I got a cradle from these guys. It was a $29.00 and it has an extra slot for a second battery to charge. I convinced the Sprint Repair Center that the battery life really sucked and they gave me an extra battery, so I was looking for a charger that could do 2 batteries.
The charger did not come with any documentation. It is one of two dual chargers on the Website http://www.talkietech.com/ and it is the one where the battery sits flat, behind the handset. It is not the one made by HTC (ORA) where the batter is upright. That one is $79 but i bet it will work better and it has 3 led's one for each battery and one for power!
The device has two led's on it and they simply do not change color, no matter what you do. One stays blue and the other green. The sales guy at TalkeiTech was very helpful but said that there was a replacement version coming in November.
Apparently the problem is from having one or both the USB and power cords plugged in (rapid charge option) at the same time. He stated you need to have both plugged in simultaneously.
I was using it as a simple charger that was near the door to the garage so I could charge both batteries as soon as I got home.
I use the Boxwave charger at my desk but it only has space for one battery but only needs USB (slow charge option).
I have now swapped the chargers so the dual one is attached to my PC and an electrical outlet, the left led seems to be for the 2nd battery and it changed red when I plugged in a low battery otherwise nothing else happened.
We are now negotiating for a new charger . . . .

Defective Mogul Cradle
I just obtained a new car cradle from Buy GPS Now
http://www.buyGPSnow.com
The thing is an absolute piece of junk. This is the second one they sent me. They claimed the first one needed a longer USB connector and that this new one was equipped with it.
Well that is not the case. The new one has some rubber strips on the sides to hold the phone in place because the device is really made for the thicker TyTn’s such at the AT&T 8125, 8525 and the new TyTn II (Tilt).
It is obvious that there is no one doing any quality control. On the first one I though it may be the length of the USB as they claim so I took it apart and plugged the full connector into the Mogul and powered it up, and the same conditions existed: the device would charge for a second and then stop charging and then the phone would lock up. This is a firmware issue not a connector issue.
Anyway they are slow to respond since they do not have a telephone number and you wait forever for a live chat person who seems to be NOT Empowered to do anything . . .
I got 2 from here and they work real nice, very high quality batteries, lasts longer than my original one from sprint... I tried those $10 or less batteries before and their capacity fluctuate wildly, but not these:

same as the original, 1500mAh, actually these batteries are made by the same company, i think the only reason why it lasts longer than my original is because these are new and the original has been used for 2 months already
extended Mogul batteries

Both get a new battery door and are large a the very least . . .

Dude! That's amazing. The eBay seller that you bought from and then objectively recommended is named nv_gear, and your name in this forum is nvgear. What are the odds, ya know?

I have not ordered anyhing here yet.
Bought the 3200 mAh battery from Seidio
Bought it about 3-4 days ago. Showed up without any fanfare. Also got the slim rubberized case (hint, the super extended battery and the slim rubberized case DO NOT go together).
So far, I have been charging like normal, I usually keep it plugged in at work and have noticed that about 30 minutes after taking it off the cable, the power drops to about 90%. this could be the battery "conditioning" as the Seidio site says. Don't know yet.
Oh, I had to write to Seidio to point out that the main page graphic says "3600 mAh" and the battery that ships is 3200 mAh. Apparently the only ones who make a 3600 mAh battery are Mugen (google it, Mugen 3600 mAh Mogul battery).
I also ordered the stylus/pen combo. This is worth the money. I'm constantly looking for a pen, but ALWAYS have my phone. The pen expands out to be very comfortable to hold, not some tiny thing that you're left feeling like a giant with a midget pen.
The battery... well, time will tell if the expense was worth the cost.
Can more people who have either the Seidio 3200 or the Mugen 3600 batteries post something on performance or experience so I can get an idea. I am still debating. Seidio 3200 or Mugen 3600. I have a Verizon XV6800. I'm a power user and i will gladly sacrifice the size of my device for more battery life. I'm also debating on whether I should get 1 or 2 of these. Having the stock battery is like being on a leash...well for me at least. I did a bunch of searches on forums but there is not too much info especially on the Mugen 3600mah. Thanks guys.
Mugen or Seidio, you'll have to judge for yourself
I have the Seidio. I'm not about to go out and buy a Mugen as well as the Seidio battery. These things are quite large to lug around in my pocket. I may be a power user as well. The only question is, are you not near a power source for a long enough time to warrant getting one of these?

Thanks for the speedy response. My problem is i play in alot off basket leagues and tournaments and for work am out at a customer siteanywhere from 8 to 18 hours...nothing looks more ghetto than being with a customer and asking if they have a place you can charge your ur cell...lol. I need the secure feeling that i dont have to charge my phone 8 times a day. I actually think i am going to get 2 of the Seidio 3200s because i like the rubber case that they may be coming out with.

Monster Battery for 6800

Looking for a battery which will allow ya to use your phone for more than a 9 hour shift at work.
http://mugenpowerbatteries.com/
Mugenpowerbatterie 3600mah battery is the best choice.
There may be complaints in forums about battery cover fit to phone. I can assure you its a frigen tight fit and works perfect. The battery also came with 2 covers one sliver and one black .
Use your phone to watch youtube for 4 hours or listen to music for about 6 hours using extusb port or 11 hours using stereo BT.
Cost me $110 with shipping thru an Amazon seller. Mugen was out of stock at that time.
For BT device i use the jambra BT3030 with a stereo, inear ear resessing, ear buds. The resessing ones are nice since they dont fall off and block the noise in my test cell at work. Stereo head set made by Philiphs.
BT3030 states 7 hours of use listening to music. I get about 6.75 to 7.5 hours use dependent on volume lvl
I, too, use the Mugen 3600mAh battery, on my XV6800. As long as you don't use any battery cover, it will easily fit in the Seido case for Seido's 3200/3500mAh battery. And without the cover, you can more quickly swap it out for your puny OEM spare on those days you forget to charge it.
i use the seidio 3500 battery which does me very well, the case and the battery together with shipping cost me 106.27, which is a pretty kick ass price
seidio 3500 < Mugen 3600
Why
seidio 3500 is Li-poly
Mugen 3600 is Li-ion
As far as the Bat cover fit. You can use a File or shap blade to scrape off
.020" of bottom edge of the cover which touches the bottom of your phone. This will reduce the distance the plastic flange on the Cover plate has to travel to the metal hook/release latch at bottom of phone.

