Hello, it would very interesting for a lot of users including me, how you get to install a working xposed Framework on the Huawei p8... Can you give a instruction, how you maked it? Have you Android 5.0 or 6.0? Until now, there was no possibility and no workaround for this issue. I am also wondering, how you did this and with wich version of xposed Framework... Please answer as soon you can. Thanks

Hello, thanks for the pictures! So I can see, you have the P8 Version GRA-UL00, with chinese Firmware B230, and you have Android 5.0.1 - with a working Xposed Framework Version 80 installed without problems with the navigation bar..
This is very interesting, because until now, nobody got the xposed Framework to work on Huawei Lollipop Roms like Huawei P8. That's why I have some more questions. But before I am asking, I try to give you an answer, why the gravity box module don't work. I am sure, the problem is the Huawei EMUI 3.1 Launcher. If you like a working gravity box, you must use another launcher like Nova. You will find instructions how to do it on the sites of xda. I think, this would solve your problem, because xposed cannot use the resource APIs within EMUI, this makes the conflict for gravity box. You have to make a twrp or clockworkmod backup, before experience with another launcher. In the worst case you can play the backup return. And now my question : would you please so kind to write me, how you did install the framework on your smartphone with your words. Do you use xposed arm64 or arm? Do you install the apk first, or did you flash the framework first through Recovery? Have you a download link from the framework you used to install? Best Regards, still wait for your answer, thank you!

Thank you say about using another Launcher's advice, I have time to try, then will tell you the result.
Now I tell you I method of installation framework version, install the framework of the program is XposedInstaller_3 0 _alpha4. Apk, brush with clockworkmod into the framework of the patch is xposed v80 - sdk21 - arm64. Zip, the above two programs can be download in the XDA to, want you to succeed, but the most important thing is that, before installing the framework, you must be on the basis of the official firmware, brush into a DEODEX of system, and then install the operation of the framework, otherwise is not successful, hope you can succeed.

Thank you very much for your instructions! I understand everything, except the processing of deodex the system. I know what it means, but don't know yet how to do it. Which tool do you use for deodex the system? Must be only the system partition deodexed? There's not much information on the Internet how to do it, I need your help. Thanks beforehand

Thanks for your answer! I found even some links... I will try, when I have more time. And after I will tell you the result. Its not so easy, because I am on Android 6.0... Hopefully you have luck with the gravity box inside another launcher.

Hello again... The good message is: Deodexing is no more necessary on Huawei Phones... See the thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765 With the new version of xposed-framework, Huawei Phones are officially supported without deodexing the rom... And with this Gravity Box should also work. Have a nice day!

Ah ok. Well, I'm afraid I can't help you. Neither the BusyBox variant that comes with Xposed Installer nor the "cp" in your recovery are able to overwrite the file, but that's necessary for Xposed.
I already have installed busybox but the path is /xbin..
No solutions?! it's possibile to make a sptools version?!

It seems the device doesn't support overwriting app_process, is it because Huawei add some security restrictions on overwriting /system partition? Will manually copy and overwrite app_process via adb shell succeed?

Maybe, I don't know. You should find the new executable in /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/bin after pressing install/update. Make sure that /system/bin/app_process.orig exists, then try to copy the executable. If that works, check that the correct permissions are set, like this:
-rwxr-xr-x root shell 21980 2014-06-11 23:45 app_process
Hi,
I have the same huawei honor 3C as you. I want to say if you have your device rooted completely, you can install xposed framework, although you can't active the official version until you disabled resouce hooks in setting.
You can see this thread to remove the i attribute of some system files to have your device rooted completely.

It's about in #73 to #80.
And in #71, there's a modified Xposed Installer 2.5 Final for Huawei Emotion UI.
Unfortunately, this is the last version for us if we don't want the resouce hooks to be disabled.
Hope @rovo89 can make official xposed framework compatible with Emotion UI, so we can use a full function brand new xposed.
Many thanks to you, rovo89, for your great work.

I actually went in using my root explorer and modified it with this method
So after that I did download the sdfix app and opened it.it said that no action was needed.
Would you happen to have or could you upload the flashable zip file of the 2.6.1 version that can be created using xposed framework.

As long as the bootloader is unlocked and you don't have to use any kind of Safestrap recovery than it won't matter.

Touchwiz lollipop roms are special and don't work with the regular xposed framework. There is a workaround by arter97 that works as far as I know only for deodexed touchwiz roms:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463
Install first the xposed installer app (link provided in arter's thread, then flash xposed-v65-sdk21-arm-arter97-V5-generic.zip. However, as I said, presumably only running on deodexed roms.
Best, maris
Probably right. Peronsally I found lollipop to be actually downgrade rather upgrade.. So I'm rolling back to Kitkat. 4.4.2 is the best.
So, this is compatible with stock launcher?
Can someone repost the zip file. Thanks

Sorry, new to this in general but what purposes does xposed framework provide?

