Wake your phone with fingerprint drains battery - Huawei Mate S

After few days of usage I noticed significant battery usage by fingerprint servise. To be more specific it is draining more when wake up with fingerprint sensor is on. Other features I have not noticed to have big impact.
Anyone else has this issue?

S Voice

Has anyone else been seeing a BIG battery drain related to S Voice replies? My brightness is low, timeout is minimum, and battery life is normally very good. It's only when I'm using S Voice that I see a big drain.

S voice has not caused any battery problems for me. Use it as much as I can with brightness on 4 and wrist flip turned on as well. Last about 2 days for me.

[Q] "OK Google" detection...battery drain?

Quick question: with always on detection whether the screen is on or off, is there extra battery drain on the N6, or is there some sort of low power processor like the ambient display that keeps the battery drain to a minimum?
Thanks in advance!
I haven't noticed any additional drain. I always get over 5 hours SOT with it on.
There will be battery use, but it probably wont be very noticeable.

Battery drain

I'm having battery problems.
It has excessive consumption, I would not like it to be due to unlocking the bootloader or root.
I think more of incorrect background app management
I am not too happy about battery too.
I was expecting better battery management.
When in standby it drains more than while using the device.
I have also blocked background data in most of user apps so they wouldn't connect but it didn't work.
To be clear, I stil can do whole day, but with moderate usage.
Best hours on screen more less 5 hours. But I've read about people who even did almost 10 hours of active screen.

phone is good. Battery worse. realme 5 pro dont buy until battery issue solves
only issue with this new update a9 version with previous a8 battery is fine but now i can't get sot of 5 hours.
it drains a lot while using WIFI 5GHz, IDK why
so i switch to 2.4GHz
I'm getting about 2-3% battery drain on standby overnight and leave WiFi on but turn data off.

Soli & Touch to wake battery consumption

Hi, I've bought a sealed p4xl off eBay and the battery life seems "ok" compared to my p3xl.
But I've noticed a major battery drain with soli radar on (ambient display always off), I have the music gestures and the reach to wake.
Is that what's causing the drain? Or is it because of the "tap to wake"? (Also why is it tap to wake instead of tap twice?)
Some reviews from users that have tried with/ without the functions would be nice.

In my experience tap to wake does not cause any excessive battery drain. Music gestures and reach to wake ( or anything soli related really) will cause extra battery drain. Lift to wake may as well.
Hey. I have a Pixel 4 XL and the battery lasts for a day, and I charge it over night.
I have ambiente EQ, 90Hz, motion sense, tap to wake and lift to wake enable and various apps running on the background. I usually get 5 hours of screen on time.
I would recomend you to download Accubattery and see the battery health. Maybe the battery needs to be replaced. Mine is at 92% of health(almost new). If it is below 80% you should consider replacing it. Here you have a link to ifixit webpage. For heating I use a hair dryer instead of their special kit. It gives the same result.
If you still need more battery, maybe turn off Motion Sense and turn on battery saver mode. Do you have adptive battery turn on?
Maybe there is an app using more battery than what it should or it is crashing and drain your battery.

Question Sensors battery drain when sleep tracking

So it seems that I have sensor issue with my phone. Especially over night when using Sleep as Android. It can easly it up 30-40% of battery in night. I checked it with better battery stats, and it seems that significant motion detector(sns_smd) and proximity sensor and accelerometer are using a lot of my battery. Anyone had problem like this? I am wondering if this can be software issue and if it makes any sense to try any other OS/software. I think I have this issue on A12 all the time, even did factory reset, installed kernel, etc, didn't help it. I think on A11 it wasn't happening, didn't try A13 yet. Any idea if other custom OS can fix this? Or maybe this is hardware issue?
Check some device info app how much is your phone discharging(in mA) in idle and during app running. In idle it should by ~100-200mA.
I don't think sensors are problem as they usually consume almost nothing.
You can use apps like 3C CPU manager for disabling CPU cores and minimize it's frequencies over night when Sleep app is running....it should help decrease battery draining.
Actually, I am using my mi band - and it seems that issue here is this, like when bluetooth is enabled and anything is connected there is huge battery drain. Testing now for one day with bluetooth off and I got 2h SOT and around 1h socials and just 44% battery used, so issue is there for sure. With bluetooth and my mi band connected I would get already 70-80% battery used.
