it. A solid reassurance. Most importantly, glass gives the best transmission of light from the underlying pixels so it makes the display look vibrant.
Then you have to slap some cheap plastic on top of it, This was far easy to apply to the phone. The glass and the phone join together like magic, after you have aliened it over the phone the two bond together, the Best part is there isn't a bubble beneath it, which I can't stand in plastic screens.
This is a revolutionary product. I love it. There are only a few cons to having this is an ever so slight increase in thickness in your phone. Plastic screen protectors are negligibly thick but glass has to be a bit thicker to be effective. Personally, I like the added thickness, modern phones are, to me, increasingly flimsy feeling. This gives it a bit more substance (My case still fits without issues as-well). I have also found 2 out of 4 corners are a little sharp and could of been slightly more rounded.
Overall this is one amazing screen protector and I look forward to showing it off on my phone.
How many taken part in this thread actually paid for theirs? Given that ZeroLemon were offering free units in return for reviews. It's hard to determine genuine positives from this thread. Has anyone compared this product to the others such as Nillkin (arguably best tempered screen protector), Mime, Zagg etc.

I have had the Nilkin on my M8, saved the screen when it fell on the floor when I was in the doctors office. But it was thicker, and always showed my fingerprints. This screen (Even though I didn't pay for it) is the best I have had. I have had tempered glass on my screens for a couple years, almost always the cheap ones from China that takes 6+ weeks to get here. This one is local and cost is similar, would I have bought it? I don't normally shop Amazon, so unless it was on eBay I probably would not, unless I seen it on someones device, or at least heard good news about it. I didn't even know that the glass resist fingerprints. Would I but another? Yep... I have already showed it to a friend, and she is going to get her M8 this weekend and order this shield. Because it is a lot better than the one on her M7. So even though you might think that the review is biased because it was free, it isn't. It is a good shield and not bad on the price either.... :good:
I got mine in the mail today.
1. It is awesome. It covers the entire glass portion of the front of the phone. Not just the active LCD area.
2. It is extremely smooth. This makes it feel as if it is not there.
3. It's oleophobic coating is superb. Haven't seen a single finger print.
4. It is extremely clear, I cannot tell it is there.
5. I have it paired with the Otter box symmetry case and feel as if my phone has the ultimate protection.
6. The only draw back was during the installation I kept getting a raised corner. This was because Tue glass is cut to very small tolerances and matches the M8's screen perfectly. I had to slow down and focus on what I was doing.
All in all I am pretty happy with it and will be buying a second one to keep as a backup. I see this protector lasting the life of phone and keeping the resale value in since the screen will be in perfect condition whenever it is peeled off.

I understand your concern. We are sending free samples in exchange for an honest review. We do not send samples to everyone, only legit users. You guys are welcome to compare our screen protector with other brands.
I have received my tempered glass protector from Zerolemon. Before I start I'll say that it was sent for review on condition that I review it. They told me to make an honest review, and never set any guidelines which leaves me to do and say whatever I'd like. I am in no way obliged to give a good review as they have nothing on me and have not told me otherwise.
The protector arrived in excellent, eco-friendly packaging that was simplistic yet effective in explaining what the product is and how to install it. Right away I could tell that the glass protector was of good quality and not simply a Chinese knock-off. I have used dozens of protectors including Spigen's $40.00 Nano slim, and this is comparable, if not better given the price.
The protector installed without a hassle, and aligned IDENTICALLY with my screen. The cut-out is perfect unlike other protectors, and offers maximum coverage with no exposed areas of the screen.
Included in the package are an anti-bacterial wipe and cloth to make sure you screen is very clean before installation. Once done, you take off the back film from the glass protector and simply let it adhere to the screen of your M8.
Again, this review was is in no way dictated by ZeroLemon, and I could of written anything I wanted. In fact, I already had another tempered glass protector installed so I didn't even need a 'free sample'.
I give this product a 10/10 simply because it's of top quality, and for the price, you cannot beat it.
I have recently received an ultra glass 9h tempered glass screen protector from zerolemon about a week ago. Upon first glance the packaging is well put together with the screen protector placed securely inside. The packaging comes with the tempered glass protector, a microfiber cloth, and an alcohol wipe to clean the screen off. The directions can be kind of confusing if you have never applied a screen protector or a glass screen protector before as they seem to be worded weird. If you apply to protector properly it looks extremely nice and feels as if there were no protector on it. The one thing I do not like about this glass protector is that it is a little on the thick side. With a case on the phone thou you don’t really notice how thick it is, but I do not use a case so I can feel the thickness of the protector. Without the case I need to be more careful when I put it and pull it out of my pocket to make sure that it doesn’t peel off or catch on the inside of my pocket. I have also noticed that this protector can have a little bit of glare in direct sunlight or light unlike the screen with no protector on it but it’s not that bad. All in all this a fantastic screen protector and for $8.99 you can’t really beat the price for any other screen protector, especially a glass protector. I would recommend this protector to anyone who wants to get a glass protector and give it shot!
What is the thickness of the protector?

