Well I can not do with these two applications because not Linux but Windows use. And then it would be nice a file ready update-binary and compatible updater-script to instalart then Deodex the device.

I also needed to Zenfone selfie ZD551KL

Alright. I will try to get it done by today..

*Link deleted*
FOR ZD551KL VARIANTS ONLY. Any attempt to flash this ROM on other ZenFone 2 series' variants would result in getting stuck at the manufacturer's logo. In that case, you would need to flash the stock ROM back to get it back to a working condition.
I do not have the ZD551KL variant of the ZenFone 2 Selfie with me now, thus, I can't test it out. Please do report back the results after flashing, and inform me immediately if "errors" or "signals" appear upon installation. Thanks!
EDIT: If this works out fine, I will be doing the same for the other variants of the ZenFone 2 series and then place them all into another thread!

this is for the ze551kl?
install from root with twrp?
rooted?
thanks

Nope, only for ZD551KL devices. I just found out that there's essentially no point in removing the verification checks, as even if it installs on the other variants, it would fail to boot as the kernel files are different. That is, unless you are willing to flash the boot.img yourself, which requires downloading the original ROM, extracting, and using the fastboot commands "fastboot flash boot boot.img".
Following up on your other questions, no. No root is required to install this ROM, only a custom recovery, such as TWRP or CWM. The ROM is also NOT pre-rooted (well, I need to learn HOW first.)
I could compile a deodex-ed ROM for you later. Though I would suggest you to wait out a while for the people with the ZD551KL variants to test it out first and see if the Android Kitchen's modifications really worked.
As for now, I will leave the download file as it is (no verification checks). I will update it tomorrow, together with the compiling for the deodex-ed ROM for ZE551KL variants (as well as others, if time permits).

Rizzo, what application you are using to Deodexar the Rom? Here I only use Windows 7 x64

Rizzo, I still do not understand anything.
This Stock ROM that you made available for download, it would be for selfie ZD551KL? What would be the version of this Stock Rom? She has not estarai Deodexada, correct? What do I do here with her in my ZD551KL? Install from sdcard or would the TWRP? I would like to learn how to Unzip the System Image Stock Rom ZD551KL. I do not know how to do this. How can I help you?

Sorry for the confusion guys.... I will be testing it out on my ZE550KL first and see if the tool works properly. If it does, I will help to de-odex the ZD551KL variants (and possibly others too) and post it on an entirely new thread.

Hi there friend thank you for your help. I will wait for the results with your Laser ZE550KL. I'm hoping that everything goes well. So I will wait for the procedure for Variant selfie ZD551KL because this is what I need right now.

Alright! Everything appears to be working... I have not tried flashing yet, but, it should be able to boot up fine.

I've deodexar the Stock rom selfie ZD551KL. I just can not install because of the error in updater-script.

In that case, could you upload the updater-script so that I could have a look at it?

So my friend..
In fact I do not even have the original file to the selfie ZD551KL.

I found no script created for Deodexar Rom in selfie ZD551KL.

Big Thanks to Illogic6 for being the Very 1st Person to get Touchwiz Booted to the I9505G post #31 and SamuriHL for solving the Baseband Update Issue and Chainfire
Modem Update : Due to the secure boot loader we cannot flash modems via cwm or any other custom recovery. You MUST update your firmware via Odin
Touchwiz Works with some ROM's like BareBones from the I9505 forum being successfully booted on the I9505G. TW Development is ongoing for the I9505G but with the small partition size some issues exist, and are being researched and worked out.

07/21/2014: I just wanted to make a note that I still get emails and requests for help and although I am no longer doing any sort of work on the I9505G I will try to help you out if you PM me. PLEASE BIG THANK YOU TO @SamuraiHL he is really the one maintaining everything for I9505G Owners and if you have not thanked him please do. I've found that very useful. Been able to get every AOSP/CM based ROM to boot by editing the updater-script to match the correct partition.
Has anybody noticed that photos taken with the front facing camera on CM sometimes have green distortion? That was the only bug I've found. Unfortunately, that flared up my phone OCD enough to go back to the 4.3 leak.
Thanks for putting this thread together, OP!