Apply new theme to Marshmallow with Layer Manager

Jealous of CyanogenMOD users who can change the appearance of their interface whenever they want? No need to be jealous anymore, you can now do it on a stock version of Marshmallow Android.
-First, you have to install Busybox on Rails and follow the instructions inside the app to install Busybox (root needed). Once Busybox is installed, you don't need Busybox on Rails app anymore, you can uninstall it.
-Then, you need to install Layer Manager (the app need root).
That's it, after those two steps, you can install tons of new themes downloaded from the PlayStore like this one: Prime Layers theme. Install any Layers theme you want and then, you can enable them using Layer Manager app. There's only one minor annoyance: you will need to reboot every time you apply a new theme.
Edit: users are reporting that you need to uninstall the current theme in use before installing any new theme. Failing to do so could result in a bootloop. Better be safe than sorry, so if you want to try another new theme, make sure you restore your phone to original condition, by uninstalling any previous Layer theme and then reboot.
OMG! THank you so much! Made my day!

Instead of being rude, why don't you just learn to use the search function? Hijacking another thread and asking question totally unrelated to the original post is a lack of respect to others people. It is, quite frankly, really frustrating. Also, if you are rude, it expose yourself to people answering you with rude answer. My suggestion would be to use this famous link, you'll get the answer you are looking for: Xposed for Marshmallow

Always create a Nandroid backup before playing with this
Always reboot after flashing theme (even it's only the playstore or any other app)

Didn't knew it will bootloop cause I flashed two themes. First I applied a theme and then rebooted. It was ok as the theme was applied. Then I applied 2nd theme and rebooted but the theme didn't got applied. I rebooted again, wiped my cache and dalva cache but then I went to uninstall layers tab in layers manager and there I saw both of the layers applied. Uninstaller here (I don't know if it'll work with the systemless one, worth a try):
https://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/uninstaller/
Try this Xposed instead:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-5-0-x-t3455992

Read the thread I sent (I edited the previous post with it). It explain everything there and there's only one zip there also (attached to the thread). Also, don't forget to clean the caches after you flash it, it's important.
that one is for xposed installer not for Magiks !!! i dont want to bootloop my phone again

Dude... The zip is attached there, and as you said the magisk one DON'Twork for you... So, there's nothing to do, try the one I sent, the zip is attached there so is the uninstaller, which means that if something goes wrong like a loop, just flash it and gone. Let's finish this useless conversation, solution is already there lol.
The only difference btw the magisk one and the normal one is that the magisk one is systemless.
we are here to help each other, tahts purpose of forums.
I was using xposed with normal root (superSu) and now I want to install magisk and systemless xposed, because my bank app refuse to starts (it detects root).
I tried these files
xposed-v87.1-samsung-5.0.x-sdk21-by-dkcldark-arm.zip
Xposed_Framework_(SDK_21)-89.3_(Systemless).zip
Xposed_Framework-v89-v90b3r8.zip
and all of them give bootloop

I know, my bad if it sounded rude.
Anyways, did you even read the Xposed Systemless thread? It says there clearly that you won't be able to pass the SafetyNet either with the original or with the systemless one, which means that no matter which one you choose, your bank app will still detect it, since it break the SafetyNet. That's it.
After all, you gotta choose between using Xposed but not pass the SafetyNet, or not use Xposed and pass it.
I have two recommendations for you now:
- 1st is to not use Xposed.
- 2nd (if Xposed is really that important and you'll die if you can't have it) is to update your device, Lollipop is so old, neither that system itself or Xposed for it have support, for a long time ago...
Use a custom rom to update your device to the latest Android if possible or if Samsung didn't release any further update for you (you can search for one for your device model here). Although, even if you update, Xposed will still break the SafetyNet, but it'll at least work and not loop...
Also read this in RED (from official Xposed thread):

It won't fellow, I assure you, if you don't believe me, just see check the threads I mentioned, they say the same. This app you sent is not available in my country though.
If you really want xposed you can just Uninstaller xposed installer app and disable xposed in Magisk to use your banking app (and pass SafetyNet) then just re-enable when done
*Why not just use the banks website instead of the app, then you wouldn't have to worry about it at all.

Read from the beginning, he's unable to use Magisk one since it gives him a loop, also the original one, and he's using lollipop.
I did, but I'm understanding it as the Magisk one worked fine, he just couldn't use his banking app, so he tried to flash regular xposed (but the wrong version for his phone) and it bootlooped. So I was giving him suggestions on how to work around his problem.
Are we sure it bootlooped? Some phones take upwards of 20-30 minutes for that first boot after installing xposed

And I already told you that you won't. Better do some research about SafetyNet and how Xposed affect it. Unless you do what I've recommended to you, and the tips given above by BurnedDrake will also help you.
