My CWM is gone? - K3 Note Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, yesterday i tried to install a new Custom ROM, this one: VIBEUI_V3.0_1553_7.394.1_DEV_K50-T5
But when i tried to install it through CWM, it showed that to failed to install the ROM. So at this moment, i have deleted my data cache, and removed everything through CWM (as recommended).
Now when i try to open CWM again by holding volume button up+down and the power button i get this screen: http://i.imgur.com/Zrlddse.jpg
And when i just boot it normally, i get stuck in this screen: http://i.imgur.com/gWIOCAD.jpg
Please guys, what can i do?:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Thank you!
That's the thing, i couldn't install TWRP or anything due my phone was "bricked" (i think).
But i have already managed to fix the problem. What i did was that I had to use SPFlash tool to install a new ROM (link below), and after that i installed TWRP 2.8.7.0, and after that i installed CM 1.2
I also wrote and got help in another forum and they linked me to use SPFlash tool with this ROM: http://www.movilesdualsim.com/tema/vibeui-by-xancin-moded-flashtools.101236/
It worked great and now my phone is functional again.
Hope this help other who have the same problem as i had

[Q] Boot freeze after trying to install Cyanogenmod

Hello XDA.
Being a tech illiterate noob, I rooted and tried to install the latest nightly build from cyanogenmod on my Optimus 2x. I gave clockworkmod superuser rights, booted in recovery mode and went on with the install.
Everything went fine (I think) until the phone rebooted. When it started, as usual, the LG logo is shown. Normally another LG logo comes up after the first one, only with an purple animation behind it.
When this comes up, it completely freezes at the very first frame of the animation. I tried waiting, I left my phone for over an hour, but nothing changed.
As previously stated, I am pretty tech illiterate, so of course I didn't make a copy of the original rom.
Now I can boot into something called Android system recovery <3e>, which says:
"Android system recovery <3e>
Android system recovery utility
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
__________________________
Formatting DATA:...
Formatting CACHE:...
Formatting MISC:...
"
And yes, of course I tried selecting that option, but neither of the keys work. The volume keys work as up and down keys, and the home button shows/hides the options.
I tried downloading the original rom from the giant thread of stock roms, but if you try clicking either of the links, you will see that they are broken.
HELP!
Have you tried the power button yet? Because the power button allows you to select things.
From there wipe everything (data, cache, dalvik) and make a fresh install of cm.

Looking at your menu description.....I dont see the option of "install from SD card" menu....
Did you install the ROM manager and through the wifi....get the CWM flashed for the device....
Check after tht....the CWM should be fine....

I installed ROM Manager yes. Do you mean that I should install CWM on my memory card? I'm not sure you understood me right, I can't get past the boot menu, meaning I can't install anything via the phone.

Some of the links there are broken, so I can't manage to complete the tutorial.
Also, I am very sorry, but I do not understand what you mean by that last part.
Let's see, you rooted, installed ROM Manager and Clockworkmod Recovery from within ROM Manager, rebooted and from Clockworkmod Recovery (Black Screen with Blue letters, lets you wipe and install zips from SD Card), you flashed the ROM, is that correct?
Can you boot into Recovery by holding the Power + Volume Down buttons? (hold for about 20 secs, until you get to the second LG screen)
If you can get to the recovery mode, try flashing another ROM.

You sir are correct!
I manage to start the phone as you describe, by holding down those two buttons I enter "Android System recovery <3e>", and can choose between the options as I described. HOWEVER, I can't select either of them, trying all the possible buttons (even combinations).
Update: I tried following this guide, but with no luck; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327599
Good
If you are in Clockworkmod, then you can browse through the menus using volume up/down to move up/down and press the search button (the magnifying glass) to accept or select an option.
I have a Optimus 2X Stockrom, i can upload the rom when i come home (you have to wait about 6 hours sorry ) Then flash the rom in cwm
Sorry for my english :/
Edit: It's the Europe Rom i hope this will help you too

The Europe Open could be what I'm looking for, thanks a lot! It's really hard to come by apparently.
Flashing it in CWM wont be possible though. Perhaps through PC software?
I will upload the Europe Open when i'm back from school.
You can flash the rom ether with cwm or with smartflash.
If you don't know how to flash it with smartflash i can explain it to you

Edit: I'm uploading the Rom now, but it will take some time (about 1 1/2 hours), because i upload with 90 kb/s.
That's your only solution, Flash some Stock ROM with a Tool from LG then root and flash a Custom one if you want.
I hope i can held you with this:

