General Info & Introduction
Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Many device manufacturers have brought to market devices running Android, and they are readibly available around the world.
Rooting: Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user.

torch seems to be not working. after touching the torch button on the tiles, the button gets stuck. not even a reboot helps. the button stays "pressed" although the torch/flash wont light.

There is no system tab und er advanced is no Option for pie and quick settings. The Rom is very smooth i like it just missing Pierre and qs maybe you should not implement nova and holo launcher. Gonna test it and report. Oh wifi and data are working.

BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP...
I strongly recommend performing a Nandroid backup before installing Rom
Installation without wipe (Coming from previous build):
-Download AOSP NeatROM and save zip to internal SDcard
-Download Google Apps and save zip to internal SDcard
-Boot into Recovery (Volume up + Home + Power)
-Wipe cache and dalvik cache
-Select Install zip from SD card
-Flash NeatROM
-Flash Google Apps (optional)
-Reboot your device

Installation with Full wipe:
-Download AOSP NeatROM and save zip to internal SDcard
-Download Google Apps and save zip to internal SDcard
-Boot into CWM or PhilZ Recovery (Volume up + Home + Power)
-DO A DATA WIPE / Clean to install a new ROM
-Go to Advance and Select Wipe dalvik cache
-Go to Mounts and storage, select Format system
-Select Install Rom from SD card
-Flash NeatROM
-Flash Google Apps (optional)
-Reboot your device

Ultra clean installation [PhilZ CWM]:
#1 Download Gaaps & ROM, move them to the external SDcard
#2 Reboot to CWM (yeah, make sure you have the latest version.. :good
#3 Perform these steps while in CWM:
- Nandroid backup, choose external sdcard (nah, it's always good to have at least one!)
- Install zip → choose zip from storage/sdcard1 -> make sure CWM recognizes your sdcard properly, if so, go back to the main menu,
- Wipe data/factory reset → clean to install a new rom
- Mounts and storage → format /data and /data/media (/sdcard) (it will erase all of your data from internal memory, make sure in #1 that you have the right one zips to flash rom placed in external!); it may take up to 30 seconds, wait patiently
- flash NeatAOSP zip
- flash gaaps
- reboot system now
P.S.1. Remember to backup data you want to keep, f.e. photos - place it on your computer temporary.
P.S.2 It will NOT wipe your external storage(external SDcard I mean), don't worry.
#4 be happy with fully cleaned device running smoothest AOSP rom here
Thanks @malachow
First off - check out the FAQ before posting
* Use always latest version of recovery
* To get Root working go to Dev Tools/Developer options/Root access
* To activate ART go to Dev Tools/Developer options/Select runtime
Q: How to set custom lockscreen wallpaper?
A: Rename your image to "lockscreen_wallpaper.jpg" and copy it to data/NeatRomWallpaper/here (replace the original)
Q: How to change DPI?
A: Look here
Q: Trying to flash, but I'm getting a status 7 error?
A: Update your recovery (Get the latest Philz from here)
Q: My Ext SD isn't being recognised any more?
A: If your Ext SD is exFat, then format it as FAT32 don't forget to backup your data.
(For Windows users - try using Easeus Partition Manager - see here)
Q; Advanced Reboot doesn't seem to be working?
A: To activate Advanced Reboot Options go to System Settings/Security/Advanced Reboot
Q; ART doesn't seem to be working?
A: To activate ART go to Dev Tools/Developer options/Select runtime and ensure "Use Art" is selected. Don't forget to reboot!!!
If that doesn't work - then uninstall Xposed before changing to ART as Xposed doesn't work with ART. (see here)
Q: ART is not working, causing application issues I have xposed framework installed
A: Art should work fine as long as if you are not using xposed framework
Use root explorer
Navigate to system/bin
Check to see if you have 'app_process.orig'
If so delete it and try ART again
Q: What is ART - http://source.android.com/devices/tech/dalvik/art.html
A: ART stands for ‘Android RunTime’ and its job couldn’t be more important: it runs the apps on Android devices.
ART replaces ‘Dalvik’ (named after the Icelandic village where creator Dan Bornstein’s ancestors lived) which has performed this task since Android first appeared.
As you might expect Dalvik was getting very long in the tooth and it wasn’t that great in the first place. In giving it the boot users will get two significant benefits
1. More Speed
Dalvik uses the ‘Just-in-time’ (JIT) process which means it has to transform app source code into an executable program every time it starts.
Android apps have to run through a conversion each time they are started.
By contrast ART uses the ‘Ahead-of-time’ (AOT) process and this compiles (aka does the conversion) when an app is installed.
Using this method apps can launch up to twice as quickly which will have a dramatic effect on the sense of speed of your phone.
2. Better battery Life
AOT processing is making app-launch a less intensive process, so your phone doesn’t have to work as hard which increases battery life.
Using your phone you won’t see a major difference, but significant gains will come in standby as apps which run in the background will now do so more efficiently
Downsides of ART
1. It uses more storage Or to be more precise your installed apps will use more storage – roughly 10% to 20%.
This is because the pre-compiled apps which allow ART to run so quickly and efficiently have to be installed this way which makes them bigger compared to Dalvik’s on-demand method.
For those with a lot of apps installed this could take a significant chunk of your available space, they will also take a little longer to install.
2. Some apps are incompatible on Android 4.4.2, if you do find a key app that doesn’t work it is possible to switch back to Dalvik.
Q: Where is superuser?
A: Superuser is nicely integrated in Settings/Advanced Options!
Q: Battery draining quickly
A: Install Better Battery Stats Google Play
XDA Thread on understanding BBS
Q: How do I remove system apps?
A:Go into Settings/SlimCenter/Slimsizer. Tick the boxes for the apps you want to remove and then click the delete icon (bin) in the bottom right corner.
Q: Have an different ROM and want to come on to AOSP NeatROM, don't want to lose apps/data
A: Install Titanium and backup apps/data - Knowledge base
Full wipe - including - Delvik and Cache
Flash ROM flash gapps
Reboot
Install titanium
Restore your apps
Reboot
Activate art (optional)
Reboot
Q: Applications are not installing, insufficent space messages
A: se root explorer
Navigate to data/data
Find the application which you were installing (for e.g com.android.xposed)
Delete it
Install the application