1800 mAh battery + external charger + Docking Station

There is an existing thread about the same docking station here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1095395
(except mine is from this seller and sold $ 23.-, free shipping, without the car charger:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180667553428&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:CH:1123 and arrive after about 10 day at my home in europe)
So I won't say to many things about the dock, beside confirming it's made of good quality and is charging the Streak 5 perfectly (not enough place to hold the streak with any cover around nor the 2'400 or 4'800 mAh extended battery in it). It will charge only one piece at a time with the supplied 1'500 mA charger, first the external battery, then the streak 5. If you want to charge both at the same time, you'll have to plug the supplied USB cable in a computer or in another charger with a USB plug.
Bought also a 2'000 mA (yes!) car charger from the same seller for $ 6.30, came with a streak usb cable and is working fine.
Now to the 1'800 mAh standard sized battery: bought two of them with an external charger for $ 13.- including shipment here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170657953719&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:CH:1123
Can't say anything about how long it lasts yet 'cause I just charged and installed one in my streak tonight. Will update about it soon. I can of course not confirm in any way the accuracy of the supposed 1'800 mAh capacity, but one funny thing is that it actually weighs less than the original 1'530 mAh one! 31 grams instead of 36 grams. It might only be because of some padding or size of cables/casing, or it might be because it's absolutly not a 1'800 mAh battery...
Can anyone who bought a non genuine 1'530 or 1'600 mAh battery (read: Chinese) please give us the precise weight of it to compare? thanks.
The external charger came with a European plug adapter and can also be used as a usb charger since it has a 5.2V 800mA usb plug at one end.
I'm still expecting some of those silicone cases to see how they fit and protect my lovely but fragile baby.
Edit: silicon cases arrived. one black, one transparent and one grey-transparent. -> Power key a little hard to press (to power the phone/ display), volume up button to easy to activate, but beside this, the case fits perfectly.
Edit 2: I got one of the 1800mAh batteries working for 12 hours with the phone on and have now about 50% Power left. Only a few phone calls, some messaging & mailing and a little surfing. So very moderate use.
Did you test the 1800 mah battery? MY streak is just an the way, thinking about ordering same item as you...
Yes tested, but not with the phone on for the moment, so no good comparison. Only a little wifi and on standby.
In a few days I'll use it as my main phone and will report soon. But the new batteries work good, so you don't risk much anyway. And the dock and the external charger are very practical.
Thanks for your reply
Great, just ordered a single 1800 mah battery for 2,52 € including shipping.
Dock would be great too, I guess. But it isn't possible to use the dock when you have a silicon case on your streak, is it?
Well actually you can fit it on the dock with the silicon case, but the plug won't connect to the streak deep enough (you have to push it all the way down without the case to make it work). Maybe it could be modded to work with the casing, but I won't give it a try (Not yet. I already upgraded the internal 2GB microsdhc memory to 8GB with Patriot class 10 card -> a lot of room to install apps! And no boot.ini file to mod, it will just format it and reinstall the system on first boot).
Edit: ok, I gave it a try and unscrewed the dock to see it's innards.
The plug is kind of glued on the top (where the wires come out of it) and melted on the extremeties to the inside of the dock. I guess there is some modding allowed here, but you need to cut it and glue it back a little higher/further up. The perfect mod would be to build the plug on some kind of springs, in order to be able to use it with and without the silicon case.

Moto OEM standard home and car dock with battery charger

I have the Moto OEM standard dock, complete car dock, and battery charger with additional battery to sell. I got them as part of the Costco deal when the Bionic first came out and have not used either of the docks. I used the battery charger and extra battery one or two times to charge the battery around 70% to store it until I wanted to use it. I also have 2 leather belt clip cases and a screen protector that came with the package. Both my Bionics have the Seidio case on them so they won't fit the docks even if I cared to use them.
A quick look on Amazon makes me think I should ask around $130 for all the items (+ shipping depending on the area). Respond here or PM me. I will sell to the first person that wants all items or break them up if I can sell most of them individually.

$30 3800 mAh External Battery Case

If you have or make a 1saleaday account, they have a 3800 mAh External Battery Case in both black and white for only $30. I just ordered! :victory:
Since I can't post external links, just go to 1saleaday and go to the Flash tab.
Never seen a website where you can't look up a product without going through account registration. I guess every CH retailer is different lol!!!
Regarding the battery, those are typically 0.5A input/output which means very slow charging of the battery and slow charging of the phone, and their capacity is typically below rated value. Also, I have seen those for $20 on ebay (like this one with flip cover, although 3200 mAh, but I have seen higher capacity at 3800 and 4000 too, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350655154588&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123).
Let us know how it performs when you get it. Good luck!
I buy from them all the time.
The good side is that occasionally they have a really good deal. The bad side is that shipping can take forever and on more than one occasion they've just cancelled an order for whatever reason.
As for this case (they have two charging cases for sale today), other than the slow charging, there is no access to the S-pen. The only reason I find one of the cases tempting is that it also has a kick-stand.
I'm passing on this case. My gut feeling is that it is a cheaply made product that I don't plan on putting on an expensive phone.