Thanks for quick reply. It looks that it is there (in fact, I never seen stock recovery before, but now it looks different like cwm), but I can access it only via RomManger... Is there other way how to boot in stock recovery? I can boot in download mode (menu + volume down + power), but in this mode i can't do anything ... :/
edit:

Good. Yeah, its different, and rommanager isn't compatible with stock recovery. You won't be able to flash anything but samsung-signed updates.
Not able to boot to recovery is well known. Good you found out. Have a look here..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2157105 for an easy way to enable three button combination :good:

Hehe, if I set reboot to recovery in RomManger after updating from cwm back to stock recovery, it reboot me in to Stock recovery
Btw, will flashing that 2MB file from "[HOW-TO] Enable Three Button Combo [RECOVERY]" increase binary counter? I know about TriangleAway, but for sure...
And one more question please. My story...
- I flashed pre-rooted 4.1.1 fw via odin
- than i installed RomManger and via it I install CWM
- than become 4.1.2 fw so I flashed this pre-rooted fw via odin - everything was good, phones restart after flash but boot in CWM??? Everything works good, but I was thinking, that with new fw the CWM will gone?!?
Trying to understand how android works (this is my first android phone, before that i had only symbian devices), i read many topic about s iii mini and it looks, that this phone in "unusual" android phone

Yeah, it will let you reboot to recovery but that's all. No flashing, no backups or anything. Kinda sad to install an app just to reboot :silly:
You probably have to use triangle away after that file even though the files are taken out of service-firmware, but it only takes a minute.
These firmwares doesn't normally include recovery..don't know why. Thats what I'm used to from other models, but not for this one.

[Q] 'Install zip' not visible

Hi guys,
I've a LG 4x (P880). So I want to install a custom ROM. My phone is rooted, has a unlocked bootloader and I've installed CWM. But when I'm in the recovery mode I don't see 'Install Zip'. I could only choose:
-reboot system now
-apply update from ADB
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-wipe nv partition
-toggle console VART log
What did/do I wrong?
Thanks in advance.

when you boot into recovery, it will look totaly different to what it looks like now. easiest way to install cwm is to install rom manager, and flash it trough it.
Well, my problem is increasing. I tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1826378 But he's now starting up at the LG logo fixed and that's it. I already tried 'kdz update recovery'. But the "R & D test tool" gives the error "Port (or device) not found!"
So, I can't boot and factory reset makes no difference

Yes, I could.

You may need to reflash the original firmware and then try again. It happened to me and the phone got stuck in the boot logo.
To reflash use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723
To flash the recovery, I used this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180138

[Q] Problem with flashing rom (samsung galaxy mini gt s5570)

Hello,
i am new to the forum and i registered in it in order to have a solution on my problem! I downloaded recenlty cyanogenmod for my mobile for your site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085347
Before i had android 2.3.3 in my phone! The problem is when i flash the rom i get this error: E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip (Status 0)
I have searched the forum for previous similar threads and i followed many of them! However because i am not very expert in these kind of things i was confused in many points of them (for example one which explaned the root of the problem something has to do with the binary update and a script)..And i was not given detailed commands on solving the problem I formatted my sd card (after taking a backup on my pc) and only transfered after, the update for cyanogen mod 10.1 and the one for the google apps but the same problem occured. I desperately need your help because i cant practically use my mobile and i need it...
So please tell me what should i do.
Thank you in advance! Sorry for my bad english
(i also have rooted long time ago my phone)

i thins it is samsung recovery! the samsung logo in on the screen and up left:
RANDUMP Mode (ARM9mode)
If you want to flash custom ROMs, you must have custom recovery, like ClockWorkMod, RZ Recovery or TWRP.
You will need to flash it using Odin first, and then you can change recovery by just flashing packages. (You don't must change recovery after you flash from Odin.)

CWM Recovery in Chinese, please help

Hi guys,
I've got two Lenovo K3 Notes both have CWM in Chinese, when I try to enter it via Volume up + Power Button.
I've tried to flash a new version of CWM on top of that but it's still showing up in Chinese, I've followed this guide:

The recovery I have now is the following:

Which is not letting me do anything....
Any tips & tricks would be appreciated... I need to get this running a normal CWM in order to root and install GAPPS to the device.
Thx!
