Help. Any 60fps video freezes on playback. - Moto X Q&A

Any video I try to watch that is at 60fps freezes after 1 second of playback. On youtube and in my gallery. Any clues on how to fix it? Running 5.1.1 slimlp
I tried on stock, aicp, ressurectionremix, and 60fps videos still wont play.

I think I found out why. I used mx player and tried the sw decoder and the videos play.
How can I make Android use a sw decoder instead?

Play 1080p in CM7 ?

Hello,
I'm on cm7 .51 and I was wondering if anyone can play a 1080p movie ?
I've tried .mp4, streaming from youtube on tv or not same result :720p is smooth and 1080p is buggy. And which video player is better ?
With MoboPlayer, Rockplayer lite, and stock : Sound and no image.
On youtube : Buggy
Or is it cm that doesn't support that resolution ? But if that's it why is it half-working on youtube ?
Thanks

CyanogenMod WMV video playback problem

Hi everyone,
I'm on official CM 10.1 and when I play WMV video files using MX Player, they play only with SW decoder which becomes laggy if the video is in 1080p with high bitrate. These videos play fine on Stock ROM with HW decoder and of course with default video player.
Is there anyway to import LG video player, video libs or whatever responsible of this to CM to make this videos work properly?

Try a different player such as BS Player.

Although it may not solve anything, consider upgrading to the latest nightly also. As of July 12 I saw all my GPS issues disappear, so perhaps your issue was addressed as well.

[Q] 10-bit video playback on CM11

Hey guys,
Recently, I took over my dad's touchpad, and installed CM11 on it (milaq, 1/9/14). I have a lot of 720p anime encoded in h264 10-bit video. When I tried to play it,
* BS Player doesn't output subtitles as they were typeset, also lags a bit.
* MX outputs subtitles alright, but cannot play it without massive lag. It doesn't allow me to select the H/W decoder.
* Dice just crashes.
* VLC gets diarrhea and doesn't even play beyond the first scene.
Has anybody had any luck with playing any 10-bit, 720p video on their touchpad? If so, could you tell me what you did?
(For reference, the file I used was Commie's Hanamonogatari.)

I have not used commiesub for year. Try with MX Player to download the plugin for codec manualy (store version don't work) and link it from the option. If my video lag, normaly, hw+ work. It only happened 1 times from some french sub than hw+ did not work with 10bit 1080p, otherwise it should work fine. Normaly, the best and stable sub for VLC's Deadfish and Horriblesubs, otherwise, MX Player's the only one working with 10bit video. If it still lag, you might need to overclock the cpu and put 16bit video in the performance setting of the TP.

FullHD video playback issue

Hi everyone,
I have an issue with fullhd video playback. When I use mxplayer with hw decoder, it has lag for every second, but not with sw decoder. It happens with both videos from cam corder and outsource.
Beside, when I watch videos on website (by using chrome), It looks like slow motion The sound plays in front of video.
So could you suggest any solution? I dont want to use sw decoder because hw is strong enough to play fullhd videos.
Im using stock 4.4.2 with root, no unlocked bootloader.
Sorry for my eng
Update to 5.1.1
Hmm i think os is not problem