OrionOS is a project based on slim. The name Orion was chosen as a representation of the beauty and vastness of world around us (Too much Philosophy, eh? ). We started this project for falcon (Moto G), to make a stable Rom which would include Bitsyko layers and important customization. The Rom is built with Uber toolchain which delivers awesome smoothness and is packed with a custom kernel built from ground-up to ensure good performance [WIP]. Needless to say, this project is a product of our hobbies and the love we bore for Android.
Please read the information in the second post!

Info
If you face any FC which is related to the ROM please take a logcat and submit it to our G+ bug report section! Thank you
As always some notes by me:
I made this Rom for all LG L90 models but I only own a D405 which makes it nearly impossible to fix any issues on other variants.
- D415 users don't need to unlock bootloader, it is already open
- Yes, Ambient Display is included @arunon2013
- About StormySea: I will keep up doing standalone flashable zips.
I'll dig up my L90 and give it a shot!
This'll be my first experience with M, so I'm excited!

Oh thank you. You're right I just copied and pasted the url which was the url logged into my dev account. I corrected it in the OP.
The ROM is great, but it have some bugs that are allready solved in CM13 like HereMaps FC and enable to store pictures on SD Card. I hope that it will be solved soon so i can use it as my daily driver. Maybe when it will be updated to the latest CM source and switched to Android 6.0.1 it will be solved.. By the way, great job...

Orion is slim based, not cm based.
@mosimchah
Exactly. @trygor
Seriously, I don't think a specific app FC is a Rom issue. Slim developing is a bit slow atm but they are starting to do some work on M. We will merge up with them as soon as they are done with merging 6.0.1_r3 from AOSP.
What do you mean by storing images on the sdcard? Does the camera app lack this feature or do you mean something else?

When HereMaps is about it is ROM based issue, that is why i did not use CM13 untill it's not updated to Android 6.0.1, it had exact the same problem with this app and now on 6.0.1 the app work perfect without any FC. As for Camera, there is no option to store pictures on SD Card, this was issue on CM too untill 20160103 build also.. Now there is option for Storage location where it is a choice to use internal memory or SD card..

I don't know all good themes aren't free like normal cm13 themes , in any case for you it can be pretty good but I can't find a theme that I like

Read the second post. I have no idea what you did but OrionOs is the smoothest ROM for me ATM. @trygor
OK I will add this option Didn't notice it wasn't there.
Great
Camera app doesnt work fine.
It saves normal pictures but preview looks like that.
And trebuchet launcher doesnt have alphabetical view like it was in cm13 and previous ones.

The same issue was fixed some time ago on cm, so i think it's just matter of adding that fix

I think I remember I hadn't this bug on the last build? WhatsApp camera displays the preview image correctly... somehow.
This isn't Trebuchet. If you don't like feel free to use CM's launcher or any other like Nova.
Didnt know. I thought it was trebuchet. It looks so similar

But you must install it one by one manually
And it works for me :good:
FYI. I used this methods when using ROM like Liquid Remix, Cardinal and LOS 14.1.
Because those ROM (rooted) can work with my OVO and Digi Bank app.
