Did you lock your bootloader before doing so? Also, I believe this will delete your internal SD. Last time I did the update, it deleted everything on my phone, I've never experienced this but it did last time. Just a headsup to backup just in case.

@ink718 ... Do i also need to lock my bootloader first if i am uograding to this MM 6.20.651.3 ? Bcoz 4.25 was keep giving error saying battery is below 30% .. even when my battery was full.

are you still rooted? i thought that root disables OTA, so you'd have to temporary unroot first too.. also do you use stock recovery? (just to be sure)
for OTA you need to be:
- On stock rom
- On stock recovery
- On original CID (or supercid)

no problem mate, i'd really like to help you
but right now i have no more idea, because i think everything is prepared the way it should be but still there's this error... the last thing you could try is to put the CID back to the original one (the one you had before supercid) and try again..
but it's confusing me because the first update worked and the second now is stuck...

there is NO 4.2.2 RUU you have to flash a 4.1.2 RUU and then update to 4.2.2
i recommend to flash (ARHD 12.2) its the latest update and has tons of features,
Solutions:
Change everything to original CID, MID, boot and recovery..... no need to relock or anything else...you're S-OFF.
Do a wipe cache and davlink, reboot, and try to update
If it doesn't work..
Flash your RUU again (the one that match to your software and carrier), and ota update everything again... don't waste time trying anything else.. I would choose this one, so you garantee that nothing interfere and you have a stock phone.
is this going to work for me http://androidteen.com/htc-one-updat...cial-firmware/ ??? sorry im noob in flashing roms i know basics only...if you have the 4.1.2 ruu please provide me with instructions...thanks a lot....btw i make my CID back to normal but still have the problem
or should i use this one http://www.androidruu.com/getdownload.php?file=M7/PN07IMG_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.13_Radio_4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01_release_316789_signed.zip
it is my build is 1.29.401.16 and radio 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01

[Q] Need help updating HTC One m7 to 4.4 kitkat

My HTC one m7 is originally att but is unlocked to T-Mobile and has Android 4.1, but I want to install the update firmware 4.4 and it downloads from Ota off of att software update app, but when I proceed and it restarts the phone the update stops around the beginning and gives me a red triangle and fails. Anyone know why this is?? Also battery is charged passed 50%, s-on, no root. Any help please?

By 100% stock you mean 100% AT&T service and everything?
Well then how would I go about it or would I have to manually get kitkat? Really it should be easier than that... Will T-Mobile latest firmware work without root or s-off ? Or maybe Google play edition firmware Rom.

looks like you did not read the link I have posted above.
The ota installation abort when it detect unexpected content of either /system files or /data/preload files. every files to be patched are checked by the updater script of the ota. it must be 100% stock, otherwise your recovery will stop the installation and show you this red triangle with an exclamation mark inside. you must either restore the deleted/modified files or restore your phone to stock (i.e using a ruu).

Well it's not as easy as you think ... lollipop is 7.x and the RUU your using is 4.x ?
The way I do it on AT&T is flash 4.x firmware followed by the 4.x RUU.exe and then OTA back to 5.x

Unable to post links at the moment, you can get any firmwqre your looking for from Android file host, just google it, once there type in the firmware number into the search bar.
That's firmware isn't bad, its just modified to remove the red text at the begining of the boot processes, just don't go s-on with that on your phone, it will brick it.

You need a full firmware package to be sure, ota will just be partial updates, the way to find out is when you ha e finished updating all that you want, see if the red text has come back at the begining of the boot, white screen with green HTC logo, red text at the bottom.

I'm in same situation as animeva. Going from kitkat to this. Apologies for trying to jump ahead. But I flashed the Rom first, then I realized I needed to update the firmware with the modified firmware that was posted. However, I'm still stuck in twrp recovery. I am S-off though.

Make sure to update TWRP Recovery to latest version, which is currently 2.8.60. Then reflash the ROM. Here's the link to it: https://dl.twrp.me/m7/
Currently stuck on htc one splash screen. Tried the 6.16 frmw also didn't work. Can't get past logo screen..

Have you updated your hboot recently?
The last couple updates require the hboot to be updated or the rom won't boot.
yup the hboot is current 1.6.1. I was on 1.54 before. Would you recommend I wipe the Cache and System file from recovery and try reflashing the rom? There's also a Repair File System feature in Twrp, would that work?
Any this point I'll be happy to get any rom going. But say if I flash to a different rom with like a 7.19 base, would I be able to go back to a stock 7.19 official rom once it gets released?

As far as I know 7.19 is not a Sprint rom...so it most likely won't work unless it's Sprint compatible.
Your best bet would be to RUU and start fresh.

Hi, thanks for providing the Rom zip.
Can you provide a custom recovery or have you tried to build one?
The one I tried to port boots but the touchscreen is not working.

How i can Flash firmware my A9s? It's my first HTC phone
copy file on microSD card, rename it 2PWDIMG.zip and reboot to bootloader (turn of, keep volume down pressed and press power).
But be very careful that you flash the right RUU or you can brick your phone !

This RUU is a flashable zip with the full set of the ROM and firmware files from HTC itselve, so you can set back the whole phone like new if you messed up something like boot or recovery or want to flash radio or something else.
You should read some more in the HTC forum to get those special HTC things, that can help you understand more with those things and you get your phone better known.:good:

Those ones I tried to port, only start sometimes and after a long time (after about more than a minute!) and the touchscreen does never work!
