Samsung Gear on Samsung GS4 CyanogenMod 12.1 Can't start Gear Manager Plz Help - Samsung Galaxy Gear
Hi There,
I got Gear S as a present few days ago, but was having real tough time installing Gear Manager. I tried different methods that I found online, but no luck. I keep getting this message ( The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app. Check your operating system and try again. )
I tired it on 2 phones with no luck.
#1 Galaxy S4 (Canadian Rogers) running Cyanogen 12.1 Lollipop 5.1.1 (Android market shows Gear Manager as unsopported, but I managed to install it with an apk file just to get above message)
#2 Galaxy S5 (Canadian Rogers) running BlissPop v3.2 Lollipop 5.1.1 (also tried flashing Marshmallow 6.0 with same result)
The only phone that worked was S5 with stock rom that I borrowed from my wife.
Can someone point me in the right direction, I would really like to use this watch especially on my S4

I have the same issue with my Note 2. I see where people can trick Gear Manager into thinking it is on a Samsung device when it is not, surely there is some way to make it thinks or can't tell if it is on a rooted/custom ROM device? Would greatly appreciate any feedback or ideas!

Hi all! Can anyone explain why my Gear Manager won't update to 2.2? It was working yesterday then I reinstalled my rom due to issues and now it will only install 2.1. I'm not quite new to the Android/rooting world, but I do need some help. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 that is my main phone, but I haven't transferred my old number yet, so I'm using my old S. I spent about 3 days searching for and trying out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) ROMs, but even with following the exact instructions, either I couldn't finish the flash because it came up with an error or it soft bricked my phone. I decided to give up for a while and try a 4.4 ROM and it was successful on my first try, but I really want to use 5.0 as I have it on my S3 and Tab 2. Can anyone possibly link me to a stable 5.0 ROM? I've tried at least 6, but I've had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Specifications: ROM: Mackay 4.9.14 Android version: 4.4.4 Baseband version: I9000XXJVT The phone is rooted. I was using CWM, but I was unable to have it with my current ROM, so I'm now using TWRP.

Click to expand... Click to collapse The first result on Google of 'Update Galaxy S2 I9100 and Galaxy S I9000 to Android 5.1' works, but I had a few bugs and found a better version of it. Which ones did you try?

Gear Manager for Lollipop non-Samsung device
Hello to everyone, I succesfully installed the ROM TizenMod 3.0 on my Gear 2 Neo but can't connect it to my phone. I have a Moto G 2014 with Lollipop 5.0.2 and every Gear Manager I found on the web crashed at opening. Can someone help me please? Thanks!
I reveived a neo yesterday. I try all "method /tweak " for connecting it on my Z2, but all failed. Finally I try flash tizen to Android wear. Flash ok. Détection ok. Appeared ok. If u want try it search the tread android wear in this forum

Hello, does anyone know if this watch work on 5.1.1. I had it working on a Galaxy S5 5.0 rom. Then I updated it to 5.1.1 rom and now it isn't connecting. I restored the gear plugin and the samsung manager app. Still not working. Don't want to downgrade just because of the watch. Any help will be greatly appreciated
