You cant flash Open Gapps with this rom. Just says not enough internal space error code 70. This problem is not so on other roms for this device. Rom flashes and is smooth Its just the Gapps.

needs in twrp create new slot with more space for system

I wanted to use on safe slot but will try on virtual slot so I can make partition bigger and see what happens. I will let you know.

I flashed on safe slot and slot 4 could not get Gapps to work. When I flashed Gapps on slot 1 and slot 3 they worked perfectly but need to set system to 1000 and data to 3100

Hi,
try install LOS and enable root on dev.options, after dirty flash RR. didn`t use Magisk or supersu

this rom seems to have a lot of tweaks and mods, does it provide ad-hoc wifi out of the box? I.e. modified wpa_supplicant?

Why didn't I think of that dah lol. On the first try it didn't work ss gave me incompatible data so what I did was a factory restore from recovery then try to flash but incompatible data still so I manually wiped everything and reflashed lineageos booted the device then enabled in dev.options root and then reflashed and it finally went through it flashed and I have root :good:. Im gonna see if I can get either magisk or supersu working after I make a back up. If im able to get one of the two working then I will let you know.

ok, i redownloaded your zip then downloaded the su addon from lineageos and placed those files manually into system where they belong in the zip of the rom then opened up build prop and added the code line persist.sys.root_access=1 and then flashed. no longer need to dirty flash to have root. Fresh install works after doing those steps. Just thought id let you know for your next build.

is there french support?

First time installing crDroid to your Pixel 3XL, or coming from another ROM:
1) You should be using the most current factory images from Google
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe/Advanced Wipe: Dalvik / ART Cache, system and data
4) Flash the ROM zip (PixelGAPPS are Included)
5) Flash the TWRP install zip
6) Reboot (You'll see "No OS Installed", this is normal on A/B devices)
7) For root, AFTER you boot into crDroid, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

No worries very interested in checking out your rom.
Since this includes Pixel gapps, does this mean the original pixel 3 launcher is included?!
Really Excited to see crDroid is coming for the pixel 3XL - dissapointed that I can't download right now - but I understand - these things happen - looking forward to when things have been straightened out and the download link is working again - thank you so much for the work you have put into this ROM - can't wait to flash!
No need to apologize! I am pumped to flash this though. I saw you have a Havoc folder along with this CrDroid folder under Crosshatch on AndroidFileHost. Are you building that ROM too? You are awesome either way, but Havoc would be so dope!
How can I use Stock Pixel launcher from the PlayStore with this ROM? Is it possible?
Ran this on my OG Pixel XL, love it. @hokiealumnus is the Man! But, thank you for maintaining our device. I can't wait to take it for a spin...
Crdroid just keeps on following me around. Great ROM on my old Oneplus 5. It was one of the early roms to get wifi calling working on my op5 with AT&T. I look forward to giving it a run.

Bugs:
wifi 5ghz not working in some countries, 2.4ghz working fine.
Magisk dont work, dont patch boot.img manually, workaround unzip this modded apk and rename apk to zip, the flash via recovery
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing!
If you believe you know what you're doing and do a "dirty" flash - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM, (optional GApps) and transfer them to your device(or sideload via adb)
2. Boot to recovery.
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work) or Magisk, use this mod
6. Reboot and set up your device.

I warmly welcome.
Despite my 73 years of age, I am a user of your ROMs. Thank you for your innovative work. I am always waiting for your new products that I use and I am very pleased. Best wishes.
This is awesome. Android 11 on an almost 7 years old tablet is just amazing. I really appreciate that.
A build for SGP611 would be nice.
Thank you for keeping this device alive! There is no other good 8inch tablet on the market to replace it.
Flashed your recovery to FOTAKernel and installed LOS 18.1. Bang! Now installing my apps, testing. Thanks for your development as there is no alternative for this device on the market.
My SD-card is not recognized - no hardware issue. Worked before flash and is recognized by Win10. Anyone else with this problem? I installed LOS 18.1 and MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm-20210328_143701.

