I had an S6, considered an S7 or Note 5, got my Note 5 and preordered it.
I knew that I must own the best modular case, and with time Nexpaq which I liked the most, and Otterbox uniVerse got left behind I-blades, not launching products even for the S7.
Hope there comes greater competition in this field and better products also

It is not needed. You could just use the case and also get the extra power features, but the square on the back is kind of like the "friends" for the LG G5 or like the moto mods. But not as feature full. Adding the squares on the back can give you additional storage, more battery, etc.

The case in itself does not do anything except monitor your environment for temperature etc. The smartblade add-on contains extra battery, extra storage (I believe 32Gb) and a micro-sd slot for additional storage.. Smartblade can be stacked, but are also interchangeable with other future blocks. The can also be carried forward as you move to newer smartphones.

Nothing from them yet. I keep checking my email hoping for a shipped notice.
I'm really trying to not be impatient... I hate waiting so long - but I definitely don't want a crappy product, especially for what they charge for the package!
Got email today. Cases should be delivered end of June or early July. Attached email so yall can see exactly what was stated.
Got an email from them a few days ago that said this:
"Unfortunately, we ran into some unexpected delays with the Rubber Coating on the Note 5. Our supplier had to re-produce parts with new coating. At this time, we expect our supplier to ship us new parts on July 7th. Once we receive them, we can begin to manufacture and then ship."
I asked for a full refund as I will probably have a new phone in a couple months.
HAAHAHAAA........ Till the time they release for Note 5, I think NOTE 7 OR NOTE 8 will be released.
My case is on its way to me... Just the case though - the SmartBlade attachment is still on backorder. Possibly for another month.

so i am one of the people who could not get a nexus 4 from the funny Store because of unknown erros in the ordering system! (after a call they say u have one, next day call the told me that there is no transaction)!
I personally (like many other) do not believe that the Nexus 4 is out of stock! unless they hat only 1000 pieces!
I believe there it is one of the following:
either
- It is a markting game! we do not have any information about how many pieces were sold! .... not really sure
or
- Google do not trust this LG nexus really and did offered only limited pieces to be sold, to see how does the Nexus 4 do in the every day use! a kind of real life test!, so they can (maybe/maybe not) prevent the failures in the next shipment of nexus 4. And that is why google did not set a pre-order option on the funny Store!
As i can see it is really better that many of us could not get a nexus 4 first shipment (may be last shipment too!). I also do not like to buy a phone which i did not hold in my hand! or a phone which is not really tested yet!
So be happy like me because u did not buy the nexus 4 yet!

Well, everything has its good side. Those who weren't able to get a Nexus 4 can wait and see people's impression about this device, more reviews (besides the wide anandtech review), possible device issues, etc.
I admit I will buy a Nexus 4 as soon as it becomes avaliable again, but I'm also worried about the non-AOSP thing. So let's see hot it goes now on.

Why not go with an official bumper case? That is the lightest thing that will protect fully against falls (unless you drop it on an uneven surface where the glass touches first.. unlikely)

Are you serious? You really think that there is enough time between the first batch arriving and being used and shipping the second batch of phones they're going to have enough information to make serious hardware changes? A little far-fetched methinks.
How about something positive like Google set a limit on the devices to ensure that each one was sent out in a timely manner and the orders could be processed swiftly before relisting the device that was hugely popular?

I don't think that the glass makes the phone not 'sturdy'. I would guess that the phone is well made, solid and also looks really nice because of the tough Gorilla Glass 2 backing. Obviously, this is purely speculative but I can imagine that with a bumper and - more importantly - a little care, this device will last a while and be great to have.

All my phones up until now have been on contract, and each upgrade has never coincided with a launch. Part of the appeal with the N4 (along with the price of course) was to get a phone at launch for the 1st time. I'm happy to put up with teething problems -as a long standing Android dabbler, that is part of the masochistic fun. It is just nice to be in at the very beginning for a change.

Did they send you a confirmation Email about you being approved?. I filled out mines about a week ago and it mentioned it would take 3-5 days to get a confirmation Email but nothing yet.
Mine was just approved on Monday, took about one week for approval and shipment.

Please look at the photo I have posted (zoom in to see the details) with this post to the thread. I am referring to the "Wireless Charging Pack" which is actually a cover for the Note 5 from Samsung, which has a battery built into it, which wirelessly charges the phone while the cover is on. The cover only covers the back, not the front (including the camera lens on the back as it contains a battery) but wirelessly charges the phone while it is on the phone (I have read in the description it has a switch on it which allows you to turn the wireless charging on and off, so essentially this is Samsung's version of a Mophie cover). You can use the phone normally (except for the camera of course) while the phone has this on it. I did live chat with the Samsung Support reps and they said to call the Samsung Support line and I would be able to order one (that they were available). Yes but you need to think of what is being asked here. With our current technology, batteries must be rectangular to work, and cannot have holes in them. So to have a hole for the camera would be to have to make the battery shorter (and maybe thicker to make up for that) and currently this case already adds alot of thickness as far as I have heard. So there's not much of an alternative! I believe the designers also probably thought it might not be such a big concern as well - because how much more often do you use the phone for other things - other than for the camera - most of the time, right?

They could have used 3 batteries to get around the camera. Would have increased the price a lot i am sure though.

But yeah prepare to be amazed if the mate 20 is better than the p20 were in for a treat. I remember finishing work at 5 with 86% battery. That phone was beast. I am on the fence. Given the screen issues that are reported I want to see what batches we get in Canada. Plus lack of getting bootloader unlock (though not a must have) may be the deal-breaker for me... I wonder if the prices on 2 year contracts will be good on Black Friday.

So far, all the unboxing videos showed an included transparent case. So I would say yes but I ordered one from Amazon just in case. No pun intended. As far as the official ones, did you try Huawei's website?

Those are solid points. As far as the screen issue goes well you have 15 days to return or exchange the phone. If you wait you miss out on the free Huawei watch 2 (if that matters to you.

I asked what the return policy was, and she did mention I have the 15 days if I change my mind. I recommend all of you to use it like crazy to detect any of the green screen issues early on!

I'll share opinion once I receive it, but I thought I'd share it with you meanwhile. It's good to know there is such a battery pack, needed or not.

Seller said package was lost and refunded me...
I'll try to find another seller that has this battery case.
Product lost, didn't get it. And I can't find it again on Aliexpress... Was going to be a good battery case.
If I manage to find similar one, will post link and feedback here.
I bought one too. A week ago, just waiting to check if it's good.
Unfortunately I didn't find any video or picture about the case and Mi 5s. So I have no ideia how it will looks like. All the images that I found it was about MI 5x or Plus.

So guys, I received the case and it's really interesting. The phone stayed really heavy now, but the grip it's really better. :good:
On the case it's information a battery of 6000mah, unfortunately I don't have the tools to confirm that, but with the rating of others people it's about a 4500mah +/-
To who like to use a glass film, the case bumper help with it a lot, making impossible the film go out.
The only thing that I didn't like is how the USB-C works. If you connect the cable, you only charge the case battery, you cannot transfer files etc...
It could be a "Y bridge".
