Doogee X5 - Doogee X5 Questions & Answers

Hi im new at xda im looking for help with rooting the Doogee X5 phone. If any one has rooted this type of phone i would like some advice as to how this can be done

I am also facing same problem. Any help?

root doogee X5
Just follow this guide http://braineatingcom.blogspot.pt/2015/10/doogee-x5-easy-root-guide-for-newbies.html.
I had same problem with rooting this device, but it is easy.

What worked for me was to use king root latest, then use SuperSU me apk to changec permissions manager tossuper user don't forget to install busybox

This is an awesome device. Despite 1g ram it is snappy responsive and discs is managed perfectly. There are custom roms even. To those facing trouble with twrp, you need to flash the 3.0.2 version instead of earlier versions via flashify or the like. Routed with king root then super su me OR there is a root script on NEED ROM post me for the necessary links.
---------- Post added at 05:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:00 PM ----------
The device showed up as Huwei ideos 8800 idk why but it's uses the same recovery.

(SOLVED,flashed DOOGEE-X5-HOT2-6.0.zip and the twrp recovery from the rom worked.)king root V4.80 couldnt root my doogee x5,earlier i flashed cwm recovery, wich made recovery broke, see atached file.
does somebody know how to restore the recovery,i flashed some recovery s wich didnt work...
thanks in advance

[Q] XT1053 Need help with Root

I have the dev edition of the moto x 2013. I've unlocked the bootloader successfully. I flashed the Recovery img with this command
Code:
mfastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.3.0-ghost.img
and flashed the SuperSU.zip (UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40) through the Recovery successfully. But when I checked to see if it was rooted with Root Checker Basic, it said the Device wasn't.
I'm sure that I've done all the steps right in this guide Guide on "Rooting Unlocked Bootloader". Please Help
PS: I'm new to all this rooting and stuff. Sorry if there is a post out there that covers this. I couldn't find any posts that say this guide didn't work.
Did you download SuperSU from the play store? ?
---------- Post added at 12:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:35 AM ----------
Here is a video guide also... To see if you missed anything,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2487635
Thanks for the video guide! I'll check into it later, as it is kind of late here...
No I did not install SuperSU from the play store. I got it from the link the guide provided me. and sorry I can't post a url since i'm new to this forum
You still at need to install SuperSU. You've flashed the binaries in recovery, but need the app if it isn't in your app drawer.
---------- Post added at 12:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:51 AM ----------
If it is in your app drawer already, open it... See what it says.
Okay. I installed it, updated the binaries, and it flashed for me... It works now. I see why the app is needed. Thank you!!!!
Eh, Quick question, does it matter what android version i need to do a nandroid backup and is it easy?
Android version is irrelevant to make a backup. Yes it's easy... Just go to backup in your recovery, click.... Done. ?

Root ZE550KL with no pc.

Hey guys! I have an Asus Zenfone 2 laser ZE550KL, and I'd like to root it. I tried to root it following this guide:
https://devs-lab.com/root-asus-zenfone-2-laserze550kl.html , because I didn't want to wipe all my data. Unfortunately it didn't work (at least my phone is still alive), and I honestly got angry because I unlocked my bootloader, losing my warranty, and I can't even root my phone without deleting all my data. Can you please, guys, try to do something to make rooting this phone, way more easier and faster? Thank you and have a good day.
Why dont you transfer all of your data to an sd card? And I don't know if rooting the phone without pc is a thing yet..? You could also try doing a backup of your settings and stuff on a sd card, do the root, fetch the backup from the card and execute it. It sould work with some apps from the playstore that don't need root, atleast I think.

Some people use framaroot, kingroot or One Click Root and trust me... It's totally easier and faster than the adb thing...

There, you can backup files, contacts, messages, apps and all sorts of things on a sd card or maybe if you have a Google account on the Google Drive, root the phone and restore the backup

You should update your phone to MM and go to the Asus's support page there is a .apk for the bootloader, that application will unlock the bootloader, and you're good to go with rooting and furthermore modifying your phone. But first unlock the bootloader, otherwise you will brick your phone. Trust me official bootloader unloocker works fine.

And I recommend you to update your phone to the latest firmware, MM, and do that on your phone in System Update app. After that unlock the bootloader, you can find the official apk on Asus support site for z00ed. Just fire up the application and go trough all steps, your phone should reboot. Don't worry, this wont hurt your phone, if you do it the way I wrote it. I'll post the link to the unlock app here later. After that you just go with the adb root method, I'll post the link to that topic here also. Nothing to be afraid of.

Help with flashing a ROM

Hello, i wanted to flash rom DstrikerZ1 Kai, could someone tell me simple steps what to do. Got stock kernel and rom.
first of all root your stock rom using KingoRoot and then install Dual Recovery and reboot into TWRP and Flash DstrikerZ1 Kai ROM and ENJOY Xperia X features on your Supercalifragilisticexplidicious Sony Z1
Thank you, should i unlock bootloader or flash new kernel?
no it doesnt need any new kernel
Thank you again, i had a little "fun" with drivers but in the end it all went well. One more question: what are xposed modules?
The Xposed Framework is a way to make system-level changes to your Android operating system without installing a custom ROM.
---------- Post added at 10:58 ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 ----------
for the drivers in windows 10 you need to disable signature verfication by booting into windows recovery and do some things!
Thanks again (damn im repeating myself).

You restored your backups with the P9 Lite unofficial TWRP and still got sound working ? Lucky you, I guess. Apparently the dev also had the issue.

How do I root Blu Vivo XL3 Plus?

I would love to know the answer to this ^ question if anyone knows how or if there's a way to do it yet. Thanks a lot.
There's a video on Youtube that purports to point to an APK that lets you root a Vivo XL3 Plus; unfortunately in my experience the APK says it will unlock after you install some crapware, but it never unlocks.
So far neither of my go-to rooting apps (Dr.Fone and Kingroot) have been successful. I'll keep trying and if I can find a way to root my XL3+, I'll post it here.
Did you have any luck yet in rooting the XL3 Plus? Just picked one of these up for my kid. Came with 7.1.2 Feb/18 Security Patches. was looking to root it if possible. Thanks!
~SG
I'm looking to purchase one of these due to the fact it has some impressive specs, but $$$ is a little limited right now & my current device (an HTC Bolt) is a POS, even rooted, RE-rom'd & various mods, I've been slightly less than happy with it, now it has a small crack in the screen & the display looks like X-mas packaging, but can someone, anyone post a rooting method for this device.....PLEASE??? I've got to have root for my devices so I can have some control over them....
Responce?
Anyone know yet? That would be awesome...
Blu vivo xl3 plus rooting
I did found an article online that claimed rooting this device is now possible. I followed the instruction to first install a TRWP and after i was able to boot that via fastboot, my phone got bricked.
I don't know what to do now. I hope someone can help me out.

My advice: Don't tamper with the operating system until the stock ROM is released
ifyour bricked IF YOUR BRICKED Find the thread with the link to the wiko view xl firmware file download link. you may be able to use its firmware s its a clone of the xl3plus. Have you tried power on and vol up button to get to recovery and factory reset your phone (try reset first)