Here's the ROM I was messing with. I used the "old firmware" because it was the newest one when I first looked. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2349369
I've attached my modded updater script. (You will have to remove the .txt extension. Wouldn't let me upload without it.) All I had to do was edit which /dev/block the script mounts before it copies stuff over. If I recall correctly, I only had to change the dev it flashes the boot.img to. See this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43843048&postcount=30

I think this might be fixed in the newest CM nightly. I've took about 20 selfies with the front facing camera and haven't had distortion at all. Before I'd get it every 3 or 4 photos.
Edit: Disregard the above. The problem is back, but I'm thinking it might be the 4.3 camera zip I've been using. Hmmmmmmm......
I think I jumped the gun a bit on rooting my I9505G right when I got it. I've never successfully rooted it, but I managed to get on the 4.3 ROM with a few quirks here and there. My ultimate goal is to get Paranoid Android with halo running, but I'll have to dedicate a day to the whole process. I'll be keeping track of this thread.

I haven't used Cygwin before. I'll take a look at it today.
Also going to mess around with TW a little more. Maybe we just need some libs from the stock 9505g rom or something.
Update: I'm afraid I may have mislead you earlier. It appears that you need more than just the updated update-script in order to get touchwiz to boot. You also need a kernel from one of the 4.3 leaks. Here's the one I've been using. (Attached) Not only does it boot, but the soft keys work and you can hear the sound effects of the lock screen. I'm very close.

Wow Illogic your close bro thanks for your hard work the libs does sound like it would cause the display problem I'm gonna play around with this too. All I did was unpack stock 4.3 and zip and deo the files with root. The problem I am having is that I am still learning U-scripts and so I cannot get anything to flash. I get failed on 0p21 even though its changed. Maybe I can pm you what I did later and get your feedback cuz your miles ahead of me
Sent from my GT-I9505G using Tapatalk 2
I've merged libs from the leaked 4.3 build into the TW ROM without overwriting anything. Didn't seem to change anything. At this point, I'm playing with magic I don't understand so not sure how much farther I'm going to get.
Would really like figure out which files in the system are responsible for the display. Perhaps we need to overwrite those files. Google is failing me so far.
---------- Post added at 04:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:29 PM ----------
Tada! :victory:
The error message goes away. Right now, the web browser force closes... that might be because of the ROM I was modifying. What I did was use the 4.2.2 kernel that shipped with the google play phones. That booted AND activated the display.

[Need Help] Porting CyanogenMod 13 for SM-G530H

Hi Guys,
I actually tried to port CyanogenMod 13 from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
Here is some info about this device - http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_2_7_0_p3100-4543.php
Why I choose Galaxy Tab 2? Cause that is the only device i have that has CyanogenMod 13. If there is something wrong please let me know.
Now here is the problem. I modified the System folder. but now i cant switch it into system.new.dat . I tried every single program but no use.
So if anyone can help me converting it into system.new.dat. if anyone can i will upload the files in Drive so let me know.
@tasnim_tamim I'm not breaking your heart but it'll not work.
Completely different processors nd kernel versions.
Try porting from a device which has same processor, Snapdragon 410.
Examples: Lenovo A6000, Samsung J5, Moto g(3rd gen), HTC Desire 510, Samsung A3, Samsung A5 & Many more.
Happy porting! I told you all the devices I knew about by my researches so far.

Actually I'm not sure if the Cm13 ROMs will work yet, until @zim555 or any other developer builds a Cm13 kernel.
You can try porting but if you're not successful you should go for 5.0 or 5.1.1 ROMs.

Yup that's the problem, Zim is actually trying to patch the Cm13 kernel to make it work so I'm sure soon he'll start that project maybe in some days.

