How to install CM13 on Axon...? - ZTE Axon Pro

Hi there. I've recently bought the ZTE Axon Mini off Ebay here in the UK. It's my first time to ask about CyanogenMod and i'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask.
I wanted to ask if its possible to install CM12 to this phone? (I can't see ZTE phones in the main CM Forums page). I'm not an expert in ROMs or mods and i have a Mac.
Just seeking advice & help. Many thanks.

Hi, to my knowledge the Axon has not been rooted yet, once someone is able to root it and the bootloader is unlocked then the custom roms will come.
My advice for now is to just install Nova Launcher and enjoy the phone till then.

Yes i can install a 3rd-party launcher like Nova but it does;t have that level of customisation or flexibility like Cyanogen like changing icons, more security, more themes, etc.

If you're talking about app icons, then yes you can change the icons using an Icon Pack. Things such as security and themes I'm not sure about.

Use any kind of themes on your Stock ROM!!!

Saurik, the long time developer of iPhone's jailbreak apps (Cydia, Winterboard etc) has released two apps today for Android systems, Cydia Substrate and Winterboard. Winterboard allows you to use ANY kind of theme (CM themes, Apex themes etc) on stock ROMs without having the required custom ROMs or Launchers for it. Just install Cydia Substrate, do what it says then install Winterboard, then you can install any themes, activate them, then just hot reboot then phone and voilá! It's a great thing IMO, very nice work from him.
Here you can find the apps you need (both free):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.saurik.substrate
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.saurik.winterboard
Root access needed, and not every themes work yet, as they are still in beta phase.
Do you mean these 2 apps alow us to use CM10 themes on ICS?

I tried it and I'm absolutly not conviced by these 2 products.
I installed them as described by you and the author several times on a Stok ICS (because I think is that one wich need most theming help) and I experienced lots of FC, freezes and lot of strange behavior (like : re-asking for my Google ID logon).
I tried to use some CM10 themes for experiences but after to many problems I lost faith. So I gave up.
Anyway thanks for the head up.
i tried it too and it's not working for me, only a laggy device and i can't change the theme i don't know why

Maybe you'll have better luck with cm9 themes on stock ics rom than cm10 themes. Check out the mega cm9 theme chooser thread for the list of themes

I believe the first option is "double tap to wake", the 2nd option is "draw a circle to fire up the camera and the 3rd option is "draw a double line to play or pause music" not sure whether to draw horizontally or vertically though.
Great, thanks!

Better depends on what you need and entirely subjective - if you're happy with what you have then stick with it. However, if you're curious, I'd say make a Nandroid and flash it for a trial to see what you think - you can always go back.
I don't want to get into a 'how is this better / not better than ROM xxxxxxx' as, aside from being subjective to one person's likes and/or needs, it's unfair on the devs who give up their time to create them. It's a can of worms best left closed.
These are required for dt2w not preinstalled on miui

Nexus 6 Roms with different lay-out?

Hey Guys,
I have a question..
I'm looking for a nice rom for my Nexus 6. But with a total different interface. And not the standard Google Launcher lay-out. I mean roms like Flyme OS (only google apps will not work on that). So i'm looking for another nice option.
Thanks!
Stuff like Flyme and MIUI aren't available for the N6.

I know that, Flyme is possible btw. And they are busy porting MIUI to N6. But maybe someone knows other roms that have that kind of lay out.
If you search on general forum theres a post by me about flyme os.
Only problem is that it is chinese.

You get an Android developer device and dont want the Android ui? They are not gonna get miui to work completely due to the changes they make and then they would have to release the full kernel source which we all know they don't want

I just like the lay out of MIUI, i had a Redmi Note before it was stolen. And i liked the lay out. Maybe there was a rom that kinda the same lay-out. Doesnt need to be MIUI in specticulair. Like Flyme is awesome tho, but gapps dont work on that.
Why don't you just use Layers or CMTE themes and mix/match different themes for how you want it to look. Then using xposed you can use things like Flat Style Colored Bars and do even more customization. You can even use a different launcher and customize that further. AOSP > things like MIUI or Flyme IMO
How about trying the Chinese forums ?

There are probably links to others within the ones above.
Does any have no calls receive on flyme ported rom?

What are the Best Roms with no Issues for the Mi Max 2?

What are some good roms for the mi max 2 thats not MIUI with NO issues. And one with the ability to install Substratum?
The stable ROMs from MIUI are the only one with NO major Issues. And none of them support Substratum yet. There are some custom ROMs, but they are not Stable, most of them are on Beta/developer ROM.

Download Oreo/Nougat theme on Theme Store. Install Nova launcher and find yourself an icon pack. You should be able to have 95% android stock look.

Appreciate the link but this theme is in chinese. If I get this phone it'll be for the global version since I'm in USA. Will; this theme be in english?
Other than that MIUI is soooo outdated looking. It looks as outdated as win 95. Very disappointing.
The theme will be in whatever language your phone is.
I don't know which version of MIUI you are looking at, but it has come a long way. It's not as bad as it used to be and in terms of design it doesn't look outdated at all except for the ugly icons, which you can easily change. The Themes app allows for a lot of customization which on stock Android can only be done on a rooted phone, too.
Anyway, I still prefer stock Android over MIUI as well, but before Lineage OS is stable enough for me, I'll have to stick to MIUI. These are my settings in the themes app to make it look more like stock Android and darkish enough for me:
Lock Style: Default
Status Bar: Clean
Icons: Limitless
Messaging: Default
Dial Pad: Simple & Clean UI
Favourites Tray: Default

I'm on the "Global" version of the phone there are plenty of dark themes available in english, visit the themes sub-section on the official MIUI forums at http://en.miui.com/forum-7-1.html and take a look for any that take your fancy... On a side note there are way to many iPhone themes there,,,

None.
Yet.
At least, according to your criteria. Especially the "NO issues" part. (Current LineageOS for Mi Max 2 still has some issues - for e.g. IR does not work yet.)

That's the only issue (usless one)
IR has probably been fixed by now, it's just a matter of time until xuefer posts his updated build here. There are devs actively working on Lineage based builds for the Max 2, I'd say a couple more weeks until we start seeing more ROMs here.

Mi 9 change to android stock?

Hey guys,
I'm not really understand in this matters but i don't really like the Xiaomi operation system, is there any way to change the OP to android stock or android pie?
If so, i'll happy to get some information how to do it.
Thank you!

I'ts nice, but it doesn't solve some issues such as notification on top bar, lock screen.. etc..
yeahh it doesn't but I guess this is the closest you can get without bootloader unlock & root + custom ROM.
