Nice to see you again with the new ROM! I will check it in the next days and give a feedback.
One question: is the kernel modified somehow or is it pure CM kernel?
EDIT: afh link leads to a login site, not a download page!

Whoops!!! The link is fixed! Sorry for that!
The kernel is stock CM Kernel. Not modified in anyway.

hello, good rom, but I have a bug with theme app.
when I change for another theme, I hav a FC of system ui.
I want to change defaut theme because in notification drawer, I have black font on black or white font on white (with whatsapp, music, messenger)

Thanks for using my ROM.. I appreciate that. I use WhatApp too here and I've got no issues with Stock theme and I have been using a different theme since last week I've been testing this ROM. To fix this, try applying the theme and then Rebooting the device for full application. Or try clean flashing the ROM again..
Yes there are customizations for that. Go to Settings -> Configurations -> Buttons -> Buttons And Layout for adding a custom button on the Nav Bar..:good:

Thank you to answer.
I will try clean flashing, but already did it.
For the custom button, is it possible to pick an action of another app ?

Hi @hhrokarvi, I have tested your new ROM for a couple of hours and it is really full of features (I guess no onther ROM has so many options!) so anyone can configure a phone according to her/his needs. It also run smoothly and is compatible with Xposed and V4A.
However, I have found one issue - multiple partial wakelocks, as indicated by BBS or many apps listed in battery stats. So it is somehow similar to Beanstalk builds you provided some time ago. It is present on both, stock and custom kernels, so probably not related to kernel.
Can anybody confirm that or is it only my particular case?

Hey bro! Thanks for the comments.. I am running HurtSky Kernel right now and I've tested for 3 days on Stock kernel as well, and I didn't have Wakelocks issue, and my battery life is pretty amazing, around 3.5 hours of screen on time with WiFi on, certainly better than my past experiences with other MM ROMs for this device. I don't know what Apps you're running or have currently installed so I can't tell you anything for sure, but try testing it more for a better result. Check my Screenshot for a better understanding!
I'll try improving this situation in my next build.

Nah you can't pick actions for any apps, and try installing some other CM13 themes for your theming issues, if you don't want to clean flash the ROM immediately.

With the same set of apps I had no wakelocks problem on other MM ROM (CyanPop). On the other hand these wakelocks seem to have no impact on the battery life, it is weird, isnt't it? So I will try to ignore this as long as I don't see a negative effect Hopefully it will be gone in a short future.

Hey bro. Just change it's permissions by going into App Info of the Boat Browser, then going into the Permissions tab and enable it for External Storage

Update!
Hey Guys!! Update is up!
Download Link (Build 2)
Not so many changes, just a couple here and there. See RR's Github for any changelogs if you want.
Remember
After flashing the Update Zip, flash Gapps again!! If you don't, it's going to result in FC's...

Great ROM, pretty stable. Only got one random reboot, apparently for no special reason.
The only bug (I think it's a bug) is the update screen - attached
Anyway, it's the ROM I chose to use daily for now.

Its not official yet, that's why no OTA screen, I've applied for Official support, after that I'll set for OTA's.
The reboot bug isn't their in stock kernel, I use hurtsky kernel, which gives me the reboot sometimes, maybe once every other day.

Update!
Hey Guys! Update is upon us.
Download Link (3rd Build)
Not any major changes. Some small fixes and enhancements here and there. Check RR's Github for any changes you wanna see yourself.

Just in case
I'd really like to use a CM/Slim based ROM.... But every one I've tried for the past year has had flaky signal issues (on At&t), where the signal bar constantly jumps around from two - full - three - one - full and will continue doing this non-stop. I know it doesn't actually affect the signal, but it drives my OCD cRaZy :silly:
I have not tried a CM based ROM in about 3 months.... Has this issue been fixed on At&t phones?

The signal fluctuating from 3 to 0 bars had been fixed officially in cm12 this month. Not sure what commit it was bit they talk about it in the official cm12 thread over in the original HTC One m8 section.

