Spigen and Snugg cases in hand - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Accessories

I just received some review samples from Spigen and Snugg.
I will be posting some reviews up in the future but wanted to give people a chance to ask some questions about the ones I have here.
I do have more cases on the way from other manufacturers (CoverON and Ringke).
I also have some S7 cases I will be doing reviews of in the future.
This is what I received today for the Galaxy S7 Edge.

I purchased the Spigen Neo Hybrid Crystal - mine is currently in shipment - won't get it for a while yet - but I have always liked Spigen Cases - have a similar one for my Nexus 6p - is that one of the ones you picked up? Thoughts about the case?

I did order one of them... maybe more
I have these on the way :
The Satin Silver Bumper
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B1I6JMM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
The Crystal Gunmetal Bumper
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AUORACQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
I have not yet received them, but I know they will be good cases, I have always had good luck with Spigen.

I also love my Spigen case's..
Ordered the Neo Hybrid - Satin Silver & the Thin Fit - Black.. Both are cases that I have had for other devices & loved.
On a whim just because I like the way it looks I also ordered the OBLIQ Leather Slim Fit in Brown which looks to be nothing but a fancy TPU case, but after having the leather back for my G4 I love the leather feel in hand so I figured I would give it a shot.

Is there a bumper case that doesn't cover the back of the phone? Would like one that just grips the frame of the phone.
Thanks in advanced!

Just curious how different the tough and slim armor cases are. Thanks!

I've got two of the bottom left on order, the transparent one. One for me and one for the wife. Only £2.99 each with free delivery. Suspiciously cheap, hope they're not fake. From Amazon though.

The Tough Armor is slightly bulkier and has sharper edges.
The Slim Armor is thinner and has rounded sides.
Both of them feel nice in the hand and do not look like they will add that much bulk.

can you just review the craftsmanship and the quality of the materials

I have the ACT case in hand and will post some pictures in a few

Here are a few pictures I took of the Case

i have never had such a case before (actually no case at all ever, but for this 800 euro thing i'll get one
and i'm wondering what's the difference between spigen "neo hybrid", "ultra hybrid" and "liquid crystal"? e.g. in terms of protection? the neo has 2 pieces, i'm wondering here quality-wise whether the outer frame will loosen after time or in pockets? i guess neo hybrid crystal would be the best protection according to the price tag? transparent with gunmetal frame would actually look quite cool with my ordered white s7 edge

I have the liquid crystal it seems to be more slim

Hello Anthony, I would love to review the Story Leather Cases.
I have always liked the looks of your products, PM me and we can set something up.

Received more from Spigen, Ringke and CoverON today.
I still have cases in the mail from Artech 21 and TJS.
Based on the review samples sent to me I would not recommend the CoverON branded cases.
The plastic is cheap feeling, the rubber is thin and flimsy, and two of the three cases I received are bowed and will not be usable on a device.
The Spigen cases are all excellent and I like the Ringke as it comes with a back protector and a cutout so you can add your own style to the case.

Honestly, I have 18 Spigen cases beside me right now between the ones for the S7 and S7 Edge.
If you want to know about the craftsmanship and materials....
I have 18 samples to look at and can not find a flaw in any of the ones from Spigen.
No scratches, no deformations, no bowed or twisted frames.
The materials used all feel very nice in hand, the plastic parts are all soft touch and do not feel cheap.
If all you are worried about is materials and craftsmanship, Spigen is top notch for TPU and plastic cases.
The one Snugg case I have currently is fake leather, however you literally can not tell, it even smells like real leather.
The inner part of the wallet case from Snugg is made of a material that feels like suede and will be nice and soft on the glass of your phone.
The seams and stitching are all straight with no missed stitches.
The magnetic enclosure is completely hidden so you do not see a metal snap like thing on your case.
Overall it is a very clean looking case.
Again the Snugg case is one of the best I have had for craftsmanship.
The ones I have from CoverON however are some of the worst I have ever seen as far as craftsmanship and materials (as well as quality control).
I have 4 cases from them and 2 are twisted so badly that I doubt I will be able to even get them on a phone.
They all have plastic flash on the edges that I will have to remove.
The feel of them is very hard and squared with rough edges everywhere.
The rubber they use is extremely thin and flimsy. (Yes rubber they do not use TPU)
I do not recommend CoverON at all.
I have one case from Ringke right now and I would put it on par with the ones from Spigen, materials and craftsmanship are spot on.
The one from Ringke has flaps on the port covers to keep dust out.
Some people will love that and some will just think of it as a hassle when you need to plug something into your phone.
Myself I have no strong feelings about them, they do not bother me to be there, but also I do not really need those covers.
Sorry to talk so long about this, if you have more questions, just ask and I will try and answer.

