The threads closed because ( most likely ) the devs didnt have enough time. Not sure if they are going to open again.
PS: XZ is a quite old device thats why there are not many MM builds
PS2: Didnt get the one with the earpiece ?_?

This is the earpiece issue here it's pretty common to Xperia users I have read in few webs
Anyway I don't think there's something problem with being old (S2 has official nightlies and it's damn old) cz as u can see in cm13 thread it says closed on qsnc's request can we pm the op in this thread???

I got it y it's closed perhaps it's because the camera currently needs working and cm devs follow a standard (I don't know) according to which they can't release builds that don't offers all the basic hardware function working so I guess it will be surely back when camera is functioning
Still be happy if someone confirms that if it's the only reason
this thread will be closed one this is confirmed.
(since it's general so I think I can post that)
Btw I felt bad for devs working for yuga poor guys posting it so many times that it's devdb and at the end what they get multirom not working I can't flash further support I think that's also the reason there's no mm yet yuga if noobs are reading then plz let the devs live they are humans they don't get paid for it they are doing it for fun they are humans they have life (I even wanted to be rude but it's xda)
Thanks devs if u reading it

Important ........... !!!

Dear friends ,
As well all know that kernel is important for the battery life and making the final version of froyo for our X1 .. so cant we all get together and join the development in kernel section instead of requesting all the new versions of ports .. this will prove as obstacle in path of making a complete working version ...
This is my personal thinking plz leave your opinion what you people think abt this ..
Devs are are also requested to share their words !!
Thank you .........
Happy .. Androiding )
ya i agree our kernel developers dont have a proper objectives and feedbacks to develop and our users dont have a proper place for latest kernel and builds information
I say we should make a united android development team and by that i mean neopeek.com and kovsky kernel development threads active developers to come toghether and divide the development among them selves and share their knowledge to release better ports.
we should have a proper thread or website to have a connection with the users too. we could restart the XPEROID.com again and have a proper threading and network between the users and developers so that even users have a proper place to report problems and get to know about the latest releases
I think thats the only way where we will get alot of users, there will be alot of testing and reportings and finaly we can manage to develop better ports
but before anything we need to know if developers,XPEROID.com owner and the rest of the users are willing to co-operate or not
So what do you suggest? There were many sites, even a bugtracker. But nothing was used.
i really agree what ... kerfooly said and really felt bad that 350 people read it but nobody replied with their idea ... Thought. Instead every one wants their device to run froyo
i would like to ask the moderator 4 this post to be sticky... If possible.... Bcz we would not succed witout planning...

Because I haven't seen it. This is a new kernel source, which require better publishing so our devs can work through it. I haven't copied it from your post. I got it on our facebook page for mi-410. Thank you.

I am not saying that you copied from my post... even I took it from facebook page and as this kernel is only for RC 3 I posted in that thread... if check thread carefully you will find on last between page only....no need to post separately .... anyway my point is in regards to forum space which is wasting because of repeated post and thread....and its two month old ... no point in posting separate after such a long time ...
Besides the pushing of that old topic, I've tried a number of the newer/recent firmwares and they all have one or the other bug. Something is not working, crashes, or screws up. Nasty stuff sometimes. I am back to the 2.3 series, and perhaps I may refresh my now very old MacLite with a Sharp version. Depends a bit on my time, but I think it's still the better firmware for our phone. That is, one where everything works!

Yeah it's true that we are still struggling to get a good, nicely working ICS+ ROM. But without trying new ones, it's impossible to fully utilize our device capabilities.
Hope for the best bro.
And yeah Sharp is a great ROM.

thanks for this post gautam .... i didn't knew there is .14 version kernel available for our device ... and whatever i try my permanent rom is a gingerbread , so thank you for posting ....

[Q] KitKat on Cooper?

Hi, i'm a new member of the forums but i have been cheking the youtube channel and also used the forum to root my device and also to install some custom roms in it.
I'm currently using CM 10.1.6 modded and it works perfectly and very smooth
so first of all thx to those guys http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2212438
second, i would like to know if we, the cooper users are we going to have 4.4 on our devices anytime soon? i dont know if that is even possible; maybe the fact that we are already able to run 4.2.2 is big step. However; kitkat will be us a performance increase? is it gonna use less ram for exaple (the s5830 really lacks on that point)
thx
(I'm pretty suprised about all the anti spam security measures that this forum has, i have never seen something similar)

Maclaw posted on his fb wall that there would a release soon. He later told that he was working on cm11
AFAIK, maclaw is planning to release a new kernel. Would be nice to see a CM11, though I am a little reserved regarding it

Yesterday he confirmed that he is working on CM11 for Ace. We should just give MAclaw some time. I know, I hate him too
i have just seen his troll video about kitkat, seems close hehe
Best to discuss kitkat here. Keep it in one thread

[Q] CyanogenMod/FXP support ?

Hi,
I've a Z1 since the beginning and I didn't unlocked it because of the Camera bug.
I've been under a rock for a long time (backpacking thru Sri Lanka, India and south-east asia).
I just realized with the 4.3 firmware, we can unlock the bootloader.
But my problem is : I'm a CM addict and I didn't see nightly for Z1 (honami). I have the 6903.
I'm pretty sure I saw it supported before my trip (before the camera fix). Am I wrong ?
I looked a lot in the forums (with really slow internet connection) but I didn't find my answer.
Will Z1 be supported (again) by Cyanogenmod/FXP soon ? Is there a technical problem before it can happen ?
Thank you for your time
Michaël

For CM11 take a look at this thread.
It seems that FXP is in the last time not so active and some guys seems left the team (LeTama - he have now a Note 3, Kali seems very busy with other stuff (Nexus) - I now it from the xperia S time). But sometimes there are some changes in their builds. You can see them on their changelog-site.
The main reason for no support for Z1 is, that you don't find our device in the list from cyanogenmod. Also take a look at CM-changelog-site for updates for SONY-devices. If there is any hint for Z1 (honami), be sure that FXP and other devs (like @RaymanFX - he is a very good dev and he talks to the community - xperia S users know what I mean) will start development.
I know it's not on the CM list. My question is why ? Since the bootloader can be unlocked, I don't see any reason the other Xperia brother phones are and not this one. If it's just a question of FXP maintainer free time, I totally understand. I was just curious.
Thank you for your quick answer.
PS : The CM11 thread is closed.

Reason for closing was: No builds, no downloadlinks.
I know.
My question is not clear enough. Sorry.
I want to know if it's man power or technical problems preventing new builds to be built.

Oh !! as I wrote in the first post, I've been under a rock so I didn't realize the bootloader problem was fixed so recently.
Thank you.

Marshmallow - No Modem/Camera Drivers?

Hello everyone,
New to the forum, so please excuse me if this is a foolish question, but: From what I read, upgrading to the developers copy of Marshmallow provided by sony causes camera & modem to become non-operational because Sony has not released the drivers for these components. Is this correct, or am I reading posts from people who don't know what they're talking about? Is there any reason this wouldn't be included in the Marshmallow binaries download they provided? If this data is correct, do they intend to release them in the future?
Thanks

I cannot speak to what sony will do in the future but currently there is no modem/camera from my understanding either.
You can read through the full thread on the issue here:

@jerpelea is part of the freexperia project so pretty much anything he says on the topic should be correct as he is one of the people who helps manage the sony aosp repos
This was his last comment on the issue:
