No Marshmallow update even on pure stock - Infinix HOT 2

i've got the x510 with 2gb of ram version. it came with the latest October update presintalled build 20151012. till now checking for update doesn't reflect the Marshmallow update.
recovery is not working (even by adb it goes to an android pic with no text or No Command available)
tried flashing recovery, no luck, reflashed all the available stock roms on the forum with no luck neither, no recovery and no marshmallow update
all flashing was done through SP Flash, with format or download only, no difference. stock original cable was used, vcom drivers present and SP tool read the phone perfectly.
X510-D5110-Androidone-20150824, X510-D5110-Androidone-20151012, X510-A1-FIX-20150824.
i even tried flashing twrp and pushing the Marshmallow update through it which never succeeded
any idea ? hint ? help item that i can do ?

You must be in 2015 December 5.1.1 update to Install Marshmallow. 20150824 or 20151012 will NOT support directly install MM.
So update to 2015 December update. If you cant find through OTA, just manually download the OTA from forum (search somewhere).
to access recovery : go to adb and reboot to recovery. U will see the Android Logo without any text. Here press the Power and Volume+ button for 5 seconds and leave the keys. u will see the recovery menu.

Was he updating via OTA? was the device's bootloader unlocked? Assuming it wasn't and that he had no recovery installed.
Anyways, Try this:
- Turn off phone
- Press & Hold 'Volume Down' + 'Power' to get to bootloader screen.
- Once on it, Press 'Volume Down' ONCE to select Recovery.
- and then press 'Volume Up' to enter stock recovery
- wait for the dead android guy (this is stock recovery).
- Now Press 'Volume Up' + ' Power' multiple times, until it takes you to a recovery with options.
- Now Wipe Partition Cache, and then do a Factory Wipe.
This should get the phone booting.
Nevertheless,
Here's the link to the Android 6.0 Official firmware (since you said it failed while updating):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-firmware-titan-xt1068-t3312933
PS: Trying to downgrade to lollipop after marshmallow upgrade has bricked devices because of old bootloader being flashed which leads to partition corruption. ergo - BRICKED DEVICE.
Incase you wish to downgrade to Lollipop 5.0.2, you'll find links to other thread with the guide & ROM download links here:

Hope this helped! :fingers-crossed::good:
Since it failed during update i don't know whether its on lollipop boot loader or marshmallow. But to be on safe side i will install 6.0 because it will upgrade bootloader.
Thanks for reply i will post later when i get phone.

Hello, I'm having a similar issue as well. I just unlocked my bootloader and rooted my phone via this method of temporary custom recovery. If I understand correctly, I still have stock recovery. My phone got wiped in the process but once it booted back up, I noticed the new system update. However when I try to install it, it keeps failing. I keep getting an error message that says something similar to "Update unsuccssful : The system update could not be installed for some reason. No changes were made". Would I be able to install the OTA update manually if I were to download the Android 6.0 Official firmware you've linked in the post? By copying it to my SD card > booting into stock recovery > install from sdcard? Also, would greatly appreciate it if you have any suggestions about other ROMs if you think they're better than this official one.
Relevant details:
Android version: 5.0.2
System version: 22.56.3.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03.retin
Edit: Oh never mind, the above method didn't work. Got this instead.

I haven't got to testing the stock MM ROM as of yet, So I wouldn't compare it with other ROMs, however there are quite a few 6.0 based ROMs in the android development section, and ofcourse CM13 in the original android development section . You can have a look at those.
As for the error, it's because the link I gave is not for any OTA zip, it has the system files which are fastboot flashable, use the auto restore script available in the thread to install 6.0 on your device(since it has been wiped recently, I'm guessing you aren't gonna lose any data).
Also, Once upgraded to 6.x, DO NOT downgrade to 5.x without reading proper instructions. The FAQ and General thread is full of posts with people bricking their devices. Read instruction if downgrading!
I hope this helped! Happy flashing! :fingers-crossed:

Yeah, I figured it out. Seems that I wasn't able to get the OTA update working because of root, which was contrary to what the guys in the above thread had me believe. I took a look at some of the ROMs but wasn't feeling confident about any of them, so have decided to stick with 6.x stock until a stable version appeals to me. And yeah, I read that the bootloader version is upgraded in 6.x which seems to be causing the hard bricks. Thanks for the assist btw, cheers!

you can downgrade, but right after you start up it'll auto-upgrade to 3.0 again so pretty pointless.

