it turn on and it shows a battery icon with an orange line at the bottom, after a few minutes the screen change to fastboot screen please help it was never connected to any computer so when i plugged into my computer does not regonize it ,thanks in advance.

i bought the kindle fire HD 3rd gen from 2013. I rooted it, but the update to OS 4.5.5 removed the root permissions. Is there still a way to root it or do I have to downgrade it? If I have to, how can I do it? I only found tutorials for other devices or OS.

I have kindle fire hd7 4TH GEN with google play store unrooted. ive bricked it twice but recovered with a linux usb. It currentlyvhas 5.3.1.0 .
i want to root it but find the guides so confusing can anyone help simplify or point me in the right direction.

I agree. I have a 4th generation as well. I've been rooting devices for years but I can't seem to track down anything for the 4th edition. Any help would be appreciated.

remove advertising.
things I can not do with Fire os 5.4.0.1:
root
change recovery
change rom
return to a version of previous Fire Os

I don't believe Amazon publicly posted that build which came preloaded on the initial wave of 7th gen devices. 5.4.0.0 was the first downloadable build for the Fire 7 (aka 7th gen).
