Any Spigen Ultra Hybrid owners? Fitment issues . - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Accessories

Ordered the clear and rose gold colors for my wife and I. Her rose gold fitment is off on the sides as in it fits loose and not snug. My clear initially fit good on the sides but is becoming more and more loose. Also both cases have a small hole defect on bottom right side. Will be contacting Spigen shortly. Any others with these issues?

I also ordered the neo hybrid cases (non-clear) and they seem solid. I just love a clear case tho to show off the gorgeous device. ?

Got the clear one and it fits nice and tight. Is stopped me feeling like the device will slip out my hand any moment and had even speed me performing "micro presses"on the screen with the side of my hand!

Just got the neo hybrid silver and put it on. For some reason it feels much more beastly compared to the ultra hybrid and I am not feeling it that much. Maybe because of the black edges covering the sides VS the see thru edges of the ultra hybrid hmmm. I like the ultra minus the minor issues but one thing is the ultra doesnt seem to have that much drop protection. I just ordered the neo hybrid Crystal case that may be the winner here.

Yes, however I was able to resolve the issues with a little bit of work. I saw someone point this out and I massaged the edges particularly around the buttons a bit more.
Here's earlier in the day:

And here's tonight after a little bit of work. Overall the case fits snugly and feels sturdy in my hand.
I personally love this series from Spigen. The PC bumper could fit tighter but it's nowhere near enough for me to take it off.

In case anyone didn't realise the difference, Spigen do two ranges of Neo Hybrid. Standard range which has coloured rear/under layer and choice of coloured bumper. The second range titled "Crystal" has a transparent rear/under layer and choice of coloured bumper.
I bought the latter in Gunmetal purely because I prefer transparent cases that show off the phone below.

Have clear hybrid ultra. Pushes the screen protector off. Anyone know of a good protector that won't push off.

I've had my Spigen Ultra Hybrid crystal clear on my S7 Edge since March 5th and the case fits perfectly. I removed the case yesterday for the first time to install my Skinomi screen protector. I put my Spigen case back on this morning and it fits the same way as when I first got it. I bought my case from Amazon.

I'm hoping a screenknight will work with it.

Are the PC frames interchangable betweem the hybrid/hybrid cystal cases?

I bought the cheap Verizon 3 pack screen protectors and so far the edges have not peeled up yet with multiple removal of all these cases per day.

Mines just bleh. The case looks nice aside from the buttons being way too stiff for comfort. I've only used it a handful of times, so I can't vouch for its durability.

Got the neo hybrid crystal and unfortunately fitment was very bad. The side buttons are pretty flush and the sides of the PC bumper are loose and raised. Bummer because the crystal hybrid looks awesome.

Looked up the spigen warrenty they offer free replacement but I need to ship items back. Probably $6 or so to ship it back I paid 15 so wonder if it is even worth the hassle to be honest. For those who have defective Spigen cases, are you going through the trouble of returning for warranty exchange?

I too have the Ultra Hybrid clear and it fits just right, it's tight and it doesn't seem to have gotten loose in the first couple days of use. Buttons work alright, makes the phone look pretty good imo. I have a similar Spigen case on my Nexus 5 (got it from day 1 both phone and case) and to this day I still have it and functional, I hope this Spigen case can live up to the rep and trust my last Spigen case gave me.

i bought the clear ultra hybrid also, I find that because of the solid back the edges aren't rounded and even have a sharp edge. This takes away all the comfort built into the phone. Can't wait to trash it and get something that keeps the phone as comfortable to hold as the phone was designed to be. Also the buttons on the cover have sharp edges. Overall fit seems to be fine.

Just got mine. There's a cut out for the power button/ir transmitter. Its slightly loose on the extreme top.
And the supcase logo on the back isn't centered and its a bit crooked. Other than that its fine for a 10$ case

Awesome, in for one then!
If anyone has one of these, can you describe the quality of the built in screen protector?
Does it feel like cheap plastic or glass? Does dust get trapped under there easily?
Would really appreciate it, that Supcase full body unicorn beetle looks awesome in my opinion!
I bought this Supcase.

Quality seems good. The clear power button is not loose at all. Lovely design, plenty of room around the camera and flash. Plenty of room around the headphone socket. No sharp edges that I find on some ~£10 cases.
Only problem is I ordered blue, and they sent me black...

I have both the Hybrid and the Unicorn Beetle... Didn't like the Hybrid at all. The fit on it is not that good, the top and bottom lips are a bit loose and saggy. Because of that, a lot dust and lint collects through there and into the case. I took it off after a week and also noticed some scratching on the clear glossy back. I don't recommend it at all, I think after some time, this case could possibly do more harm than good to your phone.
However, I also got the Unicorn Beetle and love the case! It's as if it was made by a different manufacturer, lol. The case fits perfect, good and snug, but not too tight. I wasn't crazy about the matte plastic bumper at first, it felt kind of slippery, but after a few days it seems to have broken in and feels good, nice grip. Highly recommend the Beetle over the Hybrid, totally worth the extra $4 or so.
i'm interested in the supcase white/clear but can anyone confirm if the white yellows? thanks.
which one?