I have the Spigen slim armour case. Do you have a screen protector? If you do what is it? I have one but the case gives it bubbles on the edges. Are you able to recommend one please?

how can you know if it is a fake or a genuine?

Need slim/thin Nexus S i9020 case for a girl

Hi,
I really need recommendation of a case for my Nexus S. It is i9020 Super Amoled GSM version.
I am going to give this to my family member, and she said that she does not want thick ugly case.
What would you recommend?
It does not matter about the material, the only requirement is thin ... and easy to apply.
In the past, I did not use any case for my Nexus S. And now, I have moved to Galaxy Nexus (also without a case).
So, I have absolutely no experience with case
Thanks.
Thin cases usually don't provide any protection from fall and it seems like you are looking for the "thinnest case" possible to provide protection from scratches, scuffs, etc.
How about going with the double sided ZAGG invisibleShield? I use it on my phone and it's great.
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Another cheaper option is to get the full body skin from bestskinsever.com. Essentially the same concept, but without ZAGG's warranty. Much cheaper too I think.
In terms of an actual case, I think the thinnest I've seen are the Incipio Feather cases. They don't cover the top and bottom of the phone, but they are very thin and they just snap on.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120828904305
I just bought a white one, these are super cheap!
I was looking at ZAGG, but I think it is a bit difficult to put it on, like applying screen protector films. Trapped bubbles ... I don't think she likes that.

Again, the transparent/invisible skin is difficult to put on, especially me.
I failed many times with screen protector.
Btw, Incipio Feather is one of my option, but I found it difficult to find for Nexus S, especially in Europe.
Well, she is not too clumsy with phone. She will drop it once or twice ... I gave her my HTC Desire previously and it got some scratches
How about TPU case thing? Which one is thin ... OR I saw some kind of rubber or silicon that protect nicely.

TPU is good. It has a good fit and provides some protection from small drops. I actually use a TPU case if I want my phone to feel safer, like when I go running. Its also very easy to put on. You can buy them from ebay or from dealextreme.com, but dealextreme has a very long wait time.
Don't buy silicone if she wants a smaller case. Silicone provides a better grip and has more impact absorption, but it is usually thicker and sometimes does not fit well. Also, keep in mind that if you buy the Incipio Feather cases, they won't fit perfectly if you have the shield protector on the back or around the bezel.
Here's a few pics of the TPU case I have. I got it from dealextreme, came with a generic screen protector and a soft tip stylus for $3 CDN, but it took a month to get here.

Hi sm1ke,
Nice case I think. Do you think it added quite a thickness?
I am now comparing yours with Rearth Ringke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo9swPPpDVU
Is yours i9020 (Super-Amoled, GSM) model?
The thing that I don't like with Rearth Ringke, it is rubbery which you can see at the end of the video review above.
And what brand name should I use to search yours on eBay? Because I think "TPU" is just the material type, not the brand, correct?
Thanks.

