[Q] Is 'seed' the code name of all 2nd gen Android One with Snapdragon 410 chip? - Android One (Second-Generation) General

I just want to know if they (i-mobile IQ II, General Mobile 4G, etc) all have the same code name 'seed'?

Android One phones with Similar specs to GMG4. Yes.

Every single Android One device with a Snapdragon 410 beating inside it is a seed.
Second gen MTK variants were originally named as 'sprout' by LAVA and INFINIX, but I said, **** you, and changed them to 'seedmtk' Official TWRP is now available for both variants, with CM13 already available for Snapdragon ones and on the way for MTK.

[Q] What is KLTE?

I have been looking through the ROMs and such and trying to find something that will flash onto my AT&T SGS5, and I see a variety of references to KLTE or some variation of the acronym .
First off, what is KLTE? Is it just another way of saying 4G LTE Based phones, or is there other meaning behind it.
Second, I believe that the AT&T SGS5 is called the GM-G900A. What is the difference between the different identifiers that are all GM-G900(X). Is there only a carrier difference, or is there any hardware differences?

Bit mystified, isn't it? Any idea where it'd come from?

I guess it's called KLTE because it's shorter than Qualcomm Long Term Evolution.:good:

Well, okay, that bit makes sense. But then it would be LTE, rather than KLTE. (On top of which I've also heard reference to HLTE)
Is this just another Kang thing? (Such as AOKP versus AOSP?)
Conversely, is there a term for those SGS5 devices that are not KLTE? ("International", maybe?)

The KLTE = All S5's that are based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 chipset (including the "International").
K stands for Krait, which is the name of the CPU.
Afaik there is only one octa-core Exynos based model and it's called SM-G900H.

But which one for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5

We need developers

It's been almost 4 months since 2nd generation released. But there's no development. We don't even have a custom recovery. Please rise this device like first generation guys!

Oh, In India it was released a few weeks ago.
I thought that lava pixel is released in india?
Seed repository is already uploaded to AOSP (only checked kernel though) so that should be a signal to start development. I'd do it myself but don't have a device yet as I just bought a Mi4i and still have to save enough for a G1.
I'm interested, too. May aim is to port FirefoxOS for this device, but I think that's a long way?! I've never done this before (except building some linux for my Treo650 long time ago...), so I'm quite new to all the android stuff. Is there somewhere a good resource to get started porting a custom android or something similar to a device like the android one?

Yu Yuphoria has similar specs. Here's the device tree: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_yu_lettuce
I think one can jumpstart from there. I'd like to contribute to the development, as soon as I get my hands on this device.
Infinix Hot 2 has been released too...looking for developers
There is still no android development for lava pixel v1..its also a android one device...with far better specs..why no development for it??(lava pixel v1) in india

Lava claims that the Pixel V1 is built using "Google certified hardware". In this case, that includes the rather aged quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 SoC with integrated Mali-400 MP2 graphics.

Different Hardware as the other "One's", additionally most Developers stop reading after "Mediatek".
This device seems to be an "India only" thing...uninteresting for the rest.
Where 64 bit OS?
Why is the Snapdragon 410 64 bit processor, 32-bit Android OS?

So what karbonn sparkle v1,canvas a1 and micromax a1 was also only for india....still they have so much development still now....den y not for pixel v1?if it has a moderate development den it would be the best low budget smartphone...than the other android one phns

Is the S3 and 2 the same? Is there support for x622?

I chanced upon some threads that suggested that S3 is the US name for the 2, is this true? Also, I see there's CM...etc. support for x522, but what about the x622? My decision on purchasing one solely depends on whether or not there is alternate firmware.

There Are Alot Of Custom roms for le 2 and s3 (Snapdragon)
Ur using the x622 which is mediatek there are only few roms for that
I want to buy mediatek version due to its 4gb of ram but I don't think that mediatek will allow the company to ever release source code. So disappointed
Same here, x622 but i cant find any rom for it

best mediatek phone to buy?

So I am looking for a phone with mediatek chipset, with the ambition of making it into a ghost phone.
Imei number and possibly mac spoofing is only available on non-mediatek devices when using xposed, which seems to be stuck on oreo for the foreseeable future. Correct me if I'm wrong.
What is the most active developed phones to choose from?
Thanks in advance.

SM-T710 vs SM-T713?

Hi everyone,
Can anyone please tell me the difference (if any) between the SM-T710 and SM-T713 models of the Galaxy Tab S2?
I only ask as I've seen some ROMs with the SM-T710 listed as a compatible device but the SM-T713 not listed. I've entered the model numbers into the search tool on XDA but haven't yet found any info discerning one from the other.
I tried GSM Arena website and all it shows me is that a 713 exists, but not the differences between them.
Basically, the opportunity to buy one has come up, but I want to make sure I get one that'll have better custom ROM support. So far that's looking like the 710, but will 710 compatible ROMs not work with (or possibly even damage/brick) a 713?
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.
Thanks!!

The T713 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which supports the G3/G4/LTE radio for mobile network connection.
The T710 has a Samsung Exynos SoC.
They have similar CPU specs, but different peripherals (the radio modem stuff, different GPU, etc.)
Hope this helps.