That is the case that I ordered. Reasonable build quality, the rubber on the sides is pretty firm, and a little bit more grip-y than the naked phone.
I like the frosted back, as it feels resiliant enough to withstand an impact, but still shows off the brushed aluminum on the back of the phone.
Ive noticed a little bit of glare in photos with the flash enabled, I noticed that the edge surrounding the camera lens what polished so I lightly sanded it which noticeably decreased the problem.
The cutouts for the power and audio connections were a little sharp for me so I beveled them off with an exacto.
All in all, great quality case for what you are paying, and it makes me more confident in my grip on the phone!
I cant link because im to new a member apparently..

Finding the perfect case for the Galaxy S6 Edge

When searching for the right case for your smartphone, try to remember, useability over style. It will save you a lot of headache.
I get an Arielle case for the edge and this case has got the protection I needed for my phone. The past case I had was a standard hard black PLASTIC cover. Wasn't worth a darn. It chipped first time I dropped it and has really bad scraps. NOT WITH THIS CASE. The Arielle Galaxy case is quite different. I've already dropped and it held up just fine. The case is part plastic but feels like a rubber has been added. It's softer and flexible. You can bend it back and forth. Also you can twist it some. Phone fits perfect and just snaps in place. All the openings and buttons are correct and push smoothly. Wipes down easy with damp rag.
The color of case is an attractive teal. (I call it teal) it's for sure different than most phone case color choose I've seen. Then it has cut outs on it with the black from inside of case showing through that. It makes it look like leather stitching. Neat design the way it's been done. I do like the case and recommend purchase."

I came across this one ( Armor King Metal Aluminium case ) and I love the aspect of it ( really looks awesome ) and from the reviews I read most people like it.
Anyone bought this ? I'm looking forward to buying it soon.
A flip case, pouch case or wallet case protects the screen from ever being cracked. I've owned a smartphone since 2003 and always used one of those 3 and never broke the screen, even before Gorilla Glass.
I bought se original Samsung flip case. One day later I accidentaly droppt the phone from a table -> display broken.
Now I'm using a rubber case.

I think Slim armor is a good case
1 vouch for the spigen thin fit case. Very comfortable to hold, great design, and it also provide protection for ur phone. yet very grippy.. but there is a draw back.. since it grippy. If u put the case on a dusty surface, it will pick up some dust.
I received a case for my S6 edge. When I opened this package I had no idea it was gonna be this phone case (the box is amazingly high quality and very well done). It resembles the packaging of a fancy bracelet/necklace - kudos on the box gus.
This is a very high quality samsung galaxy s6 edge case it fits the phone superbly all the cutouts are done very professionally all the buttons are in the right place.
I especially like the 2 in 1 it adds a bit of quality to the case the metal looks very classy it has the name turata embodied into the metal plate and four bolts in each corner.
Overall I am extremely impressed with this case from turata the quality is excellent it fits brilliantly what else fo you need.

Comfortable and cheap! Many on the net say it protected their phones...still haven't dropped mine.

The best case I have come across so far is http://www.amazon.com/URBAN-ARMOR-GEAR-Samsung-Packaging/dp/B00TRG8KGY.
I am not a huge fan of the design aesthetic, but the case really does a great job. The other week, the case protected my edge from a really nasty drop onto concrete caused by a drunk idiot in a bar.

Ringke slim vs Spigen Fit

Hi everyone, anyone whi tried both cases?
I have the google one in tpu (adopted) and I want to try another one.
Wich is the best? Look very similar.
I've ordered the spigen one this morning, then I saw the Ringke.
Maybe I could cancel the order and take the ringke,
if it is better.
I had the Spigen on a Nexus 5 for 2 years. The only issue I found was when I held the phone in one hand I rested it on my little finger, which after a while was a little uncomfortable due to the sharp bottom edge of the case.
I ordered one for my 5X but with the phone being that bit heavier? it was too uncomfortable, so I got a Ringke fusion which I'm really happy with.
The Ringke slim covers the whole bottom edge? so shouldn't have that particular problem
I was torn between these 2 cases as well...ultimately I went with the ringke because it covers the whole bezel as apposed to the spigen which does not cover the top and bottom. I do have the case however I won't have the phone until Monday to put it in. I may get a spigen latter on as they have a white option and ringke does not and I wanted my black 5x to have a white case with the black finger print scanner.