what if i flash the 2.1 firmware, flash twrp right after and restore a backup from 2.1 with data, so that it doesnt force the update?
Hi, the links points to 3.1 firmware.
Here are the 2.1 Links
http://drivers.softpedia.com/downloadTag/SHIELD+Android+TV+Firmware+2.1
This is useful for remix os on shield TV.
Is this for installation via fastboot flash? Every time ive flashed the images from the nvidia support site it bricked my device.
I have figured out how to roll back to Lollipop.
First download the ROM nv-recovery-image-shield-atv-upgrade2_1_dev_rooted.zip.
Next download twrp-multirom-20151112-UNOFFICIAL-foster.img.
Boot SATV into Fastboot.
Extract and flash staging blob, boot.img, system.img, userdata.img (this will wipe the internal storage) and dtb file.
Reboot back into Fastboot.
Flash TWRP then boot directly into recovery (do not reboot).
From TWRP mount system as read-write.
Use the file manager to navigate to /system/app/TegraOTA.
Delete all files within the folder TegraOTA.
Reboot normally and go through the first time setup wizard. SATV will not download the OTA update and remain on 5.1 Lollipop.
Despite the title saying 5.0.2, the current firmware downloads seem to be available here (including the dev_rooted version!) with no Nvidia developer account required:

Hello i dont know if i in the right Thread here.

And decided that i wanted to go back to stock.
I dowloaded shield-atv-2017 and followed the fastboot guide and transfered all the img to my 2017 nvidia.
When i reboot the message appears that BOOTLOADER is unlocked and after a few sec it shows the nvidia logo and then nothing...

Doogee X5 - TWRP install

Hi,
I'm having a problem installing TWRP on my doogee X5, in order to root the device. I have tried to flash the recovery with sp flash tool, and every time I try, I can boot to the boot mode menu, select "recovery" and see the doogee logo for a while, then a black screen, then the doogee logo again, following into a normal boot.
This is the X5, not the X5 pro.
firmware on phone: "DOOGEE-X5-B-Android5.1-2016.03.18"
Any help?
PS: I don't want to use kingroot to root the phone, as I also want xposed.
I'm looking for a solution to that very problem too. Let's see if someone comes to help!
Exactly the same goes here too. Probably there's not an updated TWRP for V18 which I am using. I have not the slightest idea who could help us.
Rooting Doogee X5 / TWRP install
Here's what worked for me, thought I'd share this.
Out of the box was on version 18 and wanted to root , so i blindly installed King Root which did work, i then installed Supeer SU me which changed the king root to super user. After that over a week i read that TWRP 3.0.2 worked for one person so using Flashify i flashed the recovery image , after changing it to recovery.img and it worked . Such luck right, i went on to read the forums as im in love with this device , Wakefield helpful was NEEDROM.com , you need to register but there are many roms and tools for mediatek 6580soc . Out of curiosity i downloaded some rar. File roms ACS different fish tools. The best to use if you've only got oneX5 is SP flash tool. Also look for mediatek vcom drivers which auto installs the correct drivers. There are easy to follow you tube videos fur flashing using SP Flash tool. The latest version had been updated for simplicity. the process basically is ( load .bin file in its respective area,( from Flash tool) and load scatter.txt in its box ( from rar. File) the whole interface will polemist populate plug go to format hit start plug in turned off phone without battery, it'll give red then yellow bar and a check, then unplug hi to firmware screen and choose to start dload only except bootloader, start , plug wait for coloured bars and check your done. i even had gotten errors due to a faulty dload and repeated the process till i got it. I understand that not all have the patience for this, therefore i suggest using flash tool of king root messes up though that's rare.
An alternative to supersu me is to root with king root then install twrp with flashify then you can uninstall / repack king root and flash Updateroot.Script available by someone on needrom. That includes super user and busy box. Then installxposed. Etc.
* Each process in the above proven tuturial has been obtained online from other sites not just xda. I've chosen 5.1 as an idealOS for me, I can't say the route to take fur Marshmallow.
This is for -b and non b only version 18, and 19. All others take your own chances but it's resilient chip so have fun.
(SOLVED just flash DOOGEE-X5-HOT2-6.0.zip and the twrp from the rom is installed and works after rebooting in recovery mode.) after flashing CWM recovery