Ok, i was normally running naked since i've had my m8 and got a .10 cent chine film screen protector for a while but it fell off on one of my trips to the beach. I contacted zerolemon to inquire upon the free product.
Fast forward a week and i got it 3 days ago. Putting it on was a snap, its very precise with its cuts. My crappy chinese case was very close to not fitting but it did with a little adjusting.
Now yesterday at santa cruz my girlfriend put our phones on trunk lid area while we grabbed our stuff. She grabbed her phone and we started closing the lid and foolishly we slammed the trunk 2 times. i eventually notices my phone and immediately freaked out, but fortunately the only cracks was 3 in diff areas, and my actual screen was unharmed. If it wasn't for this product i would have a cracked phone right now and im still rocking my slightly cracked glass armor until i order a new one soon.
I'm giving this screen 10/10 across everything just for saving my ass. I highly reccomend this screen
Now that is a test I don't want to try. LoL
Why are there over a dozen phony 5 Star reviews posted on Amazon?

Just place cards, not really phony. If you wanted to test it out free, then you need to review it, good or bad. But so we was ask to post a temp review on there till we get the screen and check it out. Once it is checked out, the tester can go back and edit his review to show what he/she feels about it.

Unbelievable. A "temp" review? Why not let people review the item after they actually use it, instead of telling people to leave 5 star reviews for an item they don't even have yet?

Without a screen protector

Do any of you guys use the op3t with no sp? Does it last in a pocket full of keys
I've used mine without a screen protector for a few months now without a problem. Whiles keys shouldn't scratch gorilla glass in theory, it will probably mark up the oleophobic coating on the glass. I would not recommend keeping the phone in the same compartment as keys.

A thin polycarbonate case, this one to be specific.
I've been using one of my OP3T without a screen protector for a few months now and all is well! =) I'm using a case similar to the one above. My latest one came with a free gel case, but I already bought another polycarbonate case and I wouldn't want the gel one anyway cause you can see all the data through it.
I use a film protector after using my 3t for a few weeks very scratched (minor) can notice massively on certain angles .

That is a useful and informative point. It explains why folks (myself included) have noted scratches on Gorilla Glass screens, even though it is supposed be highly scratch resistant.
Personally I've gone back and forth on using a screen protector. Used them religiously for years, having owned smartphones since the old days when most smartphones did not even have Gorilla Glass, and scratches were almost inevitable if you didn't use a protector. Then on my last phone (HTC M8) I actually bought a protector, but didn't get around to putting it on (the appearance of young children in my life having led to massive procrastination of such things!). The screen seemed fine with no protector, and I ended up just leaving it that way. Going on 3 years, and that phone is still fine; although there are some very faint scratches.
On the other hand, my work makes me carry an iPhone (in addition to my personal device). I have an iPhone 6 that got a huge gouge on the GG screen about 2 weeks after receiving it. Admittedly, I don't give a crap about this phone, and often toss the phone in my pocket with keys, in my bag, etc.
So I guess the short story, is that you can go for years without a scratch (as many do). But you can also get a scratch at any time. It's that latter situation, where you end up regretting it, and wish you had a protector. In the end, it's really a judgment call.
My 3T came with a plastic protector already installed. Some folks have reported having a tempered glass protector. I'll probably just leave the plastic one on, until it gets scratched up or peels off (it's already starting to peel away at the corner near the home button), then from there decide if I want to go naked, plastic protector, or a tempered glass one.
Doesnt it come with a screen protector put on already?
I am using the stock plastic screen protector that comes installed. It protects the phone from scratches, so I thing it it very important.
I usually use glass screen protectors because they can save your screen from braking and it is harder to scratch but on the OP3\T it doesn't cover all the screen, and that really annoys me.
Never used a protector on any phone ever. The OP holds up better than most :good: I try to be a bit carefully with keys and such, but I don't really care for scratches. It's a tool, not jewelery...
I use a Spigen neohybrid, but only to hold the metal plate for my car holder. If it weren't for that it'd be completely naked. I also have a dbrand skin on it. But for the looks, not for protection... That stone with red accents is sexy :victory:

