Is there gamepad bracket holder for the nexus 7? - Nexus 7 Accessories

Hey, I have a PS2 controller with a USB port that I connect to my N7 via USB OTG. Does anyone know of a gamepad bracket for the nexus 7 so that the controller is held comfortably in place?
Thanks,
Aurora

OP knows that. Visit the link. It is a converter that creates a usb port and an adio in port from ipod dock. This will let you plug your streak usb cable and an audio cable into the converter and then into the ipod dock. Seems like a good solution for anyone who has a bunch of ipod or iphone accessories sitting around.

stole my idea! I was gonna make one myself and then see if i could get into mass producing them but been really busy lately.
I want to make a iPod female to PDMI male adapter thats small (about the size of a matchbox but skinnier) but $20 bucks for an extra cable from dell?!
That'll teachg me to read links properly...
But you'll have to have your pdmi cable going into the streak to power it AND a audio jack plugged ito the headphone port for audio.
Definitely not an elegant solution.

6 inch picture easel from Walmart makes a great stand for Nook Color

I bought a 6 inch black picture frame easel from Walmart for $2.50 to use as a stand for my Nook Color. The easel is open at the bottom to allow the right angle micro usb to female usb adapter (from Amazon for $4.49 free shipping. Low cost solution!
Got a link?
Cannot post link here but just type this in search field in Amazon website

Wasn't able to find one with a search at walmart.com,
The 6 inch black picture frame easel can be bought at your local Walmart.
i do basically the same thing.. but i bought the cheap .99 wire frame picture frame eisel and its about perfect plus it don't look cheesy like some of the homemade ones i have seen on here ..
There's a small cheap metallic easel from IKEA that works great as an ereader holder.
Hey...this might sound stupid but, why do I need that cable converter. Cant I just use my usb charger?
Correct me if I'm going down the wrong path with this but to me the "full" Nook charge cable is a very tight fit and is prone to breakage at the smallest hint of mistreatment. If I can plug the unit into a standard cable using a third party brick and get a full charge by letting it charge overnight I'll save the "good stuff" for my laptop bag for when I might actually need a 3 hour full charge. As long as my battery indicator shows full in the morning I don't need a shiny green "n".
The micro USB male to USB female converter is useful for USB hosting of thumb drives, USB mice, USB hubs (powered and non powered), WD passport hard drives, USB keyboards etc.

great idea im going to get one
thought I drop in and say I found one in my local Walmart a few days ago!
I've done just that with my Nook Color with a 99 cent picture frame stand from Walmart. It works groovy with my Powered USB Hub.

[Q] Looking for Nexus 7 essential accessories - what do you think they are?

I hope I'm posting in the right thread.
I'm looking into developing a backpack/case for all the essential accessories, each having its own pocket or spot. So far I've decided on:
Standard case/cover
Bluetooth keyboard
Stand (if not built into the cover)
Headphones
Speaker(s)
Extra long charging cable
Have I missed anything? What would you pack away for either school or business?

Other inclusions:
Stylus
Screen Cleaning Kit
Backup Charger
OTG Cable
OTG cable, and maybe that powerbank backup battery. oh and lcd cleaning kit just in case, lol
Great! Didn't think of those, thanks button pushed!
hey , you're welcome glad to help.
And maybe uh 3G modems if they can get to work thru the OTG cable
Some memory sticks to go with the OTG cable, or a low-power portable hard drive. A mini USB mouse. A 4-port USB hub for the keyboard, mouse, and memory stick/hard drive.

If you're talking essential, you can lose the BT keyboard, but add an extension cable to your extral long charging cable, that was a life saver the other week when the only power socket was on the other side of the hotel room.

IDK if this will get noticed in this thread, I spent maybe 20 mins working on it. Should I make a separate thread with this?

(Slightly) Different Micro USB Port??

So I have a cheap MicroUSB to USB Host dongle I have used with several of my phones and tablets, Including my SGS3 and Nexus7. It physically will not go into the port on the Note 2! I is like the little plastic flat pin thingy in the port is too wide for the slot inside the cable. I can't tell for sure. My other MicroUSB charge cables work fine, though. I don't get it.
It goes in part way but not fully connecting.
Kinda hard to see in this pic, but there seems to be an ever-so-slight difference in shape of the connector. Could have something to do with the cheap, generic quality of this adapter.
Update:
It's easier to see if you stack the Note 2 on another device so you have both ports next to each other. The plastic part that holds the USB pins inside the port (the "male" part if you will) is definitely wider than the one on the Nexus 7. May want to keep that in mind when ordering accessories. Does anybody have a confirmed-working MicroUSB to USB Host cable/adapter?
Hard to tell on my phone, but that black cable kinda looks like mini HDMI.

It's definitely MicroUSB and I have used it with my SGS3, Nexus 7, and several other devices. It just won't fit in my Note 2.
I have this cable and it works fine

I bought it to use with my broken Nexus 7 but worked seamlessly with my Note 2.
I upgraded to the Note 2 from an HTC EVO, and the EVO's charging cable would not fit in my Note 2. Blew my mind. It's the only micro USB that hasn't fit it so far.

Interesting. I upgraded from an EVO 3D and the "official" micro usb cable that came with my EVO 3D worked fine with the Note 2.
The Note 2 does seem to have a deeper socket which makes it so some micro USB cable won't stay put in the socket all that well because the part that grasps the tip is a tick deep in the socket.
to pass the time i took the 11pin micro USB plug apart...
heres how they get 11 pins into a 5 pin hole...

USB-c cable that fits with Official Adopted case.

I just bought a Anker USB-C to USB-A cable only to discover that it won't fit with my Nexus 5X when I have the phone in the Google adopted case.
Does anyone know of a USB-C to USB-A cable that has been verified to fit with the Google adopted case? I also have an aukey car charger that came with a cable that fits the phone with the case on but I want to leave that cable with the charger in the car.
I bought this pack of two one long one short and use it with adopted case without any problem so far.