ROM Version: 6.0 / 5.1 to my doogeex5 (flashing succeed) i got an green android logo with an error sighn(see picture)and some chinese letters...
in normal boot no problem, also upgrading to android 6 (flashed) gave no problem...
how to get new recovery(flashing other recovery`s gave same output exept the chinese sighns disapeard)
kingroot V4.80 couldnt root my doogeex5 after 27%rooting it says cant root device
also doesnt the system update in `my device` recognice the memory card ...no sd card inserted...
any suggestions?
I have a similar problem. Unlocking the boot loader works fine, but i can't seem to find a working twrp file for my phone.
I have an X5 pro (x5pro-android5.1-r17-2015.07.01). I tried different twrp recoverys from needrom and i can flash them to the device, but if i try to boot into recovery i only get the robot with the red warning triangle. Rest of the phone works fine, but i'd like to get a working custom recovery.
Can anyone help me?
So i rooted my phone with kingroot and i wanted to install a custom recovery without breaking the device how should i move next ? My X5 is an old motherboard version android 5.1 V15-2015.11.02 and that was the last official fota update for me. Is there any ofgicial upgrade suitable for my model like android 6.0 ? Two more things. My battery goes down rapidly and i dont know if its battery or chargers problem what should i do ?
http://www.needrom.com/category/doogee/serial-x-doogee/x5-doogee/
even without rooted phone you can flash a lot of roms from above link and read how to
Yeah i noticed this site man but says you need to register first. And one more thing spft always detects scatter files as invalid or maybe not legal even from the official site of doogee. I use the spft from doogeemobile site.
I am using SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Linux_v5.1520.00.100 with ubuntu(linux) maybe try an other flashtool edition, registering needrom is simple just making username and make a password when you are registered take the inifix hot 2.6.0 for the x5 flash it and you have got also a TWRP from wich you can root or install also the .zip roms etc.
I mentioned the inifix hot2.6.0 because that was the one i had succes even with a bricked recovery caused by flashing a cwm recovery without rooting first.
Well i just want for sure make a backup of my current rom without wiping it. I guess the infinit will delete all. Plus i also want to install recovery having rooted it 1st which is easy i think on 5.1. I have the one with the old motherboard not the -b. To sum up i want to install the official updated rom V20 via sd (which i tried and didnt work) luckily it didnt brick or via spft which doesnt load scatter file says is not valid no matter if i use latest or older version of spft in order to flash it manually. Its risky to root and install a recovery by an apk without having my rom backed up 1st. And even with the spft i cant do that. I just want to fix my battery status. Thats all. I use xp pro os.
indeed it is hard to install android 5.1 roms on the doogee x5with a twrp,al the 5.1 roms i could flash, but then i bricked the recovery, wich made no differend for the installed 5.1 roms, they just work.i can only install a working twrp by flashing Infinix Hot 2 6.0,wich is a 6.0 rom,but as far as i know you cant install a 5.1 rom with a 6.0 twrp... error 7.
Thats why we will end this discussion for now and wait for future solutions. Thx for your concern man. I just dont want to brick it since it runs smoothly with 5.1. As i said before i wanted to install the latest (official stock) V20 rom recently released. But i cant do it even from the tutorial that exists on their forum. It's a use of spft but i cant manage to do it. Scatter file always invalid.V20 Rom fixes some bugs and displays your interface like on 6.0 android version. We talk mate.
Hello !
Any news on the matter ?
I have got an X5 with Android 6 (!) on it. Have tried to root it with several one-click tools but this does not work.
Any suggestions?
Hi! What room do you recommend The most stable, And best, Under flashtool To Doogee X5? Thanks in advance for help!
hello i need help on my doogee x5 all 6.0 custom rom flash give me error 11 on twrp how to fix please ,
Any help please?
I have error 7 on all rom
Help?
Having tried to install TWRP it is rejected
Having downloaded twrp_x5max.img from needrom and used the adp method of installing the TWRP.img (https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/). I get the following error message. "writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: download for partition 'recovery' is not allowed".
So How do I get the TWRP img loaded into the Doogee X5Max (not pro) android with marshmallow?
I have tried using SP FlashTool and it says installed successfully, but I still get the default recovery program, after the dead robot with triangle and a exclamation mark inside, when booting into recovery using keys or adb command.
Is there another way of getting this image file loaded into the recovery partition?
I have followed all the set up steps in developers mode, so why cannot I use adb?

OTA ROM help needed

I am using Spice dream uno mi-498 H with stock ota. Never unlocked boot-loader or rooted my phone. Yesterday my phone went into bootloop.
I tried factory reset through recovery but still the problem remained.

I will go for the second option. Please clear my doubts about unlocking bootloader. I read several posts on xda regarding that but still needs some clarification.
1. It is not necessary to enable USB debugging. Am I Right?
2. I downloaded Android one toolkit but it is not detecting my phone. Probably drivers are not installed ?
If yes then how to install drivers? I tried pda net but it is asking for usb debugging.