Yes, my phone is the i9020a, GSM model. I just measured the thickness and it is about 2mm thick, maybe 1.5mm. It does make the phone feel thicker, but only by a small amount.
My case doesn't have the rubbery feel around the screen, its more like plastic. Also, it is firmer than the Rearth case on the sides. It still pulls away a little bit, but not as much as the Rearth case.
I bought mine from dealextreme.com. This is the exact one I bought (It says PVC in the title, but in the description it says TPU):
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/protec...s-for-samsung-i9020-nexus-s-grey-57055?item=9
I also found this on eBay. They look like the same type of case but with a more solid color. I may order a white one. (This listing is for the i9020 4G model)
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/FROSTED-TPU-...807163?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item43aea439fb
Also if you search "nexus s mercury" on eBay, you'll find cases made with similar material, but they have actual cut outs for the power and volume buttons. Nicer I think, but also more expensive.
Similar to Zagg, I suggest this naked shield for nexus S... It's not so simple to apply, but the final result is very good.

ZAGG is one of the easiest screen protectors to apply. Unlike dry screen protectors where it is common to have bubbles, the ZAGG invisbleshield uses a "wet" application meaning you can slide the protector around until you get it right. Also since it is wet it's easy to remove all the bubbles.
I would be surprised if you HAD bubbles with a ZAGG protector.

Which Clear Case is better?

I really want a case that can still show the great design this phone has, while providing some protection, and I believe many of you will as well. I also ordered a Glass Screen Protector from Aliexpress to go along.

I have the spigen case its very nice and clear. But is kinda bulky.
I really like this Cimo case I got off eBay, but i wish it was clear and not frosted.
eBay
I dont like plastic cases, always think it will scratch my phones.
Just fyi, there's already an active thread entitled: M8 clear cases to showcase.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I had to send the spigen clear back.
The cutout for the flash is too close.
Ruins flash pictures.
The entire rim of the case lights up when the flash fires!
I suppose if using the camera flash isn't your thing it would make a great alert with a mod/app that uses the flash as the LED alert, etc.
And yes it feels a bit big.
Also it has a yellowish tinge on the edges.
The black version would be fine but the power button is covered so the IR blaster would be useless...
The new Tech21 case might be worth waiting for.

I also think so but I can't seem to find any real review of the case. Do you have it? Some posters say it dosent add any additional grip so the phone continues do be slippery.
I had the Spigen ultra fit capsule and returned it. Mine had a yellow coloring around the edges that I couldn't get over. Some people who have it say that the coloring is due to the lighting in the room you're in....i had it regardless of where I was. Great looking case, fit well, but the yellow killed it for me.
I currently have the Supcase premium hybrid case, which is similar to the exact prism in appearance. It looks great, shows off the phone very well. My only complaint is that it is somewhat slippery.
Im now waiting on the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. http://www.spigen.com/brands/htc/htc-one-m8/htc-one-m8-case-ultra-hybrid.html
It wasn't supposed to ship until the end of the month, but I received notification that its supposed to be delivered today. I'm hoping this case doesn't have the yellow coloring like the Ultra fit capsule...ill let you know.

The Prism is fine but there is a very slight amount of play which gives it a bit of "creak" when manipulating the phone.

Thanks a lot for your input.
I tend not to like TPU cases and was thinking about ordering the case mate "Barely There" (the "Naked Tough" seems too bulky) but it seems it's slippery and it seems hard plastic clear cases are susceptible to scratches, some users claim.
Meanwhile I found this on another thread and couldn't resist ordering because of the low price (3,20€), but it will take at least 2 weeks to get to Portugal.
It's ultrathin and made of TPU. Check it out:

Yeah, it's indeed good looking but makes the phone even bigger. I am willing to give up some protection for having a smaller phone.

I have used plenty of cases in the past (Otterbox, cruzerlite, seidio, incipio dual pro) and I was actually impressed how little bulk was added. For the amount of protection you get, I am very happy.

I have the black one, so I unfortunately can't speak as to the grip for the clear case but the black has a very nice matte finish that is GREAT for grip, having the phone bare was just too slippery for me and I had to find a case that would help fix this without too much bulk, I bought a couple cruzerlite cases, a TPU one and a few "print cases" these are basically like the barely there case, but very poorly made, the plastic sucks, and the build quality is horrible, the TPU case however I did keep and is very nice, but is a bit bulky, so I ordered the case.mate and I could not be happier. I am not a huge fan of the increasing screen sizes, and actually considered waiting for the m8 mini, but this phone is perfect and I will be happy on it for my 2 year contact.
If HTC makes a M9 I can see myself wanting the mini as I believe the M9 would most likely be too large, but that's for another thread, sorry.

