This thread is a list of ROMs currently being built and tested by Team-M8 and using Team-M8 device trees and kernel source. None of these ROMs are the work of Team-M8, nor will any of our members take credit for any of the work here. The kernel has been tweaked and reworked by @fizbanrapper and @smac0628 with commits from (literally) thousands of other developers.
We will simply be sharing our personal ROM builds with the community to give users greater access to the choices that Android affords them.
This thread will also be a constant WIP, and edited every so often as needed.
About the team:
Team-M8 was started as an effort to help one another with compiling AOSP ROMs from source for the HTC One M8. Some of us had a lot of knowledge already, but the team environment has allowed each of us to grow faster than would be possible on our own.
In a very open and casual environment, we've helped each other through countless build errors and fixing each other's code. We are in no way territorial about our builds. These ROMs are open source and we feel that Android is all about sharing and having choices.
This ideal is even embodied in our custom kernel, which prioritizes your freedom to make choices about how you'd like the kernel to operate. You have the freedom to make it perform as you see fit.
Feel like you're missing out? Wish you could join?
You can! We've got a group of 24 at present, but the more the merrier. While we were initially targetting contributors (and developers) who can compile from source, we also need testers! Some of us don't have CDMA devices, so that can be a big help.
What about Sense & GPE ROMs?
Can't be compiled from source. GTFO.
We will try and give as many credits to all the real devs out there that we can. We don't know everyone, so we might leave some of you out. If you feel the need for mentions, let us know, we will gladly add you.
On a similar note, we don't want to step on anyone's toes here either. If we include your ROM here, and you do not want it here, please let one of us know and we will take it down. We will be providing links to the official threads that have the official builds too.
If there are any issues with any of these builds, DO NOT contact the official thread and complain or report errors or logs to them! These are personal builds and any errors with these builds should not be a burden on the real maintainers and devs of the official builds. You can notify us here, but no promises on replies or help. Usually someone will help you though.
We would suggest, if you do come upon errors, to clean flash the official build, as recommended by the instructions of that ROM's official thread, and see if that error still is present. Then you may get yourself a log and kindly report that error in the appropriate thread.
Please maintain respect for all users here, noobs and experts alike. NO BS! Keep the OT to a minimum, or we will have the thread cleaned. We are doing this as a favor to the community, and because we want to. No one is paying anyone around here for any of our time, same goes for almost all the devs out there, so please maintain a good deal of respect. If you don't like something, go make your own ROM!We will categorize the ROMs according to what theme engine they have

Been working with this group of guys for 6+ months now and I'm amazed by their growth.
Sometimes it's a sort of home away from home and android is what we all have in common.
We don't always have a ton of time to officially maintain for a ROM team, and surely can't push to 20+ different teams' github accounts on a daily or weekly basis. Sharing our personal builds (as opposed to doing "official" builds) is the best way we can deliver all that android has to offer without having the overhead and bother of joining an actual team.

Orion 20160508

So for me Team-M8 has been something amazing that's fill with a bunch of guys just 100% committed to learning and teaching people everything they can. From people like @fizbanrapper to @PunkUnity and the many others that have taught me so much! Truthfully before this collaboration I had all but given up on trying to compile ROMs at all! But here we are and hopefully everyone enjoys the work we put forth. At this point I most certainly enjoy doing this!

Team-M8 is a great community of android enthusiast from all walks of life, from around the world who want too learn and share with one another and the android community at large.
~ Fellow flashaholics and RUU junkies! ~
MultiROM v33 is out and supports android 6.0 Marshmallow .
You will need:
*MultiROM installer zip
*TWRP 3.0 (with multirom)
*rom with a compatabile kernel
( Team-M8 kernel includes kexec hard-boot patch for MultiRom support!!! --thx for that @fizbanrapper-- )
Pleae read the MultiROM v33 thread for Dow loads, details and updates.
Thanks to @Tasssadar @nkk71 @Captain_Throwback @MassStash
and the rest of the MultiROM contributors
for updating this amazing MOD and feeding our addiction!!!
Beware, there be dragons!!!
have a NAND backup and be comfortable using an RUU .
#Team-M8 for the win!!!
#MultiROM4life

Now, @fizbanrapper told us to make our reserved posts to something about team m8, so I will. I haven't been apart of this group for long but all the stuff that has happened has been an amazing journey from a couple of ROMs in testing, to @punkunitt pumping out 5 different ROMs every day. The most amazing thing that probably happened was when @coachcrey425 was able to build the ROMs with GCC 6.0 For the kernel! That's all I have to say now, thanks!

It's been an awesome experience working with Team-M8, they have been a great help getting LiquidSmooth MM6.0 to boot. I still need to add LiquidSmooth features back in so it is pretty much bare but, with the Team-M8 kernel it flies.

Awesome work everyone!!! Big thanks!

I'm amazed you guys show us M8 users this much LOVE, Thanks! A ton of Roms here, I want to point out that FlexOS & FlayrOS are in the wrong Download Sections (Just Move FlexOS to CMTE & FlayrOS to Layers). Great OP!

Thanks a million for putting this up and giving us so many options! You guys are the best!

If we have a ROM listed but don't have it for download, there's a reason for it. Either it doesn't build, doesn't boot, or we have been asked not to host the files. But we should be updating the OP with links to the Official Builds Thread, if one exists. That way if we don't have it, someone else might and you can at least get the link here. The Team-M8 kernel has many many updates and upgrades in it. Plus the authorship and history of it is 100% legit. Fizbanrapper has already started to get current with a lot of caf commits, and should have them all at some point in the future. He's been pretty busy with other things in the kernel lately. But given some time, the kernel will be even better than it is now, which I think is the best out for this device by a longshot.