First of all the I already messed the conversion to system.img which after that I had to goto windows and extract the whole damn thing. So now I can't change it to system.new.dat. on my windows there is also a software for that. But that asks for something like Select system.img size. Which is what extremely confuses me. And I said earlier that I completely messed up everything on Ubuntu side that now. Now the thing on thread what it said doesn't even works. I did ported everything. But I can't compress it. If you want I can give you screenshot on windows about the program. So if you can help me with that
BTW I am porting OmniRom 5.1.1 from Moto G 2013

ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini (NX511j) - Cam driver for international Version

Hey all,
the problme is that the international version has another cam module (13mp) than the chinese version (18mp).
Therefore the custom roms , which are always based on the chinese version and cant use the camera.
Now I need some help on how to implement the driver from the original firmware:
http://rom.download.nubia.com/Germany/Z9mini/NX511J-update.zip
Into this custom rom from mokee:
http://download.mokeedev.com/?device=nx511j
My phone is already rooted and has a custom reovery. I already tried to "zip-edit" the mokee rom and copied/replaced files from the stock rom into the mokee rom , base on this info from here and here e.g.:
Libcamalgo.so
Libcameracustom.so
Libcameraclient.so
Libcameraservice.so
Libcamerametadata.so

system/lib/ libcamdrv.so
system/lib/libcamalgo.so
system/lib/libcameracustom.so
system/lib/libdpframework.so
system\etc\permissions\android.hardware.camera.xml
and then rezipped the rom and signed the zip with the autosign tool.
This "custom" rom than could even be successfuly installed with twrp without an problem, but then didnt
get beyond the mokee boot logo.
Now my question is:
Can this be due to the fact that the stock rom is 5.02 and the custom rom/mokee is 6.01 and the drivers simply cant work due to another android version?
Am I thinking way to easy with this simple "copy/paste zip editing" and something more complex like editing the kernel has to be done?
Any tip for what to do is very appreciated, as I think I have to solve it by myself due to a lack of mass-interest in this device.
Does it support Indian version?
Sent from my NX511J using XDA-Developers mobile app
Sorry for my late reply, I've been on vacation.
I dont know if it supports the indian version. My device is the EU version I guess...
It has a different camera module whith only 13mp-
Hi!
Just replacing those files can't work. The drivers for the t4k37 camera sensor aren't built in in the mokee release.
When it boots, it only polls those Sony IMX sensors. Furthermore the librarys for the t4k37 sensor arent't in the rom.
I'vre tried to build my own mokee rom, but with no luck, got only to boot animation. The device isn't supported officialy by
Mokee any longer. As I didn't build android before, my knowledge is obviously too little for this kind of task... perhaps some
more experienced guys could help...
Also it's hard to understand what is the exact difference in the chinese, indian , international an german modells of the phone, there are little informations.
Just flashed Mokee MK51.1-nx511j-160420-HISTORY.zip and moved the appropriate libraries to the flash, it seems, that the t4k37 sensor initializes and works. Sadly there's no camera app preinstalled.
Tested with Open Camera App from Playstore. I'll now try to get the original camera app.
Libraries where taken from germans stock rom in vendor folder.

Probably not all files are necessary, but i was too lazy to test it out one by one. I just replaced all of them. The libs for the imx sensor probably aren't needed.
Latest german rom is V1.01, as far as I know. Never ever seen a german localized V1.02. Files above were taken from 1.01.
Just works for 5.1, as in Mokee 60.1 there's some sort of timeout when it tries to initialize the driver. Some patching would be needed, but trying to build Mokee myself
didn't resume a working ROM.

Thank you! I'll try. :good:
Just wanted to let you know, that I was sick of copying the files in every new release, so I just swapped the main camera sensor with the Sony sensor found in the Chinese model. Works like a charm.

Stock Binaries for Phab 2

Here are the original stock ROMs for the Phab 2. I have been trying to use the recovery and boot images to get a TWRP recovery built but have been unsuccessful thus far. I'm thinking of moving my efforts off of my Win10 VM to see if I have better luck on a physical machine.
Anyway, here's to getting root on this device.

Good luck.
I have found another set of binaries that I will be uploading shortly. These come from the russian lenovo site and appear to be very legit, as well as the SPF Tool that is included.

[SM-T700] [KLIMTWIFI] All-in-one mirror of files for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Wi-Fi

Hey there interweb!
This thread is meant as a general area to organise the mess of files scattered across the internet for the original Wi-Fi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
This Google Drive folder contains the following:
Stock Odin TAR/MD5 firmware files
ROMs, and their accompanying files + install instructions that have been confirmed to boot,
Kernels that have been confirmed to boot,
Useful mods which are confirmed to work and add genuine capability to your device;
and anything else which I think is useful to those wishing to mod their Tab S.
Link:
androiddev - Google Drive
drive.google.com
If you know of any files which you think should be included, and are not already here, please feel free to either reply to this thread or DM me. If you want any assistance at all, please feel free to do the same, and I will try to assist you to the best of my ability.
All the best,
Cessna
I must reiterate, as always, that although I have tested each of these mods, I am not responsible for bricks, loss of data, or permanent damage to your device. You yourself are choosing to make these modifications, and although they have my quality assurance, I can not guarantee their 100% safety. Just because they worked on my device, does not necessarily mean they will work on yours.