My Case Mate Barely There Clear arrived today. Overall I'm pleased that it offers minimal impact on the handsets aesthetics. It's slim and tidy and allows the HTC M8 to keep it's like on show while still offering a 'degree' of scratch protection. I only say scratch because like all these slim cases, they offer very little drop protection.
That's all the good stuff about the case. On the other side of the coin though it's only let down in two areas 1) top and bottom exposed 2) it's a shiny finish which means it's pretty slippery!
I'm risk assessing the slippery feel so I can still see the handsets design as it was intended!
Apologies for the crappy images, had to use my work Nokia Lumia.

Did you considered the tough naked? Seems better from what other users say
I ordered both the Case mate and the spigen for choice
the case mate went on too easily and obviously came off just as easily, it has no 'wrap over or around' at all.( it does not protrude even flush with the front chamfered edge)
it truly is 'barely there' and as such it is not a lot more than a scratch cover for the beautiful ally back . buttons are cut away making it even less there.
Its incredibly smooth and quite slippery and I felt it would not offer any protection if it slipped out of my hand (it would probably fall off before it hit the floor as it doesn't feel at all securely fitting)
so ......
It was packaged up and returned within minutes.
the Spigen ultrafit capsule is everything opposite....great fit, good protection, slight grippy feel, protrudes +1mm over edges to protect screen and front edge, buttons are covered but feel very positive when pressed....blah blah blah
BUT
it is tinted yellow!!!!!!!! in a daylight balanced room..yellow tint around edges....halogen lit room....yellow tint too, everywhere there is anykind of light it has a yellow tint around the bevelled front edge
thought I could live with it........NOPE it makes it look old and cheap!
so...........
It was packaged up and returned within hours.
My lovely new M8 is now wrapped in BLACK Spigen 2piece slim armour. AWESOME both for looks and protection
case closed
J

[Q] I hate cases. I need a bumper case.

So as it turns out I'm actually allergic to the metal on the edge of the phone. Which means I can't hold onto it. Which means I need a case. So I'd like as little case as possible. If I could just get a rubber bumper to wrap around the edge and nothing else, that would be ideal.
So what's the most minimal non-metal case it's possible to get, that will cover up the metal edges? Any suggestions?
I have the Spigen air capsule. It's a really thin clear case, good quality as well. Barely feels as if there's a case on my phone..
Official Samsung case is like a bumper but but covers the back. It doesn't cover the sides but it's probably the thinnest case for the S6 Edge. I got mine at T-Mobile for cost $20. If you resister your phone on Samsung you get 30% off but I think it was a little more then what I paid.
I have the Spigen air case too. I don't normally do cases but I really like this one

I'd recommend the Ringke Fusion. Thin, transparent and covers the aluminium.
Bought it for around 10 Euros.

I'd recommend the " Spigen" range their cases, I have found to be the best but not sure if they do bumper cases.
i bought this one.

looks great and its aluminum.

not a case guy but this actually makes it feel better in hand as well as picking it up and is "bumper" like.

This looks to be a bumper case. http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-Border-Case-White-P97640.htm
I have the Spigen Case
I have the spiggen crystal clear with air cushion. Is feels nice. And looks nice. Although think I'll find a better back protector the one they give have with the case is too small and visable.
I don't see any "air capsule" model listed on the Spigen pages. Actually, none of the cases has "air" in its name at all. The closest I can find is a case for the regular S6 that has the word "capsule" in its name, but it doesn't sound like what people are talking about. What is the official Spigen name for the model?
I don't know if you would be allergic to this metal or not, but the aluminum bumper that someone linked to previously feels very nice on mine.

