@aftermath85 i can confirm this worked on A800Y or A800YZ. Use flashify and select "file way" to flash, not normal ways. Big thanks to @SerenityS

Is it hard for you to make this one for A700F too?
It uses the same processor as this. Exynos 5430.

@ashyx
Nope i run that one now.
But it's not 3.0.0.
I am trying to build Marshmallow for A700F and i don't know if it will require 3.0.0 to flash it.
But i am still having some build issues. I have a basic Device tree but i am not sure that it's enough.
Unfortunately no one I ask responds to my messages. Not much help from people i'm afraid. Real pitty........

It doesn't matter what recovery version you have any will do as long it can flash update zips, which pretty much every custom recovery does.

Ok. Thanks.
I know from my HTC time that we did need certain versions of twrp for a specific android versiion.
And i saw in RR thread that someone had to use twrp 3.0.0 for it.
But i will first try to get my rom to build fully.

Heya all~
Last thing we have got TWRP 2.8.7.0, and now we get TWRP 3.0 :victory:
The bad thing is... No material design and cant mount adoptable storage. Well, we dont need fancy design, we just need the function, isn't it?
Well, here are the download link (Flashable Zip)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911970726
How To Install via Flashtool
- Extract the zip
- Put the correct android scatter into 1 folder.
- For Android One rom use MT6580_Androidone_blablabla
- For Infinix Rom use MT6580_infinix_ROM_blablabla
- Flash it.
How to Install via Flashable Zip
- Go to TWRP (NOT STOCK RECOVERY)
- Just install the zip
- Reboot recovery
- Done.

Please after install the recovery, then go to twrp, dont go to homescreen, becouse if you go to homescreen after install the recovery, system will replace the twrp with the stock one.
After you go to twrp, swipe to allow modification and reboot.

OK, I'll try to disable wanam's power menu and flash TWRP. I'll write the result. ...
I disabled wanam's power menu, flashed TWRP 3.0.0 without autoreboot ticked and rebooted into recovery.
Then I set time settings in TWRP and started backup. Backup completed...
Reboot from TWRP (Reboot System) - Reboot normal !!!
I will watch its behavour ... and perhaps the problem is solved.

Here is what I did:
I flashed the recovery via flashify.
I rebooted the device normally.
After the phone restarts, it shows the Yellow colored warning Set warrenty bit: recovery.
The device boots into TWRP recovery mode.
After that I press reboot -> system.
After restart, it goes back to step 3.
Thank you.
That seems like you have flashed the boot partition with the recovery.img.
Please don't flash with Flashify. You cannot trust that it is flashing correctly.
Use the recovery image flash option in TWRP itself or use ODIN.

If we reboot directly to recovery, i mean through wannam xpossed power menu, recovery reboot issue occurs.. Pls fix this too..
Otherwise all are perfect

Looking at the recovery log it seems there is an issue loading the graphics, so I have reverted one of the flags that I think is causing the issue.

I DIRECT YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS THREAD INSTEAD: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-how-to-root-mate-9-decrypt-data-t3569986
It's easier as you don't need to get a decrypted boot image.
Thank you ajsmsg78 for your work on this.
If you rooted using this method you don't need to re-root. Only difference is that SuperRoot patches boot image to "decrypt" automatically.
Perfect. Will try this later and report back. Thank you!

About safeness, worst case you can use FunkyHuawei to restore (Unless you're using the US C567, and it's not a free service). But restoring stock boot using fastboot should be enough, and you would do a data wipe in vain.

So... To be clear for the folks that need clarity (me) to prevent messing up a device without a downloadable full ROM (though I'll do a full TWRP Backup to the best of my ability post step one), the current US only build appropriate boot image is B138?

Just a tip, wipe dalvik & cache after flashing, fixed some small bugs for me (Not being able to get into developer options)
Also, RSA breaks if you flash the wrong boot image (165 on 138) so no adb

I'm gonna fix that in the boot.img. I had issues with adb being unauthorized but realized what the issue was.

Will you be supporting M9P ?

No I can only support the phone that I own. However, if you need a boot.img decrypted send me the file and I'll do it.

Even thought it is 6.0 android only? The 610Y devices havent gotten the 7.0 update yet...did u use TWRP? Can you post the link to the working recovery, root and rom if possible? thanx
I used this method to install CWM Recovery & Root with success:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/root-samsung-galaxy-j7-prime-cwm-t3516777
This is the Xposed (custom-build-by-wanam) I used for this device as well:
Flashed this zip using ADB side load method on CWM: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424962808
Use the Installer I attached.
I ALSO INCLUDED ALL THE XPOSED FILES AS WELL
Here is the uninstaller just in case:

I've used TWRP 3.

install TWRP and flash any ROM in this section:good:
and yes bro I'm already on Nougat. That's the point of installing a custom ROM, you'll not gonna use or wait for the official samsung updates for your variant ( well atleast for me)

Use OTG to flash. There's still a bug on TWRP.