Good idea to gather everything on one place and make the mess a bit easier to handle..
I helped myself with the TWRP and the LOS17, much obliged. Don't really need help otherwise.
That is, unless you know why my t705 (i have one of those too) keeps messing with me and losing charge even when switched off...

I'll be honest, my Tab s battery has decreased to about 2100 mAh from 4900 so it's probably just age I'm afraid. If you use it more, you could do a battery transplant, but I don't have ROMs for klimtlte. Thanks for using my mirror

That's odd. Have you tried flashing a custom kernel in TWRP? If not, I'll upload one to the Google Drive in the /androiddev/klimtlte folder. Will create it soon, along with instructions.

Odd indeed. And really frustrating. :-/
Have not tried with custom kernel but can of course do that, if it's simple. But, like i said - it's a T705, you mean there is one already made or are you just going to make one on a coffee break?

There's one already made I think. I'll see if I can find one and alert you when it's up. Obvs I can't do a check for safety without the hardware so make a full backup of the boot partition just in case. I'll make sure to find one with good reviews

Thank you kindly, sir.
Will try right away, but can't really see if had any effect untill morning.
I thought first to ask you if it is possible to use this on stock too, but then it struck me how stupid idea that is, since it's not the same Android version. Because one of them is on stock and behaving the same way. Which basically leads me to believe that it actually is a hardware fault...

Unfortunatelly the error is still present. Like i said, probably a software issue.
Bit thanx anuway!
Thanks for creating a section specifically for the SM-T700! I hope that I can get some practical help on moving forward
On my post here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...d-but-ok-with-resurrection-remix-why.4332701/) I describe my attempt to install a variation of LineageOS 17.1 on my device -- always running into 'E1001'. I eventually settled on an older Resurrection Remix, since someone mentioned that it would ultimately make it possible to move to LineageOS (I have not tried that yet).
Here are some of my questions:
1) In a much larger/older thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...t700-sm-t705-sm-t800-sm-t800-sm-p600.4270943/) the first step is "Flash latest official Samsung Firmware with ODIN". Is this even relevant to me?
2) In preparation for successfully installing LineageOS, what TWRP clearing/formatting options should I be using? On a completely different device, the instructions were to delete *everything*. Could my wrong choices when doing this for my SM-T700 have contributed to my failures?
3) Now that I (currently) have Resurrection Remix on my SM-T700, can I expect -- with the binaries mentioned in this new subgroup -- to be able to install LineageOS 17.1 *without* running into the 'E1001' problem?
Thanks for any help!

Hey! Sorry for the delay. You should flash the latest firmware (it's on updato.com) Using Odin, and then twrp with Odin, and then the custom ROM from twrp, wiping data dalvik and cache before rebooting. Other two are in the mirror.

Just an FYI...I was reluctant to start everything over again with Odin and latest Samsung firmware, so I opted to take a chance and merely 'adb push' the LineageOS and GApps that you have on your Google drive (along with some cache erasures as you suggested) and everything seemed to upgrade properly from Resurrection Remix to LineageOS 17.1
A few minor problems so far: camera doesn't work, and initial signon to the tablet with a PIN doesn't work so well (seems to take multiple attempts). In any case, now running Android 10!
These were issues that I faced too - I never found a way to fix them. Neither did the original Dev, but apparently updating to the latest webview fixes chrome crashes. PIN you need to wait 30seconds after boot. Camera works only with clean install and even then sometimes doesn't work.
Hope this helps,
Cessna
I was trying to install TWRP but after reboot when I go to the Recovery mode there is no TWRP. I installed the LOS on my Tab Pro 8.4 and wanted to install LOS on Tab S 8.4 but can't flash the TWRP. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