For the record I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid in the Metal Slate color and it does cover all of the metal sides (unless you poke a finger into the holes in the bottom for the ports). It has a clear back, but I'm finding that the clear back is much more smudgy than the pictures on the web site (and I have installed their "anti-smudge" back film, but it doesn't seem to solve the issue).

I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid case, it's not just a bumper case, the back is great with a pattern to increase grip and it's so sleek it doesn't affect the design of the phone, I really love this oneand so do a lot of people in their reviews, ah and by so far I haven't seen any other case for the S6 Edge that has this large number of reviews on youtube and android sites, alor of people got it, I got the Gunmetal color but it's in silver and gold as well with metalic and rubber buttons, (I prefer rubber)

Which case is this? Does it provide a good grip as I'm finding the phone too slim to use without a case.

It's the Aluminum bumper on amazon by NeWisdom. There are similar aluminum bumpers by other company's on Amazon and i assume they're all the same.
It's got a fair amount of grip... it's a matte finish metal so it's not super grippy. I get a good amount of slip reduction from the matte DBrand skin though.

Protective case for the X Compact?

Anybody come across a protective case yet for the phone. I'm specifically looking for the TPU plastic cases. Thanks.
Amazon has a few crappy hard cases and TPU cases. Put something on it until better cases come out. They do scratch.

Just ordered this case from Roxfit for ~$22 including shipping (from UK?). We'll see how it compares to what I already have when I get it.
Seriously, when is someone going to release an actual case for this phone? I'm talking something sturdy, not cheap plastic. Although, I'm not hugely impressed that the official sony case that I was planning on getting is currently on pre-order from mobilefun.com for $54... wow.

This case just came in the mail today. It took about 11 days to arrive. Fit is pretty good. The thickness of the material is a little thinner than I'm typically used to for TPU.

I've reviewed a few products I purchased on Amazon. (2) different screen protectors and a hard plastic case.
TLDR: both screen protectors are both undersized & the case is cheap but offers minimal protection.
Skinomi is now selling screen protectors and full body skins. I like mine!
If anyone likes Spigen.. please email them requesting them to make a case! Maybe if enough of us requests it they'll make one. I ordered the MicroP case and the Qosea case off Amazon. The MicroP case was thicker than the Qosea but both did not fit right. Qosea case edge wasn't raised enough to protect the screen and both bowed out the top (MicroP) and bottom (Qosea). The Qosea case felt like it would provide zero drop protection. Reminded me of the thick clear plastic wrap on restaurant chair cushions.
the problem with a lot of cases with hard backs is that dust and other crud will inevitably get between the case and the back of the phone leading to a lot of scratches. I'd be interested in a plain bumper case (no back) if anyone knows of a decent one

Been looking for the same thing. Think i stumbled on one the other day (ebay) but it was aluminum. I know aluminum ones can effect signal strength at times; So I have been holding out hoping a plastic one gets released soon.
I still fondly remember the official bumper for my old Nexus 4. It was perfect, and yet no manufacturer seems able to replicate anything like it anymore.
I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini souped up with official CM13. While the battery life is over 2.5 days and while it functions okey, I am ready to switch for something with better performance, more memory and a better camera. I'm this close to buying the XC but, especially since the notorious rep of Z-series' durability and especially since the plastic back of XC apparently scratches easily, I cannot since it doesn't seem to have quality protective cases in the market. I usually go for Case-Mate's Tough cases which are very protective and high-quality cases http://www.case-mate.eu/eu/other/sony.html. Unfortunately, as for now, Case-Mate isn't showing love for the XC even though they've made cases for all of the other Sony phones. I usually get my accessories via Amazon and these are the choices (the ones that seem good and better looks than those transparent gel cases everyone is seem to be getting for XC):
IVSO 'hard' case: https://www.amazon.co.uk/IVSO-Sony-Xperia-Compact-Case/dp/B01LCFH1J4/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1478770410&sr=8-8&keywords=x+compact+case
L&K TPU gel case: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Compact-LK-Resistant-Silicone-Protective/dp/B01LL1GDYS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1478770410&sr=8-4&keywords=x+compact+case
Terrapin 'hard' case: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Xperia-Compact-Case-Protection-Rubberised/dp/B01LYAIDVG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1478770500&sr=8-3&keywords=terrapin+x+compact
The problem is that none of these cases are A) high-quality or B) protective enough for accidental drops (based on the structure and the fact that everyone is saying these are good for 'light' protection. Then there are the two flip cases from Sony obviously (the ones you need NFC to be enabled for the flip cover to work)
Sony Style Cover Stand: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Style-Cover-Xperia-Compact/dp/B01LONE084/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1478770783&sr=8-4&keywords=x+compact+sony+style
Sony Style Cover Touch: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Style-Cover-Xperia-Compact/dp/B01LONE0SE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478770796&sr=8-1&keywords=x+compact+sony+touch
but I don't like these types of cases as the flip cover gets in the way. For me, the perfect case is a hard cover back case with inner shock protection (thin silicone sleeve or something), with raised edges so that the screen doesn't touch the ground and slim enough to not make pocketability difficult. I guess I either have to not buy the XC or buy XC with a crappy case and hope Case-Mate makes a Tough case for XC.