Lol it annoys you? Really??? Mate I've been using the stock one since 2 months ago. I put it on perfect so it don't bother me...yes it's obviously not a full fit. But quality is crap lol. Screen protector has cracks all over it now going to change it out for a plastic film when I get back home

Took off the built in one in November and have been using my OnePlus 3T with a spigen rugged armor. Phone, screen, and case are all in excellent condition.
I was using it without any protector... but i got disappointed... As i saw some scratches... i use my phone carefully...
I was previously using Lumia 1020 from past two years... Still using it without any protector... Still no scratches in two years...
Whereas in 3t the scratches appeared within a month...
I have also i used iphone without any protector, iphone also did not had any scratches until i went to a beach for holidays... there i got some scratches due to sands...
I will suggest you guys to use protection. I was using a tempered glass aftr seeing the scratches but was not happy with the quality as it was making the screen seemed to be a bit inside also the bezel and screen had greater contrast so the full tempered glass comes like that, making the phone look cheaper..also while using the home button it was not a not satisfactory due to the level difference of the tempered glass and the button.. removed that and installed old school screen guard... Im Happy now

Otao Tempered Glass Screen Protector - Note 8

Received my OTAO Tempered Glass for my Note 8 Today. The Product arrived quickly and was packaged well.
The Package Included : (1) Installation Tray, (1) Glass Protector, (1) Cleaning Cloth, (1) Alcohol Wipe, (1) Sticker for dust/lint removal,
(1) Instruction Card W/Photos, (1) Thank You Card with Contact info for OTAO.
You can purchase them from here : https://www.amazon.com/Tempered-Pro...=1517931940&sr=8-3&keywords=otao+glass+note+8
The un-boxing was fun, was able to lay out everything and see what all came with the product, packaging felt premium and was well tailored to a Note 8 customer. The process to get the tray over device and screen protector on was slightly awkward and honestly if you have a steady hand you could install it without the tray IMO. I used the tray and the protector was installed perfectly center and square so at least there was 0 risk in getting it crooked or anything.
I was really worried about going to full glass protector on a infinity type screen. The curved glass has been hell to cover with anything but liquid glass (that provided 0 real protection) and not interfere with touch / operation.
The screen protector has glue 360* around the glass so there is not any movement or feeling of it being loose or poorly seated. I read other reviews where the glass had become loose or cracked and I can attest that this should NOT be the case. The only way its breaking is a drop or accident that resulted in a good bit of force onto the screen/glass. This protector IS case friendly as well, I tried it with my OtterBox as well as my UAG and neither case lifted or pushed the screen protector in any way!
Overall im really glad I tried the OTAO branded protector, as all the others do NOT have a 360* seal or the ability to work with many cases on the market, and OTAO has both and a really good price!
Check out the photos i took so you can see what to expect! The case in the photos is the UAG Clear Smoked Case btw!
Pros:
Actual Tempered Glass @ a Fair Price ( Under 15$ Shipped )
Has adhesive around the entire glass ( 360 sealed )
Touch response was unaffected / no gaps or air
Cons:
Tray is a little awkward to use, I would say try to do it without if you feel comfortable.
Adhesive around edges seems to be grabbing some lint / hair over time, kinda annoying
Screen has "Dot Matrix" and is slightly visible and certain angles.

I had one like this, another brand, it broke easy. So my question is, did you break it yet?
Mine popped off in 3 days

I did not break it, i had it on my device for 30 days, it was really a decent glass protector, but like me2151 said i did notice the adhesive wasnt nearly as strong as i would have liked.
Otherwise it was a nice all glass protector.
I did not like i could see the dot matrix, and the installer tray was garbage.
Otherwise at the cheaper price compared to the white dome, and seeing people complain about it at 60$ + , its worth the investment for a cheaper one that may last 1/4 of the time but be easily replaced and nearly 1/6 the cost.
I'm on my second one. Not because it broke, but because it popped off when I dropped my note and I got dust beneath. Finally changed it yesterday after weeks with the dust. I know I prolly have micro scratches. I really like this one. But, oh well...
Interesting thoughts.
I am getting a new Note 8 tomorrow and this is in my shopping cart. I have been wondering about this as I have heard traditional screen protectors don't work well on the rounded glass.