Hello,
What zip did you tried to install via stock recovery?
FYI - you can't just flash any OTA [Like 6.0* via MOB31E] you must need a custom recovery to do that.
Okay, if it's still looping like infinitely, just try installing custom recovery via fastboot... And once you get custom recovery like twrp, perform a clean wipe and flash full stock zip.
If you still failed, then simply visit a service centre near by and ask them for downgrade it to either Kitkat or 5.1 LP.
I'm not gonna recommend you to use SPFT yourself, Cuz there are Buncha cases over here.. ie; phone got hard bricked while using SPFT... So just visit a service centre nearby and fix it.
Update - I was passionate about stock ROM as I wanted to reciece ota updates. Unfortunately things went in a different way. After trying few stock ROM which failed to install, finally I decided to use a custom ROM. I unlocked the OEM, flashed TWRP recovery and then cyanogen mode.
Welcome me to the CM community.
In first hour of my use, I am missing FM radio along with ota. Also the screen seems dull even if I turn off LiveDisplay. Any quick suggestions for new users of CM?

Revert back to stock firmware for Motorola One Power

How to revert back to stock firmware
October 26, 2018
WARNING :do not try to downgrade your device.
For example, if you are on September security patch level (on stock firmware) and rooted your device or installed a custom ROM and if you want to revert back to stock firmware then flash the firmware which have September Or greater then September Security patch level.
As downgrading (flashing firmware of older versions or older security patches) can result in hard bricking of your device.
As in example, if you flash august security patch firmware your device may got bricked and believe me guys you don't want it!!).
If however you flashed downgraded firmware then it's recommended to do not update your device via OTA. Wait for latest stock firmware or update and flash it.
Fastboot adb files or platform tool links given below
Fastboot- https://androiddatahost.com/wp-conte...oot_v1.4.3.zip
Platform tools- https://developer.android.com/studio...ools#downloads
Motorola driver- http://www.motorola.com/getmdmwin
Stock fastboot firmware August security patch- https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware...d50_oem.tar.gz
Now sit back and follow these steps
1.install motorola USB driver, fastboot adb files or platform tools or you'll get adb files inside that firmware folder..
2. Extract tar.gz file through winrar in a folder, copy adb files in that same folder
3. Boot your phone to bootloader screen for that power off your device press volume down following by power button..
4. In that extracted folder press shift in your keyboard and right click on the mouse in a blank space you'll get a option called "open windows command here" type 'fastboot devices' to make sure your device is connected
Exit that cmd window and double click on 'flashall'.bat file(it'll available in the folder) sit back and relax it'll flash your stock firmware...
For more enquiries join telegram group of Motorola one power official
https://t.me/MotoOnePower
Now we can update monthly security patches after flashing this above firmware
1.download ota zip https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PUDntncjTNeqgCyzvqCjdCLpNF3ElxZx/view?usp=drivesdk
move or copy update.zip in SD card into root directory...
2.boot into bootloader scroll down to recovery through volume down button--hit power button to enter recovery mode, once you enter you'll see a "no command" massage, don't panic.hold power button and press once volume up.now a new menu will open.
3.navigate the option called update from sdcard(volume down, hit power button to enter)
4.find update.zip and hit power button..sit back and relax it'll take time to complete the update process...??
Hey,
You did a great job bro, but i want to give you a suggestion, plzz add a warning that flash latest stock firmware with latest security patch only, do not try to downgrade your device.

Go this link above as mentioned

And unlock the bootloader first.
Then install it. After installing the rom, see if it boots. Let it boot the first time.
Then go back to fastboot mode and relock the bootloader.
Don't do both of these at the same time.
Worked for me.

Look at the 2nd method in this thread.
Good luck.
Time to upgrade PIE
WARNING: (DO NOT DOWNGRADE YOUR DEVICE)
(From Android pie to Oreo)you may face IMEI and RIL issues later..this process will erase all your internal memory..so do take a backup before proceeding...
You can follow earlier process for upgrading to Android pie..
Flashall.bat should be with in your pie firmware folder
Just double click on it and you good to go...

We are working on it, it's something related with splash screen or boot img.
I already updated to January security update and messed up which caused a bootloop on my device. can anyone point me to a stock ROM which won't brick my phone? I don't care about my data, just want the phone in working condition again.

Also should I unlock bootloader for this?
i rooted my phone after unlocking bootloader but i messed up in the process and my phone went to bootloop and then when i relock bootloader it said "your device is untrusted nd wont boot" but somehow i managed now to flash stock rom but when iam booting it is showing in booting screen "your device has downloaded different os" well after that it is booting fine and phone is running also fine .. is this any problem .. will it create any problem ? and how do i update ota updates which comes in future ???\