To let you know, the fix is not commited in cm12.1 so the fluctuating bars is still present in all Android 5.1 roms right now. I only know official cm12.0 Android 5.0 has the fix and maybe other toms that are based off that.
Just as I flashed a GPE Rom... Tsk Tsk, never been on ASOP before. But this looks promising.
Is the CM Sound issue still in this ROM?
Nice work !
Is the distorted sound bug still there ??

Which issue u mean? Also, this is a very early 5.1 build. There are bound to be a couple bugs. Ill attempt to fix as they are reported.

Oh great, now you tell me after I flashed it!
No worries, I flashed it and seen the issue was still there...... Nice, smooth ROM otherwise, but my OCD went into hyper mode and I restored my previous ROM Nandroid.
I'll keep a watch on the CM threads for an update/fix for this.
Thanks!

Same issue as listed by the other user above haha, distorted sound in CM ROMS. Seems not based on your input though.
I'll install Project Era over the ROm and let you know if there are any issues with sound after that later tonight.
Guys maybe someone can help me out or point to the right direction I'm an audiophile I love this ROM but can't seem to find why audiofx or viper doesn't work on cm12 ROMs works fine on gpe and stock I've tried it all did some research and none seem to work out
Sent from my One M8 using XDA Free mobile app

Why not just install Project Era it works on ASOP all except for the beats addon.
5.1 seems a lot smoother
I see alot of sound issues but my Wi-Fi keeps dropping out. On Verizon, obviously clean flash, selected install all in gapps. It just drops. It first tells me can't connect to network on my 5ac or 2.4. Any ideas ?
The only problem I have is my WiFi not being able to connect but when I leave out of the setting and go back in it saves my password and I can connect from there. Also WiFi keeps dropping. Vzw.

- Settings doesn't always come up right away; may need to close it and grant root access on 2nd attempt
- "Contacts" ... give this screen ~10-15 minutes; if no action after 15 minutes, force reboot/battery pull
- Titanimum Backup issue? Reported - but no known resolution (looking into it).

Looks promising, can't wait to test this out. Does it have the WiFi keep dropping out issues that cm13 is suffering with (I'm running klte with cm13)
Can the VZW version be flashed to the Verizon developer edition, or should we use KLTE?
Thanks for updating this rom this build works great but for some reason i cannot restore all backups from titanium backup, batch restore does not work at all just hangs and individual restores only work for certain apps, i did not have this problem in unofficial builds, is there any fix for this ?
Proud of you RR Team !

ill be looking into it.
Will be testing this ROM in a few, thanks
Installed v5.6.0-20151220-klteusc Perfect install, no issue with contacts, came right up after 5-7 minutes. Beautiful. Everything seems to work great so far. I installed with opengapps mini version.
Thank you so much! Awesome!
Been using this for a few hours and hands down an amazing ROM. Everything working perfectly. Thanks so much!
Hi.
Nice to see you release RR M for klte.
One question, is boeffla kernel working with it?
In boeffla thread I always read about it is only running with albinoman886 ROM.
Is it so?
128GB card support?
Gents,
Has anybody tried to use 128GB with this rom? If so, does it require reformatting before becoming accessible?
thanks
on us cellular: same 2 issues as v5 5.5.8
1. MMS using stock sms does not work, will test an alternate (Textra)
2. shows "No service" in the status bar under the cellular connect icon, even though connected and working fine.

You are flashing a custom kernel at your risk. If you have questions about the kernel visit boeffla thread.

Just noticed infrared not working for me. I use "Galaxy Universal Remote (3.99)" and it did work on v5.5.8.
edit: nevermind. Installed Peal remote (was OEM bloatware and it works fine. Must just be the app. Sorry for the mislead.

Beta 8 Working brilliant here!
@fumes007: Thank you for continuing the development of our beloved S5s :victory: I'll start testing the first beta build in a few days myself, and report back then.
But until then, just one question: are we only suppose to flash "ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.6.0-20151219-klte.zip" together with "OpenGapps" - as suggested under the rom instruction section, or would flashing the rom together with "SlimGapps" (Slim_zero_gapps.BETA.6.0.build.0.x-20151215-2013.zip) work as well?