About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev Github.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our G+ Community: http://community.carbon-rom.com This is where we spend the bulk of our time and the best way to reach us and other community members. We update and frequent this community far more than XDA, simply due to time constraints and the convenience of G+.
5) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

confirmed... mpdecision is working with thomas commits. a simple script in init.d solves the issue.

If the build of Alx31TLse is realy made with the new changes of cm which merged the official 569/.101 Sony Kernel and Blob's from thomas1991_12 then this should help and work!

Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub. and on our Gerrit CarbonDev Gerrit.

2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
Who is Team Carbon?
Find out here:
Carbon Team
Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

Whoever's work was put into the kernel, GOOD JOB! It's insanely smooth and I can run latest Sprint baseband on it.
Thanks @oadam11 for bringing us updated Carbonrom.
Thank you! I was just browsing carbons website yesterday for my nexus 7 when I noticed their wasn't any g2 builds anymore. Wondering why they stopped. Gonna install now. Thanks again!

Maybe try installing a custom kernel and using trickstermod to increase sound.

If you search you will find a few ways to do it. I have a mixers patch I can pm you, but I was told today someone that used it had people report that the sound from the phone was garbled.
Check the android Dev section, pretty sure that's where I saw some flashible zip people use.

Lol in preparation for an upcoming question, you can flash any kernel you like and see if it works. Do a nandroid backup before.
Also this is completely synced with carbons github so it's whatever sources they use are baked in.
Sent from my LG G3
More than likely not built on dr87's source then as bigshotrob updated this to 4.4 kernel base before Mahdi.
Edit: should be based of jackpotclavins source.
Edit Edit: just dug through bigshotrobs posts, and it is indeed based off jackpotclavins source.

hahaha, I think i just hate CM and PA sources here on G2, lol.
@scream_clarity and other d803 users, I have prepared a test build for you. d803 is not in carbon's github so I had to fork and edit the device trees for this variant. It built without errors so I hope it will work fine. Please try it and report back if it boots and works well.
As always make a nandroid backup before flashing just in case.
Here is the download link: http://d-h.st/jdG
Just installed and booted, it has streaking or banding on the screen, I don't have JDI panel, so I will further test.
It looks like it has permanent damage now.

Changed my mind, so downloading now. Link for GAPPS please?

Its' good you changed your mind and downloaded but i am wondering if all of us think same and wait for final ROM how the developer find the errors and troubleshoot them. this ROM released on 23-04 and till date only 7 people dowloaded and tested , really sad..... i am not even expecting a beta version from developer when such a response happen.
Regret,
This Rom is not in alpha state. The title says the SLIM rom sources are in alpha state. I know its confusing. But i already tried this rom and its butery smooth and lagless atleast for me. But yes it is not stable now and many features were missing / I could not find them. So i immediately changed back
But if anyone tried this rom for more than a day please post your review here and also tell whether u can find Theme engine from CM12.1
Dear Friends,
I am using this ROM since this morning and as speciality of Slim series this is minimal application ROM, you have to install all your required application as per need ( Including music player). No issue with Network or wireless connectivity. Rom is stable in terms of basic rom. I try to flash ThunderZap and sandy kernel but ROM is resulting bootloop. flash walkman, working fine. Battery drain is more than expected 4 hrs reached to 75%. voice clarity during calls is good. music quality with Xperia walkman is above average. GPS locking is fine. Games like Clash of clan or lords and frontline commando are without lags , heavy games yet to check
over all fine . expecting better results after fine-tuned version from developers
Best Wishes !!
The ROM was built just after 5.1.1 rebase by slim team. I will update this and fix bugs after exams.

Bro i hv seen commit about your slimroms team joining. Congrats! Actually i own xperia z and i m very upset because of its issues. So i m planning to buy yureka or yuphoria in coming weaks. I am happy to see you as an official slimroms maintainer. But, as you know its very difficult to buy yu mobile phones.i want to know that will u only support yureka? or there is any chance to look at yuphoria also? I have also seen another developer name vibhu0009 own both yureka and yuphoria. I think he is also willing to be a official slimrom maintainer for tomato.
Anyway very happy to see "INDIAN" developers.

I have only yureka and will support only yureka. You can get unofficial yuphoria builds posted by @dagger on yuphoria forum or you can build yourself by using trees on my github. I won't be maintaining yuphoria officially or unofficially, but anyone who wants to do so can use my trees if they want.
Cheers,
AJ

You could always follow the great tutorials on the site and my trees are already setup for building, you won't need anything other than
Code:
. build/envsetup.sh
brunch tomato
But to be honest, that's not a way I generally recommend cause we learn nothing that way. Anyway, if you try to compile and face any errors, feel free to PM me or reach me via hangouts.
Cheers,

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Nitin is the an untiring dev, Thank you man!
Nitrogen OS, XenonHD, XOSP, and now also Dirty Unicorns?!
You must either 1. Have a lot of time. 2. Be overworking. Or 3. know how to manage your time properly.
Otherwise, how are you managing 4 ROMs at once?

I think number 2 is true :cyclops:

I don't think I had seen CypherOS.
Time to search.
In any case, you're definitely doing an awesome job.
Keep it up, however make sure that it won't have any negative consequences.
Update: I found CypherOS online, and verified that you are the official maintainer for the Nexus 4, however I couldn't find any threads that pertain to this.
And I had found three more ROMs that you maintain (or used to maintain): ZephyrOS, CM14, and TurboROM.
Awesome work man, keep up the good work Btw, is there any way to get the Pixel SystemUI?

Flashed DU. For the record it is my first taste of Nougat on mako, as i was on Chroma MM till now. Pretty smooth rom. Camera is working great bot for photos and videos. Much better than Chroma where there was some kind of lag in camera shot. Everything is working as expected till now. I will update after I have some more time with it.