That may be the best one I've seen for XC. Unfortunately, it does have a few issues for me personally. While it does have raised lips in case the phone falls or gets hit by a flat surface, the bottom and top parts of the phone remain unprotected. Moreover, the buttons (obviously not including the button that doubles as fingerprint sensor) are unprotected as well (although this might be a good thing for the camera shutter button as many cases that have button protection make them harder to push). Finally, the design is very slim without a bumper so while drop/shock protection may not be optimal.
I will probably just hold off from buying the XC until I can get a more protective case.
Well I bit the bullet and ordered the XC. For case and screen protector, I ordered this EasyAcc transparent case and this screen protector from TechGear (I've used their products before). The case isn't the best for drop/shock protection but I guess I have to just be extra careful with the XC until Case-Mate or other quality manufacturer makes a good tough case. On the other hand, most people seem to go for these transparent cases and I've yet to see any reports on broken/cracked XCs.
Side note while hoping some manufacture makes a plastic bumper I am using the case linked below. It is the 3rd one I have tried so far and is also the best one out of the three I own. It's thin, but not too thin like the others so it offers slight drop protection. Also the front lip around the screen does protrude a bit to offer some screen protection. Best part is it was less than 4 dollars. Only negative is that it ships from China so expect a 2 week wait period before it arrives. http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Sony-Xperia-X-Compact-F5321-Black-Rubber-Skidproof-Gel-skin-case-cover-/182302722988?hash=item2a7216cbac:g:zpsAAOSwx2dYDjh3

I came from a Z5C and the Nillkin Frosted Shield Case was amazing. I would highly recommend this case for any phone. I am planning to place an order for the x compact version.
For those who don't wish to order from china (Nillkin HQ) please note this "TopAce" case looks exactly the same. I will report back once received.

This case is not at all like Nillkin. It feels kinda like silk and offers no better grip on the phone than the phone body itself. The photos were quite misleading. Would not recommend the TopAce case.