I have not tested this yet, I am waiting until I find some time to do so.
Also I am fully aware that this thread is a formatting disaster.
Be aware that this is @LuK1337's sources just used to build RR, so give him credit too.
Just got it up and running all morning, everything is working great ! Everything that was working in Lineage is working fine here, all the RR customize tools are working, we can finally enjoy navigation buttons and disable hardware buttons as well ! Good job buddy, I've finally found my daily driver I will keep you updated if I encounter any bugs

I will be testing this myself, but could you confirm that the bug causing 15%+ battery drain overnight was fixed? Also, thank you for the feedback.
Just installed this on my tab s2. Got everything I wanted installed. Feels much faster than TouchWiz. In the future will this rom include safetynet patches? I'll post again in a few days any bugs / major issues that i have.
Really happy to see development for the tab s2. Downloading now!
@Lightn1ng
Thanks for this new rom! I'm using your lightn1ing rom 6.x on my T719 ... would it be possible to make this rom also for the T719?
Would really very much appreciate.

You can flash the t713 version on a t719 but cell won't work. Other than that it should work.

Thanks, flashed it works great! Would some beer motivate you to add the cell part to t713?
Is it only me or the tablet tends to get hotter at times ? I do know that Touchwiz has more aggressive CPU throttling hence the small lags but it manages to keep the tablet cool, and I've always noticed that AOSP roms tend to run hotter. I thought it only happened on Exynos devices (you can cook a pizza with AOSP on the Tab S 8.4) but since this is a Snapdragon device, I was actually surprised. Anyone else having this small issue ? Or should I give it a couple of days for the ROM to settle ?

uhh magisk hide isn't turning on. i think that is the problem there, i check the box enable, reboot, and it shows it's off.

I don't have a device to test with. I really do not have the skill to do it anyway.

I have noticed this on my T700, and my G900V. Not really played around with it on my T713 yet. I believe this can all easily be tweaked with Kernel Auditor, which I recommend, because AOSP tends to give a lot more power than TW when it's not needed.

Magisk hide is what hides root from SafetyNet and apps that detect root basically
It's not enabling for some reason; it works perfectly fine on my OnePlus 3t which is also running Resurrection Remix (official build however)
@Lightn1ng
Feedback / bug report
I just discovered two things:
- proximity sensor is not detected (at least my gravity screen app is complaining)
- mic is not working (checked with two apps voice recording and okay google)

This is back to being the official. I will leave a redirect to this one on the new one since it opened again right after I made the new one. Politics caused me to leave the first time, not this time. I'm staying put.

After lots of procrastination and Life-ing, I present to you my Resurrection Remix builds. It has been a long time coming. It shares all of the same issues LineageOS faces, as they are very close, and because i use the device tree. thanks to all who made that possible, such as @Unjustified Dev to name one and @DrakenFX to name another. Builds will be weekly, and at the time of writing this, I am building it.

Any changes since last week's build? I'm assuming the new sound fix is in. Currently running your latest AICP, it's always a hard choice between these two.
Awesome!!
The absolute best ROM on the board! Used this on my HTC and Nexus devices, glad it's here! (found it last week - running the 4/16 build).

The sound fix has been in on both of my roms and it is amazing. I would say it is a hard choice to pick between both roms as well because I have to keep going back and forth. But I must say, my favorite out of the 3 I build for currently is RR. Specifically having Headers on the quick settings bar is life.

Does that mean this ROM doesn't properly display Daydream yet? (Many apps not doing split screen, and choppy motion)

One thing I'll admit to liking more about AICP right now is that the Nav setting in QS either enables or disables the Nav bar without opening up the menu. Just seems quicker and more efficient that way.
What Rom are you building other than these two?
Question: Quick charge 3.0 is still active when using Resurrection Remix correct?
Sent from my ZTE A2017U using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I use this rom on axon 7 from the start ftom uniffical builds, and is the best rom till date. The only problem I have is that vibrate on call / anwser rarely work. Anyone has the same problem? Can this be fixed?
The other thing is not a bug but a request ?
Is it possible to make fingerprint reader as extra button? Swipe or double tap to open apps or notifications like some other phones have.
Thank you for your work
Thank you @twilighttony for maintaining RR for our Axon 7 keep up the good work man
Great rom, thanks very much
Plenty of great ROMs for our phone, but this one tops my list. Thank you for its continued support!
This definitely is the time to join the Axon7 train.
Development just started to get serious, and this rom simply got me jumping in the carriage without looking back over my shoulder.
Thank you! ???

