Seidio HTC Evo Innotraveler Mod for NS4G

I was very disappointed when I got my NS4G yesterday that there aren't great car docks that support cases like the Seidio Innotraveler for the HTC Evo: http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/ck17hev4c04.htm.
I got to thinking about the possibilities for modding my current Innotraveler, and the prospect looked promising. As you can see from the pics from Seidio's site, the only real challenge is to move the USB connector over slightly so it aligns with the connector on the NS4G; the device itself should fit (well enough) when used with a case, and I don't care about covering the headphone jack as I connect to my car stereo via BT. I popped it open and found the inside to be incredibly simple. With an Exacto knife and a fair amount of JB Weld (or some other putty-like adhesive), it should be a piece of cake.
I will keep you posted and will try to remember to take pics during the project.

[Q] Hardware - removing and relocating rear camera?

First time on here and I initially posted in the streak 5 section, not the streak 7... doh! I don't know how many of you visit both sections so I figured I'd repost in the right place! (I hope that's not against etiquette here)
Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312256
Hi... bit of an odd question here:
I'm looking into the Dell Streak 7 as a base for a carpc. I expect to build it permanently into my dash so the rear casing isn't too imporant to me. I'd love to be able to remove the rear facing camera and move it to the front of the car (probably in the radiator grill) so i can record videos of track days directly from the streak.
I'm relatively handy with a soldering iron and have no problems running the wiring through the car, but would prefer not to be desoldering a 32pin DIL package! Therefore I'm wondering if anyone knows what the camera connection is like internally? Is it on its own board that I can easily relocate or is it mounted on a board that hosts other buttons that I wouldn't want to remove from the case?
On the original thread someone posted the video of the Streak 7 teardown (which, as an anti-spam measure, I can't repost unless I spam another 8 posts on the boards first!) to which I responded:
Looking at the placement, the camera looks like it's in that last black lump to be removed from the case, after the main board is removed. However it's connected with a mini coaxial connector rather than a 24pin 0.4mm pitch connector as I was expecting. Unless that streak didn't have a rear camera?

It is possible to use a jeweler's screwdriver, flat blade, to unscrew those screws... I just did it yesterday. Pick up a set of jeweler's screwdrivers at the dollar store. Choose one where the flat blade just fits between one of the wings and the center of the screw head. Use a pair of pliers to grab the handle of the screwdriver so that you get a lot of torque. Press down hard onto the screw with one hand, so the screwdriver does not slip, and use the pliers with the other hand to rotate the screwdriver. After about 180degs of rotation, the screw should be loose enough to do the rest without the pliers.
hi guys thanks so much for the help. let me see if i can get the jewelers option to work first

Gear Live Repairability via ifixit

This is a great guide to repairing our Gear Live watches that may come in handy with the reports of broken charger tabs. It actually looks like a pretty easy job to replace the back cover providing that they're available to purchase.

If this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it to a more appropriate location.
A piece of plastic chipped off the back of my watch and the clasp on the left hand side of my charging dock broke yesterday. I have to use a piece of tape to hold watch against pins. That took only a month to happen. Pisses me off because I didn't listen to the reviewers or forums. Think I may grab a 360 if Samsung won't fix it. I bought it off eBay brand new last month, so I don't know how that's all gonna work. You pay $250 (or whatever the final price is) and the back is plastic as well as the charging dock. Live and learn I guess. I still love the hell out of the watch, but DEFINETELY see this same exact thing happening to a lot of folks.

Online place for changing the battery of the samsung s6 edge

Hello,
I don't know if this is the right place where to ask,but I wanna try to ask here. One of my friend two years ago bought the "samsung galaxy s6 edge". Now the battery is broken and he should find a on line place to change it with a new battery, without to pay a big amount of money to make the operation. Do you know where he could go ? He tried to go in local shops but they asked to him a lot of money. Take also in consideration that it is a relatively easy operation to do...thanks
If the battery is swollen, or the phone looks fat, other components may have already been damaged. Do -not- try to charge it. Buy the correct official battery (one that has been very recently manufactured and the two adhesive strips if not already included), the adhesive layer for the back glass (or a brand new back glass with adhesive already attached) and do it yourself.
It is not simple. You must do research, don't rush things and even then you risk breaking the back glass, wireless charging pad, main board, OLED display/digitizer/front glass (while removing battery due to the adhesive), various ribbon cables, connectors and other parts. It is the only way to potentially save money (but not time). Videos are here. You will also want to test functionality of the USB port and wireless charging pad.
Otherwise, contact Samsung directly and send it in.

I'm not sure if this is relevant but it took me 15 minutes with a suction cup and a Phillips 00 screwdriver and a $10 oem new battery. Just buy a new back glass for another $10 if you dont want to be careful with it. Check ebay. I swear its not that hard just take your time once it's open to not break cables.
