get GPE 5.1 on m7spr - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I have made a little modification of NuK3rn3l_m7vzw_GPE-5.1_v9.0 to get baseband and simcard to work.
It's work fine now.
here's the UL variant H17 nandroid backup, pure gpe5.1, ask me for a modified kernel
IT IS NOT A ROM

Dont forget to edit updater-scirpt if you replace a UL/VZW ROM with the modified kernel(boot.img) , because some partitions are different from the other variants.

Nice! Thank you. I'll do it.
I have a few questions before doing the whole proccess:
Should we recover the backup you linked in the OP? or it's fine if we flash the original one? Could we flash the Google Play Plus version? (It would be nice. Also here is the Verizon variant version)
What should we do with the partitions stuff?:
Code:
mmcblk0p35 boot
mmcblk0p37 system
mmcblk0p38 cache
mmcblk0p39 data
And after flashing the ROM we just flash your kernel (assuming we are S-OFF)?
I would like you to clarify all this for us. Thanks in advance!
Sorry for my bad English, too!

You don't need to flash the kernel if you have replaced a UL/VZW GPE rom with it…but to the S on users, that's as it should be. So edit updater-script is needed then.
In fact we can get GPE Plus Version to work with a modified custom kernel, but I haven't permission from santod yet.
The backup is just a material, you will get a unroot GPE after you flash the kernel.

isn't the kernel u sent us considered a custom kernel? so it should work with the plus edition right

You are right. Unlock is a permanent thing (hardware short). However, some people may want to have the Unlocked text gone if they want to warranty. Does this remove the unlock text? I know regular SBF's remove the unlock text (but phone is still unlocked).

Yes, this is a full, flashable rom. As for Knox, this does not include the new firmware so there is no Knox to be tripped once you flash this.
Even if you ARE on the new firmware though, you have already tripped your Knox flag to 0x1 just by flashing a custom recovery, so flashing this rom will be an after-the-fact matter anyway.
Omg thank you Cnexus!!

Thank you so much, Once you pull the firmware from an OTA device, would it be a just firmware patch flash, or would it be integrated in the rom and have to reflash the rom? Coming from HTC and we were able to just flash firmware separated from rom. Don't want to assume it's the same for samsung. Thanks again

I'm sure someone will come up with the flashable for that soon. When they do, it will just be the firmware, not an entire rom since they are independent of one another.

We CAN make a firmware flashable, it will just be more tedious than pulling from the OTA.zip like before. The firmware partitions from a 4.3 OTA'ED device will need to be pulled using su and dd like so:
Code:
su
dd if=/dev/block/<firmwarePartition1> of=/sdcard/firmware1.img
dd if=/dev/block/<firmwarePartition2> of=/sdcard/firmware2.img
...
And so on for the rest of the firmware
Because once the OTA'ED device boots up again, it will have the patched firmware, so we can just grab it from there and make a flashable. Just one more step really since they decided to patch instead of updating.
Ok I will get that for you buddy so you can do what you do best

If the radio was updated the kernel was almost defintely updated. The updater will install new modules for the new kernel. If you're talking about wp_mod, you don't need it anymore if you're s-off. If you're not s-off, then it'd need to be hexedited to load on the new kernel.

If the radio was updated the kernel was almost defintely updated. The updater will install new modules for the new kernel. If you're talking about wp_mod, you don't need it anymore if you're s-off. If you're not s-off, then it'd need to be hexedited to load on the new kernel.

just md5'ed the 1.12 and update 1.54 boot.img, and definately dif. But good call on s-off making it not necessary, I totally forgot about that

Hi, bit of a Noob to custom roms, I am on stock Nougat installed and have TWRP as recovery installed,
Couple of Questions, Best way to flash this (Flash Tool ? Flashmode ?) -
I will lose all apps and have to restore (not a problem). Will the stock camera DRM issues be fixed in this ?(bit confused on all this DRM when you unlock the bootloader, I know you lose some of Sony tweaks for camera).
Will I be able to run banking apps etc that complain about phone being rooted ?
If anyone can point me to idiots guide to flashing this rom I would be very greatful as looks amazing and have heard many positive things !
What about kernel and drm fix.
Not compatible for dual sim.
Liked that your rom is based to stock.
I will test dual sim version if available in the future to show the differance between this an other op rom.
Thank you

Try Aura's room. This rom only for F8331 devices. You can flash it but your second sim will not work I think.
When is the rom uploaded? I'm dying waiting for it.
Rom uploaded, enjoy!

I am not sure if it is possible or it will work but you can try to flash Frago's rom and flash custom kernel by AndroPlus for second sim to work but I can't confirm it will work. Also just keep in mind if you just flash F8331 on F8332 device you might get FC's or soft brick your phone I am not sure.

The installation is easy from advanced recovery, make full wipe and install file AURORAROM.V33.0 rebuil…anluu68.zip , you will get the aroma install and there are well choose everything you want to put and for your model.
Postscript: if you look at the official page there are more different custom that are also worth but this is the best good a greeting
:good:
the aod works with khongloi kernel or is a new one?

If you have installed the khongloi v11 kernel, I aod I do not use it because it spends a lot of battery, if it works, but if I recommend better to change the kernel for the khongloi v8 that spends less battery and funcina all the same bixby vision goes perfect

My question is, does AOD works with a new kernel made by toanluu68, or need to use the khongloi one? just make that question because khongloi is a battery killer...
Thanx again for your replies !
Can't wait to try it ! I'll do so as soon as possible, and will give you feedback. I'm on 928f. Hopin' that everything will go right...!

Under twrp recovery, go to file manager and look for /data/system/locksettings.db and delete the file. reboot.
Just make a backup before deleting it.