Yes, Quck Charge 3.0 is enabled, I use it when I have to, I've heard that 3.0 isn't good for the battery, so i charge it at normal speed with a regular charger and use the included one when i need some battery in a short time.

I am building for SixOpenAndroidProject for axon 7 as well, however it is a brand new rom with not much there except that it is los based so i haven't uploaded the builds yet as I and the main guy for that project are working on adding stuff. There is also a google plus for it as well.

No problem, this rom is my favorite as well. It was a shame to see it drop support when that happened.
Great rom. Although have an issue.
When I call someone, the sound comes from the speakers by default not the earpiece. To fix that I have to turn on speaker mode one and off. Then the earpiece works. Is there a way to fix that?

Hello, this rom looks promising.
I was a long time RR user since the S3 era.
Does this support substratum themes?

Whats Working
I assume everything that is also working in an official RR release.
** NB: Bluetooth works for me **
RR ROM includes Magisk for root access and the Pixel Launcher & Trebuchet.
Bugs
I assume everything that is also NOT working in an official RR release.
I have had issues with applying substratum theses specifically on the playstore
If you find any other... then report them here., and I will duly ignore
Procedure
Download the latest GApps from OpenGapps
Boot to TWRP
Make a nandroid backup, and ensure this backup is not on the device itself
Wipe Data, Cache , System & Dalvik-Cache
Flash the ROM Zip
Flash Gapps ARM -> 7.1
Done - Reboot to [System]
Wait...
Wait...
Enjoy!

App changes
Changes regarding apps.
1. Have replaced the unsupported/old/crippled CM File manager with a brilliant file manager called MiXplorer, thanks to the dev @HootanParsa, so go visit the thread and pass on some thanks/credit. The thread is also very active and a great spot for support
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523691
2. By default, RR added a menu item in settings called "Performance" which only became visible if you installed Kernel Adiutor from the market. I have by default installed the app KA-Mod-Reborn, which does the same things, without the monetization found in KA from the market. It also does not have a bug I found in KA whereby changing the CPU Gov broke the hot-plugging of CPUs. Please visit the thread to extend some thanks to the dev @Ali Haide 001 for allowing me to do so, and also visit it for any support.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/approot4-0-ka-mod-reborn-v18-t3714105
3. I have replaced the default Deskclock with OmniRom's deskclock, so thanks to OmniRom for that
4. I have replaced Eleven (the default music player) with Vinyl Music Player (Eleven has always been buggy for me with a large music collection) Originally I used Phonograph (from Omnirom), but it was missing a few features (such as a dark theme) which is in the OpenSourced GPL'd Phonograph by Kabouzeid, and Vinyl also has crashanalytics disabled. Thanks to Adrien Poupa for confirming he is happy to share :good:
5 De-bloated the RR OTA Updates (NB: It crashes if you try and select it, so simply dont), and the RR Statistics
6. Also includes the latest (as of 20 Feb 2018) Magisk and Magisk Manager
7. iOS EMOJI's

I built this ROM as my previous daily device just died :crying: so am not familiar with the "flashlight toggle bug as in other nougat roms", as I only just restarted using this device. And actually, I am waiting on a SDCard holder part from ebay, so currently I am actualy using a third device as my daily. What's the bug?

After every reboot you have to delete and readd the torch tile to quick settings once to make it work. Otherwise the torch won't turn on. Don't know about this rom either, but los14.1 has this bug.

My torch tile works every-time:good:, and I have done a number of reboots since I originally added it, so i guess it does not have this bug.:highfive:
I have just noticed one small bug, which may just be an artifact from the fix, or it could be what you are actually talking about.
The torch works correctly, and every-time without needing to re-add it to the QS Tiles. However, I have noticed that when I turn the torch off, the QS still shows it as being on until I hide the QS Tile panel. But the tile still turns the torch on and off, it just does not turn the QS tile off, when the torch is turned off.
Flashing this through TWRP 3.2.1-0 didn't work for me, stuck when patching system image, maybe the file I downloaded got corrupted?
Edit : I don't think it's corrupted, maybe I should use the recovery uploaded by kyasu?

