Custom boot animation and logo - X Play Themes and Apps

Does anyone have custom boot animation and logo for moto x play?

Just copy any bootanimation.zip file using any root file manager and paste in system>etc>media<folder.First backup the original one, just in case. Then give proper permission and reboot. That's it.

You have a few apps in the app store.I have a few downloaded and worked with my old moto g,but watch out.Have to make a nandroid backup first.I soft bricked my device several times playing with bootloader animations. The picture based files work mostly, but when I tried replacing the stock mp4 with another mp4 it never worked, dammit

You can try this app called "Boot Box". Just search for animations with the same screen resolution as the mxp. Tried some others, but this app worked best.

Tried it but it has too less animations.
No issues. Settled now after flashing the android 6.0 stock nexus animation.

Help restoring with Nandroid after a bad .zip update

I tried to flash a theme update from zip in recovery mode and it messed something up royally. Now when I boot the phone it shows the HTC logo then just goes black and never comes back. I made a Nandroid back up right before I flashed and it said it completed it successfully, but when I go to recovery (volume down + power button) and select nand restore, it says its restoring and then restoring complete but when I reboot it still goes to the black screen. What do i need to do differently? I have never had to restore until now.
I'm on Fresh 2.3.3
Try wiping all data and dalvik and then restoring the nandroid.

Do adb logcat. It might actually be booting without a bootscreen.

Can you walk me through that? Sorry I haven't ever heard of it.
EDIT: Ok I let it run for a while and it eventually boots up but the boot screens/sounds never show or play. So I completely wiped the phone and reflashed Fresh 2.3.3... still no boot screens or sounds! I don't know what I could have messed up that complete wipe/flash doesnt get rid of. Any ideas? Also now Titanium is saying that it cant get root access because my phones not rooted properly. What tha?
Bump... Still having this issue. The phone is usable but the boot images and sounds are gone
nobody has mentioned this but maybe you just have a bad Nandroid. maybe something did not copy right or something in the phone internally got deleted during the backup/restore process. i saw on android forums somewhere it happened to some person using an Eris. Cant quite remember how he got it fixed but he ended up fixing it somehow.

Well I thought it might be a bad nandroid too, so I just wiped the phone and flashed fresh without ever restoring the backup and it still has no boot images or sounds. It's the strangest thing. When I flashed the first time to 2.3.3 the re were definately boot images and I flashed from the same file this time.
You might have to just use the RUU and start over from scratch, I had to do that once and it sucked.

[Q] Boot stuck at Xperia Waves Animation

Hi Guys,
Ive got a rooted (Easy Rooting Toolkit) Xperia Z 4.2.2 Stock firmware. After deinstalling some Apps I restarted my phone, and now it stucks at the waves animation right after the Xperia logo. I have TWRP (XZrecovery) installed and got backups but I cant find a way to boot into that recovery without using the app.
Is there any way to get my phone back working? Is there any shortcut starting TWRP without using the app?
Help would be much appreciated..

Push volume up while booting should boot you into recovery.
You can also use Sony Update Service to restore your phone.
Use flashtool to flash stock firmware .

For anyone with a similar problem:
my phone suddenly started again, but without the homescreen, i had a black screen and the soft keys.
I was able to start the small app browser. Then i navigated to google play and opened Titanium Backup via Google Play Store.
Then I was able to recover the Apps Ive deleted. After that I had my home screen back and was able to boot into recovery via XZRecovery. Then I restored my backup and phone is fine now.
Thanks for your replies. This Thread may be closed.
can you tell me does it work while you were trying to power it on or it was suddenly turned on because I have the same problem and I can't do factory rest via Sony companion :'( please help

Hi i have a serious problem i am running cm-12-20150217-NIGHTLY-ghost.zip for the last five days. Now this is where my problems started yesterday i flashed a new boot animation after which the device refuses to boot . when switch on i just keep hearing a vibrating sound untill i hold down vol button and go into twrp recovery. I had made a nandroid backup of the functioning cm12 which i know works because i tested it once. But this time it wont work anymore. After restoring the backup i get the same problem vibrates then stops and the occasional flicker of light. i have no idea how to get back to stock i cannot find kitkat .4.4.4 stock for xt1053 anywhere and i think ive bricked the device anyway. I think i flashed the wrong boot animation which may have corrupted sys files.
Any help much very much appreciated im all ears.

Wrong section, but I'll help. Next time use the Q&A...but okay. Flash the cm12 nightly after wiping and see if it'll boot. And if you got into recovery I'm pretty sure your not bricked.
Edit: if you can't get cm12 to boot without flashing cm11 first, then just flash cm11. If anything boots then it was just your setup.

It's cool man, And you wiped data for sure? If you wiped data for sure, are you sure the cm11 has ghost in the file name? And can you tell me what was the boot animation zip you flashed.

Ok perhaps we are getting somwhere now i had changed the file name before flashing to make it easier for me to type in i wasnt aware it would have any relevance. the boot animation i used was one from here in the moto x boot animations section and was about 26mb which i thought odd but i flashed it anyway like an idiot. What i dont understand is why my Nand flash didnt work after that. This is the animation i flashed.

I have been getting help from another section but they advised me to post here. Just to update i am still in the same position no matter how many times i wipe everything and then adb push either cm11 or cm12 neither will boot it just vibrates every 2 seconds and i have to force recovery by holding the buttons in.
Your not bricked. Why not return to complete stock via mfastboot or rsd to make sure?
It has been solved!!!! [emoji1]

Oh, and I've seen this symptom from flashing an incompatible LOGO.BIN, but haven't seen it from flashing boot animation (unless the animation file was TWRP flashable, and included a LOGO.BIN). Usually flashing a known good LOGO.BIN back on your phone fixes it.
fixed
Thankyou very much guys esp Smash2Bash without whom i was very much messed up i believe i flashed a stock logo/bootanimation to cm12 which is what caused my problems. when sent the correct one everything fired up as normal phew. Funny thing is why wouldnt my Nandroid backup work i just dont understand that and also since reflashing a fresh cm12nightly ambient display has started working which didnt work at all before very strange.

Bootloop, TWRP not showing

Hi,
I'm running MicroMod777's LP custom rom (i've been using it for a while now)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/rom-g4-h811-xtreme-rom-v1-0-7-28-15-t3167667
I'm also rooted and installed twrp.
One day, I was in the gallery app, zooming in on a photo, when my screen froze up completely, resulting in me having to pull the battery (power button was not functioning as well).
When I rebooted, the phone was stuck on bootloop, and I entered the LG G4 custom recover mode, only to realize that whenever I confirmed yes at the factory reset page, the screen would freeze for a little while, and then resume its bootloop cycle without booting to TWRP.
It has booted and backed up/restored files from TWRP, so I am pretty confident that I have installed TWRP correctly.
Help?

Yeah... problem is I can't flash anything
When I go into recovery mode (for twrp) the screen just freezes and then continues bootloop...
Attempting to flash the stock kdz through LGUP didn't work as well, stuck at 9%...
Oh well, I'll probably just send it in and hope for the best.

yes as long you have warranty you are ok... good luck.. ohhh by the way its better to have the bootloade locked...
unlocking voids warranty..