Works for me too now.
Just one little thing I´ve got used to since LOS 15.1: When device is powered off and is charging, panel backlight is on.
do you think this rom could be flashed onto SGP611 (wifi only)?
Asking about the install procedure coming from stock MM 23.5.A.1.291: Do I have to fastboot flash boot boot.img before flashing recovery?
This was not necessary coming from LOS 15.1 - but a second SGP621 is on stock (and I don´t remember what I did coming from stock to LOS 15.1 if this matters).

Hi, GPS now work. I have to insert sim card.
Hello.
Recovery in OP is TWRP? Which version?
I just tried to flash rom with TWRP 3.0.2 but with no effort. Flashing your recovery from TWRP also didn't succeed. Need to refresh my memory how to flash it from PC then.
Anyway, thanks for your work! I used your 15.1 rom, but I do need working Firefox.
One question: do I need to flash AddonSU to root available?
Regards.

Probably not there's a bunch of edits to the rom to make the experience better such as removing audiofx and allowing anyone to record calls that there is absolutely no way i could get away with continuing, i would not be able to make gapps included builds which I've been considering because of the current issues with flashing gapps, and finally there's quite a few stability issues that i would like to get fixed first. It also doesn't really take any burden off since the only difference would be hosting and the fact they build on their own servers iirc and since i build with my own hardware generally using a script it isn't really a burden. There's also the fact that ota updates don't seem to work currently despite the fact I've specified my own json to the updater which it should be able to use but it always fails at installing.

This works great. At least as good as the other lineage 18.1 rom here. I'm glad to not be running a year old rom on this thing. The only gripe I have with it is that I cant figure out how to get the LED to indicate when I plug the phone in to charge.
I've tried installing this rom a couple times now but it keeps getting stuck on boot.
I've managed to get TWRP installed and working but when I try to install the ROM from within TWRP, both with or without the gapps, it just gets stuck at the loading screen. I do get the LineageOS logo animation but that's where it gets stuck.
I've installed TWRP using fastboot which has worked several times now (had to reset the entire device with the rescue and smart assistant from Lenovo).
I wiped the data using both the general wipe option and the "advanced wipe" option, selecting only the first 3 options that I get.
I then install the zip file of the ROM itself.
As mentioned I've tried doing this with and without the gapps but it gets stuck either way. I've had it once where it also just doesn't boot up at all and reboots itself into the bootloader.
Am I doing something wrong here? I'm not sure since most ROM installations don't exactly come with a very detailed guide. Tried a few so far but no luck with any.

Also, there's no gapps for android 12
Does it have vanilla setup wizard with QR code provisioning of a device owner?

Just installed this ROM and unfortunately wasn't able to initiate QR code provisioning at all. Is it something that is not deliberately included, or it's just missing?

Hey, did you do the firmware updating as linked in the OP?.....if so, heimdall or odin? I'm concerned about the bright red warning about only using on Lineage 19.1....
I see in the install instructions that it says to use crdroid recovery. Is this a requirement or just a suggestion?
I successfully installed using latest lineage recovery, and MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220605.
Really hoping there can be another crdroid release soon.
I had a bit of trouble getting my bootloader unlocked and LOS recovery installed. I managed to do it and then installed latest LOS. But I really want to be using crdroid. Problem is LOS recovery sees the latest crdroid as a "SPL downgrade". Can I overcome this without having to flash stock?
I currently have an older Lineage recovery on my tablet and am trying to flash the crdroid recovery from the op. ADB/fastboot is not working for me while in download mode....what is the procedure to flash recovery? Damn I am missing twrp!!
EDIT: Ok, got it flashed by changing to .tar and using Odin
No sooner did I ask about a new release than one appears on crdroid.net. thanks @DarkJoker360
Ok, absolutely hate the new taskbar ......anyone know how to get rid of it?
How can I find CRDroid Recovery?