I have both my data and cache partitions formatted as F2FS
I used the latest open GApps, Pico
In reality, I am running TWRP 3.1.0, but I really don't think that helps or hurts
Are you sure you wiped Data, Cache AND SYSTEM. You cannot dirty flash this over ANY other ROM, including another RR ROM!
Have you tried flashing just the ROM, does that boot?
It worked first time for me, and it appears others have also had success (ie no complaints) so it sounds like something on your end.
The only time it failed for me was when I tried to dirty flash over an existing RR ROM\
Wait a sec, you crashed while it was flashing? that does sound like a bad zip or (much less likely) a bad TWRP. I think ZIP. check the MD5:good:

In case anyone is thinking of reformatting their data partition to F2FS, please note, in doing so, you will also loose everything on your internal SD Card as well!
Reformatting your cache partition to F2FS is pretty safe, and I personally think of it as a "no-brainer"

ResurrectionRemix has ceased updates to Nougat. However, a lot of the source comes directly from LineageOS, so that will include some changes/fixes. As for Security Patches, these are dependent on RR, and I have seen crDroid (which is still doing dev on Nougat, and I used to build for my previous device) have included the latest security patch while RR has not. Its all up to the devs at RR, I certainly am not going to update and apply the security updates against RR source. Interestingly, the last security patch applied against RR, was actually after the date they said they had ceased dev on Nougat.
For background, my last device just died, and so I plan on switching to this device, and noticed how old the RR build was, and also saw the opportunity to use the Uber Toolchain (the last thing I did for my previous device before it died). The problem I have with this device is that the SDCard reader is faulty, and I am having issues getting the replacement part, at a good price.
So, as far as regular goes, then NO. The other RR builds are probably so backdated because of the above fact. However, if there is a change in the source that improves the ROM running on MY device, for ME, then I will do a build. Its all about me But more importantly, if I cant find a cheap WORKING sim/sdcard reader replacement, this may just be the last build. Everyone sells the part for an i9505 and they are NOT interchangeable as most would have you believe.

You hit the mark!
I have seen many images that were not continued, and this hits me in particular after a severe security bug has been identified.
The reason why I'm asking is quite simple: if you don't intend (for whatever reason) to maintain this image, I would prefer to install another one.
My interpretation of your response is that you will deliver updated images once you identify a benefit for your personal usage.
What about fixes for malfunctions?

You have to understand, most if not all ROM developers are not in this for the money. Some are into it as a hobby/interest and maybe gain experience (not me, its not my direct area), and as such, when a new version comes along, in this case Oreo, they move onto that. If you really need the latest security patches, then I would suggest moving onto an Oreo ROM. Maybe even update your device as well. Or maybe build a ROM of your own.
I currently personally like Nougat RR, for the features and eye-candy. I keep financials and very personal info off my phone; ie security is not as high a priority.

As I suggested, maybe Oreo would be best for your needs. Or something else that is still being developed. Such as crDroid. The last time I checked, they have the latest Security patch and are still developing their Nougat branch.
I get NO benefits from you using my ROM. If anything, it means more time responding to questions. However, it appears that the existing build of RR Nougat, for this device is much older, with an older security patch. And as I keep stating, RR has ceased dev, and most other devs have moved onto Oreo. I would not expect too many more other releases of RR, and they will most likely stick with the current security patch. Most official devices have had their "FINAL" builds already released. I have not checked, but these may even be on the previous security patch

My interpretation of your response is that you will deliver updated images once you identify a benefit for your personal usage.

I would only even look at it directly if it affects me personally, and badly. This ROM is simply a share of a build I did for myself. The changes I think you are talking of, are the type of thing the RR team (or LOS) would look into; and note, if LOS don't fix it, the RR team certainly wont, and not all LOS fixes come through into RR. I have a life and work outside of building android ROMs.
I flashed the boot.img from this rom on los14.1 to get those sweet extra governors to play around with. It's working great so far!