Few cases I picked up - Patchworks Level, Lumion Huey, Ringke Wave, Maxboost

Patchworks Level ITG
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Note-Patchworks-Level-White/dp/B075258BFF
I would say this is a intermediate protection case. It's slim and not very bulky. I would not be afraid to drop this onto hard concrete. Surprisingly nice looking packaging for a brand I haven't heard of.
This case simply hugs the phone, best fit of all the cases here. It's a hybrid material but it's molded as a one-piece case. It has enough grip on the TPU sides. The polycarbonate back has a matte finish so it will probably resist scratches well enough. There is an extra protruding lip near the camera opening so you can tell where to put your finger when you're looking for the fingerprint reader. This has to be the favorite of this bunch. I've never heard of the company but I am interested in seeing what they have to offer after using this case.
I would recommend this case for $13 retail.
-Hard polycarbonate back
-Soft TPU inner
-Really nice fit and finish
-Great fit
-Solid enough for drops
-Has space for metal plate (car mount)
Lumion Huey
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Note-Case-Huey-Lightweight/dp/B074T4LVJG
Thin TPU with nice texture and design on the back. There is no issue with fit and this will be my go-to for a slim TPU case. It slides on and off without much effort but it won't fall off by itself, but it is thin TPU so some may not like the flimsier sides. The company is now called Lumion, but I believe we all know them by the name VRS Design. They make decent cases from my experience with them. Good choice for light drop protection.
I would recommend this one for $10 retail.
-Slim
-Really decent fit
-Soft TPU
-Looks nice
-Brushed metal pattern on the bottom half
Maxboost mSnap
https://www.amazon.com/Maxboost-Midnight-Resistant-Excellent-Protective/dp/B0749CSD7D
Although it's nice and minimalist, it's just stiff polycarbonate and it's not particularly grippy. There isn't much in terms of lip around the camera area.
It's difficult to put on as the polycarbonate is pretty stiff.
I would pass on this case for the price of $8 retail.
-Really slim
-Hard polycarbonate
-Smooth
-Covers most of the phone
Ringke Wave
https://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Absorbent-Full-Body-Resistant-Protection/dp/B074GY1NPX
For a TPU hybrid case, it's very difficult to insert the phone.
They decided to use super stiff TPU. Feels like I was going to break my phone trying to put it in and take it out.
Large/sharp lip would lift your screen protector.
The case looks larger/thicker than it really is, and that's not a good thing.
I would pass on this one even though it's just $8 retail.
-Hard TPU Inner
-Two piece design
-Hard polycarbonate outer
-Large lip
Trianium Clear
https://www.amazon.com/Trianium-Clarium-Resistant-Ergonomic-Shock-Absorbing/dp/B074F4W8SW
Honestly, it's nothing special. It's similar to the Ringke Fusion series and nothing about it stands out. I can talk more about this one if anyone's interested. It'll probably yellow very quickly given the look and feel of the clear TPU.
I would pass on this case even though it's just $7 retail.
-Soft TPU sides
-Polycabonate back
-Cheap feeling TPU
That Maxboost case... mine came in yesterday, and I immediately circular-filed it. Glad I only payed 40¢ for it.

I'm waiting on the White Speck Presidio case to come down in price. I have 9 Ringke and Caseology cases. Most are nice but that grip of the Specks is unmatched.

Liking the Patchworks case. I love that it has space for car mount metal plates. This is really useful for me. I know Spigens thin fit case also have this. Anyone know of other cases with such feature?
Could someone please recommend a super thin case that has covers all of the bottom holes with flaps? Including the S-pen, USB, and Aux areas? I will gladly rock a pink case if that's the only available cover ^.^
I can't stand the sharp feel of cases with these holes exposed.
I have the ringke wave. It is very stiff but good for $1.92
Could anyone with the Patchworks case pictured in OP's post comment on whether it works with the Whitestone Dome?

The speck will have to wait because I am in love with the Patchworks Level case. The simple styling and feel in hand is amazing. The grip!!!! It's my daily driver for sure.
I absolutely LOVE the Patchworks Flexguard case for the S8+. Unfortunately I read the Note 8 version suffers from being too loose.
The more sturdy patchworks case came today and it is great!

Yeah this Patchworks level case put my other 9 caseology, ringke and lumion cases into retirement. I wish I had bought every color when the sale ran.
Honestly, I got the PW LEVEL case for $2 on a Slickdeals weeks ago. I have to say I am using it over all my Spigen and VRS cases right now. Everything about it is amazing
Ordered the Patchwork one with TPU clear back on amazon and they delayed it so they sent me the black level case for free. I like it, I think it is just a little bit "slippery" if my hands are dry.

The S8+ Level one was super slippery to me - like, crazy insane slippery if you had dry hands, because the back is 100% smooth matte hard plastic. I can't imagine why they didn't give it a little knurling. I was actually considering drizzling silicone sealant back and forth, like a pattern haha. I ended up going with the Flexguard and have been happy.