Same here - went for the Ringke for the all round protection which is missing from the Spigen.
I just got my Ringke Slim to replace my Spigen Thin Fit. The material feels exactly like the Spigen which is great. The Ringke feels slightly "slimmer", on the sides and on the back, the camera bump protection is still there but slightly less pronounced, you have to look real hard. I like this case a lot, and it wraps around the whole phone now. No more sore pinky finger I hope. If you are looking at both of these cases, I think the Ringke is a better all round choice.
Ringke Slim. No question. It's the perfect case, in my opinion. It has full protection, unlike the Spigen option, and the form fit/cut-outs are absolutely perfect.

I just wish the Ringke had a space between the sensor and the camera and didn't have an open area then. Other than that, love it. The cover for the headphone jack was a bonus!

I don't use cases for all device. But I prefer Spigen Brand.

I bought some real and knockoff Spigen cases - A Review/Comparison

I should clarify that neither of the ebay cases were advertised as spigen cases at all, and the clear one in particular is just really a generic case. But the 'New bumper hybrid' was definitely made to look like the spigen neo hybrid. Also note all prices are in AUD. And they're for a Galaxy S7 edge. I apologise for the quality of the photos of the s7 edge as they were taken with my old phone (Nokia Lumia 1320). I tried to include lots of photos (click the imgur links), let me know if i missed anything.

Design-wise they look the same, spigen one is made of slightly thicker material. If you want the thinnest case available, the $2 one is probably it. They both have the same dotted pattern on the back. The spigen is more shiny whereas the $2 one is a bit dull looking. The spigen one has a bit of a lip so the screen wont touch the table if placed face down. The $2 one has maybe half a millimeter of a 'lip'. Essentially nothing. Most importantly the spigen case has more structure and rigidity. The sides fit snugly and securely around the phone. The $2 ebay one...not so much. While it does fit and genuinely isnt that bad (for $2, quite acceptable), the sides just dont hold on to the phone that well. If you hold the phone by the edges, the weight of the phone pulls the case off a bit (not enough to pull any of the corners off though). Here are photos showing the problem: http://imgur.com/a/lHCZG The spigen one is rock solid. One other thing to note is there is a small line around the edge of the $2 one and its definitely noticable when holding (feels a bit rough). The spigen is pretty smooth all round with the exception of the bottom rear near the ports. That one straight line is a bit 'sharp' for lack of a better word. But fortunately you dont feel it with the 'pinky grip' (placing your pinky under the phone to support it). The $2 by contrast is actually very smooth underneath (which is always nice for resting your pinky).
Buttons: Buttons feel good on both, maybe a little bit better on the spiegen, however not really a noticeable difference. Looking at the buttons, they both seem to be molded similarly.
Conclusion: I wouldn't really recommend either of the clear cases if you want protection. However for scratch and maybe some really minor drop protection, they're very nice cases. I'd say they're both priced about right for what you get.
New Bumper Hybrid Case ($8) vs Neo Hybrid ($30)
Photo Album: http://imgur.com/a/q8uwa
They look very similar thats for sure. The kockoff was advertised as black but the bumper is more of a bluish-grey in reality. Not as nice as the gunmetal neo hybrid though. The knockoff is clearly plastic around the edge, while the neo hybrid has the illusion of metal (but it is plastic). Another difference is the knockoffs back is flat, whereas the spigen is curved at the edges. Spigen is also much more rigid overall. The material just looks much better on the spigen. The TPU on the edges of the knockoff look 'spotty' (not a bad thing necessarily) but the spigen looks nice, smooth and soft.
Both of them do separate (the plastic outer and tpu inner) but i havent taken them apart as I've heard many spigen neo hybrids don't quite fit together properly, plus i don't know what the hell will happen to the knockoff if i try.
One issue with the spigen is the usb cutout has rather sharp edges, and thats where my pinky would go when i hold the phone. The knockoff is smoother rounded plastic and feels better on my pinky.
Buttons: Spigen is definitely better. Not to say the knockoff is bad, but it feels a little mushy in comparison. I actually got the knockoff first and thought the buttons were quite decent before i got the spigen. I still think they're fine though. Nothing dealbreaking.
Conclusion for these two is, the $8 knockoff is surprisingly good. Looks less premium for sure, but it is only $8 after all. Still happy with my purchase. The Spigen neo hybrid on the other hand...... $30 is too much for what it is. And thats discounted from its RRP of $40. It's a nice case, but that sharp bottom edge is not something that you should find on a $30 premium case. Wait for sales on this one.

Patchworks Level ITG
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Note-Patchworks-Level-White/dp/B075258BFF
I would say this is a intermediate protection case. It's slim and not very bulky. I would not be afraid to drop this onto hard concrete. Surprisingly nice looking packaging for a brand I haven't heard of.
This case simply hugs the phone, best fit of all the cases here. It's a hybrid material but it's molded as a one-piece case. It has enough grip on the TPU sides. The polycarbonate back has a matte finish so it will probably resist scratches well enough. There is an extra protruding lip near the camera opening so you can tell where to put your finger when you're looking for the fingerprint reader. This has to be the favorite of this bunch. I've never heard of the company but I am interested in seeing what they have to offer after using this case.
I would recommend this case for $13 retail.
-Hard polycarbonate back
-Soft TPU inner
-Really nice fit and finish
-Great fit
-Solid enough for drops
-Has space for metal plate (car mount)
Lumion Huey
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Note-Case-Huey-Lightweight/dp/B074T4LVJG
Thin TPU with nice texture and design on the back. There is no issue with fit and this will be my go-to for a slim TPU case. It slides on and off without much effort but it won't fall off by itself, but it is thin TPU so some may not like the flimsier sides. The company is now called Lumion, but I believe we all know them by the name VRS Design. They make decent cases from my experience with them. Good choice for light drop protection.
I would recommend this one for $10 retail.
-Slim
-Really decent fit
-Soft TPU
-Looks nice
-Brushed metal pattern on the bottom half
Maxboost mSnap
https://www.amazon.com/Maxboost-Midnight-Resistant-Excellent-Protective/dp/B0749CSD7D
Although it's nice and minimalist, it's just stiff polycarbonate and it's not particularly grippy. There isn't much in terms of lip around the camera area.
It's difficult to put on as the polycarbonate is pretty stiff.
I would pass on this case for the price of $8 retail.
-Really slim
-Hard polycarbonate
-Smooth
-Covers most of the phone
Ringke Wave
https://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Absorbent-Full-Body-Resistant-Protection/dp/B074GY1NPX
For a TPU hybrid case, it's very difficult to insert the phone.
They decided to use super stiff TPU. Feels like I was going to break my phone trying to put it in and take it out.
Large/sharp lip would lift your screen protector.
The case looks larger/thicker than it really is, and that's not a good thing.
I would pass on this one even though it's just $8 retail.
-Hard TPU Inner
-Two piece design
-Hard polycarbonate outer
-Large lip

Honestly, it's nothing special. It's similar to the Ringke Fusion series and nothing about it stands out. I can talk more about this one if anyone's interested. It'll probably yellow very quickly given the look and feel of the clear TPU.
I would pass on this case even though it's just $7 retail.
-Soft TPU sides
-Polycabonate back
-Cheap feeling TPU
That Maxboost case... mine came in yesterday, and I immediately circular-filed it. Glad I only payed 40¢ for it.

I cant seem to find a case I like smh
I'm waiting on the White Speck Presidio case to come down in price. I have 9 Ringke and Caseology cases. Most are nice but that grip of the Specks is unmatched.

Liking the Patchworks case. I love that it has space for car mount metal plates. This is really useful for me. I know Spigens thin fit case also have this. Anyone know of other cases with such feature?
Could someone please recommend a super thin case that has covers all of the bottom holes with flaps? Including the S-pen, USB, and Aux areas? I will gladly rock a pink case if that's the only available cover ^.^
I can't stand the sharp feel of cases with these holes exposed.
I have the ringke wave. It is very stiff but good for $1.92
Could anyone with the Patchworks case pictured in OP's post comment on whether it works with the Whitestone Dome?

I like the hard and minimalist maxboost look. it sits perfectly flat on my desk at work.
The speck will have to wait because I am in love with the Patchworks Level case. The simple styling and feel in hand is amazing. The grip!!!! It's my daily driver for sure.
I absolutely LOVE the Patchworks Flexguard case for the S8+. Unfortunately I read the Note 8 version suffers from being too loose.
The more sturdy patchworks case came today and it is great!

Yeah this Patchworks level case put my other 9 caseology, ringke and lumion cases into retirement. I wish I had bought every color when the sale ran.
Honestly, I got the PW LEVEL case for $2 on a Slickdeals weeks ago. I have to say I am using it over all my Spigen and VRS cases right now. Everything about it is amazing
Ordered the Patchwork one with TPU clear back on amazon and they delayed it so they sent me the black level case for free. I like it, I think it is just a little bit "slippery" if my hands are dry.

same, but I ordered contour, they sent me the level for free says the contour is delayed and will be shipped today or tomorrow...
Yeah same here. Ordered the Contour and got a Level b'c it was delayed. I'm excited to eventually have both. The texture feel and the size grip texture is fabulous.
I am now waiting for my UAG

Case came, and I can confirm it is NOT too loose. Well, it is a loose fitting design, but it is comparable to the S8+ case. The reviews are being overly dramatic.

The S8+ Level one was super slippery to me - like, crazy insane slippery if you had dry hands, because the back is 100% smooth matte hard plastic. I can't imagine why they didn't give it a little knurling. I was actually considering drizzling silicone sealant back and forth, like a pattern haha. I ended up going with the Flexguard and have been happy.
